That’s a cute way to double taxes. Or more. Tax the products that can also be used for other things, then tax the actual product. That one would hit court in the US.

This mornings coffee, Peet's Major Dickason's Blend (dark roast).

I did note your previous post about Black Rifle coffee, and made a note to try some. I've been a 40 year Peet's direct customer. But, I am always open to trying others strong coffee suggestions.

LOL, I do enjoy a daily cup of quality Black Tea. Typical black tea = ~50mg caffeine p/cup whereas a coffee will range between 90mg-200mg p/cup.

Naturally, immediate spoon dissolution happens at 200mg.

It was not all that long ago that AI generated images were simply blocky, almost abstract depictions that looked like they were created by a child .. maybe a couple years ago ..

Flash forward to now .. Hollywood is up at arms and the entire Music Industry is attempting to figure out how to stop it or limit it .. news flash :: the cats out of the bag ..

Reasoning behind limitations mainly center around bots scouring the Web and lifting bits and pieces of this and that to eventually piece together a video / song / music or what have you .. artists claim that's stealing their material .. well, is it, really .. ??

At this point in culture, most of what's been done has been done before, or at least close .. so, is there really anything truly original left, and is AI any different from a Human lifting bits and pieces of this and that, then putting it together for some sort of entertainment value .. ??

I won't even touch on the aspect of propaganda, since that's a whole can of worms in and of itself ..

Long time since I used this forum again.

So time is approaching when this new tax comes into force in the UK. 1st October 2026 - there will be a 6 month grace period for retailers and small vape shop businesses to sell their old products before the deadline of 1st April 2027.

But any new products they produce strictly for vaping will need to be labelled and stamped from 1st October 2026 - So products like VG/PG/Flavourings that will be used to create vape juice will also have the tax applied to them and obviously the nic shots/salts will always have the tax applied to them.

£2.20per 10ml is what the tax will be.

The government has gone about this the completely wrong way. They should have just taxed the nic shots/salts they could then maybe have made the tax a bit higher maybe like £5per 10ml that would then mean the base juice does not need to have any tax on.

The wording is very precise because it states the VG/PG/Flavourings that is for none vape use will not be subject to the new vape tax. It will only be applied to those base products when they are used to produce vape juice.

I mean honestly it is just insane. I got no idea what I am going to do yet.

So many vape shops and small businesses will go out of business I believe. They will not be able to afford to buy in bulk the vape juice because of the new tax that will be applied to them that was produced and labelled and stamped after 1st October 2026. Any product they had in stock before that date or produced before that date can still be sold at the old prices but only in the 6 month grace period.
