VooPoo Argus XT Draw Issues

I recently bought the Argus XT and the Drag 4
When I first got them both, everything was all good and behaving like they should, but recently my Argus XT feels like I'm drawing on 20 watts on my 80 watt coil.
Switching the tanks over, the one that was on Argus XT fires like it should on the drag 4, so it's definitely related to the mod.
I've tried different batteries and its always hovering around 2V's even on fully charged batteries (The batteries are fine in other mods). And it does also seem to jump around the voltage between 1.9 and 2V while drawing.

If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated as it's a great mod for out and about use. (The Drag 4 likes to go off in my pocket)

Riot Squad - Punx Erdbeere, Blaubeere&Himbeere

Riot Squad - Punx Strawberry, Blueberry & Raspberry
Producer: England
And here's another "squad" which would be a sweet mix of strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. Not only 'would be' but is. This is the third in the series that I've had the pleasure of trying and all of them have very similar flavours. As in the previous flavours, it is the effervescence that dominates combined with the juicy fruity flavours. Out of curiosity, I started the test without reading the description of what was in it. I could only identify the raspberry, not the other two fruits. The scent is pleasantly fruity, but here again I only smell raspberries. On the inhale, the sweet raspberry and the usual effervescence carry the line. And on the exhale, it's a rather sweet, multisweet fruit drink that pinches the end of your tongue with the effervescence. Of the three fruits, raspberry is the only one that dominates more, but the other two are there too, but they kind of hit each other so you can't really taste them separately. There's also a hint of coolness smuggled in, as if you've taken it out of the fridge. It's not in the description, but it's faint. Overall, it totally delivers as described, very subtle and powerful flavours, with a tiny bit of spiciness to add a little something extra as I described with the rest of the series.

LOST VAPE URSA BABY PRO POD SYSTEM review by hittman

Hello again. It’s been a little while since I’ve done a review for Lost Vape but here I am again with yet another device to attempt to provide you with a fair, honest, and informative review. This time I was sent the Ursa Baby Pro by Lost Vape. The Pro is a top tier level pod system. What seems like quite some time ago I reviewed the original Ursa Baby. The Pro is obviously an upgraded version of the original. For starters, the original had a maximum wattage of 18 while the Pro has a maximum of 25 watts. Also the original had an 800mah battery while the Pro has a 900mah battery. It’s not a huge increase but more battery is always a plus or as some might say “more battery is more better”. The original was made from a clear plastic but the Pro is made of zinc alloy to give it an extra level of toughness while also improving the appearance in my opinion. The Pro also comes with two cartridges. The Pro does have adjustable output of 5-25 watts with a display screen and uses the Quest chipset. It only has one button which performs a couple different features and the Pro can be button fired or used as an auto draw device. One has a built in coil that claims a 50% improvement in lifespan and flavor production while the second is an empty pod where you can change the coils only and one coil is included. The Pro even has a sliding airflow adjustment. What more could you ask for on a pod device? Probably very good flavor would be what I would ask for. If this new pod holds true to the promise made then I have a feeling it will deliver since I remember liking the original Ursa pods and coils that are compatible across the Ursa pod line.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

I received the pearl white and the frost blue versions for this review. The white is nice but have to say the blue was my favorite of the two. It was generous of Lost Vape to send two samples which makes testing easier.

The packaging for the Ursa Baby Pro is nice and clean looking. You can see on the blue version below that the Lost Vape Quest and Ursa Baby Pro names are printed on the front along with a nice color picture of the actual device contained inside. I like when companies do this instead of using the same picture on all color versions. The back side of the box has a brief description of the device along with a contents list, warning, company information, and authenticity code.

1676385303316.png

Once the outer cover is slid off, the owner’s manual and instruction card are on top with the Ursa Baby Pro underneath with the .6 ohm pod pre-installed. There is a safety seal over the bottom of the pod so it can’t be accidentally fired prior to filling. There is a second pod sitting under the Pro but unlike the pre-installed one, this one uses the replaceable UB Mini series of coils. Below the Pro, sitting in the plastic insert, is a box of accessories that includes a .8 ohm UB Mini coil, a USB-C charging cable, and a lanyard if you like to use lanyards. Although it is made of zinc alloy, it is still lightweight enough to carry on a lanyard.

1676385403848.png

The front of all of the color versions look very similar with the color being the only difference. Going from left to right on the front, there is the sliding airflow control that allows the user a range of airflow from MTL to RDL. Below that is the Lost Vape name vertically inside a small inset panel. To the right, on top, is the single button found on this mod. It can be used to fire the output or the output can be used in auto draw mode.

1676385512023.png

KkC18Oe.jpg

The Pro has a .42” OLED display screen that shows the following information.

  • Set wattage
  • Battery level indicator
  • Coil Resistance
  • Puff counter
The single button on the front not only fires the output but also gives the user the ability to do a couple different things. I did struggle initially figuring out how to reset the puff counter since it was not mentioned in the user manual but discovered that when you power the Pro off and back on then it resets the puff counter. The other functions for the button are as follows.

Press the fire button 5X to turn the device on/off

  • Press the fire button 4X to lock the adjustment. This locks the fire button but you can still use it in auto draw

  • Press the fire button 3X to enter the adjustment mode. The wattage will flash on the display. Press or hold down the button to adjust the wattage.

I noticed that with the pre-installed pod that the Pro recognized the .6 ohm coil and defaults to 16 watts. I liked it better at 19 watts myself. With the .8 ohm replaceable coil pod the wattage defaulted to 9 watts which was also too low for my tastes. I preferred it at 12 watts.

1676385621041.png

The back side of the Pro can look quite different between color versions. You can see in the picture below that the back side has the same type of panel that is used on the front of this version while the blue one I received has a really nice graphic on the back side. Both of course have the Ursa Baby Pro name on this side.

1676385669783.png

On one side of the Pro is a single airflow inlet hole while the opposite side has the USB-C charging port which is rated for 5V/2A. I haven’t measured this but have a feeling it’s a little generous as many charging rates are. Above the port is an opening in the frame where you can attach the included lanyard if you so decide.

1676385719541.png

1676385750091.png

From the top you can see the usual two spring loaded contacts as well as the two magnets that align with the magnets in the pod to hold it securely into the pod opening. Near the top is the auto draw airflow sensor. Also to the left of the contacts there are three airflow inlet openings that lead down to the sliding airflow control on the front of the mod.

The pod in the second picture below is the .6 ohm pod with a built in coil that comes pre-installed in the Pro when you receive it. It is initially covered by a safety seal to prevent accidental firing. The kit also comes with a second pod which uses the Ursa Mini series of coils and can be seen in the third picture. The coil that is included in the kit is a .8 ohm coil but .6 ohm coils can be bought separately. Both pods are side filled with a port plug that is probably one of the easiest ones I have tried to remove for filling. The fill port opening is large enough that I had no issues with filling using the bottles that I normally use every day. The pods hold 2.5ml of liquid which is a nice increase from what has become a pretty standard size of 2ml for most pods. I know that the promotional pictures say that these pods are upgraded and 50% better but I think that is when comparing them to the original version of the Ursa pod. The V2 pods and coils have been out for a while now and I have tested them on other devices from Lost Vape.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I feel like Lost Vape has done a great job with the Ursa Baby Pro. It took care of the things that I didn’t care for or thought were missing with the original Ursa Baby. I definitely appreciate the adjustable airflow on the Pro. I feel like if you’re going to put out a “Top Tier” pod system then there are certain things it needs to have and airflow control is definitely on that list of features.

Although the display is only .42” in size, it is readable even with my old eyes. The ability to adjust the output is also high on my list for a device like this. It does a fine job with the single button operation and its operation is much like other single button devices like this.

I found it interesting that they didn’t take the easy way out but instead decided to change the aesthetics of the devices from color to color. So depending on which color you choose then you may get a different design or material used. To me that is Lost Vape putting in the extra effort like we have become accustomed to from them. It would have been much easier for them to make them all the same style and just change up the colors but they didn’t.

During my time testing the Pro, I did not experience any kind of leaking and basically no condensation. I was not surprised by this since as I mentioned before, I have used these same pods on other devices. I have to give kudos to Lost Vape for breaking the mold and including two pods in the kit. Not only do they give you two pods but they give you one of each type of pod so you can decide which you like best. Whether you want a pre-built pod or a pod where you can replace the coils only, this kit allows you to try both.

I started out with the pre-built .6 ohm pod. When I turned on the Pro and inserted the pod then it defaulted to 16 watts. This is a good median starting point for this pod. However, I wanted to use this one for RDL so increased the wattage to 19 watts after an initial break in of the coil. It performed very well with no dry hits. For this one I used Dinner Lady Lemon Tart that I use a lot for testing and the flavor was very good for a pod and produced plenty of vapor for such a small device.

Next up I primed the included .8 UB Mini coil and pushed it into the pod until it was fully seated. I seem to remember from past experience that it is recommended to insert the coil with the slots cut in the bottom pointed to the sides. I may be wrong but was thinking this was the one that it was important to do that on. This time the Pro defaulted to 9 watts. I knew this was going to be too low for me so immediately bumped it up to 12 watts and tested it there while using an Orange Tart DIY recipe. Once again flavor was very good and vapor production was good but obviously a bit less than what was seen with the .6 ohm pod at the higher setting. The auto draw function on the Pro worked flawlessly the entire time I used it and rarely used the button to fire the mod.

To be honest, I usually don’t care for these small square type pods. I usually find them awkward to hold and use. This was not the case with the Pro. I discovered pretty quickly that the pod mouthpiece has to be on the left with the button on the right for it to feel right when taking a puff but since then I have really enjoyed using it. I’d like to thank Lost Vape and Bella for sending the Lost Vape Ursa Baby Pro samples for this review. No, I didn’t forget about you. Thanks to everyone that takes the time to read my reviews. It is much appreciated. Below is a link to the Lost Vape website so you can explore all of the fantastic devices they have to offer.

Decadent - Creme Anglaise

Decadent - Creme Anglaise
Producer: England
A real dessert flavour, a sumptuous, custardy full vanilla flavour sweetened with brown sugar and a hint of caramel. A must try for all pudding fans. I've tried many custard flavours and somehow each one had a negative point in a different direction. Either it was too sweet, or there was too much vanilla, or it tended to have a side flavour. Anyway, vanilla pudding is a tricky flavour in my opinion.
But here you get everything you need in a real pudding. There's not much to say about the smell. The flavour is all the better because you really get what you expect from it. On the inhale, you'll be swept away by the sweet vanilla custard, and on the exhale, you'll get a little bit of caramel to make it leave your mouth even sweeter. It's just so hard to put down, it's so demanding. The proportions are perfect, the vanilla and the custard are just as sweet as if I had the dessert in a little bowl in front of me. I matured it for a month, cherishing it like a little sapling , but it was worth waiting for the final result. If you're in the mood and want a good vanilla pudding to steam alongside your favorite series, don't miss out on this flavor by any means.

Riot Squad - Cherry Fizzle

Riot Squad - Cherry Fizzle
Producer: England
Packaging: 15ml aroma in 60ml Chubby Gorilla bottle
These filler bottles that the manufacturer has come up with for this brand, all in different colours, I think they look very nice and even make them comfortable to hold. Obviously everyone has a different opinion, but that's what I get from them. So, what we get is a cherry soup that hopefully won't be too overcomplicated. It smells like cherry soup, although I have to add that cherry and sour cherry soups always get a bit confused for me, as it's hard to tell the difference between the two. For me, it was totally "mummy's" cherry jam in terms of flavour. On the inhale, the jammy sensation comes out, sweet and cherryy. It has a little fizz to it, which gives it a freshness and makes the jar even more delicious. On the exhale, there's also a slight tartness that mixes with the sweet cherry. Overall, it's more sweet than sour. It's an interesting sensation when it bubbles in your mouth, like a fruity candy. Then I thought of something like Pez candy, although I don't know if it has cherry in it. The jarred flavour is accentuated in both the smell and the taste, which smooths out the steaming all the way through, and the fizz is a bonus feature to keep it from being boring after all day use. I read a lot of good and bad things about the aroma, but it's definitely worth a try if you like sweet flavours.

Need recommendation for tobacco ejuice with no PG

I'm an old fan of Heather's Heavenly Vapes, I bought a ton of Legend Purity just before they closed up shop. Now I'm getting close to running out, and I'm not finding the selection of PG-free tobacco flavors out there that I used to. I appreciate any recommendations! My basic requirements are: tobacco flavor, no PG, no fruit/candy flavoring.

I've tried some "max vg" options that contained a little PG, but I broke out in painful acne just as I do whenever I vape PG,

VooPoo Vinci 3 Pod Starter Kit

1676251261532.png

Hello and welcome back to another Z-Lee review. Today we'll be looking at VooPoo's newest pod release, the Vinci 3. Unlike their release of the more recent Vinci Pod SE Kit, the Vinci 3 is a larger pod device with many more features and a much larger battery built into it. If you are familiar with the Vinci 2, the Vinci 3 has many of the same features, just modified and for the most part, better.

I want to thank @VOOPOO_Official and Freya for sending me this device for review. As always, I will remain fair and unbiased in this critique.

For a more visually-friendly look at the Vinci 3, I'd suggest heading over to VooPoo's official site here.

1676252986556.png

The Vinci 3 comes in 5 available colors as of this review:
• Carbon Fiber Black
• Aurora Blue
• Carbon Fiber Blue
• Aurora Red
• Rose Gold

I believe the Aurora Blue and Carbon Fiber Blue are backwards in this picture, but it came directly from VooPoo's site and so I won't dispute this. It would however make more sense to me if they were reversed. What do you think?

1676253303810.png

Key Features include:
• Mobius Airflow
• 5-50W Adjustable Wattage
• Dual Ignition Modes (I believe this is referring to MTL and RDL vaping)
• Compact
• Affordable

Specs:
• Dimensions (Entire Device): 30.5mm * 21.6mm * 101.3mm

- Pod -
• Capacity: 4mL (Standard & US Edition), 2mL (TPD Edition)
• Material: PCTG
• Recommended E-liquid: Nicotine Concentration < 50mg/mL (5%)
• Standard Coils: PnP-TW30 (0.3Ω, PnP-DW60 (0.6Ω)
• Compatible Coils: All PnP Coils

- Battery -
• Material: Zinc Alloy + Optical Coating Decorative Sheet
• Output Power: 5-50W Adjustable
• Output Voltage: 3.2-4.2V
• Readable Resistance: 0.15Ω to 3.0Ω
• Battery Capacity: Internal 1800mAh Battery

1676255497025.png

As mentioned in the Specs above, all PnP coils share the dimensional requirements to fit into the Vinci 3 pod. However, being that this device only goes up to 50W, I would not recommend any coil that has a resistance below 0.2Ω, and that's even pushing it. I would recommend using PnP coils at 0.3Ω and above for the most consistent vape experience. This is not for safety-sake, but for performance-sake. If you'll notice above in the wide-array of PnP coils, there are a few such as the PnP-VM5, PnP-VM6, PnP-TW15, and PnP-TW20 that have recommended wattage ranges that exceed the maximum power the Vinci 3 is capable of. Being that a mod/battery's operating voltage starts at 4.2V at a full charge, and drains down to 3.2ish volts when dead, this directly affects what power the battery is capable of delivering as it drains. If the Vinci 3 battery can deliver 50W on a full charge, by the time the battery reaches 30% battery life or below, you can be sure that the maximum power delivery will be far below 50W, and this will drop it below the recommended wattage range for the coils mentioned above. Again, this is for performance-sake, and not for anything safety-wise. You are more than welcome to try the lower resistance coils, but expect that they'll result in an unsatisfying, slurpy vape. You may also find a bit of trouble using the PnP-TR1 coil at 1.2Ω. Calculating a full charge to an empty battery, the capable wattage output starts at 14.7W on a full battery, and diminishes to 8.5W near a dead battery using a 1.2Ω coil. Will it be able to vape the 1.2Ω coil? While yes it will, the expected performance will drop quite a bit as the battery dies.

I will say that it's nice that some companies are using the same coil dimensions across a multitude of their product lines so that we're not funneled into using only a single device, especially if we're stocked up specific coils. However, as you can see from above, this can cause quite a bit of confusion as to what coils are legitimately useable in which device. The new VooPoo Uforce-L tank and Drag 4 or Argus XT mods can easily handle any of the PnP coils shown above, but when we get into smaller devices, the correct coils need to be used to reach the expected performance.

Testing Results & Observations

The packaging is vibrant, but quite simple. Everything but e-juice is present which makes this a decently good starter kit. I've noticed that some starter kits have begun shaving down what's included in the kit to the point of not including a spare coil, simply to cut costs. Why I understand the reasoning in doing so, I don't agree with it; especially for those making their first jump from disposables, or better yet, smoking. Why you ask? Well, as a beginner, it's very easy to burn the initial coil - particularly since most devices come with a coil pre-installed. Even as a more seasoned vaper, I've made this mistake before. Pull the pod out, take the protective wrap off of the coil, remove the coil to look at it, put the coil back in and then drop it into the battery mod. Spin the battery mod around to look at all of the features and whoops, I accidentally pressed the fire button. You've essentially ruined the coil. Without a backup coil, you've now rendered the kit useless until you're able to acquire more coils. Luckily, the Vinci 3 kit comes with a spare coil and a very different one at that. I'll get more into that below.

It should be noted that I received a sample product, so that you are aware that your experience may differ from my own.

The look and feel of the Vinci 3 puts this device near the top when compared against other past VooPoo pod devices. I very much prefer the form-factor of the rectangular shape versus the square shape of the Vinci 2 - it feels much nicer in the pocket, as well. The clear coat that covers both the front and back of the device makes the decorative sticker underneath really stand out as you can see above. The black portions around the sides are made of polished zinc alloy and adds a bit of weight, but in a good way. I'd much prefer a mod be made out of zinc alloy over aluminum simply for the durability.

Most of what you see above is self-explanatory. The Vinci 3 has auto-draw as well as a button. You are able to turn the button firing off if auto-draw is what you want to use exclusively. It also makes pocketing the device safer in that it won't fire on you by accident.

The juice level window should not be overlooked. There have been many pod devices I've received that are quite difficult to see where the juice level is, which on more than one occasion has had me puffing into a burnt vape. The viewing window for the Vinci 3 is very clear and very big making it very easy to know when to fill 'er back up. The minimum juice line sits at the base of the viewing window if you're wondering when you should refill.

The airflow when fully opened offers a nice smooth RDL vape (not quite full-on DL) and when fully closed, offers a very authentic "true" MTL vape for those that are looking for a cigarette-like draw. Both the 0.3Ω and 0.6Ω coils proved to work well with an MTL airflow configuration.

1676303488984.png

The top of the battery pod mod has your standard brass-plated, spring-loaded connector pins and the auto-draw sensor. Along the sides you can see the oval-shaped magnets that hold the pod in place very well. The bottom of the battery is a rubber bumper that I would consider to be both a pro and a con. While it feels nice when setting the device down, it also makes knocking it over much easier.

The operation of the UI is very simple. The top UI pic is the normal display when activated. From left to right and from top to bottom, you have the battery status, the set wattage, the 4-digit puff counter, and the coil resistance reading. To change the wattage, click the fire button 3 times. The wattage value will begin to blink which confirms you've successfully clicked the fire button 3 times. To change the wattage, click or hold down the fire button to increase the wattage. When reaching the max wattage available for the current coil installed, another click will round-robin the wattage back down to 5W from which you can increase the wattage by clicking or holding the fire button down.

In the middle UI pic is what you'll see after you've taken a puff. From left to right, you have the puff counter, puff timer of your last puff, and the total amount of time the device has been activated since the last puff reset. This allows you to calculate your average puff. My general length of puff is around 3 seconds, and based on the calculation here, it comes out to around 2.6 seconds which is likely accurate being that I've been testing the device in MTL configuration which includes short "tootlepuffs" as ECFers like to call it.

The bottom UI pic is what you'll see when you click the fire button 5 times. It is here that you can lock the fire button so that auto-draw is the only form of activation that will register. You can also clear the puff counter as well as power off the device. To switch between these options when in this menu, simply click the fire button to rotate through.

The USB Type-C charging port charges at around 1.5A and will take around 75-90 minutes to fully recharge from a dead battery. The device does pick up a USB 3.0 QC charging cable but does not allow pass-through vaping.

The battery itself has averaged around 230 puffs per battery cycle which is quite impressive for mostly RDL use. If you're an MTL vaper, you're almost sure to get another 100 or so puffs in per battery drain.

1676305397377.png

The PnP-DW60 MTL coil (not pictured) is a new one that's been added to the family with the release of the Vinci 3. The TW coils (pictured here) were released with the Uforce-L tank included with the Drag 4 kit and now offered with the Argus XT and MT kits. This was my favorite coil of the two that came in the kit, but I heavily favor RDL over MTL for flavor.

When inserting the coil, make sure the visible O-ring on the coil seats fully into the pod. You shouldn't be able to see the O-ring at all when pressed in properly.

The refill method is nothing new to many companies making pod devices. It's sleek and for the most part can be done with little to no spilling as long as you do not overfill the pod. Simply snap the top mouthpiece to the side to expose the refill port - remember not to try and use the air vent when doing so. The refill port comfortably fits a large Chubby Gorilla bottle nozzle so there shouldn't be any concerns about nozzle sizes. Whether you prime the coil or not, remember to let a new coil soak for a few minutes before puffing away.

Overall Thoughts with Pros/Cons
PnP coils have vastly improved in the last year. They have a long reputation for leaking and while I did experience some leakage from the TW30 coil, it wasn't a lot. I will however say that I believe it's messed with the auto-draw sensor a bit. Every-so-often when I'm using the auto-draw, it will stutter and I'll have to draw in harder to get it to fully activate. Initially when I first used the device, I did not have this issue. That's a huge reason why I support having both auto-draw and a fire button for pod devices simply because this happens all too often across many brands. So, kudos to VooPoo for include both in the Vinci 3.

Personally, I've never really been a fan of PnP coils, but the PnP-TW coils have been quite decent in the flavor department. I wouldn't put them at the top across all brands, but they've certainly improved from when I aborted PnP coils all together with the Vinci 2 being that it became a leaky mess that I no longer wanted to deal with. They're built and assembled much better than previous iterations and they've also improved the flavor output. However, the flavor improvement was more noticeable in the Uforce-L tank I recently reviewed with the Drag 4 and Argus XT kits. In the Uforce-L tank, I'd give the TW coils (namely the TW20) a flavor rating of 8.5. In the Vinci 3, I'd give the TW30 a 7 or 7.5. For a smaller device, the Vinci 3 performs quite well. The DW60 coil can't really be compared because it's meant to be vaped in MTL and you're not going to find many (if any) cases where an MTL outperforms an RDL/DL for flavor output. I will however say that the DW60 is decently solid for an MTL vape in terms of flavor.

How long either coil lasts is beyond my realm of testing. I'm at 732 puffs mostly catering to the TW30 coil and it's still going strong. My guess based on the performance of the TW20 and TW15 coils I used in the Uforce-L tank, that you can expect around 1000 puffs per coil which is pretty average.

• Cross-compatible with most PnP coils
• USB Type-C charging
• Mouthpiece is comfortable for both MTL and RDL

- - CONS - -
• Sort of a slow charge speed for a larger pod battery (75-90 min. for full recharge)

+ - PREFERENCE CONSIDERATIONS - +
• Battery underside is rubber
• TW coils have an average lifespan (DW coil unknown)

Overall Rating
8
Lots of great features included for a small pod device. I'm still not fully sold on the PnP coils, but it's nice to see that they're improving from what they once were. Overall, if you're looking for a smaller device with some bells and whistles, this is a decent choice for a starter kit. The wide range of airflow will allow both MTL and RDL vapers to enjoy the Vinci 3, and it's a great starting point for those still trying to figure out how they want to vape since they have a chance at experiencing both with a single device.

That about wraps things up! Hopefully this was informative and covered most of what you'd want to know about VooPoo's Vinci 3 Pod Kit. As always, feel free to ask questions or to PM me if you have something specific you'd like to know that wasn't covered in the review. Lastly, a thank you to the readers.

Stay tuned for future reviews and happy vape hoarding!
