I got this mod in hopes that my gripes about the one sent to me by VOOPOO as a tester (sample) version were fixed on the market (non-sample) version. I am unhappy to report that both of my issues were not addressed before landing on the market. Those were the fact that theres no an external battery version for those of us that prefer to use our own batteries so that we're not stuck with waiting for the mod to charge. My other gripe was that it isnt robust like an Aegis series mod. IMO this mod would be perfect if it was external battery and drop proof. The dial on it serves to navigate the menus and to change the wattage. Wanna let y'all know, the dial is surprisingly robust for what it is. Very responsive and very tactile in terms of feedback. Also it can handle juice spills like they're nothing. I accidentally tested this using a Hellvape Hellbeast RTA as overstuffed it and it leaked a ton, but didn't affect the device at all or get into it as far as I noticed which is nice. As I said, my only gripes are apparent lack of an external battery version, and lack of life proof (IPX rating) previously but now add the Touch Capacitive Sensor. Overall give it a solid 8/10. It performs great especially in RBA mode (my personal favorite mode). I will also add that the capacitive touch sensor is kind of a drawback because what do you do once the sensor dies? I'm assuming it becomes a brick because you can't fire it if it's not unlocked and you can't unlock it if you can't get it to sense your finger. Honestly Geekvape tried this on the Legend 3 and went back to a physical lock on the Legend 5 if that tells you anything about how well touch sensors work. I wouldn't be surprised if they go back to a manual lock on the Drag 7. Only time will tell what the mod does once the touch sensor dies.

If you've been unhappy with the last few Drag kits like the Drag 4 or Drag 5, you'll be happy to know it appears VOOPOO returned to building their Drag kits like they did when the Drag 2 and Drag 3 came out which absolutely adored back then. Like said the only hinderance to the perfect score is the lack of external battery option and lack of IPX rating. With that said it still earns an 8/10 rating due to build quality and coil performance although the touch sensor and other issues making it to market kind of dings the score IMO.

I got this a little less than a week ago and have been running it constantly without any issues aside from those created by my own stupidity. By that I mean I stupidly put the eliquid into the airflow as it was on the top of the pod and not through the device as I'm accustomed to on most pods. I mistakenly thought it was the tank fill port . Once that issue was rectified (cleaning the tank and installing a new coil once it dried), it performed flawlessly. I haven't however been able to use 1 feature that is advertised as being there, and that is sharing modes between devices. It has Bluetooth functionality, but it doesn't work properly. That or I haven't figured out how to get it to work. My other gripe is the fact that there's no way to lock it physically. You have to navigate the menu options to get it to lock. I will say it is built rather well and is super sturdy. I've dropped mine a few times at airsoft and on pavement with no issues other than a few scrathes and chips. I absolutely adore the K5 coil. It's got great flavor and great clouds. My other main gripe is that is that it doesn't seem to count puffs at 100% accuracy. That means if you take a short puff, it won't register it like 65% of the time.As for the AI chipset, I haven't noticed any real difference after a few thousand puffs vs the first few dozen. I don't know if it does change anything or not, but regardless I enjoy this kit personally. Now would I recommend it to someone with a short attention span that won't like navigating menus? Absolutely not. Would I recommend this to someone who wants a high wattage robust pod kit like the Knight AIO but with more robust build? Absolutely. I give this a solid 8.6/10.

It is a 4.5ml capacity tank with a sliding top cap for filling. Some of my favorite tanks have sliding top caps which I’ve grown to love as it is easier for me instead of unthreading a top cap. The Pro II offers both MTL and RDL styles of vaping. It is a top airflow tank and offers dual leak protection to keep things mess free. It includes two drip tips depending if you want to do MTL or RDL and they are universal 510 tips so you can also use your favorite tip if you like.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

Innokin was nice enough to include a Coolfire Z80 NEX mod with the Zenith Pro II tank for my review. I have previously reviewed this mod in a prior review so won’t be covering it in detail. This time I did receive a different color version than last time as the sample this time is the silver version. The wrap on the body gives off a prism like effect depending on how the light hits it.







Ok, now on to the star of the show, the Innokin Zenith II Pro. The packaging is the usual white box with the Innokin and product names on the front. Instead of a standard box top, the contents slide out the side. At first you see the tank and the spare glass which is wrapped for protection during shipping.

The tank comes with the MTL drip tip installed and the .8 ohm coil installed in the tank. Underneath the foam insert holding the tank, there is an RDL drip tip, a .3 ohm Z coil, a spare parts kit, and user manual.



As always, I disassembled the tank and gave it a bath in some hot and soapy water. The Pro II makes us of a top airflow system. There is on larger slotted hole along with three different sized round holes that allow for a tight MTL to a loose RDL. I know that the glass in my picture looks cloudy and that is because I assembled the tank to take pictures right after cleaning it and couldn’t get the glass out initially to dry it properly.









Probably one of my top features of this tank is the sliding top cap. There is an arrow on the top of the tank to let the user know which direction to push the top cap for refilling. There is also a rubber gasket over the fill hole to help with mess free filling. The top cap can also be unscrewed for cleaning purposes.



The bottom of the tank has the Platform series name along with the Zenith Pro II name. I was a little surprised that the 510 center pin wasn’t gold plated. It does however make a good connection with the mod used.



The Zenith II Pro makes use of the Z series coils that many have come to love over the years. The options available are .3, .8, 1.2, and 1.6 ohm coils. I personally prefer the .8 for MTL and obviously the .3 for RDL.



FINAL THOUGHTS:

First of all, let me say how refreshing it was to receive a mod and tank for a review instead of another pod device in a very long list of pod kits that I’ve reviewed. Kudos to Innokin for staying in the game with advanced equipment. I truly appreciate that. I really enjoyed testing the Zenith II Pro. Normally I gravitate towards the lower resistance coils and do truly like and stock the .3 ohm Z coils but this time I spent the most time testing the .8 ohm coil. Perhaps because I have and use the .3 ohm coils and am used to them. I used the .8 ohm coil with a sweet boysenberry mix that I found very flavorful in this coil. I had the airflow open enough to get a loose MTL type vape that I prefer. I really have nothing negative to say about this tank. I would definitely recommend it for someone who wants a simple tank that uses drop in coils without having to worry about building coils and wicking. The flavor production was very good with the .8 ohm coil even after over 500 puffs on the counter.
