► Eleaf iOre Mix; How it's made;
For this review, Joyetech Group sent me the Eleaf iOre Mix in Black, featuring bright green decorations. With a lightweight plastic body, this kit feels sturdy enough. Weighing in at around 65 grams, its easy handling is enhanced by soft lines that blend seamlessly with the sleek, flat body. The flat surface features the "Iore Mix" logo on one side, set against a pleasing mosaic of green lines and black geometric spaces. At the center of this design is the 5V/1A Type-C charging port. On the opposite flat side, the green "Eleaf" logo is printed. The control panel features a slightly protruding green mode button, conveniently placed for easy fingertip access. Above it are two indicator LEDs. After seeing the interaction between these two LEDs and the battery, we'll see later how the button and the two LEDs interact with the remaining functions of this kit.
The bottom of the mod has a narrow but rather extended support base, which ensures good stability when holding it upright rather than lying flat. At first glance, the first thing you'll notice at the top are the two holes at the top of the cartridge. These are essentially two independent chimneys that allow you to inhale your e-liquid vapor in four different ways, which we'll discuss later.
The side profile features the same design on both sides. At the top, the frame is open, allowing for easy viewing of the internal e-liquid level. The two opposing airflow holes for the cartridges are small and lack any airflow control (AFC).
The pod compartment is essentially a double compartment with electrical transfer pins for each cartridge and a separate draw sensor for each cartridge. Once the two cartridges are assembled correctly, this module can be inserted into the pod compartment, and four small but powerful magnets will ensure a solid connection to the mod. The Eleaf iOre Mix has an exclusively automatic e-liquid extraction mode, with no buttons required. The only button is the mode button, which we'll discuss later after describing the combined module for the two cartridges.
► Eleaf iOre Mix; 2-in-1 system Cartridge:
The two cartridges each have a capacity of 2ml, with separate refills via the classic silicone tip. This results in a 4ml pod system (2+2ml). Naturally, you can use the same e-liquid in both cartridges, or use a different e-liquid for each. Visually, the two cartridges differ in the color of the material: one is classic transparent, and the other is ultem yellow. Inside each cartridge is a 1.0Ω mesh resistor that releases vapor through two independent channels visible at the top of the drip tip. The maximum power output of both cartridges when used together is 24W (fully charged) with a resistive value of approximately 0.5Ω. If you use the cartridges individually or alternately, the power is halved and is provided by the coils in use, which have a resistive value of approximately 1.0Ω. This allows you to vape in RDL (Dual Coils) or MTL (Single Coil) mode. Holding the two cartridges together is a plastic frame that allows for the cartridges to be removed and inserted via a simple but sturdy lateral sliding rail system.
► Eleaf iOre Mix; Operating Guide:
Five clicks on the mode button to turn the mod on and off. Two clicks on the mode button to select the cartridge you want to use: single left or right, double, or alternate. The alternating mode is controlled by the circuit after each puff. The LED light accompanies the selected mode, activating on the left, right, together, or alternately. The chipset features the most important safety features and a cut-off that activates after 10 seconds of uninterrupted vaping.
► Eleaf iOre Mix; Final Conclusions:
The system with two independent cartridges is undoubtedly interesting, really fun, and absolutely useful for those who want to use the same device for MTL or RDL with one or two types of e-liquid, either to switch between flavors or to discover new flavor mixes. You can configure the iOre Mix for MTL vaping at around 12W, using only one cartridge at a time. This way, the airflow passes through a single hole and serves the selected cartridge. Alternatively, you can use the iOre Mix in MTL mode, alternating the use of the cartridges after each puff. In alternating mode, the cartridge switches and is always served by its single reference airflow. In this case, the system also operates in single-coil mode. When desired, you can activate both cartridges simultaneously, increasing the output power up to 24W (battery fully charged) and the resistive value settling at approximately 0.5Ω, taking advantage of both airflow channels for the greater airflow required for increased power and RDL vaping. Using two different types of e-liquids together, in MTL or RDL mode, is a world waiting to be discovered, in the sense that each mix can provide good or less pleasant results in terms of flavor rendition. All of this is influenced by several easily understandable variables. Using one e-liquid after the other compulsively risks muddying the flavor, and your taste buds become overwhelmed, especially with strong flavors. However, switching from one e-liquid to the other after a reasonable pause undoubtedly offers interesting results. Naturally, using a single type of e-liquid for both cartridges guarantees a guaranteed flavor outcome. The flavor is faithful, and the performance difference between single and dual coils is noticeable, satisfying the user's preference for one mode or the other (MTL or RDL). The system also ensures good leak resistance without condensation, along with a relatively long cartridge lifespan; after about 50ml of use, the flavor remains good. If you're looking for a pod device that's different from the norm—versatile, practical, and durable all-day, the iOre Mix is ready to become your new favorite pod vaporizer.
Thanks for reading.
