We've all seen it. The puff counts on disposables are getting absolutely insane. We went from a few thousand to 8k, and now every new device is claiming

So what the hell is going on? How are they calculating these numbers, and are we all just vaping wrong?

First Off: "Lab Puffs" vs. Your REAL Puffs
Think of it like a car's official MPG (miles per gallon). The car company tests it on a perfect, flat road with no traffic, driving like a grandma, and gets an amazing number. Then you buy it, drive in the real world with traffic and a heavy foot, and your mileage sucks.
It's the

Manufacturers use a machine that takes a perfect,
one-second puff every 30 seconds to let the coil re-saturate.

It basically comes down to these culprits:
