Design:
Let’s start with the looks. I received the pink version of the eRoll Slim, and honestly, it is stunning. Probably one of the most beautiful vapes I’ve ever owned. It has a minimal and classy appearance, with smooth lines and a glossy finish that gives it a premium feel. The compact pen clicks magnetically into the battery case, and the entire setup feels well-made and thoughtfully designed.

AD_4nXcLg7HDRheGFq_X35d4_bx4wn2KcT3XT2yAq1SEI-iZEmlyC5H6FLOkOim-0HzjmFHz69QDkz28Y557Es16nMzXMEv4ge7T5L1DaXW_UBVpnnOUt13P4-rbO_d6DWcu1sXwYv6PCQ

Pods:
The included pod has a 0.8 ohm resistance and holds 2 ml of e-liquid. Filling it is easy thanks to the wide 3.5 mm fill hole. The pod fits snugly and I haven’t experienced any leaking issues so far. Flavor quality is solid for such a slim device, delivering a satisfying and clean hit with every puff.

AD_4nXeQhp5WqrxtKbi_2lZ3UBOSB2leoKhzcbjahItkZwrSXeRUb5VEPHHzzOeipZO9UMguEseAI7_b79ho5HSfPpGlLKmsIpkNBkDWcymDslYnLMh9T8aNraeteodF4w5pbuTsF2hGuw

Performance:
What really stood out to me was how natural it felt to use the pen without the larger battery case. It’s lightweight and slim, and I actually found myself holding it like a cigarette. That muscle memory kicked in right away, which makes this a great option for people who are transitioning away from smoking. The size, shape, and draw really mimic that feeling.

AD_4nXcXQhEbdn66rArTKJ8ISrrPH3qH2h3s5aE6voZ0WiYR__j_rEFAAUui7zGAvUjyROyvOvwHxvVi4Bwzi0-P63uRkuQ7g6PqyjnRajtqSfX6BbAf-Q70pQv8d-YK0J3EbOsfmND3qg

The vapor production is mild, which I personally prefer, and the flavor is consistently good. The 15 watt output hits just right with the 0.8 ohm pod.

AD_4nXcgNZrU-Bqtyok9IjIwi2PXvXQxOf2AYEiUQTBOS5-BS-vpCz7oJ2nSqZUKOJDROr9shYYN08rNb_r_79M1hfF7dwqP39yjeYE6-NIbz7Ec9ZTW36UWd46R3yKAifYKe0E9EQlsWA

Battery life on the pen alone is average with its 480 mAh capacity, but this is where the PCC really shines. The additional 1500 mAh built into the charging case gives you a total of nearly 2000 mAh. That is a massive plus for a setup this small. Even better, you can vape while the pen is connected to the PCC, which means you don’t have to pause your session just to charge.

AD_4nXc9yYiDN0V9IffMcFse8DFCnUdDd8T5_l2HRIh3SnMskDa6tr3KxMLzz4LO93wxuXeFUo5iryTbjtLu4HxKdJPwofCbsirjxW_OOUgAJzFLtfhH02wird1j_3XVSdAwa9oYawWxkA

The PCC also includes a very handy battery indicator. There’s a small button on the side of the case. When you press it, up to five lights appear to show the current battery level. If all five are lit, it’s fully charged. Fewer lights means it’s time to think about topping up. It’s a small detail, but super helpful.

Pros:
Gorgeous design, especially the pink version
Lightweight and slim, feels like a cigarette
Great for people quitting smoking
Strong flavor and reliable performance
PCC adds a huge battery boost
Can vape while charging in the PCC
Handy battery level indicator on the case
No leaking, easy to fill

Cons:
2 ml pod runs out fairly quickly
Battery in the pen alone won’t last all day for heavy users
No adjustable airflow

AD_4nXd-tu9I9AR-UHE42u6uvVP_6evndT8JNkHOjWc8N-j1YWOotRNit2ql8HnIWnyOdKuCJxwdzr3zHwwSC_zCtNYHMO9_Meje2a0H0_jFHr8urjCDC6S1GFgb2WrJOOwyGrGYl_uOFg

Verdict:
This is a beautifully designed and practical pod vape that I really enjoyed using. It looks amazing, performs well, and is especially useful for people who want something that feels close to a traditional cigarette. The added battery power from the PCC takes it to the next level, making it a perfect companion for all-day use. Yes, the pod capacity is small, but that’s an acceptable trade-off considering the form factor and experience.

FREEMAX REXA SQ POD KIT REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322

Hello and welcome back for the 2nd installment review of the 5 devices in the Rexa family. The Rexa SQ is a step up from the baseline Rexa Nano that I reviewed earlier which features almost total automation except for a airflow adjustment. The Rexa SQ has wattage, airflow and button deactivation with a 1300mAh internal battery that puts out a maximum of 30 watts but has a smart feature that only allows the wattage to be raised to the pod being used maximum wattage saving you from accidentally raising the wattage too high.

There is a display screen that totally disappears when not in use, it's blended in so well you wouldn't know it even has one. Unlike the Rexa Nano being button free the Rexa SQ has a fire/adjustment button that can be deactivated leaving the user with a auto draw only setup. The Pod has a 2ml capacity with a sliding fillport door that I believe is a first in the industry. For those of you that use lanyards there is a connection for that on this lightweight device.

New vape shop opening up in town and I have concerns…

So for context I live in a small town past five years or so now - think technically it’s a hamlet. Fewer than 500 people. Have to drive several miles in any direction to get signal. Two stop lights. 35mph speed trap. Etcetera. New store or restaurant opens up in town here and word gets around quick.

So I’ve been waiting for this vape shop to open. It’ll beat driving 20 miles in any direction before I get to one. I could basically walk there. So pretty cool.

The first pictures have started to circulate online and they’re… well they’re really bad. Devastatingly bad. I’m not going to post them because myriad reasons but…

Half the wall is just cigarettes.

First glass case is all knives.

Two cases devoted just to glass pipes.

I see some geek bars and disposables in one case.

An entire case - not a shelf - A CASE devoted to blunt wrap.

Some snus next to the cigarettes.

But there’s no ejuice… maybe one shelf… maybe? Two?

But there’s no mods… there’s no coils… no rebuildables… nothing.

But they sell soft drinks and dipndots.

Maybe inventory will improve over time? Maybe I can ask the guy to carry some juices the wife and I like? IDK… I’m no longer optimistic. But TBH I probably should have known better.

And yes - it is a “VAPE SHOP” not a “smoke shop”… in the name

Design

The Kumiho THOTH G has a sleek, compact design with an aluminum alloy body that feels premium yet lightweight. The 0.42-inch OLED screen on the front is a great addition, making it easy to check battery life, wattage, and puff count at a glance. The device is comfortable to hold and pocket-friendly, making it perfect for everyday use.

Pods

The Thoth G uses the THOTH series pod cartridges, which come in quite a few varieties. You have refillable pods with built-in coils, which is what I used, but there are also empty cartridges where you can swap out coils separately. On top of that, you can even buy prefilled disposable pods if you want something super convenient. The refillable pods and coils come in a range of coil resistances including 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 and 1.2 ohms, so you can really tailor the experience to your preference. The prefilled pods are only available in 1.0 ohm, which leans more towards mouth-to-lung vaping.

The pods hold 2ml of e-liquid, which is fairly standard, but the device offers precise airflow control allowing you to dial in your draw, whether you prefer a tighter MTL hit or a more open restricted direct lung style.

Performance

One of the best things about the THOTH G is its dual activation modes. You can use either button fire or auto-draw, which makes it flexible for different vaping preferences. The max 35W output gives it enough power to deliver great flavor and vapor production, especially with the 0.6ohm pod that comes in the box. The flavor from this pod is impressive, producing a clean and rich taste with every puff.

Battery life is solid thanks to the 900mAh built-in battery, which easily lasts a full day for moderate vapers. It also features a multi-function button that lets you power on/off, adjust wattage, lock/unlock, and even clear your puff counter-giving you full control over your vaping experience.

1000075869.jpg

Pros

  • Compact and stylish design
  • Easy-to-read OLED screen
  • Adjustable airflow for MTL and RDL vaping
  • Strong 900mAh battery
  • Button fire and auto-draw options
  • Smooth and flavorful performance

1751276299091.png

Cons

  • 2ml pod capacity may require frequent refills
  • No USB-C charging cable included in the box

1751276333170.png

Verdict

The Kumiho THOTH G is a fantastic option for vapers who want a sleek, simple, and flavorful pod system. The adjustable wattage, precise airflow, and dual activation modes make it versatile, while the OLED screen and solid battery life add to the convenience. If you're looking for a compact device that delivers outstanding flavor with minimal hassle, this one is worth checking out.

Bench Test Results: LG M58T - 12.5A 5570mAh 21700

These tests below only note my personal opinion for the ESTIMATED ratings for the batteries I tested at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, EVE, Ampace, Sinowatt, Lishen, BAK, or Sanyo can change at any time! This can be one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers so carefully research any battery you are considering using before purchasing.

Misusing or mishandling lithium-ion batteries can pose a SERIOUS RISK of property damage, personal injury, or even death. Never use them outside of a fully protected battery pack and you use them at your own risk. Never exceed the battery’s true continuous discharge rating (CDR), never let it get colder than 0°C or hotter than 60°C to help lower the risks and extend cell life, and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition. Never use a battery that is physically damaged in any way.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.

IMG_4556.jpegIMG_4557.jpegIMG_4558.jpegIMG_4559.jpeg

Test Results
A very good performer, equal to the Vapcell F58/F60/F63, and a bit longer running than the Lishen LR2170SK at 5A and 10A. The Samsung 55E performs a bit better (runs longer) thuogh than this cell.

The 12.5A “Max Discharge Current” rating in the datasheet seems reasonable. Just never let this cell reach the 70°C max temperature limit.

Like all ultra-high capacity cells this is not a “power” cell! You won’t see any of its extra capacity if you run it at above a few amps. I recommend staying under 2A-3A if you want all the extra capacity.

Some notes…
  • Definitely not 5800mAh as the model number might suggest. The datasheet only lists a 5570mAh minimum capacity rating and the two cells I tested delivered about 5670mAh average.
  • The standard charge current rating is 1.1A and the max is 2.7A . Stay at 1.1A or lower for longest cell life.
  • The M58T’s ’s DC IR measured 18.6mOhms and 19.1mOhms, decent consistency.
  • The metal can has a QR-style code box near the top. This is a great way to help authenticate an unwrapped/rewrapped cell. Having the code box does not guarantee that it’s a M58T but not having it (at least for now) means it’s definitely not an M58T.

A good sorta disposable..

at least it's rechargeable AND refillable. I just started to use it so I don't know anything about battery or coil life, I do know though that the coil is not replaceable. I was gonna snap a shot of this in my hand, for scale sake. This thing is 2 1/2 inches tall and 3/4 of an inch wide. The depth is probably better measured in millimeters, and it's slightly more deep up top.
I've got some D8 distillate in there. A gram will keep the Refill Team at bay for 2 days, maybe even 3..

Question about some malaysia brands

I remember a few years ago I was addicted to brands such as empire brew and pimp my juice, but it seems to be hard to find now.
I used to get it from amazon (I live in Japan) back then, but now there is no product page left.
Do you know if the retailer just stopped carrying them or if the brand stopped producing them?

RDTA Style Boros - tell me more

So I was never in to boro devices before. I was very content with a squonker and a good RDA. But when my third LostVape Centaurus Quest died I learned to my horror that they are now gone for good. Landed on the Damn Vape 21700 squonk. I’m not a fan of it.

BUT… also got a Nitrous Zaion. Caught my eye when I was placing my order. I had no idea RDTA style boros were a thing. And thus I have been lured down this rabbit hole.

That was the beginning of this month. Since then I’ve also acquired the Veepon Tita X, which completely and utterly dusts the Zaion/Atemporal RDTA (from what I can tell the only difference is the flourish of design below the AFC). Atemporal/Zaion is good don’t get me wrong. But the Tita x… L O V E

And I grabbed a MAG RBA, too. Just to see if my feelings about RTAs have changed. They haven’t. They’re fine. But I like my vape warm and thick and airy and RTAs just can’t do what an RDA/RDTA can do. Never can never will. It’s decent. I use it now and again to mix things up.

I bought my wife a pulse vessel - she like sub ohm tanks. Came with the RBA, too - which is one of the worst things I’ve ever vaped in my life. God Awful. RTAS that feed the wicks from overhead should not be allowed to exist. Gurgles and pops and just garbage.

But what else is out there?

I’ve ordered a Ghost clone from shareavape - lord knows when that will get here. Contemplating buying the authentic if I like it - $200 after shipping is a tough pill to swallow when everyone seems to really like the clone tho.

I found a Boxxer v2 on bigvape and pulled the trigger - even though the $40 shipping hurt like hell, let alone the price tag. Friendly Flipper edition, tho - so that’s kinda cool I guess. Buy once cry once. I’ve heard the glass is delicate but planning to cut up a CD case as I saw sometime posted they had success with - ingenious. And planning to feed the wicks with mesh.

I tried to get a BD Vape Droid from some site in Portugal, but I guess they don’t want my money enough to answer my emails about how to go about submitting payment.

I ordered three more Nitrous Zaion mods (I like to have backups and two are for my wife) - damnvape sent me another Zaion RDA as a gift which I thought was really cool of them btw… and two more Tita X RDAs (and backups of my backups)

So on to my questions…

I’ve learned of a few more similar Boro RDTAs

Tallboy - comes with the stubby and only works in the stubby - why hasn’t anyone made other devices that can accommodate these tanks?

Ponte (and Ponte xl) - unobtanium… why is this the only other tank that made an attempt at a tank for the stubby? I get that there is the tech tank that can accommodate regular boros, but still…) this is what keeps me from buying the stubby honestly. I have limited interest in RTA style boros and only two tanks that take advantage of the large tank capability and one cannot be found anywhere.

SKNKWRX B-01 v2 - unobtanium (was there ever a v1?)

NYX RBA - unobtanium (was it ever actually released?)

Pylon - indonesian, atemporal similar… I can get it but have to order from tokopedia and use this indo4ward service… haven’t decided if it’s worth it yet, but they also have some accessories for the Zaion - panels and buttons, so I’ll probably pull the trigger eventually

Anyone know of anywhere I can acquire any of these?

Anyone know of any other RDTA style boros worth my time? And where to find them?

Help bring me up to speed…

I’ve stepped away from vaping social media and news for the past ten years or so. I found an rda I liked and a squonk mod I liked which was eventually discontinued - after I went through about five or six of them (I’m clumsy as hell)… and then another squonker I liked - went through three of those (not my fault, the chip just really sucked).

So what did I miss?

Boro devices seem to have blown up. And disposables have blown up. Squonkers have just died off almost completely. Mesh wicks saw a resurgence it seems.

From what I can see things don’t stay on the shelves for long either. It’s really hard to find things - in general.

There’s like three or four US based vape shops that sell hardware. Where did they all go?

Nothing is in stock!

By the second page of vape devices all I see are bongs and glass pipes. WTH!?

What the heck happened? I step away for a few years because I’m content with my setup and the whole industry goes to hell.

Anyone have any insight?

Hi, can i introduce myself?

Hallo

I registered today, but I've been reading for some months. I started vaping in December after smoking hookah daily for over 15 years. I'm almost 30 now, and never really felt problems until a tough time in my life led me to smoke hookah for about 5 hours a day. I was inhaling a lot of carbon monoxide and all the known tobacco toxins. I started getting a lot of phlegm in my throat, which made breathing difficult, and my stomach was terrible with ulcers from smoking on an empty stomach and prolonged acidity.

A few years ago, I bought some pods like the Koko Prime but couldn't make the switch. Then I got a Geekvape Aegis (the first model with only pre-built coils). It was better, but still pretty lame and didn't satisfy my craving, which was more about the act of smoking itself than nicotine. As I said, I was in a bad place, and the conscious inhaling and exhaling, standing still with something in my hands, made me calm. Those devices just felt like trash.

This year, I met a guy with a Voopoo Drag 4 and got curious again. I tried his vape and felt it had potential to help me switch from hookah. I wasn't sure if it was healthier, so I started researching, looking at real studies instead of clickbait. I decided it was a better option for me. Since selling any e-cig, nicotine, or even nicotine-free juice is illegal where I live, he got me a Voopoo Drag 5 with a PnP X from his country (I live in a border city). It was awesome!

From there, I got a Zeus Mesh, a Blotto Max, and an Elder Dragon RDA. I had some really hard dry hits with the Zeus that almost made me hallucinate, haha, it was terrible! But after I learned wicking, I can't use anything besides SS316 mesh. It's my favorite; when I try any other coil, I just think, "meh, why am I not vaping with mesh?"

I started making my own DIY juices after just one month of vaping. I have 104 flavors right now because I wanted to get references about tastes (all 10ml bottles). In my country, I can only find Capella, TPA, or some limited Flavorah, Inawera, SSA, or WF. Not all of them, but enough to be happy. I tried importing some from Nom Nomz UK, and my package is currently being held in customs for authorization analysis. I really like milkshake and bubblegum juices. Oh, and I absolutely hate Johnny Cream Puff Banana. It was the first juice I bought myself because it sounded so good (US-made, and I love banana), but I still have 50% of it because it's horrible. Sometimes I just use it when my cotton is going dark just to try it again.

I still want to get a DNA 250C or a YiHi, but they are hard to get here. Only the G Class V2 or DNA 100C are available right now, and I'm not sure if it would be worth it for me since I only use mesh. TC wouldn't act the best, and I really can't understand the "replay function"—I don't grasp the concept of it just repeating the heating.

I'm worried because disposables are dominating everything, and I'm afraid I won't be able to find any good new mods here in a few months. But since I live on the border, I could order from the US or UK, send it to the other country, and bring it over on foot; for personal use, that should be okay.

Oh, and of course, now that I'm only vaping and not smoking hookah, my phlegm has started to improve. I had actually given up hope it would return to normal because it had already been six months, but now it's much milder, and I also have more energy—not just from having more oxygen, but genuinely more motivation to get things done. With hookah, I had to sit for an hour doing nothing until it finished; with vape, I can just take a puff now and another whenever I want. I really believe my health is still improving, even though I'm a heavy user, going through 20-40ml per day of either 3mg freebase or 6mg salt. But I know that with time, I can cut down. I'm just afraid of increasing the nicotine and only increasing the quantity instead of decreasing my puffs.

And my nickname just means badger in my language that i use since i was 12, mostly because i lack the creativity to think in a better one.
I'm from Brazil, that i get reluctant to say most of the times, because it doesnt get a good reputation

Innokin Coolfire Z80 NEX Kit by Infinium

tJZoEhK.jpeg

Innokin Coolfire Z80 Nex Kit sent free of charge by HealthCabin, with whom I have no working relationship or receive any payment. It consists of the CoolFire Z80 Mod and the new Zenith Nex. Revisions (or sequels) of flagship products in Innokin's catalog. The Coolfire Z80 is a compact single 18650 battery mod, with bottom battery insertion and various vaping modes. The Zenith Nex Tank features top airflow, aiming to make a significant impact in the world of MTL coil-head atomizers.

IYzNlEY.jpeg

The packaging is visible in the upper photo, featuring a plasticized cardboard sleeve protecting a heavy cardboard box. Inside are the CoolFire Z80 Mod, Zenith Nex, and a spare tank. The 3 white bags contain o-rings, a second drip tip, and a Z Coil, with a second one already installed in the Zenith. Finally, there's a USB Type-C cable and a manual.

Wbdal4B.jpeg

The Zenith, always a competitor to another popular MTL coil-head atomizer, is Innokin's attempt to relaunch with this new version called Nex. It weighs 61 grams and has a generous 26 mm diameter, compensating for its height of 41 mm (excluding pin and drip tip), as well as its 5 ml capacity with the straight tank. Innokin decided to reintroduce the entire Z Coil series with it. The included drip tips are made of plastic; one is designed for MTL vaping, the other for an open MTL. Both have a height of 10 mm excluding the base, while what differentiates them is the bore diameter: 4.5 mm for the MTL one, 6 mm and a few tenths for the open MTL one.

jSBLSia.jpeg

I would describe the top cap as "courageous" since Innokin attempted the move of placing the airflow on one side and the refill port on the other, all adjustable via the top cap/airflow ring. This solution was certainly found to save space compared to designing an efficient sliding top cap or system, but it still works.

rbhUNyL.jpeg

To refill, you need to rotate the top cap and then unplug the stopper, so it's two operations compared to just opening a slide or unscrewing the cap. In terms of leak reliability, it's comparable to atomizers with a threaded top cap; it's impossible to open it accidentally. I don't know its long-term durability since the top cap essentially rotates over it. I tried to extract the top cap both when "open" and "closed," and it wouldn't budge: I assume it's press-fitted.

XjaCr8C.jpeg

The top airflow system is another way to prevent leaks at the cost of some flavor intensity. There's only one airflow slot, not a double one like on other top airflow atomizers. You can choose between one or two open holes, after which you can adjust the larger slot to your liking in addition to the holes. Precisely because there's only one slot, I'll state right away that it's an MTL - open MTL atomizer, despite compatibility with more powerful RDL coils. The 5 ml tank is held in place by two o-rings. If the 5 ml capacity seems strange, almost all the liquid ends up in the "hidden" area of the domed top cap. The cap-airflow block can be separated from the bell by rotating it once the glass is removed. Unscrewing the two parts reveals a semblance of a chimney, quite narrow at 5.5 mm diameter. On the bell block, you can see the feeding holes that allow liquid to flow into the coil.

kpBVwlt.jpeg

The airflow system is similar to many existing DTL atomizers, except here the slots are much smaller. If you're concerned that the Zenith Nex might be too airy, with one small hole, the draw is somehow very tight, with two holes there's resistance, but it's less, yet still MTL. The press-fit of the Z Coils is mandatory as there are two guides indicating the correct orientation, so they align with the holes on the bell.

PJSKdQS.jpeg

The inside of the base is perforated because the chosen Z Coil, in addition to being a coil, also acts as the actual 510 pin, allowing the Zenith Nex to be read by the mod. On the outside of the base, there are CE and disposal logos, along with the signatures of Phil Busardo and Vaping Greek/Dimitrios Agrafiotis. Finally, this is how much the Z Coil should protrude and align with the guides when correctly inserted; you can aid insertion by slightly wetting the Z-Coil's o-rings.

X5eM0CR.jpeg

There are no new developments on the Z-Coil front, with a roster that remains well-assorted, offering 8 possibilities:

1.2Ω: 9-13W
0.6Ω: 9-13W
1.6Ω: 10-14W
0.8Ω: 14-17W (included in package)
0.48Ω: 12-16W
0.5Ω: 12-16W
1.0Ω: 20-25W
0.3Ω: 30-40W (included in package)

6 out of 8 are MTL, which speaks volumes about the real target and what the Zenith Nex performs best at. The 0.3Ω included in the package is usable, given the substantial mass of 61 grams (so the atomizer doesn't get too hot unless chain vaping), but it remains a forced choice given the chimney's size and the 510 drip tip connection. The 0.8Ω is much more natural and suitable for on-the-go vaping if you want to use coil-head tanks.

wiGNdO3.jpeg

The CoolFire Z80, a new entry in the Coolfire family, maintains compact dimensions and weight with all the conveniences of having an interchangeable 18650 battery. It weighs 94 grams; I would have expected something less, but it's forgiving given its apparent solidity. The finish in my case resembles brushed steel but lacks mirror-polished inserts (as was the case with the Kroma). It's not tone-on-tone with steel RTAs, but it's close.

zMfkMwL.jpeg

Innokin's 510 are always aesthetically pleasing, with a stylized target-like design that allows heat dissipation and prevents the atomizer from sticking completely if screwed down tightly, even without needing to install a spongebox. The cap diameter is 17 mm, while atomizers up to 26 mm can be installed without protruding from the body. The 510 threading features a spring-loaded gold-plated pin.

E8HE9oO.jpeg

Laterally, there's a nice novelty compared to mods from other manufacturers, with the + and - buttons installed along the body. This solution is well-suited for right-handed users, while a left-handed person might find them covered by their palm depending on how they hold the CoolFire Z80. I'll also preemptively state that there's very little to navigate in the circuit, so 90% of the time, these buttons will be used exclusively to adjust wattage.

UWIBipn.jpeg

On the back, in my color scheme, it's a hybrid of padded fabric covered with eco-leather, but two colorways exist where it's only eco-leather, without spongy fabric and slightly more sober. Innokin, probably aware of the problem that affected old fabric Coolfire models, used a vaguely water-repellent coating; if you grab it with wet hands, the fabric doesn't soak, but I'd still be careful.

yS4p3eH.jpeg

On the bottom, the steel battery cap also serves to keep the CoolFire Z80 balanced in an upright position, but fortunately, a small part of the body also rests on the surface. There are 4 vent holes present, which I always appreciate when manufacturers remember their importance. Flush with the cap's body, there's a lever that can be lifted to help unscrew it. Only 18650 batteries are supported. The cap threading is well-made, with the usual recommendation not to overtighten and to ensure you've caught the thread before starting to screw it in.

UTOQcok.jpeg

The fire button is on the front, with the elegance of a golden profile, at least in my colorway. Its size is well-judged and easy to reach regardless of how the CoolFire is held. The screen is a 0.96-inch TFT with unmodifiable but reasonably good brightness. Below the screen, a lock/unlock switch has been installed, complete with a padlock silkscreen print for quick fire button locking. Finally, there's a USB Type-C port.

r7UjEMw.jpeg

The circuit is very minimalist, but what's there is well-executed. First subtlety, the 0.5W increment at a time between 6 and 20 watts, perfect for MTL vapers, while from 21 to 80 (maximum output), the increment is 1 watt. On the main screen, the wattage is large, and below it are a 4-digit puff counter, volts, puff timer, and coil ohm value.

Navigation:

3 clicks of the fire button to turn on or off
+ and - buttons pressed together to enter wattage selection
Fire and - buttons pressed together to enter the menu
Fire and + buttons pressed together to enter the screen showing battery voltage and to reset puffs

Menu items:
Screen timeout adjustable from 5 to 180 seconds
Output cutoff adjustable from 3 to 18 seconds
Device ID: to view the 14-digit ID

XtLovQe.jpeg

Unfortunately, the circuit has removed the refresh functions, which I found to be a nice addition, but it retains the ability to modify screen timeout and puff cutoff. Here too, Innokin's habit of offering mods that are perpetually in standby returns. If a button is pressed when "off," the screen turns on, advising to press the fire button 3 times to power on. It doesn't seem to affect consumption if left still for two days with the battery inserted. Protections include the usual output cutoff based on settings, low voltage (without specifying at what voltage it kicks in during firing), overheating, and short circuit.

vFOtOB0.jpeg

The CoolFire Z80 is undoubtedly valuable for its compact size, which is usually the most sought-after feature in devices in this price range. The Zenith Nex's biggest pro is its 5 ml capacity without a bubble glass, and using the "empty" top cap to contain the liquid is a stroke of genius. This makes it possible to use it to cover a workday with an MTL Z Coil without needing to refill. I would have also appreciated a third small airflow hole before the large slot, but it's fine as is.

The Innokin Coolfire Z80 NEX Mod Kit 80W 5ml is available on HealthCabin https://www.healthcabin.net/innokin-coolfire-z80-nex-mod-kit-80w-p/30421.html in 6 colors with the code "SUMMER" active on all items to be entered at checkout for an additional 15% discount.
