I thought id ask because i have so much of these regular cotton balls i mainly use it to clean my mechs and 510threads and such but i still got so much left,
I tried vaping it as is but the taste was nasty like chemicals, would boiling remove this nasty taste and make vapable? Anyone kno?

Hi All! Long time Lurker, first time poster! I've had my account here since about 2011 for reference, lol! So, I should know better than to order from a random site but with all of the shipping issues these days I took a chance. I wanted to grab a pair of Pulse V2's and Vapesourcing had them in stock and its stated that within the US they still use USPS which is great, I don't trust xdelivery, etc. With that being said, I made sure they were in-stock in the US warehouse and went ahead and placed my order. Does anyone know how it long it takes for them to actually process the order and get it moving? I tried to find some more recent threads but everything seems to be about 5 years old and also dealing with items shipping from their china warehouse. I placed my order on 07/07/23 just for timeframe reference.

► LVE Orion II 2 Kit; First Impressions:
I expected this new Orion II Kit to be marked Lost Vape, deepening my research I discovered that the acronym "LVE" is actually a new branch of Lost Vape Electronics. Orion II looks just like an improved upgrade of the original Orion, it keeps the classic Orion design with fine workmanship, the zinc alloy frame is available in 3 different colors, also with the use of the supplied suction cup there is the possibility to replace the panels, with others coming in five different color and material options, there's plenty to suit your every taste.





The Mod is powered by a 1500mAh Li-po battery with a maximum output of 40W. I was surprised by how heavy and solid this little device is, almost 130 grams of weight is a lot, however the handling is excellent, and the feeling of quality that this kit gives me is high. The endowment of this kit also includes a second coil and a second spare cartridge; and I really appreciated this detail too.



► LVE Orion II 2 Kit; Airflow:
The air flow control is controlled by a sturdy metal ring located at the base of the cartridge, its "infinite" rotation is facilitated by small vertical notches that favor the grip of the fingers on it. By rotating this ring you can get an open RDL vape, but also a really narrow and effective MTL vape.





► LVE Orion II 2 Kit; Internal battery:
The internal 1,500mAh battery takes about an hour to fully recharge and allows for a remarkable duration especially in MTL vaping, however I managed to get over 300 Puffs with a selected constant wattage of 26W, which is a really good result. The circuit allows to obtain an almost constant power delivery even with a low battery charge level. On the bottom of the LVE Orion there are 6 vent holes to ensure your safety in case of an unfortunate problem with the internal cell.

The LVE Orion chipset uses all the main security features:

On the front side of LVE Orion you will find the cursor key that allows you to quickly extract the cartridge, below it there is the slightly protruding circular Fire key. The 0.69" OLED screen of Orion 2 clearly shows the main vaping data. The "+ and -" wattage adjustment keys are located below the screen, through these keys you can adjust the wattage from 5 to 40W with steps of 0.5W at a time.

The combination of the "+ and -" keys together with the fire key allows the following operations:
• 5 clicks on the fire button to turn on/off the device
• Press the Fire button and the "+" button simultaneously to lock or unlock the power adjustment.
• Press the Fire Button and the "-" Button simultaneously to clear the Puffs count.



In the images below you can appreciate how easy it is to quickly remove or replace the cartridge on the Orion 2 device. After sliding the slider key you can lock or unlock the cartridge. The cartridge slides securely on two rails machined into the raised "shoulder" of the Orion LVE.

This cartridge is one of the highlights of this kit! The Drip-Tip is easily replaceable with any other 510 Drip Tip. The dark PCTG structure of the cartridge does not affect the control of the e-liquid level, moreover it will be easy to introduce up to 4.5ml of e-liquid through the screw cap of the charging system located at the top. The cap is LVE branded and is of fine workmanship with a sturdy metal construction. At the base of the cap there is a silicone oring for a perfect seal. The coil is inserted into the cartridge from below with a slight pressure.



► LVE Orion II 2 Kit; Platform Coils and Vaping Test:
Inside this kit you will find two different coils that are easily distinguishable by the color of the orings.

• Mesh Coil 0.4Ω is recognizable by the red orings, it is developed for RDTL/DTL with a range of power and use between 26 and 32W. The chipset with Smart sensing function recognizes it and activates it by default with an initial power of 26W. This is the most powerful coil available and it's also my favourite; it offers quite a rich flavor with a thick and plentiful vapor. The operation of this coil is smooth even closing the airflow and as you narrow the airflow you also get a good "hit in the throat". However the maximum performance (for me) is with the ring completely open and with a selected power of at least 28W.

• Mesh Coil 0.8Ω is recognizable by the blue orings, it is developed for MTL with a range of power and use between 12W and 16W. The chipset with smart sensing function recognizes it and activates it by default with an initial power of 12W. I also like this Coil because I think it is the ideal choice for most vapers; particularly for those looking for the perfect balance between vapor production and flavour. This resistor is designed to work best with a narrow airflow setting in combination with selected wattages starting at 10W and up to the desired upper level of max 16W. For me 12W is the ideal compromise between flavor and energy consumption. The low energy consumption of the cell allows you to obtain a great vaping autonomy with this coil.

LVE Orion II 2 Kit lives up to its roots and improves something that is difficult to improve, also increasing the possibilities for aesthetic customization by replacing the panels. This kit basically stands out for a larger battery, for a higher level of finishes combined with robust and precious materials. Furthermore, the replaceable coils are at the level of the best productions on the market such as the Vaporesso GTX. The chipset in this evolution implements the Smart function that helps distracted users, this allows you to automatically select the optimal power for each resistance. The cartridge with a good 4.5ml capacity is a masterpiece of practicality, both for the rapid filling from the top and for the quick coupling system to the mod. I posted my initial thoughts on this pod system sometime back (thread is closed for further comments?).

Since Freemax no longer has a vender in my area that sells their gear AND since most companies no longer can ship to Oregon, in efforts to get another 'kit' so I have an extra battery I resorted to 'slow boat from Fasttech' and was able to pick up another one.

I'll try to break this down into the good, questionable and bad points.

First the 'good':
- fairly inexpensive pod system
- small and light weight
- pods hold +3ml of juice
- activated by ether button or drawing on the drip tip
- claimed 3 power levels
- fairly quick charging
- can last a few to handful of hours of light use
- TWO air flow settings: very tight (MTL) and restrictive DL
- POD's are refillable
- POD's AND coils are replaceable

While my first kit mostly sat on a shelf unused I grabbed it today to give it a few 'puffs' to refresh my memory as to why I may not be using it (or its 'sister') in my standard rotation. While the battery still had a charge on it I found that the coil portion kinda failed (still produced vapor) as it had leaked the POD's contents into the mod and out the USBC port on the bottom as well as fell apart when I pulled it out!

Here is where I found that the '0.5 ohm mesh' in reality is a itty-bitty-tiny ~1/8" coil inside a 'tube' of cotton inside a metal cage that is wrapped with cotton with yet another metal cage on the outside of it. I found this as the OUTSIDE cage stayed in the POD when I removed the coil leaving me with 'cotton with metal in it' in one hand and a metal cage/shell still in the POD. I dug out the remaining metal part, rinsed off/out the POD and installed a new coil and refilled the POD.

To Freemax's credit they do recommend NOT STORING THE PODS with the batteries.

I have a fair number of USBC devices that I have charge cables for so I unplugged one of them and plugged the Onnix in.

NOTHING HAPPENED!

In fact NO CABLE other than the one that comes with their KIT will charge the Onnix! (can you say FAIL? I knew you could)

So the USBC cables+chargers that I use to charge EVERYTHING from Laptops to Phones to Game systems to other small electronics won't work.

The Onnix was charged up so why not take a few puffs? As mentioned there are 2 air flow settings and 3 'power' settings. Red, Blue, Green relate to low, medium and high power. However when your puffing (no matter WHAT your setting) you will get a GREEN light. (I tried all THREE settings and oddly, there really was no difference!)

I had filled the POD with 7mg, 90%VG/10%H2O unflavored juice that is usually my 'goto juice' for around the house.

Sure, the Onnix did provide an OK amount of vapor production however it was OVERHEATED by that tiny coil. Possibly due to the short distance between the coil and the end of the drip tip, the vapor was HOT and I had to be careful as to its direction entering my mouth.

Ok sure fine, I've been spoiled by a near decade of vaping on only Temperature regulated mods.

However these points are why the Onnix sits on the shelf mostly collecting dust:
- ONLY IT'S cable can be used to charge it
- even on it's LOWEST POWER setting it overheats the juice

It may (or NOT!) be a viable backup/emergency device, I'll just have to store the pod not attached to the device and/or keep an empty pod with it along with a small bottle of juice and fill it when needed.

Disclaimer: my 'out and about' setups are ether a Target-Mini outfitted with a OBS Cirus or a Eleaf Pico outfitted with a KF V5.
