I'm jealous....I could use a dose of "Big Bear or maybe some Flagstaff" right about now.

Jacob's Lake Inn, Jacob's Lake, AZ. Just above the North Rim of The Grand Canyon. About 1000 ft. higher, cooler, less people, forests, good contempletative spot. Canyon changes coloration spectacularly throughout the day, especially approaching sundown. Lots of times closed though in winter due to snow, unless you have skis on your plane. It's doable. No fuel, FBO or other aircraft services available though. Heck, maybe by now there's an airport there.???????? It's been years. Top out in Flag or Williams, used to. Turbo 210 worked nice, high wing, no struts, clearance over ground surprizes, but you know. Stay under max gross allowable a bit on weight. Need about 2500 ft. on T.O. to clear the pines with that bird. Something else, I dunno. About 240 nm from Deer Valley, IIRC. Been a long time since '78 I think it was, terrified my 2nd ex-wife, snicker, snicker. We had Arizona no-fault divorce then, such a blessing.

I better shut up, #3 is glaring at me. Oh hell, I'm in trouble again.

Been looking at certain of the CFRs(Code of Federal Regulations) pertaining to NA religious rights and herbals which can be used religiously if one is enrolled in one's tribe, which I am, Oyate Lakota, Pine Ridge, The Rosebud, Brule, etc. Hell, I can be sooooo religious I almost believe it, what's it? I think there's something to the Alkaloid idea as in olden times my father's elders smoked a "peace pipe". tobacco is not the only source of such constituents, as we experienced this past end of June and early July at our observances up on Pine Ridge and The Rosebud a few months ago. Due to the CFRs in this category and certain little historical blips(W.K. #2, 1973, Pine Ridge) we won't be competing with y'all, wowahwa, or in Italian, Pace, Peace.

Of course there's always your basic senior health care plan medicare doctor. Ach mein schmertz. Only requires simple cooking skills. Not suggesting anyone should do such.

Later, ciao. amba.

You and I think alike on several levels....more then I can share here on the internet. I did some canyon flying not too long ago and love it every time I fly in NW part of AZ. You know your terrain and since my RV7 project is taking a turn I think it might be time to either pick up a Super Cub, or C180 to get in and out of those unpaved strips.

Here is some STOL footage I shot about a year ago in Valdez.

In response to Dodari.....

I need some canyon flying and this might give you a idea of some nice canyon flying I get to do here in Arizona. Nothing like going up to Sedona for some pancakes.

OMG, SO COOL, so balls-out cool!!!!!!!!!! The STOL amazing. The Sedona canyon, mesa scraping absolutely my fix for ever damn near. Loved seeing the critters to the "lower right". The approach and landing at Sedona totally divine! Winds there can reallly make ya' work. What a gas. I needed that majorly. Ah, ah ,ah, OMG. I don't get to do that anymore, too old. The music behind the Sedona flight perfect.

Thanks Jerry, takes me back, really does. Flying is so damned intensely spiritual. Gawd how I miss it.

Back to ruptured buzzard/earthworm status. That vid. is so on, so very on.

Thanks HUGE!!:):)
