Time for another review from yours truly,thanks to Freemax i get to reviews some of their devices.
Today I'm talking about the Freemax Maxus Solo kit 100w,as per usual let us start with some basics of said kit that will come in the form of images that will at first glance will let you know the type of device we are talking about.

Unboxing and first impressions:
As accustomed with Freemax the box is neatly organized and inside you will find everything you need to start your vaping journey.
Pull out the mod from the box and it just look futuristic,very cool transparent screen where you can see some of the interiors of the mod.
Already reviewed the Maxus Max awhile back so i knew that coil wise i was in for an awesome ride.
The mod itself is just beautiful to look at,nice firm grip and the mod seems like it was designed for my hand.
Putting the mod aside i get pull the Fireluke out and proceed to take it apart to give it a good clean and while at it just examine its build quality.
First fireluke i have ever owned and i gotta say i wasn't disappointed,solid tank that seems durable and strong.
Vaping time:
Ok so i knew the menu was going to take some time to figure out and play around with the LEDS because yeah you read it,it has these awesome LEDS that just light up in multiple ways.
So first thing first,choose a coil,prime it,put it in the tank and let it soak the sweet nectar of the gods.
Decided to start with the preinstalled FL1-D Mesh Coil 0.15ohm,prime coil,insert in tank which is way too easy,no need to turn it around or anything like that just put it in and you all set,fill the tank and let it sit.
Filling the tank couldn't be easier,comes with a child proof system which you need to operate in a certain way so you can refill the tank.
Top cap of the Fireluke has the words ''FreeMax'' on one of the sides,just lift the top and slide forwards with your thumb on where the word Freemax is,easy peasy.
If you're using a bigger e-liquid bottle you might have to remove the drip tip to refill it easier but otherwise it's a pretty simple system when it comes to refilling the tank of the Fireluke.
With this mod you can use 3 different types of battery:
18650 (adapter included)
20700
21700
Time to see how the battery latch operates,just slide your thumb and it will open,insert battery and close it up.
You need to press down and then slide forward to properly close the battery latch,with these type of battery doors i like to do my world renowned slide and tap test.
Pretty simple actually,grab my mouse pad and place it in the center of the table just in front of me,tap the mod gently on the mouse pad then kinda slide it back and forth.
This is to see how well the battery door stays in its place,good news is the battery door stayed where it should with no problems whatsoever.
Menu operation is pretty simple:
-Click the fire button five times to turn it on/off.
-Click fire three times to enter menu mode (blinks over the option that can be adjusted.)
-Use up and down to cycle while in menu mode and fire to select it.
-Use up or down to adjust wattage.
-Hold the up and down to lock the adjustment buttons.
-Use the slider to lock the mod.
-Press down and fire to enter the settings menu.
Time to tackle the menu of the mod,for the usual and vet vaper this menu is just something that feels familiar.
Only options in the menu that are different than others are the ones related to the LED feature of the Freemax Solo.
Fiddled around with the led colors and finally settled in a nice combo between theme of the screen and the LED lights.
Gotta say thou i don't think this LED feature i will be using that often but every once in a while it does feel good to use it.
I've been using it specially at night while watching a movie on my pc or driving around town,looks gorgeous!!
Ok well the coil has been soaking up the e-liquid so it should be ready to go,screw the Fireluke in (correct ohm reading,exactly as stated on the coil) and time to vape it baby!!
As per usual i started at low wattage to break in the coil but from the first puffs in i could tell this coil was going to need some serious wattage to strut its stuff.
Unfortunately the preinstalled FL1-D Mesh Coil 0.15ohm was a dud,getting some spitback all the time...not much but enough to make it uncomfortable to use.
Before tossing out the coil i thought i would take apart the tank and make sure all the orings where properly in their place and i put it all back together again...and same result.
Decided to take out the FL2 mesh coil 0.2 ohm and proceeded to run the same ritual,prime and let it sit in the tank for 15 minutes at least.
15 minutes up so let us see how it goes...yep i positively the first coil was a dud,this 0.2 ohm FL2 Mesh coil is out of this world.
You really haven't vaped until you have tried a coil from Freemax,these guys are pros in the coil department (and mods too hehe)
Package arrived tuesday morning,set up the Maxus Solo on Wednesday morning and i have been using that coil non stop and today Monday it is still going strong.
Ok let us discuss the LEDS,well some may like them others may no,but rest assured there is an option in the menu to turn them off if you desire to do so.
If you're really into LEDS you actually have a DIY color option where you can come up with your new combo of different colors,nice choice to have for those into LED lights.
For everyday use this mod is phenomenal,since you can fit a 21700 battery you can walk around all day and not have to worry about your battery...well that is a bit of a overstatement.
Just saying because this combo of tank and coil will use up a lot of e-liquid but in my honest opinion it is totally worth,flavor alone makes this a non issue.
Now when it comes to reviews i always try to be honest,wouldn't feel right just saying everything is copacetic when it really isn't.
The fire button? Yeah not a fan,does look good because of its rectangular shape but when firing it just feels a tad odd...might be my big thumb thou,got big hands so that might be the culprit.
Apart from that the button just feels ''stiff'',sometimes my thumb would just come off and then it would cut my inhale half way.
Trying out the Marvus X at the moment and i wish the button were the same,square button and not as stiff.
Pros
-Awesome design on both the mod and tank
-LEDs are top notch quality,really bright with a lot of customization options
-Solid battery door
-Easy menu to navigate
-Very good tank
-Easy to remove and place coils
-Aesthetic wise the front plate is really cool
-Big bright screen
-Durable mod and well designed
-For a mod that uses a 21700 battery it is not that big
Cons
-Fire button,not a fan...way to stiff for my taste and it's rectangular shape doesn't feel right when pressing on it
-All different colors that you have when it comes to the mod come with the same color of tank (black),would have been nice to have a tank that matches the mod
Would i recommend this kit:
Based on aesthetics alone the answer is a resounding yes,if you add the quality and performance of both the tank and the mod then you get another yes.
Add in to the fact the supreme quality of the coils from Freemax then that is another yes, you got a kit that will serve you well.
