zenesis 2 and kick by envolv how to make it work?

I tried googling but could not find a answer. How do I make these two work together? I tried to put it in but nothing happens.

Put kick inside the battery tube, use one size smaller battery, fire. (18650 tube = 18490 + kick, 18490 tube= 18350 + kick).

ETA: Don't reverse the polarity either, the side with the blue potentiometer is on top, and the kick sits on top of the positive side of the battery if it wasn't clear.

That is what I did and it still didn't work. Do you think there is something wrong with the kick?

Does the Zenisis work with those batteries, without the Kick? Do you have another mech to put the Kick in? Do you have other "known good" batteries?
By the process of elimination, if you have what I've listed, you can determine pretty quick what works and what doesn't. If you don't, or don't have a multi-meter, you're kinda guessing.

Yes my zenesis works perfect the batteries are working good. I'm not sure but I thought I red somewhere that the inside of the zenesis needs to be sanded down in order for it to work?

"GROUND SPRING: You will notice a small spring attached to the top (side edge) of the Kick. This has been carefully designed and is an ESSENTIAL component of the Kick for proper functioning. The spring MUST make contact with the grounded inner wall of the battery tube. If this spring does not make contact, the Kick will not function. SOME (few) DEVICES HAVE ANODIZED or POWDER COAT ON THE INSIDE OF THE BATTERY Compartment. This can interfere with the ground connection. These coatings must be removed at the point of contact with the ground spring."

I guess I have to sand it down? What kind of sand paper do I use?

220 or 320 grit wet/dry should be fine. If you want "shinier"... 400 or 600 grit. Make sure and use it "wet".

Or just a peace of steel wool. You don't need anything fancy. You are just trying to take off a little bit of anodizing.

Is it hard anodize, or thin cosmetic shiz? I work with a lot of hard anodize... I forget there's that thin crap out there. Yeah... hell, you can probably scrap it off with your fingernail. ;-)
