► THC Tauren MTL RTA V1.5; First Impressions:
Thunderhead Creations seems to continuously release quality products, many of them bear the name Tauren which is often attributable to DL atomizers and mechanical Mods. This time we are talking about a renewed MTL RTA. Unfortunately I have not been lucky enough to try the original version of Tauren MTL and I must say that I have always liked its appearance with protective metal cage because it reminds me of the Nautilus v1 protective cage which was a very coveted accessory to take shelter from breaking the glass. So to get this captivating tank I took advantage of the kindness of @Sourcemore who, as usual, allows me to choose the product to review and without impositions. I love this great shop!



As we've seen, THC Tauren MTL RTA V1.5 arrives beautifully packaged and comes with a host of accessories. The Tauren MTL RTA offers a 360 ° air flow, finely adjustable through different airpins to be placed under the coils. The single coil deck is "suspended" in Siren style and being raised is easy to regenerate. The build quality of this tank looks really good with a remarkable structural strength! Tauren MTL RTA V1.5 holds up to 2ml of e-liquid, I would have expected at least 3ml, however the top filling is super fast.



As you can see in the image below but also in the two previous images; i got the SS version of THC Tauren MTL RTA V1.5. Although the tank contains only 2ml of e-liquid, it does not have a very small size but not too large. V1.5 (Ø24mm) can be nicely housed on most of the SBS Mods on the market and in case you have a SBS Mod with a lowered 510 cup the long Driptip could really come in handy. The metal heatsink on which the long Driptip is screwed is really eye-catching and creates a remarkable aesthetic effect by harmoniously completing the lines of V1.5. Personally I use the long Driptip with any Mod.



All you have to do is choose your favorite Driptip, when choosing keep in mind that the long one offers a more contrasty throw and excellent heat dissipation. The top cap has a central groove with knurling both above and below to facilitate grip. Countless hexagonal windows make up a nice graphic pattern and allow you to visualize the internal e-liquid level well. The graphic aspect is completed by the metal engraving of the bull's head together with the wording "MTL". On the bottom we have the airflow control ring with the same design as the top cap, i.e. a central groove and a marked knurling above and below.



THC Tauren MTL RTA V1.5 essentially consists of three main elements;
1-Top-cap
2-Central body with armor
3-Rebuildable Deck.
The threads are very precise and smooth. After quickly unscrewing the top cap you will find yourself faced with 2 macroscopic refueling slots that do not place limits on the size of the tips of any e-liquid dispenser you want to use. Inside the central body there is the vaporization chamber which is 15mm wide and 10.5mm deep, the upper design of the chamber has a slightly marked truncated cone profile. The regenerable Deck as I anticipated is of the suspended type in GTA style, interesting to note how the "fake" turret allows you to replace the airpin in an ultra-fast way without touching the coil.



I really enjoyed breaking down THC Tauren MTL RTA V1.5 into a myriad of bits and pieces, with the only exception of the glass, in fact to extract the glass from the cage you need to point the flat screwdriver between a hexagon of the cage and the top of the glass , I don't like all this and it turns out to be an unnatural operation that puts the glass itself at risk with the possibility of chipping it. For the rest, reassembling the V1.5 was easy and intuitive, the build quality, the workmanship, the threading and the tolerances are exact, it is a solid and well made RTA !. When you want to clean this tank, just unscrew the lower pin and unscrew a few screws. Cleaning the tank is important and in this case you can easily reach any corner with the brush.



► THC Tauren MTL RTA V1.5; Curved Air Intake:
The ring is 360 ° rotatable and there are 6 holes within a single rectangular window, this also represents the maximum opening for airflow when selected. You can then select 6-4-2 holes, but if you keep turning the ring the holes disappear and the "puff" becomes more and more narrow until it becomes almost completely closed! It is interesting to note how the air flow is directed towards the coil through a curved ducting of each of the 6 holes.



► THC Tauren MTL RTA V1.5; Airflow pins:
This excellent airflow adjustment system could really be enough to make the V1.5 intake contrast a true and perfect MTL vape! But ThunderHead Creations didn't stop there and provides you with 5 different Airpins to insert under the coil (0.8 / 1.0 / 1.2 / 1.8 / 2.0mm) for your personalized finishing touch.
Also if you wish you can separately purchase two optional airpins with honeycomb air diffusion structure.



► THC Tauren MTL RTA V1.5; Coil Build:
The Tauren MTL RTA V1.5 Kit includes 2 Fused Clapton Coils MTL Ni80 Ø2.5mm of 0.6Ω for a recommended power of 20W. To install the coil you just need the Allen key included in the kit or the screwdriver if you want to use the spare slotted screws.



The image below gives a good idea of the various steps required to regenerate the deck:



The two side-by-side uprights have Allen screws as standard which, once unscrewed, allow you to quickly insert the legs of your coil into the appropriate holes, what is interesting is that you can extract the upright that houses the airpin to have more room for maneuver. . After straightening the coil you can effectively cut the excess legs. Then you can screw the Deck onto the mod and activate the resistance to see if the heating of the coil is uniform.



In the next step just cut the cotton enough to feed the breathable doors, for the insertion of the cotton in the doors I recommend cutting the ends of the cotton at an angle. Of course, since this is a suspended deck, you can choose whether to leave the ends of the cotton long or short. Personally, I only put the ends of the cotton in the doors, keeping them rather short and slightly dangling. In this way the supply is rich and constant with any level of e-liquid present inside the tank.



► THC Tauren MTL RTA V1.5; Vaping test & final conclusions:
I was genuinely impressed by how effective the adjustment of the airflow through the ring of V1.5 is; it ranges from contrasted RDL to full spectrum for MTL! I don't understand why no one else thought about it before! In fact it was enough to realize this simple system which is equipped with a channel with decreasing depth present inside the ring! Then by rotating the ring as you move away from the air inlet holes, the channel flattens, and the flow narrows in an optimally calibrated way with the power generated by the coil you will install !!!

With a perfect AFC system like this I expected excellent flavor performance and it did, but I had no doubts. So I installed the 1.5mm airpin because it felt excellently combined with the stock sub-ohm resistor and the type of Hit's aggressive and loaded MTL Vape I wanted to achieve. Even with all 6 holes open the shot is not too "wide" so I can use all the power for this resistance (about 18 / 20W) without incurring supercharging even by restricting the air flow (in a reasonable way).

It took me very little to understand that this tank offers a really excellent MTL performance and based on the coil I choose. Precise airflow regulation really means a lot in terms of MTL performance and is "almost" all it takes to me. Attractive appearance, good build quality, thermal insulation, fantastic adjustment of the AFC system, silent suction and simplicity of coil regeneration. All these qualities make THC Tauren MTL RTA V1.5 a tank suitable for everyone, even the beginner will find it easy to make it work properly and get great flavor performance without leakage problems.

I have been vaping for over 12 years ive been making my own for a long time and never had problems. I use food grade usp kosher vg i think it's usually 99.9 or a point or two less, I .ight have bought the 99.7 I really don't remember I bought it from liquid barn last time. I have had a few Egoist aromas, which I thought were good overall. The flavors are not very strong, but we received logfill products designed for all-day use. It is definitely recommended to rest for several weeks so that the flavors come together properly. This is also the case with Elixir, it is not intrusive, not too sweet, and in return we get a liquid that can be vaped all day. The appearance, the smell of the aroma and the taste all point to quality products. In the description, they promise strawberry and vanilla pudding, which I can only confirm. In its aroma, you can smell the strawberry, but in the taste you can already find the delicious vanilla pudding. The strawberries are gently wrapped around the slightly sweet vanilla pudding. **SugarDaddy (Regular) (Rick's) 1% (09-17-22)** -- Alright, alright, alright, FINALLY down to the testing. Having seen Rick's sweeteners used over the years and never having tried any of them, I finally get to see what's what. Starting out with Rick's SugarDaddy regular sweetener. I finger tested ALL of these sweeteners, which is something I never do, but, my thoughts were, if a flavor/sweetener tasted bad on the finger, it probably wouldn't taste any better when vaping. This one, tasted SUPERIOR to about EVERY sweetener I currently use, off the finger. WOW, that's saying something. Sweet (duh), but it actually DID taste like a real sugar cube. ZERO aftertaste, chemical notes, or anything off-putting. Just clean, sweet goodness. Moving onto the vape test, it stayed EXACTLY the same.

Now, only for YOU GUYS, do I vape JUST sweeteners, just remember that LOL. At 1% in a 70v/30p mix @ 65 watts, the "sugar cube"-ed-ness continued, with just as clean of a taste as it had when finger testing. There was a slight cotton candy aspect to it, but only slight. When testing the sweetener in live mixes, I DID notice something INTERESTING, and I think Rick might have eluded to this when he shipped these out. The sweetener needs some time to STEEP !!!!! Yes, something I have NEVER done before with ANY sweetener. It actually UP-steeped, just like many of my Medicine Flower flavors. QUITE interesting. This is VERY important, because if you were trying to nudge up some sweetness in a mix, added a few drops, tasted it, and it didn't taste sweet enough, and you added more, it could probably become TOO sweet after steeping, so keep that in mind.

I was actually quite impressed that I got NO off-notes, or even a hint during vaping or finger testing. I did not experience any muting in my bakery/fruit mixes at or below 1% which may be high for usage, but for my SFT, it was a perfect testing point. After checking my coils, it CLEARLY showed far less gunking than my usual sweeteners. Strength wise, I would put it dead smack in between TPA Sweetener and CAP Super Sweet. Maybe I'll hate the other ones, but this one, I couldn't find anything to fault. This one stomps out of the gate, as a clean, almost sugar cube-like sweetener that does exactly what it should, with no artificial or chemical aftertastes. I tried hard to find something to nit pick on this one, but could not. Just simply, a **10/10**.

**SugarMama (Regular) (Rick’s) 1% (09-18-22)** -- Moving onto Rick's SugarMama. This one was still VG based, and had the exact same ingredient list as SugarDaddy minus the Sucralose. How much of a different would it make ?? The SugarMama tasted good off the finger, with a very close likeness to the SugarDaddy, but with a little less impact and "sugar lips" effect. It still had the same clean, almost sugar cube like taste with no artificial, or off-putting notes. It did have the same slight cotton candy nuance that SugarDaddy had. At 1% it felt a little less sweet than SD, but only slightly, which made sense sans the Suc. If you don't like PG, and Suc, this sweetener should be on your rack, as it worked great with no detectable muting when used as high as 1%. It worked well in both my test mixes, and should be steeped as mentioned above in the SD review, as it will almost upsteep. So let it steep before adjusting in any mixes. Obviously YOUR tastes in sweeteners will dictate whether or not you like, or want Suc included or not. As was the case with SD, the SugarMama did seem to be far less gunky on the coils than my typical sweeteners. All in, SugarMama was just as clean, and aftertaste free as SugarDaddy, and it did so without any Suc. Placing it just below SD, to slightly less impact and sugar lips effect only. Felt great @ **9.25/10**.

**SugarDaddy (Vanilla 2x) (Rick's) 1% (09-18-22)** -- Yes, you read this right, DOUBLE STRENGTH SugarDaddy with Vanilla. As you would expect, this was just like the regular version of SugarDaddy, but stronger, AND, with just a slight touch of Vanilla. Even doubled, I still got NO after-taste or off-notes, pretty impressive. Now, as far as my perceived strength compared to the Regular, it didn't appear to be linear, meaning it didn't appear to be twice as strong. After steeping it felt more like 1.5 times as strong, which would put it at, or just above CAP's Super Sweet for comparison. The taste was just as clean, and sugar-cube like as the Regular version. The Vanilla was very light, but still present, and hard to nail down, as the cotton candy notes present in the SugarDaddy worked to conceal it's exact style. Not spicy, but maybe similar to FA's Madagascar would be in the ballpark. It was just light enough to avoid complete analysis, but strong enough to be present. I would better call it SugarDaddy enhanced by Vanilla. As I've stated before, steeping is important for SugarDaddy sweeteners to allow them to fully bloom. Starting light, and increasing after a steep if needed is the way to go. At 1% this was fully sweet, but surprisingly it wasn't sickeningly sweet, or over flavored. It showed no signs of hitting the ceiling, or folding over on itself as flavors (and sweeteners) sometimes do when used to heavily. Because this was double strength, solo'ing it @ 1% was fairly high, but the addition of the vanilla enhancement(s) kept it interesting, even as a solo. At this fairly high rate, I did experience slight muting in my fruit recipe, but only slight, and the bakery recipe, showed no issues. Your usage, and rates, will depend on how sweet you need, I will admit to rather enjoying this solo'd, and that caught me by surprise. With no off-notes, no artificial-ness present, and only minor muting at high levels, this one (again) was hard to fault. Simply a stronger version of SugarDaddy, kissed by a light vanilla accent. Too hard to knock this one down, and easily **9.9/10**.

**SugarDaddy (Regular 2x) (Rick’s) 1% (9-20-22)** -- After a SMIDGE of delay, got to wrap my hands around this one, the last in this series of sweeteners from Rick's at SugarDaddy. As you may have guessed, but much changed from the original (regular strength) SugarDaddy and this one BUT for the doubling of the strength. As mentioned previously, I purposely wanted to test these all at the same strength, so I could better gauge the relative differences. This one continued the EXACT same super clean, sugar cube sweetness as the original, albeit stronger. I did feel that this didn't present as double strength comparatively, but more like 1.5x stronger, at least that was my perception. This again, placed it just at or a bit stronger than CAP's Super Sweet. Tasting this in the bottle was stronger, but still just as clean, and sugary sweet as it was vaping. At 1%, although fairly sweet, I detected no ceiling smashing, or flavor folding that you can get when over flavoring, and only minor muting in one of the two mixes I tested it in. All in, it seems that Rick really put some time into these, and the claims of "Less Gunking" and "Very little or NO Suc" were accurate claims. Clean, sugary, and sugar cube like sweetness just like the original. Finishing out this series with yet another **10/10**.

The box that this RDA comes in is pretty darn big for just an RDA. The front of the box is a foggy plastic covering that folds open and closed from the side. It has the Across logo on the top of the plastic and Samdwich written in bold across the middle of the plastic front. Flipping the box to show its right side, there's “Designed by across" with the across logo of course, and “Manufactured by Dovpo" and the Dovpo “D" logo is right beside the D in Dovpo. The let side of the box has all of Across Vape's social media. The bottom of the box houses the “Scratch and Check" sticker, which has a QR code and serial number on it as well. At the top of the back is the Across logo, and under that is Dovpo's technical name and headquarters address. At the bottom it says “Made in China".





Opening up the box, you can see the RDA on the left and a box of accessories on the right. Inside the box of accessories is a baggy which contains a bunch of spare orings, 2 different types of coils, a squonk pin and a couple sets of spare screws. There's also a piece of paper loose in the box, that’s the manual. It has all the specifications, up close pictures showing different parts of the RDA, an explanation of what all is in the accessory bag and on the back is a breakdown of the RDA itself, detailing every part of it. Also, the RDA is silver in my case lol and as I previously mentioned, its housed to the left of the accessory box.








I took this beauty out of it's box and started to take it apart. I have to dismantle it so that I can clean it. It is VERY important to clean everything with soap and water. There's always a possibility of, and usually is some left over machine oil and metal fragment from when the RDA was machined. You don’t want to breathe in machine oil and metal fragments, do ya? It's also the perfect excuse to take a look at how the thing works. It has a pretty standard and simple single coil build deck, the real innovation is in it's airflow. Its top cap is essentially a wheel that houses 4 different airflow designs: a 1.8x3.6mm ellipse, a 1.25mmx4 “clover", a 1.6mmx2 dual hole MTL and lastly a single 1.8mm hole to give a tight MTL draw. There are notches built into the top cap which allow you to turn and change the airflow. The airflow runs between those notches. The drip tip is a little small, but is changeable with other 510 drip tips.



I like a Direct Lung vape, so I decided to use the clapton coil which was provided. Because of the layout of the deck, I had to add a half wound to the coil to set it right. Once placed, I was able to trim the legs VERY easily and start to find the final position for the coil. Once I finished with that, I began to dry fire the coil and strum out any hot spots and shorts that inevitably appear with clapton coils. Once I'm satisfied that the coil is all fired proper, I let it cool down and grab some of my BP Mods Pro Vape cotton and roll an end to a point and spool it through the middle of the coil. I try to get it tight enough that I can feel it grip and resist against me in spurts like machine gun fire, but not too tight that it will warp the shape of the coil trying to spool it through. I trim the ends of the cotton, fan it out a bit but don’t remove any actual cotton. I'm just moving it around so that it fills the wells proper and I make sure that as much of the cottons strands are straight, otherwise there'll be wicking problems. Once satisfied, I slather some liquid on the cotton and across the coil making sure its nice and saturated, press the fire button and make a cloud of vapour, then place the cap on and make sure the airflow is set straight and take a toot. WOOSH! The clouds this thing makes with one coil is crazy! And the flavour is pretty on point too. I eventually decide to change out the coil to a N80 3mm ID Alien and the flavour went up immediately. I didn’t try the single wire coil that was provided as I had other coils available that I preferred.



I used the RDA for about 2.5 weeks straight (with the occasional other device as well) on my Lost Vape Centaurus Quest 100W BF Mod and it worked perfectly with it. The RDA is a bit small for the 510 plate on the Lost Vape mod, but only by 1-1.5mm. Besides that, it’s a match made in heaven. I would have tried it with the Dovpo Across Pump Squonker, but I don’t have one  Maybe I'll get a chance later on.
Anyway, the only issue I encountered while using the RDA was that it would get really hot really quickly. The fact that I used 3mm ID coils probably didn't help . I would definitely recommend using 2.5mm coils if that heat is an issue for you. Also, you can change out the drip tip for a longer one too, that would help as I fond my lips touch the top cap of the RDA quite a bit when I'm using it.
I would recommend this RDA to anyone looking for a small single coil squonk RDA. It can be used as a dripper, but I feel that it shines as a squonk RDA, or RSA I guess. The RDA is made with amazing materials and is immaculate.

The 60ml black bottle with the Monkey King graphic is quite cool and looks great. According to the manufacturer, it is an exotic mix of mango, guava, dragon fruit and pineapple. The mixing was done with 70VG-30PG, which I aged for a month. They write about a week for resting, but since I already had experience with this manufacturer's products, I think it needs a month. Its fragrance resembles a delicate, strong tropical mix. The taste after a week of bathing: I felt a little metallic utoiz in it, which disappeared after a month. The fruit flavors are very harmonious with each other, you can't really feel the individual fruits separately. I think this benefits the delicious finished product. I think that those who want a good tropical mix will not miss this aroma. In the field of coking, it also holds its own perfectly in an atomizer boiler.

According to the manufacturer, it contains strawberry, lemon and coconut. The 60ml bottle itself is very nicely and colorfully designed. The bottle is a bit girly, it would "look good in my wife's bag". The oblong cap is cool, quality at first sight. I poured it with 70VG-30PG to the top of the label, followed by a week of aging. The smell is mostly strawberry. You can't smell lemon or coconut. As you inhale, you first feel a sweet taste, then strawberry and lemon come at the same time. In terms of taste, strawberry is probably at the top of the list, followed by lemon, which is both sour and sweet, as if it were sugared. The coconut somehow got lost in the steam for me, which I'm a little sorry for. Overall, the flavor is moderately strong, but sweet enough to overpower the coconut. Drinking coke is borderline for me, just keep it in the woman's bag

120ml bottle, 20ml of aroma in it, as it arrived. The design is very attractive, it is clearly visible on the packaging that we will get a dessert taste. According to the description, a fresh lemon, cream and sweet Italian pannetone. This sounds really good to me, although I was a little afraid that it would be very sweet. In retrospect, it turned out not so much. As always, the base I used was 70Vg-30Pg, with two weeks of maturation. It smells like a lemon cream cookie, I would like to taste it as much as it is described. Steam as if I were in the confectionery factory. The taste is exactly the same as the smell, lemony, creamy and very cookie-like. Overall, I don't think anyone who likes dessert flavors would go with this aroma. In terms of coking, it lasted for a week for me, which I think is completely acceptable with a builder's boiler.

The aroma came in a 10ml glass vial, on which the inscription "Gothic" indicates that it is indeed a member of a series. The graphics are refined and simple, nothing fancy. I mixed 100ml with a 10% mixer, 70VG-30PG. I left it for a week on Èrlelès tér, but I think that even after two days it gives off the flavors nicely. According to the manufacturer, we get a lemon and vanilla flavor. Its smell justified the name "love" even when mixed. It has a lemony, vanilla, cottage cheese rudis smell, which is very pleasant. On the inside, you get the sweet vanilla first, then on the way out, the lemon and curd rudi come. Maybe the vanilla dominates a little more, but the flavors are very harmonious. (By cottage cheese, I mean the cream inside). I have not experienced any coking at all, I strongly recommend it for atomizer boilers as well.

Finally a Hungarian brand from the aroma market! It's true that it's already manufactured in England, but that still makes it feel like ours . As the name implies, we will get a lemonade-flavored liquid, in premium quality. The 60ml bottle itself boasts a very nice graphic, which gives me the impression of quality. The scent is like lemonade, which makes you want to gasp immediately. I was really looking forward to the tasting, as the manufacturer offers many delicious aromas. The Ize, Lemonade, chilled. But it's not just that, the strength of the cold sensation and the pleasant acidity of the lemon are perfectly adjusted. It's not a sweet lemonade made by my grandmother, in this case we get a more sour taste. It's as cool as it is lemony. I think this sentence covers reality. After a delicately sweet dessert taste, this essence can be a very good change. If it were a little sweeter, it would still be fine for everyday vaping. With one exception, it's nothing more than selling out terribly fast, I can't say anything bad about it. If you like sour lemonade, definitely give it a try.

Cannoli can be said to be one of the best Italian sweets. Crispy pasta roll with a creamy ricotta filling. Overall, I really liked the manufacturer's products, I've already tested a couple of flavors that tasted really good. I curiously mixed in the aroma, trusting that it would restore the taste of the cake. It has a cakey smell and a slightly cheesy smell. I would divide the flavors into two parts, starting with the dough or the cookie part. The dough roulade in this form is not what we expect, the dough is there but as if it were something else, say a pastry. The second flavor is a cheese cream that strongly dominates the aroma, both in taste and smell. Soft, not so powerful, but still as if it were on top of the taste of the dough. If I didn't know the name of the aroma, I would have immediately guessed it: cheesecake. It could be a little sweeter, testier and creamier, but obviously this is subjective on the part of everyone else. Regardless, I still think that it has well-executed delicious flavors, but I personally did not get what I expected.

Dinner Lady offers a sweet berry fruit mix with a little lemon in this longfill. The appearance has been given the usual quality, the bottle's graphics, the cap, which has even been engraved, for a more pleasant grip. These are all signs of quality and competence. Its fragrance has everything to make a really favorite flavor come out of it. On the inside we get a mixed fruit flavor consisting of raspberry, blueberry and grapefruit ingredients, and on the outside it brings a slightly citrusy taste. For my part, there is a slight similarity with the flavor of another big manufacturer, Pinkman. Obviously, they are not made of the same ingredients, but they are still related to each other. The grapefruit seems to be stronger than the other flavors, but not so much that it overpowers them. It's not bitter, you can just feel the flesh of the fruit. Lemon has a sweet taste that dances hand in hand with raspberry and blueberry . We can meet a really well put together flavor, which with its seductive look and smell, can also be a favorite of the ladies. The price may seem steep, but sometimes lovers of these fruits need a little indulgence in their day.

I brought a flavor from one of Cloud vapor's series, which was decorated with a good-looking monster graphic. According to the manufacturer, Lemon pie, soft, flavored with sour lemon cream. Base material 70VG-30PG and 15% mixing. It hid in the back of the cupboard for a week, which I think was enough for the flavors to come together. It smells like lemon cookies, which brought what was described. On the palate, the lemon, which is not so sour, and the pie dominate, in perfect harmony. Children, this is how it should be done, no side effects, you get what you bought. The Lemon pie, which is pleasantly creamy, comes through perfectly. There is nothing in it but what is written. I think this can be a good choice for dessert taste lovers, both in terms of price and quality.
