Random DIY mixing and More

Hi, Fran :)

I mixed a few testers today, one was one of those FE Blendz flavors,

Pineapple Peach Mango • FE Blendz tester

Strawberry Cutie • a recipe by jbitts from ELR. Strawberries, creams, shortbread cookie.

Ultimate Cookie test • FJ Ultimates - Sugar Cookie, Cookie Dough, Vanilla Custard.
They sound good.

To Burn or Not to Burn, that is the question

I think you are probably just using too high a wattage 10-15 watts is as high as you need to use unless you are using monster complex coils.
They're the SS clapton wire coils I mentioed in my OP. I've been using 20 watts and pulsing them so as not to whack 'em with current all at once.

To Burn or Not to Burn, that is the question

Anybody got a clue as to what size SS clapton wire I should use for this Fat Rabbit? The wire I bought sure ain't it. The coil that it came with has a three wire core with a single wire wrap, 5 coils, 3.5mm ID and .34 ohms resistance. I tried to use the Steam Engine calculator but can't figure out how to input the dimensions for clapton wire.

Thanks!
Yeah, I've been doing some research on coil builds and have come to the conclusion that I should probably use a little spacing between the coils to avoid cooking the crap out of them.

You need to dry burn ss coils at a lower wattage than kanthal or nichrome. Just pulse lightly until you see no hot spots with a contact coil. If you use a spaced coil you don’t need to pulse more than once or twice just to make sure your metal isn't touching anything it shouldn't.
Thanks!
