Yuck! Silicone bottles taste like - silicone!

Okay... The reason why I was able to identify the rubber taste last night, was because I had cleaned my palette. The taste is EXACTLY that of the smell of a bicycle inner tube or a new tire. No question about it, silicon is leaching from the bottle into the fluid. If I keep my squonk mods, I'll be using the hard plastic OEM bottles.

Update: Went back to the OEM hard bottle - problem solved. I don't know if this is limited to the SJMY bottles? I have silicone bottles for my DNA75 BF Therion, but I wanted to leave that mod sealed. The Therion bottles are authentic lost vape silicone bottles.

Methinks maybe you got a crap bottle.
I have 2 Therion bottles, 2 Pulse BF bottles, and 2 dotmod bottles. I also have 2 silicone refill bottles. None have given any additional flavor.

Well, both SJMY (VT Inbox) bottles are gassing into the liquid. My Therion bottles aren't SJMY, so maybe I'll have better luck with those.

Solvents are used to create silicone, so it’s not impossible if the bottles were very recently made. One would think that they would stop after a few weeks though and shipping from china takes longer than that. Very odd.

No issues at all with the OEM hard plastic bottle. Brushed my teeth, vaped a few ml's before bed, no rubber taste at all.
