The mode button allows you to turn the device on/off or change the AVATA's power level. Three clicks in succession allow you to select ECO, NOR, or MAX. The difference between the three power settings is clearly noticeable; the ECO setting allows for greater battery life, NOR delivers just the right amount of power, and MAX delivers stronger power, resulting in warmer vapor and a stronger hit. This system has proven to be simple and intuitive for keeping everything under control.
• The ECONOMY power level is associated with the green LED and the word ECO on the display.
• The NORMAL power level is associated with the blue LED and the word NOR on the display.
• The HIGH power level is associated with the red LED and the word MAX on the display.
► Aspire Avata; Adjustable Airflow:
The AVATA was designed as a compact device with a versatile design to support different vaping styles (MTL-RDL). Aspire engineers have designed the AVATA with an air intake that can effectively manage a wide airflow (RDL) when fully open. Furthermore, the easy airflow adjustment allows the user to successfully customize their vaping experience towards MTL vaping. This pre-installed 0.6Ω cartridge, combined with the appropriate power adjustment (ECO, NOR, or MAX), proves to be a valid solution capable of embracing the two different vaping styles (MTL/RDL) based on the user's preferences.
► Aspire Avata; Battery:
The Avata's oval shape ensures a stable base, keeping the mod upright. The base is slightly curved in the center, but this does not significantly affect the Avata's stability when standing. The bottom also features a Type-C 1A charging port, allowing the 1,100mAh battery to be fully charged in approximately 75 minutes. During charging, the display clearly shows the progress, accompanied by an LED that offers a spectacular display of colors. With a 1,100mAh battery, the AVATA manages to maintain compact dimensions despite its enormous 15ml e-liquid tank. The included 0.6Ω cartridge easily lasts a day of vaping, preventing refill anxiety, especially in ECO or Normal mode.
► Aspire Avata; Pod Compartment:
The large pod compartment features two strong magnets that effectively hold the cartridge. The chamber also features the classic floating contacts, which are gold-plated for improved conductivity. There's also a sensor for automatic puff activation, which is also the AVATA's only draw mode. Draw activation is quick and has no response delay, even with the airflow set to its maximum opening.
► Aspire Avata; 15ml Cartridge with E-liquid Valve:
The AVATA disposable cartridge features a thin, comfortable-to-close mouthpiece. The resistive value is printed at the bottom. The pre-installed AVATA disposable cartridge features a built-in 0.6Ω coil. Visibility of the e-liquid level is excellent thanks to the transparency of the cartridge and the large windows on the mod. This cartridge's unique feature is that it incorporates two tanks. The lower tank feeds the coil and has a capacity of 5ml. The upper tank holds a generous 10ml of e-liquid, for a total of 15ml! Using the classic silicone rubber cap on the bottom, you can add 5ml of e-liquid and stop. Or, you can rotate the valve to drain the liquid into the upper tank, continue filling, and obtain 15ml of e-liquid. You can then decide whether to fill the tank partially or fully. While vaping, when the lower tank is empty, you'll need to remove the cartridge from the mod and rotate the lever (E-liquid Valve) to drain the remaining liquid into the 5ml lower tank. This separate tank system has several advantages. The first is that you can have a huge supply of e-liquid and be free to leave bulky bottles at home. Another advantage is that the liquid in the upper tank remains uncontaminated during the vaporization process.
► Aspire Avata; Replacement Cartridges:
There are currently two different replacement cartridges, both with mesh coils. One is the one included in the kit and is the 0.6Ω, while the other is the 0.4Ω cartridge available as a spare.
► Aspire Avata; Final Conclusions:
Realistically, the 1,100mAh battery isn't very large for a massive 15ml tank. Some might argue that the AVATA's 1,100mAh battery isn't sufficient. However, this choice has a valid design rationale: to provide MTL/RDL users with the compact dimensions required for this type of vaping. Ultimately, the battery performs its purpose admirably; with this low-power consumption cartridge (12-16W), it's perfectly capable of supporting the vaper from morning to night, saving them from having to carry bulky bottles of e-liquid in their pockets. Indeed, this is precisely the case; if Aspire's engineers had included a larger battery, this kit would have become a brick, no longer in line with the MTL/RDL vaping philosophy. This AVATA was created with disposable cartridges that are truly interesting for the opportunities they offer in such a small, pocket-sized mod. The "E-liquid Valve" filling system works great both for flavor preservation and obviously for the large E-liquid capacity. The "E-liquid Valve" has also proven to be hermetic without the slightest condensation. With the 0.6Ω cartridge you can achieve a truly restricted MTL vape because by closing the airflow, the extraction becomes highly contrasted to the point of becoming hermetic! With a small airflow opening, the flavor yield and throat hit completely satisfied me, especially in combination with the ECO (14W) and NOR (16W) modes. By adjusting the airflow to the maximum opening, it is better to switch to the MAX (18W) mode to avoid losing too much flavor. Personally, I am eagerly awaiting a version of the AVATA with replaceable coils. In conclusion, I own several vaping kits, but I've noticed that during my outings, AVATA is often becoming my primary choice. So, if you're looking for a convenient, hassle-free vaporizer that lets you leave the traditional e-liquid bottle at home, AVATA is the device you've been looking for.
