After the Artha Pro pod, a new RDL-cloud dripper arrives: the Artha Gen 2 RDA. Despite being a few years old, it still feels up-to-date, considering the numerous releases of this type of atomizer in early 2025.
Made of stainless steel, my unit features a polished mirror finish, which Advken claims to be scratch-resistant. I’ve had it for almost two months, and so far, that claim holds true—though I haven’t dropped it.
It stands 32.9 mm tall, with a diameter of 24 mm and a weight of 36 grams.



The packaging is well-designed, featuring a matte-finish tin box that houses the Artha Gen 2 and can be repurposed to store rebuilding tools. On the back, there's a scratch-and-check label to verify authenticity, while the nicotine warning is displayed without the annoying white background.



Inside the black "accessory bag," there are spare orings and grub screws for the posts. The black card with gold lettering on the back lists the specifications of the Gen 2. Lastly, there's a second RDL Airflow Control Ring, in addition to the preinstalled "cloud" version.



The 810 drip tip has a small base, non-separable from the rest, made of black polycarbonate, while the rest of the drip tip is made of resin with a nearly marbled effect. It features an 810 connection, with the o-ring absent on the drip tip but present inside the base. Although not included, the cap's geometry allows the use of an 810 -> 510 reducer to tighten the draw.



By removing the drip tip, the top cap can be unscrewed, holding the airflow control ring in place. The threading is well-executed, with grooves to make gripping easier. I should mention that there are only two airflow configurations, with no option to purchase aftermarket rings. Loosening or tightening the top cap does not affect the airflow.



Above the top cap, the ring is securely held in place by a small triangle just below it, with the Advken logo engraved, indicating that it cannot rotate to adjust airflow. The two airflow control rings feature 4 air holes, 2 on each side. The RDL/single coil ring has holes that are 2.5 mm wide, while the cloud/dual coil ring has 3 mm holes.



The airflow system of the Gen 2 RDA, despite offering only two draw options, is well-designed by Advken. The air doesn’t immediately hit the coil; instead, it first impacts the barriers created on the deck block of the Artha Gen 2. Afterward, it enters a rectangular channel about 7 mm long, before hitting the coil. It remains a side airflow system, not a bottom airflow, as the coil(s) are always hit from the side.



The inside of the Artha Gen 2 cap features a narrowing that prevents accidental rotation and ensures that the coil-airflow positioning is always correct. There are no threads, but two slightly oversized o-rings hold everything in place. With a drop of VG or liquid, insertion is smooth and easy.



The deck of the Artha Gen 2 has a liquid well that isn’t very deep but still holds about 1 ml of e-liquid. The positive posts are gold-plated. The coil mounting follows a postless design, with the coil inserted into the posts and tightened using the grub screws on the sides. The build is straightforward, making it difficult for the legs to touch the surface, preventing accidental shorts. It's easy to build in both single and dual coil configurations, with everything tightening smoothly, even when using complex coils or single wires, without the wire "skipping" the grub screws as you tighten them.



For a single coil setup, you can choose to position the legs either parallel or diagonally. The cotton in the photo is intentionally abundant because that wire is quite thick. To bend the cotton (and adjust the length of the wicks), it can be arranged either straight or in an S-shape style by folding it. In this case, make sure the airflow path isn’t obstructed by the cotton, as this would affect the smoothness of the draw. If necessary, trim the end of the wick diagonally rather than straight to ensure proper airflow.



The bottom of the Artha Gen 2 features excellent craftsmanship with engravings displaying the name "Artha Gen 2," CE mark, and disposal information. The back of the black card with gold lettering is minimal, yet more pleasant than typical instruction booklets, containing all the necessary information. Although the gold-plated pin is removable, the bottom feeder pin is not included in the package.



Build: In addition to the twisted wire used in the photo, the classic 26 gauge in single coil, which I use to gauge how much power an atomizer can handle, offers a decent flavor, but there’s a sense of vaping with the brakes on. If available, a 25 gauge or more commonly a 24 gauge is probably more suitable. Keep in mind that the actual airflow is rectangular, 7 mm wide, and hits directly: the number of spaced wraps (4 or 5) will influence this. For dual coil builds, it's better to limit the wraps to 5 or at most 6, depending on the wire type, since the coil is hit from only one side.

Aromatic-wise, the Artha Gen 2 has a wide aromatic spectrum despite its "only" 24 mm diameter and the narrowing of the cap, offering good separation of e-liquid ingredients. In single coil, flavor-wise, unless you use a complex coil as mentioned, it’s on the acceptable side, but with a simple twisted wire, it performs much better. It’s equally valid in dual coil setups, including a relaxed build with 27 gauge wire. The diameter of the coil itself also plays a role; although I’ve mentioned that you can make plenty of wraps, filling the deck with a 3 mm or even 3.5 mm coil will enhance the flavor. I specify this because, despite its moderate size, it still provides a significant amount of airflow.



The Artha Gen 2 by Advken can be described as essential, offering two types of airflow—take it or leave it. It makes up for this with its aesthetic, featuring a mirror finish, and with a build process that’s so simple it could be a great option as a first dual coil dripper, thanks to how easily the wire is secured and the ample space for aligning the coils as parallel as possible. For single coil vaping, it’s better suited for fans of complex builds or larger gauge single wires.

Thanks to yet another "anonymous" benefactor, I have got my hands on one of the delights from Secret's Lab's "teddy bear" range, specially made for fans of cool, fruity flavours. In Biggy Bear's design, the bear is not the classic friendly waving teddy bear, but a real badass character, probably vaping on a mountaintop in a leather jacket . Colours, contrasts and that iconic bear who looks like he's about to pull out his skateboard and head out for a downhill race at any moment.

But enough about the looks, let's get down to business! Today's menu: pomegranate, kiwi and strawberry, spiked with the icy - and thankfully not bear cave-scented - breath of the "bear". The strawberries are the most detectable scent, but the other fruits blend in nicely. The whole has a pleasant aroma reminiscent of a fruity gummy sugar.
The flavours start with a cool "teddy bear" breath at the beginning of the inhale, which for my part with this 8% blend is quite good. It's not too strong, but still freezes the throat sufficiently. On the exhale, the fruit flavours emerge, with strawberries perhaps the dominant flavour here, as in the nose. Sweet, not too real, more like a candied fruit. The kiwi and pomegranate can also be detected at times, but if I hadn't read the description, I would have certainly left the latter two fruits out of the description. That said, this is a "mixed fruit" flavour, it feels very intense, and despite the sweetening, it doesn't get gejl with continued steaming. On the other hand... my little "bear" is quite a biter: after two tanks, he chews the cotton candy like it's his lunch. He's like a steam engine on steam, but what do you expect from a colourful, sugary wonder? Come to think of it, changing three cotton balls a day isn't really my sport - and the taste isn't world-changing enough to make me want to do it.

Bottom line: the grumpiness of the "bear" - i.e. the brutal coaxing - did dampen my enthusiasm. Despite this, the colour and flavour did not disappoint: intense, subtle, albeit a little artificial and perhaps overly sweet, but it delivers exactly what the manufacturer promised.

I've arrived at the next teddy bear, this time dressed in red - not in the Santa Claus way, but more like a fashion icon spun on strawberries! The colour of the aroma tells you what to expect in terms of flavour: strawberries, strawberries, and a bit more ... strawberries - with a good dose of cool breeze to wake up your almonds. As we saw in the previous teddy bear test, this series isn't one for subdued flavours - our teddy bear has a sweet tooth. Here again we get the classic "honey-glazed" style, which the series members can't (and won't) seem to shed.
The nose is definitely reminiscent of strawberry syrup, with an intense and sweet aroma that immediately grabs your attention. It's unlikely to be known for its understatement - the strawberry dominance is clear and pleasantly seductive.
As I had sent the previous 'bear' test into battle with a DL tank, I thought it was time to take the party to another level and got out an MTL tank - to see if the sweetness would show a different face, in a less 'sugar-intoxicating' way. Plus, you know, "let's not say I'm biased", so let's play fair and give this piece of writing an impeccable starting point.
Sticking to the blending ratio envisioned by the manufacturer, I ended up with a pleasantly cool, yet unabashedly strawberry-marshmallowy experience on my hands - or rather in my lungs . I suspect in DL mode this chill would hit like a veritable polar bear hug, but even in MTL it's like a strawberry juice bomb fresh out of the fridge. I really have no complaints, except that the sweetening level has been cranked up to a level that would be the envy of sugar companies - in fact, it beats what I expected!

The taste? Just like sipping a well-sweetened strawberry syrup. It's not bad, in fact, it's quite enjoyable... but obviously not in the "morning to night snacking" category. To be honest, it was a bit stronger than I expected in MTL, so I'm unlikely to try it in Rda at 40-50 watts - unless I want a syrup-swilling adventure. Regardless, sometimes it's nice to dive into a "syrupy" world like this, then after 4-5 ml, return nicely to an island of calm... or at least your throat thanks you.
A big thank you to the "anonymous" benefactor for the shipment - or more precisely, for the items! I report that the "teddy bear" treats have run out of the test bench , and it looks like they won't be back on the menu for a while... or rather, the steam table .

Hi everyone, years ago I used to use fancy coils like fused claptons, aliens etc in my mods, but in the end settled on making plain roundwire coils as they needed less power and still seemed to taste good.

Last night I fancied a change though, so got a length of 26G SS316L, looped it through the handle of a mug, then held both ends of the wire together with pliers.

I twisted the mug round and round until the twist was really tight, and if I turned the mug anymore it started to kink the wire, so it was as tightly wrapped as possible, then I snipped the ends.

I got a 2.5MM bit, and made a 6 wrap coil that comes in at 0.23 Ohms. I installed this on my VLS Vector RDA on top of my Kindred V2, and remembered why I liked a bit of a beefier coil from years ago.

It is a very warm, but not hot, vape, which is really bringing out the flavour of my DIY Eliquids, and is also producing a bit more vapour than I am used too but am enjoying it.

So, it just goes to show what a little bit of effort can do when you are making your own coils. I honestly can't be bothered to make my own claptons anymore, so will probably order a roll of it pre made, and will get back to experimenting with my builds to see what I like.

I've been struggling for 4-5 years to find a good source for this specific nic salt...

Nicbase/Delosi and others refuse to even tell me which acid they use. I am certain that nicbase does not use benzoate anymore. I ordered a gallon a few years back and it was so nasty that I ended up getting a credit and dumping it down the drain.

I found some that I like, but it comes from the UK, but it's $175/liter shipped, and it's only 72mg... Making this stuff crazy expensive.

So I'm wondering if anyone knows of a US source for quality 100mg benzoate?

Does anyone else have a problem or so from Vaporesso Armour S, if so, please explain, and I might have the same problem as yours, because my mod has few issues, it was just making my battery show (100%) but it isn't, because it shows 0% on my mod when I turn it on, but I had to look up the info about it, and it showed, I have to factory reset it manually or on the settings itself, but the manual part is not easy because you have to do the hard way is the Fire Button and other 2 is " - " " + " all together and hold down for few seconds, but that doesn't work for me, so I had to do the settings itself, but it does work, but this isn't the first time, but when I received the Mod in the mail since January 2025, it works fine, but then after a week of receiving the mod, and it was already malfunctioning, and the mod stops working then I have to put the battery back in, but then it didn't help, so what I did was I had to mess with the battery door, and now it started to work, and I factory reset it in the settings by pressing the fire button 3 times, and I scrolled down by using " - " where the default button is, well it factory defaults all your settings, but good thing I had to look everything up to see how to do it right.

Hey everyone, out of my collection of 52 mods I added a new one to the collection about 6 weeks ago that I got told about on another forum, an authentic Council of Vapor Kindred V2 for £4.99 on clearance.

I only bought it where it was so cheap, I couldn't pass the offer, and was truly stunned.

It is a Stainless Steel finish, but the mod is actually made of copper internally for the best conductivity but finished in SS for the durability and looks.

It has a fantastic magnetic firing button, the pin is easily adjusted to allow for a shorter or longer throw, and the pin is copper plated in Silver.
i have had zero misfires with the switch, wherever you hit it it fires perfectly.

The 510 end I love, as it is a standard 510 and not a hybrid, which I prefer. The pin and adjustable contacts are also copper plated in Silver again. It is easy to adjust the 510 and also the pin for battery rattle.

It has a reverse locking ring for safely putting it in your pocket, preventing the mod from firing accidentally, and the threads are so smooth!

I have spent 6 times the cost of this mod on good quality clones before, and am blown away by how good this mod actually is, is authentic, and cost me the price of a cup of coffee from Costa.

I paired it with a VLS Vector 22MM Stainless steel RDA I had that matches it perfectly, and am running a kanthal 22G 2MM ID, 5 wrap coil coming in at 0.25 Ohms. This seems the perfect level of power and cloud production for me, and with the Molicel P26A's and P28A's I am using I am well within safe limits amp load wise.

I honestly am blown away by how good this mech is, I usually am a regulated TC guy but this mod hasn't left my hand since I got it, it performs that well.

These tests below only note my personal opinion for the ESTIMATED ratings for the batteries I tested at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, EVE, Lishen, BAK, or Sanyo can change at any time! This can be one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers so carefully research any battery you are considering using before purchasing.

Misusing or mishandling lithium-ion batteries can pose a SERIOUS RISK of property damage, personal injury, or even death. Never use them outside of a fully protected battery pack and you use them at your own risk. Never exceed the battery’s true continuous discharge rating (CDR), never let it get colder than 0°C or hotter than 60°C to help lower the risks and extend cell life, and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition. Never use a battery that is physically damaged in any way.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.




Test Results
This is the best performing (longest running) 21700 I have tested at both 5A and 10A, even beating the Vapcell F56/F60.

This cell uses Samsung’s new style of model number (CC5493F101, Ver A, for these cells). But “55E” is on the metal can, near the top. In bright light you can see this through the wrap.

The cells I tested were sourced from nkon.nl, incorrectly listed as “58E”. I’m not sure why as you can clearly see “55E” through the wrap.

The 58E exists but its model number is CC5733F101 and you can see “58E” through the wrap near the top. I hope to get some soon for testing.

Some 55E specs:

• 5330mAh minimum, 5490mAh typical capacity.
• Its 10.6A continuous current rating seems fair.
• It has a 16A temp-limited current rating, stay under 70°C!
• This is not a power cell! You cannot run it at above 15A or so and expect any kind of decent run time. There will be too much voltage sag. Best is under 10A or so (pulsed or continuous).
• Standard charge rate is 2.6A, max is 5.3A but Samsung says that will shorten cycle life.
• This is a large cell, datasheet spec is 21.78mm dia., 71.0mm long. But the largest cell I had was 21.50mm dia., 71.40mm long…fat and long!
• DC IR for the two cells I tested measured 15.5mOhms and 15.6mOhms. This is extraordinary consistency.
• Capacities for the two cells was 5589mAh and 5599mAh, fantastic consistency.
• This IR and capacity consistency helps when assembling battery packs. The self-discharge rate consistency is also important when sorting cells for battery packs but I have not tested that for these cells.
