Random DIY mixing and More

Good morning, hitt.:) Weather says our 2 days in the 70's are here before we get hot again. I hope they are right. I hope your work has AC.
My shop has ac but I’m in and out throughout the day. I felt like I got run over by a truck this morning when I got up. I went downstairs and did some stretches. It seems like that’s going to be my morning routine for the foreseeable future. I start PT tomorrow.

A regulated squonker…

I had no idea what a task it would be to find one! Every site I’ve checked (that I know of stateside) is out of stock; Vapesourcing messaged me back that they’re discontinued… Really hoping that’s not the case? I’m new to rebuildables, hoping I’m not too late to the party to get my hands on a squonk mod.

How Do You Choose the Right Device?

Pods aimed at MTL typically use 50 mg /ml nic‑salt, five quick puffs usually satisfy cravings for me.

Sub‑ohm DTL tanks run commonly 3 mg/ml freebase. Because they vaporise more liquid per pull. If that feels weak or strong, you can always adjust or puff more: 6 mg freebase or 12 mg salt, for myself i don't really feel strong nic effect from it, it feels like you just absorb nicotine slowly, while the pod make it peak fast, so you notice the effects, but this is my own opinion.
And with DTL you will be making huge clouds, that won't go unnoticed. I was smoking at my car one time and some guy came worried thinking there was something burning inside the vehicle.

I've been vaping 6-10mg in my subohm, but you should start at 3 to test because everyone is different.
Oh, for freebase, anything higher than 4mg will have a strong thoathhit, while 3 is confortable.

My own progress changing from hookah to vape came after several misses. Disposables, Caliburn and XROS never kept me away from hookah, but a sub‑ohm setup finally did. A basic 510 mod such as the Voopoo Drag 5 i got lets you control the wattage for MTL or push higher for DTL then you can just swap the atomiser.
Always start with pre‑made coils, rebuildable decks are great once you enjoy the vape, not before, wicking can frustrate beginners. If i didn't got a Pnp X as part of the voopoo kit i would probaly have walked away from vaping trying to wick the zeus mesh without ever doing anything similar before.
After you learn it is extremely easy, but without reference it is frustrating.

So if you get something similar, they are all almost the same at this price range. You just need something with 510 changable atomizer and eletronic wattage control (stay away from mechanical) then you can test around atomizer if needed, something with 80w limit would already be enough.

Unless the minimalist look from pods like the XROS are a important thing for you.
Or you don't want to spend right now.
But i would start with a disposable if i was thinking about buying a POD.
Sadly there are really few options of diposable that you can try for a DTL feeling, but they exist.

I guess i would always recommend trying a disposable, getting a "pod mod combo like thelema urban or drag x2" or a full mod. But i don't think i would be recommending anyone to start vaping in the end.

Yeah, climate change is no joke... and the weather extremes are just one facet of that.

I have maybe a dozen "funnies" bookmarked to start each day, and I'm often amazed at how relevant at least one is to what's going on in here :)

Morning, all.

Cool times may be shifting back to too hot, but only for a couple days they claim. Uh huh...

Where's "up here"? Yeah, lots of the country is baking, and the prediction is for a "heat dome" to cover even more...

Hope you do recover, Mike, and quickly. Sounds like absolutely no fun!!

Our rapidly changing climate is terrifying… and I’m not made for the heat lol!
That picture has me cackling!

Thank you!
It’s definitely a much needed break from the heat up here too; I missed the windows being open!

What a nightmare! I hope you’re able to get into GI soon, referrals here move at a snails pace (my dad just barely got a call back from the neurology referral sent in a year ago). UTIs are the worst! My wife had a pretty bad one after her bladder sling surgery back in February, the constant catheter afterwards unfortunately guarantees it. I hope you feel better soon, sending you the biggest hug!

I don't like dropping my woes off here but since Janet let the cat out of the bag. The reason I haven't been around much is I've been dang ill for the past couple month's. Started with Norovirus for a week, then a week of recovery. Then a few days later off to my primary. Diagnosed with a UTI and on anti-biotics for 10 days. 2 days after the last pill the UTI is back. Primary says go see a urologist because a.) unusual for a male to get a UTI b.) really unusual to have it recur.

Urologist puts me on a stronger anti-biotic for another week. Seemed to work. but 4 days after that " it's back! ". Then the urologist scopes my urinary track (don't ask me how he got the camera in there). Doesn't find anything wrong and puts me on an even stronger does of antibiotics for a month!.

Asked urologist about the gut problems I'm having. It's like i'm wearing a belt snugged 3 notches too tight and he says go see a GI specialist. The only comfortable position for me is standing up. That would be fine if I were a horse or a heifer. Laying down is tolerable but any sitting position is extremely uncomfortable. So I've been doing two things this past couple month's. Wandering around the house and spending time in bed with a tens unit on my gut.

GI specialist says my stomach is so torn up from the Noro-virus followed by almost 2 month's on antibiotics.

I've had stool samples, urine samples, blood work, X-rays, Cat scans, MRI, cytology, endoscopy, etc, etc. etc. And too many visits to too many doctors. So far besides the UTI's they've only found I've got too much acid in my stomach so I take a pill for that 1/2 hour before eating or drinking anything in the morning.

I'm finally off the antibiotics this past weekend so I'm being optimistic that I'll stop feeling so bad from their side effects and my stomach may finally start to recover. Although that could take month's so says the GI specialist.

Now back to the regular programming for the lounge. I've dumped enough perhaps too much on you all this morning.
