***Review***

I got this about a month ago and ran it for about a week, it's cool but the only real standout feature is the dope looking lights on it, that are also found on the Spark 220 and Spark 100, and the fact the screen only shows the puff duration and power level. Otherwise it's your typical run of the mill Argus pod kit. Is that a bad thing? For very tight RDL vapers as well as MTL vapers? No not at all. Would i recommend this device for a looser RDL or even DTL vaper? No as it's cloud is dense but very small, almost non-existent. That said the flavor is pretty damn good and the pod (at least in my experience) didn't leak a single drop. I really wish that VOOPOO would release a new GT mod with the MAAT Tank 2 (or 3). Because I'm more of a DTL vaper and need something rugged, which this is definitely not. Will it survive a few falls? Sure? Will it survive what an Aegis can? Definitely not. That said it's just another 30W pod device with a few cool add ons which, while that gives it bonus points, it still is a new iteration in an overly saturated category of vaping. I like it but it won't be in heavy rotation like other kits. It's sleek, small, and is a perfect form factor in terms of performance for MTL or tight RDL. And while it's gorgeous to look at, it's,again MTL. Now the battery performance is phenomenal as well. Granted it's not a battery drainer like DTL kits are, but it still lasted almost the whole week on a single charge which is stunning even by my standards.

***Verdict***

If you like MTL and want something with the lights from the Spark 100 and Spark 220, then look no further. Despite it's segment and wattage range, I give this a solid 7.9/10.

After several pods equipped with a power bank, Joyetech returns to propose a new entry in the eGo series in the form of a pen with enough autonomy. The eGo Nano was sent to me free of charge by Joyetech, without me having a working relationship or receiving money from them. The main focus of manufacturers seems to be entirely on pen-style devices that resemble disposables, both to offer a much cheaper and valid alternative and because in many countries they are now banned.
Faced with this, Joyetech couldn't hold back, given their experience with the eGo series, which has eleven other variants with a similar form factor.



As with the eRoll Nano, the packaging is minimal to keep costs down and make them in line with a disposable. The Ego Nano, in addition to the cardboard box, is hygienically protected by a transparent, non-resealable plastic bag. USB Type-C cables are not included (specific ones are not required for charging, but good quality ones are recommended) but a warranty and user manual are present.



The dimensions are 17.5 x 113 mm, with an 800 mAh rechargeable battery with a USB Type-C port, weighing 34 grams, and a 2 ml pod. The material is not specified, but I imagine it's plastic coated with a rubber-like layer that was so popular in the '90s and mid-2000s. It's small and light considering the 800 mAh, with the option to hold it in your mouth for those who like it.



For this new Ego Nano, Joyetech has introduced the new Ego Nano Pods (left) with the option of also using the existing eRoll Nano Pods (right). The aesthetics are very similar, with the gray PCTG having a glossy finish to keep an eye on the liquid level. The main difference is in the drip tip area, with the Ego Nano Pod on the left having a straight geometry, while the eRoll Pod on the right is a bit more geared towards MTL vaping with a curved shape and a longer drip tip. Despite the name, they remain cartridges, so once the external coil is used up, the entire plastic part must be thrown away. The capacity is only 2 ml, so there are no larger non-TPD variants.



The side cap for refilling can be done with the spout of chubby bottles. The coil resistance is 0.8 ohm (included in the package) and 1.0 ohm, identical to the eRoll Nano Pods, as is the internal mesh-shaped section. A difference between the two pens is that the eGo Nano battery body delivers a maximum of 15 watts, compared to 14.5 for the eRoll Nano.
The vapor and flavor are identical, except for the drip tip difference to the eRoll Nano Pods: sweet, abundant vapor far from burnt smoke thanks to the mesh structure. The throat hit sensation is absent.



Because of this, and also due to the temperatures, I used a final liquid of 55 VG - 45 PG without any feeding problems. Since they are cartridges, condensation should not be an issue, also thanks to the pod that protrudes enough from the battery body and shouldn't form even if you're a chain vaper. The refill cap also remains exposed, so it's not necessary to remove the pod to access it.
The connection is the usual magnetic one, with a pin for reading and a hole for auto-draw.



Given the absence of a screen and power bank, the only way to check the battery status of the 800 mAh battery during use or charging is to observe the 3 small LEDs installed on the front side of the eGo Nano:

100% - 70% = 3 LEDs on
70% - 30% = 2 LEDs on
less than 30% = 1 LED on

If the eGo Nano Pod is not being read during the puff, all 3 LEDs will light up together. The air system is fixed, so it's not possible to adjust the draw.



The USB Type-C port is installed on the bottom cap to charge the 800 mAh battery. The eGo Nano supports 1A charging, so with a suitable USB cable it should take less than sixty minutes. I also specify that the power bank of the eRoll Nano or other Joyetech outputs are obviously not compatible with the eRoll eGo due to the absence of the pins.



A final overview of the 4 pens born in the last year from Joyetech, with the eGo Nano being the second smallest and in terms of battery, it wins over all of them with its 800 mAh. Joyetech's idea was a pen that doesn't need a power bank and lasts beyond two or three hours, getting closer to half a day that the other pens can't cover without their power bank or a USB Type-C cable on hand.



eGo Nano, a product for the beach or to give to someone who uses disposables and is already used to vaping, to lead them on the right path. Compared to disposables, the pro is being able to use nicotine freebase, a choice of strength, and flavors with known origins and, in the long run, saving hundreds of euros compared to disposables. It won't make you quit smoking combustible cigarettes since the difference with real smoke is substantial, but it certainly doesn't disappoint as an emergency backup or to cover an outing of a few hours, thanks to its discreet and portable nature even with summer outfits.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS


The Coolfire P60 lays in a slide out inner box from a outer case box that makes a nice initial impression, the 2nd pod , charge cord and paper info all lay underneath. Picking the device up I expected it to be heavier than it is which is a nice surprise, it has some weight and feels solid but it's not heavy. I started charging the device and found it was almost fully charged, bringing it to full capacity didn't take but a couple minutes.

I am looking for Freemax Maxus Metal kits in 100 and 200 watt . I would prefer the metal edition.

I stayed away from vaping for three years after eight wonderful years in which I really tried everything and more.
I have to tell you the truth, as soon as I started vaping again, I felt lost, very lost,
because almost everything had changed in the way vaping was used.
And I'm not referring to the sudden switch to disposable coils, which are now called pods and/or coils,
but rather to the combination of vaping systems and coil regeneration, which has gone out of fashion.
And it's not true that this is the fault of progress or consumerism and that these disposable systems
(not to mention pre-filled ones) are only available today.
My first electronic cigarette in 2012 was a pen with disposable coils from Kangerteck and an eGO battery,
and I immediately switched to the Kayfun V4 as a rebuildable system.
Now I'm vaping again with some drippers like the Kennedy, the Velocity V2, and the Big dripper,
but I'm always thinking about putting back into use an RDTA that really impressed me at the time,
especially in terms of flavor, namely the Origen Genesis V2 MKII rebuilt with mesh.
I've heard people talking about mesh again lately, but these are just rectangular coils that still heat
the cotton, whereas that system had normal coils but instead of cotton,
pieces of 316 steel mesh with more or less tight meshes (250-400) were rolled into sticks.
When I found the Origen, it had been regenerated into a dual coil and still had the two resistors
and two meshes in perfect condition, but only with the two resistors slightly blackened.
I don't understand why this type of system wasn't expanded in research and development,
because it was a method in which, since there was no cotton,
there was nothing that blackened and/or burned or was otherwise damaged
as happens with cotton, keeping the system intact for much longer than a classic cotton rebuild,
as well as having an amazing aroma.
In addition to the Origen, I also found two bags of 250 and 400 mesh (as well as a dozen 10m spools of wire
of all metals, from kanthal to titanium, from nickel to steel and of many diameters).
I would like to know if any of you avid vapers still use a similar system and if,
in the few years I have been away from vaping, there have been any developments regarding this type
of system and its use, and above all if you can give me some advice on how to rebuild it.

Welcome to my site, today I would like to introduce you the Vaporesso Luxe XR Max 2 vape kit.

I was counting the days until the post finally arrived this week with the newest Vaporesso Luxe family member: the Luxe XR Max 2. I prepared to her arrival with special e-liquids - since I am more into desert flavors these days, the selection fell on the brilliant Sense Macaronille 6mg traditional e-liquid. I can tell you that since the device was hitting and overfilling my lungs with the purest vanilla macaron flavor burst for the first time, I barely could resist puffing on it whole day and my other pods have been non-existing since! I realised now why DTL people prefer their high-powered sub-ohm mods over the tiny, underpowered pod devices. The pleasantly warm, dense and enormous clouds that it produces is overwhelming your taste buds and despite the much lower nicotine levels you will feel satisfied, much more satisfied than from nic salts, believe me – it hits hard!




Design and functionality:

I received the device in Flowing Purple and there are a total of 8 colors available (Black, Red, Blue, Silver, Storm Blue, Flowing Purple, Imperial Red Leather and Dark Black Leather). To be fair, I would have never selected the purple one in my own will, but the device’s performance overweighs the appearance and since I fell in love with her, it has grown on me. The purple/green design reminds me of Joker, time for watching Batman Dark Knight again! I already own the Luxe X with XR pods and the XR Max 2 is just slightly bulkier due to the increased battery performance.

There is nothing too fancy about the appearance – maturity, functionality and the enormous power are the main drivers of this powerhouse. She’s not a poddy, don’t even look for auto-draw: there is a classical fire button that evaporates the storm promptly into your lungs and from that moment there is no return!

You can tailor the device to your needs on a colorful 0.96” TFT screen that shows all essential vaping information at a glance: power mode, battery level and percentage, daily puff count and the coil resistance, which is an improvement to the previous XR Max. By pressing the fire button 2 times you enter the menu where you can change between 2 power modes: Pulse and Eco, enable or disable Smart mode and select between 3 themes: Nebula (red/pink), Vital (blue/purple), Wave (blue/light blue). Within the settings you can review and reset your weekly puff counter – it records your last 5 days’ puff statistics, which I find pretty useful. The Pulse mode is something unique: it releases immediate full power even with a small puff, ensuring optimal saturation and extending your coils life. You can adjust the brightness, enable/disable the two side led bars and restore settings to default. This is it pretty much – everything you need and nothing unnecessary. The smart mode sets the best wattage for your coil automatically which you can adjust between the recommended wattage ranges, disabling the smart mode allows you to set the wattage anywhere between 5-80 Watts, in one-watt increments. It doesn’t do round robin. You can enter the wattage menu by pressing the fire button 3 times and adjust your wattage by pressing the touch sensitive arrows on the bottom of the screen. At the right side there is a 2 cm wide airflow slider which allows you to adjust between MTL, RDL and DTL vaping styles. The slider is firm enough to remain in its position and the lock button at the bottom will also prevent any unintentional adjustments or firing while in your pocket. You can turn off/on the device with 5 clicks.



User Interface:



Battery performance:

Big-big wow! The device is packed with a 3200 mAh built in battery and supports 2A fast-charging, it charges in about an hour and shows the remaining charging time while charging. Unbelievable how Vaporesso could squeeze so much power into a baby pod. This is already the performance of 18650 batteries and 80 Watts of power!



Size and weight:

108 * 32.1 * 26.4 mm, 117 grams, made of zinc-alloy. The device fits comfortably in your palm, due to the huge battery it is a bit chubbier than the average pod-mod.

Based on their performance the closest comparable device is the Geekvape Digi Max. While they are both 80W, the Digi Max ‘only’ has a 3000 mAh battery, the Luxe XR Max 2 wins with its 3200 mAh performance. The Digi Max’ dimensions are 112.6 * 34.18 * 25.88 mm for reference, thus the Luxe XR Max 2 is a few millimetres smaller and sleeker. Weightier though: 70 grams compared to 117 grams. Price-wise they are similar. The Digi Max didn’t come out to date with their 0.2 and 0.3-ohm coils while the sub-ohm GTX coils are widely available, so the Luxe XR Max 2 is more ideal for DTL vapers on-the-go.



Pod:

The kit comes with two different types of replaceable pods with preinstalled GTX coils: a wider DTL-pod with the new magnificent 0.2-ohm Dual Mesh coil and a sleeker MTL-pod with a 0.8-ohm Meshed coil. The Vaporesso Luxe XR pods have a modest 5 ml e-liquid capacity and are compatible with the whole GTX coil family and Luxe pod-mod line. the Luxe XR Max 2 will therefore also take the disposable Luxe X pods with non-replaceable coils. These pods are all bottom filling, it has a wide filling hole, covered by a rubber plug. Best wattage for the 0.2-ohm is 55W and for the 0.8-ohm it is 16W. To me the 0.2-ohm was ideal at 46W with airflow half closed for a not too warm RDL experience.



Final verdict:

The Luxe XR Max 2 is a high-end professional device manufactured to Vaporesso’s highest standards. It is powered by their famous Axon chip and uses the well-established and widely available GTX coils. The device produces pure, tasty and dense clouds like a factory chimney. The mega battery and huge e-liquid capacity provides you full days of worry-free enjoyment even while chain-vaping. All packed in a pocket friendly pod-mod looking device.

I also like touch buttons; it is a big pro. I find that the semi-see-through front cover, the RGB bars and the TFT screen are somehow not in harmony though. You barely just see the side of the mainboard; the Axon chip logo only lights up when charging and the RGB lights are inside, barely visible. Previous designs of the Luxe X family I’ve found more impressive. But this is just appearance and maybe because of the purple color - performance wise this device is unbeatable!

Many years ago, I finally bought my first box with DNA 200, namely the Hotcig DR200.
Unfortunately, it didn't last very long, about 6 months, and its battery failed.
Tomorrow I'll look online, in the meantime I'll use my Kangerteck 120.
The day after tomorrow I'll see... the beautiful DR200 was abandoned.
I'd like to get it working again, but unfortunately its original battery,
the 900mA FullyMax, is no longer available.
I saw one on eBay with the 6-pin MPX connector,
but unfortunately it is not shipped to Italy.
So I am forced to buy a battery of the right size,
but unfortunately they ALL have a 2+4 pin double connector,
so I have to carefully (since the batteries for sale are charged)
cut and solder the 6 wires one by one to the 6-pin MPX connector.

Inside the DR200 box, there is a black plastic cover that I did not want to force off.
I wanted to ask any of you who have purchased a DR200 in the past
if, behind that black plastic cover, the cables coming from the MPX connector
are soldered directly onto the DNA200 board or if a 4-pin JST-XH connector
is soldered onto the board for balancing the lipo battery charge.
Similarly, I would also like to know if the two main red and black power cables
that also come from the 6-pin MPX connector are soldered directly onto the DNA200 board
or if they also connect to a 2-pin JST-type connector.
To tell the truth, I am waiting for the arrival of a lipo battery purchased on Aliexpress
that mounts 3 lipo 501865, while the original battery
had 3 lipo 622566 inside.
If there are connectors inside the DR200, even just the 4-pin JST-XH
connector, I might decide to remove the MPX connector and save myself
some headaches when soldering with a charged battery.
