If you've never smoked, why would you start vaping.
Was just vaping and am concerned about a throat burn that hurt.........

I love the flavor and sensations it gives me.... quite enjoyable and an alternate to the real thing.
Whether you are 12 or 22 when you start smoking ... chances are your throat will still be irritated.
Starting Smoking or Vaping will take some getting used to if you are new to either.

So you are saying it wasn't a dry hit? It felt like burning wood and really hurt.
If the airflow control is closed down it will overheat very fast.

for a non smoker ... IMO, starting smoking or vaping with direct lung hits will most likely burn your throat.
not many people take smoke directly into their lungs when they start smoking ... in fact, most smokers start and stick with mouth to lung smoking.
it could be ... only other non-smokers who take up lung hit vaping will be able to confirm.
however, most everyone here on ECF are ex-smokers.
My brother smokes like a trooper and he tried direct lunging a vape of mine and coughed and spluttered a lot, it really hurt his throat.
I would imagine it would be very irritating for your throat but it does sound like a dry hit of sorts. You have most likely burnt the wick.
Why don't you open it up and see if your wick is burnt?

To me vape wild gold label tasted similar to what you described, over flavored over sweetened burnt wood but without the throat pain.

In the tank with the juice you should be able to get your coil out.
I have no idea of the device your using but usually there is cotton that is pulled through the coiled piece of wire that heats up.
You will be able to see if the cotton had scorch marks
Hopefully somebody can tell you what I mean because I'm terrible at explaining.

Sounds to me like he had burnt his coil quick due to holding the fire button before inhaling. That burning throat sensation therefore makes sense.
I doubt there is any 'may' to it,
new vaper + lung inhale + subohm = gonna be fairly harsh + never smoker = most likley that's it.
There is an outside chance the wicking materiel is singed or burnt, but, if it was primed properly to begin with I doubt it.

Was this before or after you used the disposables you mentioned in your other post?
