Hi guys, having a LOT of problems over here, even though I vape for like 10 years, I'm still a total noob! The first really good vape I tried, after many fails, was the Kangertech pro tank 3, and a juice from Feellife, strawberry and then those were gone here, so I started using others which sucked until I found Hangsen strawberry, jesus so nice!
Then I got this huge ecig which takes 2 coils from the pro tank 3, make a lot more vapor but still suuuper nice flavour! Then my batteries were weak for it, so I had to change to the big boss ones, using those 18650 batteries, but still using only like 20 watts, even though battery reaches 100 (would likely burn out those small coils) but now not only are these coils getting harder to find, but I also get errors like, one battery after some vapes asked "new coil"? and sometimes over and over, so I thought well this battery sucks! then I got another, now this one says "Ohms too high" and I'm like Duuude!!
Now, all those biiig coils I tried, nice brands too, they make a hot vapor which is strong sure, but the flavour is mostly gone, and being hot vapor is really annoying!
Maaan... I just wanna vape in peace and get that sweet strawberry taste while still feeling that kick! Help please, what do I buy?? Every big ... cig I tried with super high watts and stuff are hot as hell and flavor is gone Thanks in advance!

I'm buying some 100MG nic base and wanted to know if I should get it in VG or PG? I usually vape 70VG or higher liquids (no 50/50). I know it's preferred to store this in the freezer and a friend recommended I get a 250ML bottle of whatever base I decide on getting (he said that would be enough to make easily about 8 liters of juice), but I could possibly pull off a 500ML bottle if finances allow it...not sure yet on that. UPDATE: He actually recommended I get in VG base but I still like to hear other people's opinions and experiences.

EDIT: I have read on here before that a lot of people prefer buying nic base in PG. However I read a sticky in this forum from 2016 where someone said nic based VG (in his/her testing) seemed to do better with regards to long term storage in the freezer than PG did (apparently PG based discolored over time where VG based was still crystal clear after like 7.5 years or something). So I'm a bit confused and need some clarification. I assume people prefer PG over VG because PG doesn't thicken in the freezer like VG does and they can just do what they need to do and throw it back in the freezer?

I have been using Vaporesso for several years. I began with the SWAG 80W, which I liked because of the dimensions but then I upgraded to a GEN S 220W which I liked more because with two 18650 batteries it runs for one or two days without need for replacing the batteries. When I decided to buy the GEN S the main reason was choosing it instead of going with something different, was that I had a ton of Vaporesso GT coils to use and that I did not want to through away.
What I do not like of the GEN S is that from time to time I have liquid leaking out of the lower vents and it makes a mess. It does not happen often but it happens.
Tank size is OK, but I would not mind going with something larger.

I am close to run out of GT coils. So, maybe it's a good time to look for something else and I wanted to ask here if there is something else that I should look at.
Things that are most important to me are:

- Reliability. I would prefer going with a well known brand with proven quality. I had to replace my Vaporesso's few times because they started failing.
-No leaks in normal use conditions.
- Battery size/capacity, as I said I like the GEN S because of the two 18650 batteries so I would prefer something that can run as long as the GEN S or longer before having to change batteries (*).
- Tank capacity, Bigger is better.
- Easy to clean, easy to maintain.
- Nothing that I would have to customize. I don't make my own coils and I am not going to star making them.

Can you guys help me in selecting a new kit? Box, tank, coils. I am not up to speed with what is available out there.

I don't think I need something extreme, I vape only unflavored or flavored with menthol (6 mg). Usually in the 52-54W range.
I do not need to stay with the 18650 batteries, they are getting old and I have to start replacing them in any case.

(*) I may consider buying two devices, one bigger for everyday use, and one smaller for when I want something smaller with me, but my preference would be for devices that can use the same coils so I do not need to stock two different types, My priority in any case, currently is the bigger one.

About two weeks ago I got a Kroma Z pod styled vape. It came with two coils 0.3Ω and 0.8Ω and I ordered separately a box of 0.6Ω duo Prime coils. Right now it seems that both 0.6 and 0.8 coils need a bit more watts than recommended. The 0.8 has the best taste at 25W and the 0.6 at 19W. At the minimal recommended wattage both coils produce almost no taste or vapor. The 0.3Ω coil works well within the recommended range, and 35W is the sweet spot.

So I'm wondering, is it possible that the mod is not sending the specified wattage, if set to low values and is closer to the set wattage when in the high values?

Ex smoker here, been rolling tobacco for 30 years and took up vaping a few months ago. Well over the phase of searching for that tobacco flavor that would remind me of smoking , Figured out that tobacco flavors for vape have nothing in common with tobacco smoke. I guess tar or ashtray are not popular aromas, so I just gave in and am doing fruity with a bit of mint now. Started with a lost vape ursa mini pod, and vaped 20mg nic salts for a few months and now have a innokin kroma Z that im still figuring out. Wanted to ask if anyone else here feels that the Z coils need a bit more watts that specified? The 0.8 is specified 15-18W. There is almost no taste at 15W, the taste is kind of flat at 18W and the sweet spot for me is 25W. The 0.6 coil is similar, rated at 9-13W the sweet spot for me si at 19W. Perhaps the device I have is a bit low on the output and needs to be set to a higher wattage, given there is almost no taste on the low end of the recommended wattage. All thoughts appreciated.

Maybe I will move to the UK where there is not as much anti-vaping propaganda....

hi all, I been vaping on and off since 2012, I fell back into cigarettes but am ready to vape and barely smoke at all ( i was down to about 1 cig a month).
Vaping got quite complicated over the years, and I like it simple. I always remember someone joking saying smoking is so easy, 1) put cigarette in mouth 2) light it.
Back in 2013 we basically only used kanthal, then TC came out.
Like anyone, I don't like the ramp up time that kanthal takes but I got used to it, plus I don't vape large coils so it's not so bad. But TC would be nice, however, for safety reasons from articles/blogs it seems kanthal is the safest choice.
I don't plan on dry burning even kanthal much after what I read, I used to often dry burn a used coil cherry red then replace the cotton but now I'm learning dry burning can change the composition etc of the wire, so I'll just replace the wire too, and do a gently dry burn when first building the coil 'to burn off factory oils' or whatever tutorials always used to suggest but maybe people aren't even dry burning brand new kanthal anymore? I build my own coils usually with a small MTL RTA type tank.

ALLLLLL my DNA mods have bricked themselves due to USB charging, like 4 of them about $600 total basically paper weights now, is partly why I got back on cigarettes. I'm now done with DNA brand, they claim to be able to safely charge via USB (which they do, escribe and nitcore externals show they have the same voltage and % after some use) but there's a charging circuit on the board that always fries, the circuit is being sold on ebay quite a bit for just $15 but it's not worth the hassle. I had to warranty repair all my mods and pay to and fro shipping not much but still they brick again in a couple months and I was very gentle on them only vaped small coils on wattage low power.

What I'm getting at is I'm looking for a new MOD that can safely USB charge, because it's so simple to just plug in rather than take battery out plus I've had plenty of nitecores go defective on me over the years too but I replace them to charge my LED headlamps.
Basically any MOD can safely charge via USB if it's just one battery and that's what I want is just a small sort of 18650 MOD - it's only when there's multiple cells that it can become sketchy.
So since I'm leaning towards kanthal likely being the safest coil material and possibly best for flavor, although the flavors always kind of sketched me out and I did well on just %100 VG flavorless ~%7, I'm leaning towards hoping for suggestions for a small MOD that isn't too complicated to use due to many TC etc setting that I won't even need with wattage mode and kanthal. Basically all I'd need is a 5 click lock and wattage up/down?

Someone suggested some months ago Lost Vape Thelema Solo 100 or IP68 but hopefully there's something newer that fits my needs better?

Again, I vape small coils usually and not even more than like 10 Watts, so I don't need anything with super high power ability.

Im looking to buy some more VG base cause I DIY...
Im having trouble finding large bottles like I at least want 1 liter but the vapeshops here only sell
10ML bottles(cause of law in EU,amsterdam) and its expansive I would need to buy 100 bottles to get 1 liter and would couldbe like 300 bucks since 10ml is 3euro So F that...

Now my question is I found other shops that does sell 1 liter VG (non vape stores) but all the VGs I find are "food grade" and not USP or whatever all it says is 99,5% and the other I found was 99,7% both are food grade ,are these OK to vape?

I've been vaping for quite a while. Have had everything from 18650 mods to pens. Currently running a Novo 3 with a .8 ohm mesh coil. Bought a few gallons of Nic with tobacco flavoring a long time ago and starting to run out. Getting pretty bored with mindlessly filling up the vape with the tobacco flavor I've been using forever and want to get into some flavors.

Vaping preferences:
1. Desserts - Love desserts (pies, apple pie and brown sugar sounds legit)
2. Drinks - chocolate, mocha, latte, coffee, milkshake, etc.
3. Classics - anything fruity (strawberry and milk, blueberry and milk, etc.)

Have a few questions to help me get back into DIY. Also happy to just jam out and talk to anyone about vaping.

1. Where is everyone getting supplies these days. I used to order Nic from Nic River or Nude Nicotine. It's been a while.. Are these sites still legit, are their better/ cheaper ways to grab a gallon of nic? Nic River is about $150 (reg) -$200 (salt-nic) a gallon.

2. Flavors
a. What are some good starter flavors that can make some one-offs and a ton of recipes?
b. Seems like the major sources like Capella are into wholesale now and $50-$100 isn't going very far. Especially after I factor in Nic, PG, VG and Bottles. Are there better suppliers that everyone is using that I don't know?
c. Any good starter kits out there for flavoring?
d. Finally, is it even worth making my own flavors? To go the flavor route I need unflavored nic, pg, vg, bottles (several sizes), scale, and a bunch of flavors. This might cost cost $150-$300. I always see a bunch on sale for $5-$10 on various websites.. clearance etc.. Should I just buy a bunch of pro made flavors and skip all the supplies, nic, bottles, etc? This is a serious question as I haven't done the math on this.

3. Suppliers = Looks like Amazon sells PG and VG for about 20$ a gallon each. Is this my best bet?

Final note: I have no problem spending around $50-$100 on flavorings, but only if it's worth it. Got a few hundred to spend on nic and supplies as well.

The default dna60 is not programmed correctly by SXK but can be easily fixed in eScribe (EVOLV SOFTWARE).

Always recommend using the international version of the software instead of the US version.
Only difference is a slightly larger download size (couple megabytes) and you get the full featured software.

You will want to right click your desktop icon and run eScribe as admin on windows so your device is detected when plugged in.

If it's your first time connecting your device to eScribe you might get a pop up or message up top alerting you to the latest available update
go ahead and install the update.

Now in the menu bar go to File->'Save As' and save your default settings as SXK_DNA60_Delro_Default or whatever is easy for you to remember.

You've now covered the basics and have a copy of your default settings that you can always revert to.
Step 1. Go to your menu bar up top and select "Options->User Interface->Manufacturer" this will unlock extra settings for you to adjust in eScribe.

Step 2. Go to the tab "mod" then the new tab "battery" below it. You will find that the SXK delro is set for "Type: Lithium-Ion" and "Cell Soft Cutoff: 2.75V"
you want to change these settings to "Type: Lithium-Polymer and "Cell Soft Cutoff: 3.1V" leave all other settings the same.

Step 3. Press the "UPLOAD SETTINGS TO DEVICE" button and it will send the changes to your device.

Step 4. In the menu bar go to File->'Save As' and save your updated default settings as SXK_DNA60_Delro_Default_With_Battery_Update or whatever is easy for you to remember.
