GEN PT60 Pod Kit: Vaporesso GEN PT60 Pod Mod Kit

Hi again, everybody! Today I have the Vandy Vape Pyro V4 RDTA which Sourcemore sent me for the purpose of this review.




Previously, I reviewed the Pyro V2 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The V4 offers the same great flavor and vapor production but is easier to use.

Included in the accessories is a squonk pin. I haven’t used it yet because the 5ml tank is plenty, but I’m glad to have it and surely will put it to use.



The reason I said this version is easier to use than the V2 is this cap is blank inside. It has no posts to match up with holes in the deck, it just pops right on any old way. And the nice chunky knurling on top makes it super easy to adjust the airflow. Plus this deck is very roomy. It probably would do alright with a single coil, but I feel like dual coils are really the way to go here, unless you like a monster coil.



This one is a side fill, and the port is one of those really tiny ones, so you will need a needle-nosed bottle to fill it. That’s not my favorite thing, but it does work well and I’ve had no leaking.




There are two large air holes, and it closes down surprisingly tightly. The cap spin is firm, and I do not have any unintentional adjustments. Very nice, smooth air, even fully open. The air comes in through the sides, under the deck, and completely surrounds the coils from all sides and below. The deck is postless and the screws are big, beefy Phillips heads. Super easy to put coils in. And at 25.5mm wide, there’s plenty of room. I’ve got two 3.0mm ID coils in it and they’re not crowded at all.



The included coil guide is marked at 8mm. That seemed extreme to me so I cut mine at 6.5. I now think 8mm would have been fine, as there is a lot of clearance in the cap. But I’m getting a very satisfying amount of flavor and vapor as-is, and I think it’s a little cooler with the extra distance.



I can’t find anything to dislike about this RDTA. What some might call cons can be someone else’s pro. I mean, it’s wide. It won’t fit on every mod. But the width allows for it to hold a reasonable amount of juice without being quite a bit taller – unlike some RDTAs, the V4 looks pretty proportionate. And I’m not a fan of the tiny side fill, but it does work just fine without leaking, and eliminates the need for cap posts to plug deckside fill holes. It doesn’t have wicking rods, which I do like, but that do make it more fiddly to assemble, and also take up valuable juice real estate. So if it needs a little swish once in a while that’s not a deal-breaker for me. I haven’t gotten any dry hits.

► Innokin Klypse Kit; First Impressions:
For this Klypse test I received the versions in "Scarlet" and "Charcoal" colors I like both, but also the remaining colors are all beautiful and guess because being in solid color, in my opinion they go well with a simple and minimalist device like this.
Innokin Klypse Kit is clearly designed to capture entry-level users who often look for devices with simple shapes and minimal maintenance.

The magnetic top cap is a clever gimmick to keep the place where the lips rest clean, so all that remains is to engage the cap when storing the device in your pocket or bag. Once the cap is removed, it can be placed on the bottom of the mod and two powerful magnets hold it effectively, thus avoiding losing it on the road.





In the hand it literally disappears if you use Klypse without a hygienic hood (as in the first photo below), in fact the device is so compact that for a better feeling I prefer to use it with the hood attached to the bottom. Like Innokin's previous Pod devices this one too has an elegant design and its aluminum body provides a quality feel without being too heavy. In addition, the very slim form factor with rounded sides gives it remarkable ergonomics.





► Innokin Klypse Kit; Details:
The chamber that houses the cartridge has; two magnets, two gold-plated contacts and the airflow sensor for automatic puff. The attachment of the cartridge to these magnets is effective and to remove the cartridge you need to pull firmly. In turn, the hygienic cap fits perfectly on the cartridge and once removed it can be hooked to the two magnets that are present on the bottom of the Mod. The support base with its generous footprint on the ground guarantees Klypse good vertical stability both with or without cap.



► Innokin Klypse Kit; Disposable Pod:
The cartridge included in the kit is made of transparent PCTG and is equipped with a reference notch for the minimum level of e-liquid and an adhesive stamp on the bottom to prevent the coil from activating involuntarily during transport. The 0.8Ω "superfine" Mesh coil is integrated into the cartridge and is fed with air through two small holes on the klypse body. The MTL-type Puff feels loose and goes well with the constant power of 16W that the battery can deliver.

The lower base of the cartridge has two magnets, two gold-plated contacts and the airflow channel for automatic shooting operation.

The silicone fill cap is located on the thinner side of the cartridge and an arrow indicates which side to lift the cap from. The filling port is wide enough to easily introduce 2ml of e-liquid with most of the bottles on the market.







► Innokin Klypse Kit; Led and Type-C charging:
On the Mod they are shown laterally; the brand (Innokin) and the name (Klypse) through vertical white writings. Just above the word "Innokin" there is a hidden LED that is activated during the Vaping and during recharging. Above "Klypse" is the USB-C charging port which is capable of recharging the 700mAh battery in less than an hour.



► Innokin Klypse Kit; Final conclusions:
I start with the only aspect that does not convince me and I am talking about the LED indicator which is equipped with a single white light indicator and which does not change its signals until the battery level drops to 10% of residual charge.

Everything else satisfied me and I'm talking about a type of project intended for the entry-level range and that any beginner is able to use.
The chipset is equipped with multiple security protections. The power of 16W seems constant until the end of the battery charge and the disposable cartridge gives a good flavor to my creamy e-liquid. The puff of Klipse is only automatic and the sensor is activated perfectly and effortlessly offering an MTL vape (not too restricted). The air flow to the coil seems to me perfectly calibrated for the constant power of 16W that Klypse offers. After a few days of use and rest, the Puff is always fluid, regular and free of spitting, the condensation that forms in the compartment / pod is minimal, almost non-existent.

Would I recommend Innokin Klypse? Definitely yes for those looking for a vaporizer built in a simple but robust way that offers maximum portability and good hygienic protection thanks to the magnetic cap. It will not be difficult to be satisfied with Klypse and the good MTL performance of its disposable cartridge with integrated Mesh Coil.

Today I will be taking a look at the new Voopoo Argus Pod kit that was sent to me by Voopoo in order to provide a fair and honest review. This one is the second version I believe of the Argus Air pod. It’s been so long ago, I honestly don’t remember if I reviewed that one but I don’t think that I did. The new Argus Pod kit has an 800mah internal battery with an output range of 5-20 watts. It has airflow and power adjustment which is a win, win in my book and uses a USB-C charging port. The kit includes two pods at .7 ohm and 1.2 ohm and each has a liquid capacity of 2ml which seems to be the norm with many pod devices. Before I get too much into it, let’s see what’s included and take a look at the promotional images.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the Argus Pod is similar to the Drag Q where instead of having an outer sleeve and a box top to remove, there is a pull tab and the kit sitting inside the tray simply slides out. The front of the box shows a nice picture of the device but not necessarily the same color as what’s inside along with some different color wavelength lines. The back side of the box shows the contents list, authenticity code, color label for the device, and company information.

Once the tray is slid out then the Pod device and two pods are seen under the user manual and included paperwork. I have to say that when I first saw the Argus that I was impressed with the brown leather and how nice it looked. Along with the mod is one each of a .7 and 1.2 ohm pod. That’s how it should be done with including two pods. I’ve reviewed a handful of pod devices that have only come with one pod and never agree with that.







The pods for the Argus kit are side filled and the rubber stoppers seem soft and flexible. The stopper can be rotated out of the way for filling which is a nice feature. The pods are disposable and do not have replaceable coils. I like very much that the pods are nearly clear and the liquid level is very easily seen. There’s also an arrow on the fill plugs that tells you which side to pull from. It might seem like a silly thing but I have pulled a fill plug completely out of a pod one time that wasn’t clearly marked.

The bottom of the pod has four airflow holes to provide plenty of airflow to the user if they so desire. The pods are held in securely with two magnets inside the pod opening of the mod. The bottom of the pod almost looks like the coil should be replaceable but isn’t.

The pod opening in the mod has two gold plated contacts as well as two magnets to secure the pods. Also is the airflow opening that allows the air to be drawn in depending where the airflow on the mod is set. It is a simple sliding airflow mechanism and there are four lines on the mod to indicate where you are setting it. This is nice so you can take a quick look to see where you have it set.








Both sides of the mod have a very nice leather insert. The Argus name is on one side along with the sliding airflow adjuster and Voopoo is stamped on the other side with the Gene chip name printed on the body. The metal portion of the body is made of a zinc alloy. It has a really nice feel in the hand and the aesthetics are very nice.






Next up is the display screen on one side. Yes, you heard me right. Voopoo managed to fit a .69” display screen into this tiny pod mod. It amazes me how so many things can fit into such a small case. Besides the screen there is a small button below the screen. There are actually two sets of displays and you can switch between them by pressing that button. Both screens show the battery level indicator as well as percentage of remaining battery. One shows the puff counter and how many minutes the Argus has been activated. The second screen shows the set wattage, output voltage, and coil resistance. I think all of this information in such a small device is quite an accomplishment. When I first opened the package I thought what a nice looking device but would not have guessed initially that it would include a display screen.

The interface operation is as follows.

- Press the button 5X to turn the device on

- To switch between the two displays press the button once

- To change the output, long press the button while in the power screen. Then push the button to scroll through the available wattage settings.

- Once the device is on, press the button 5X to enter the menu screen where you can activate a Child Lock, clear the Puff counter, or turn off the device.






The charging port on this one is on the bottom. I think that’s as good of a place as any on a device like this. It’s small and lightweight enough that if it was on the side then it still probably wouldn’t stand up while plugged in. The 1250mah battery seemed to charge pretty quickly. I had it run down most of the way and it charged back up in about an hour.



FINAL THOUGHTS:

To me the Argus Pod is a winner. It has an attractive appearance as well as having all of the features I look for in a pod and some I didn’t expect to find on a small pod device like this such as a two screen display. It has a nice weight to it being made from zinc alloy as well as embossed leather on both sides.

I personally didn’t like the 1.2 ohm pod. There wasn’t anything wrong with it but it just didn’t fit my style of vaping. I kept feeling like I wanted higher watts than what the mod would let me set. It cut off at 13 watts. I looked in the manual but didn’t find a way to bypass the smart function. I found that if I closed the airflow most of the way then it was a little better but then I got a whistling sound from the airflow.

The .7 ohm pod was a much better fit for me. I ended up liking at the full output of 18 watts and had the airflow control about half open. This provided good flavor production and plenty of vapor. If I was going to buy more pods for future use then this is the one I would get.

So, you might wonder if I would recommend the Voopoo Argus pod for you. If you’re looking for a small pod device that’s great for carrying in a pocket or purse and performs well then this might be a good fit for you. So, I've been smoking camel menthol silver for years now and I'm trying to find a vape juice similar with no luck so far.
Ive tried numerous vape juices but most of them are way too sweet.
I don't want a sweet mint!
Imo, the camels aren't peppermint-y. They're true menthol and they're far from sweet. Regardless, if anyone has any suggestions, please lmk!
