I started vaping with a JUUL (don't judge me) but quickly switched to the Vertipod by Vertigo Vapors. These tests below only note my personal ESTIMATED ratings for the batteries I tested at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, or Sanyo can change at any time! This is one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers so carefully research any battery you are considering using before purchasing.

Misusing or mishandling lithium-ion batteries can pose a SERIOUS RISK of property damage, personal injury, or even death. They are not supposed to be used outside of a fully protected battery pack and you use them at your own risk. Never exceed the battery’s true continuous current rating and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.




Test Results
This is a an averaging performing high-capacity cell, about equal to the LG MJ1 down to 3.2V. The Molicel M35A and Sanyo NCR18650GA perform a bit better but this cell should be available at a lower price which could make it the better choice for cost-sensitive applications.

While the datasheet gives it a 6.4A continuous current rating and a 9.6A temperature-limited current rating (never let it get hotter than 60°C) I recommend staying under 5A or so to reduce the amount of voltage sag and to increase cell life. This is my standard recommendation for any over-3000mAh 18650.

The two cells I tested delivered 2894mAh and 2919mAh, failing to meet its 3000mAh minimum capacity rating. I am rating them at 2900mAh.

I received SO MUCH help and advice a year ago in regards to stocking up, and what to stock up on for external battery mods for when my small stash of EVODs run out. Its a long thread, but so full of valuable information. I have been back to it numerous times in the past year to re-read and make sure I knew what I was doing when this day came!

I have been mixing my own juice for a while now and that is going good. easy peezy. Still trying to get the menthol flavor just right though. It is still a bit too weak on the menthol but its getting very close. I keep ordering different brands to try out.

I finished purchasing the last few items I needed (batteries and battery chargers) and then just waited for my EVODs to start running low.

I am still very nervous about advancing to using rechargeable 18650 batteries, but today I put one in an Aspire CF Mod with a Nautilus 2 tank and started using it. Love it! I have a couple months worth of the Evods left still, but I am going to start using the CF mod away from home. I am hoping I can get a full day out of it. I am so tired of having to carry so many Evod batteries to get through the day, and to have to charge a minimum of 3 Evod batteries each day! By the time I get home from work I have 2-3 dead batts to plug in and charge! And by then I have only vaped during the drive to/from work and on my 3 breaks! So I will only use those at home now until their used up and take the CF on the go.

I'm new to this cannabis vaping, not completely as I've tried some old devices many years ago and it was a let down.
I want a sub 75 solar 510 atomizer that's really good for dry herb and easy to clean and if I can do my own coils even better like on ecig rtas.
If the device has a coil separated from the bucket, only in contact to heat it, that would be the better option, I think the dtv4 is like that but ain't sure and can't find that in the reviews I've looked. If it had a bucket for herb and other for wax / oil or even hash it would be great.

Any advices? Please I stoped smoking 5 years ago but still then restarted smoke cannabis and that brought with it the lung and palate complications that smoking has.

I have been vaping the same e juice for FOREVER! (former Marlboro Menthol Lights Analog Smoker) Sadly, the laws in the state I was ordering that juice from changed and I can no longer get my e juice from them. I'm using an Innokin Ares-2 Mouth To Lung.

I was vaping Vaporall Menthol Ice : high VG, light to medium menthol flavor, very mild sweetness.

I have tried Halo Menthol Ice. Didn't really like it. Too powerful for me. I tried Vista Vapors Icy Menthol. It was too minty not menthol enough.

I did have some Nicquid Mintiod. It was ok...also a little more minty less menthol, but it had the sweetness I liked.

So I am trying to find something as close to the juice I have been vaping for the last 8 years that I can no longer use. (My heart is seriously broken and I am feeling a little freaked out that I won't find something I like as much).

PLEASE give me recommendations. I am looking for something mild but with full menthol flavor, mild sweetness, NOT too MINTY. Not sure about any tobacco flavoring either, since what I have been vaping was not tobacco flavored.

► Aspire Zelos X Kit; First impressions:
Aspire Zelos X looks very similar to Dicodes Dani Micro Mod, in shape but also in size and weight. This makes Zelos X Mod certainly attractive considering the purchase price clearly in favor of Aspire. Clearly the Zelos X chipset is much more basic but it is always among the best among the economic ones both for performance and equipment. Speaking of construction materials, Aspire has certainly not spared. The main body is made of aluminum alloy by oxidation process, the top and bottom covers are made of zinc alloy, the battery cap and 510 cup are made of stainless steel by electroplating process, the two Drip tips are made of POM . Furthermore the Nautilus 3²² is a gorgeus Tank, robust and reliable. The change of the coils can also take place with the tank full of liquid and without spilling a drop. The AFC system allows for wide use ranging from narrow MTL to rather airy RDL.





► Aspire Zelos X Kit; 360 ° view:
To describe the design of this Mod is quite easy; they are simply two joined tubes which, seen from above or from below, recall the shape of the "number 8", for this reason Zelos X enhances ergonomics to the maximum. On the side the Mod only shows the word "Zelos X" .

On the front there are the Fire button and the adjustment buttons "+ and -" all three of metal consistency, precise in movement and easily accessible. In the center there is the 0.96 color screen with enlarged fonts that facilitate reading, the data represented are; battery level, mode, wattage, voltage, amper, resistance, puff.





The ergonomic "8" shape is clearly distinguishable by observing the Mod from below and from above. The 510 steel plate is screwed with 3 French screws, the gold-plated pin is of the floating type and Tanks up to 24.5mm in diameter can be installed without protrusions.

The external battery is installable in the lower part of the Mod. The compartment is accessed through a ventilated cap. On the bottom there is also the USB-C type charging socket.



► Aspire Zelos X Kit; 18650 battery:
The cap thread is smooth and well made. The polarities for the correct insertion of the 18650 battery are clearly marked both on the inside of the cap and inside the Mod.



► Tank Nautilus 3²²:
The smaller scale version of the Nautilus 3 Tank has a 3ml e-liquid capacity, a diameter of 22mm and retains all the best features of the previous version. Nautilus 3²² has an adjustable AFC ring with end stops with a knurled surface for good finger grip.
Multiple AFC adjustments are possible, the diameter of the holes to regulate the passage of air towards the coil is: 3.0, 2.5, 1.8, 1.5, 1.2, 1.0 and 0.8mm, this system with holes compared to a slot system guarantees for the MTL a smoother air path and greater adjustment accuracy.



The "massive" construction in SS of this tank offers higher quality even towards the Nautilus GT. With the Nautilus 3 and Nautilus 3²² further steps forward have been made ... In fact, we find the simplicity of refilling with the precise and well-braked "slide" opening of the Top-cap, up to the innovative coil change system called "press -fit "which makes the replacement of the resistance extremely quick and safe even in the presence of liquid in the tank. The antileaking system uses a bulkhead inside the tank that rises when the coil is inserted, otherwise during the extraction of the coil the bulkhead is lowered, preventing liquid from escaping.





► Tank Nautilus 3²²; Compatible coils:
Inside the package there are two coils; a new 1.0Ω Mesh Coil with 13-15W range of kanthal AF material for MTL use and a modern coil 0.3Ω 23-28W Range with stainless steel Mesh material. The resistance is suitable for RDL use in combination with the larger holes of the AFC.
* Nautilus 3²² Tank is compatible with all previous coils for Nautilus and Triton Mini.



► Aspire Zelos X Mod; Operation Guide:
• Power On / Off: Press the Fire button 5 times
• Lock or unlock the "+" and "-" buttons: Press the "+" and "-" buttons simultaneously. When the "+" and "-" buttons are locked, only the Fire button works.
• Lock or unlock the device: Press the Fire button 3 times
• Screen Brightness Adjustment: Press the Fire and "-" buttons simultaneously
• Menu Access: Press the Fire button and the "+" button at the same time. Press "+" / "-" buttons to select output mode among WATT, VOLTAGE, BYPASS, CPS, TC-NI / TC-TI / TC-SS, then press Fire button for 1.5S to confirm.
* In BYPASS mode, the device delivers with a constant 4V output.
* In CPS mode, press the Fire button to select P1 / P2 / P3 / P4 / P5, then press the "+" / "-" buttons to select the power from P1 to P5 for your custom output curve.
* In TC mode, you can adjust 1 ° C / 1 ° F step by step from 200-600 ° F to 100-315 ° C

► Final conclusions and Vaping test:
Zelos X Mod has several strengths; a truly ergonomic Premium appearance, compact size and a reliable chipset with which to start your first TC experiences. However, its strong point are undoubtedly the other modes, with the possibility of customizing the curve boost with the CPS. Battery management is very good and the DC-DC storage converter with an output voltage higher than the input allows Step-Up even with a semi-discharged battery.

The Nautilus 3²² Tank is a mature product, equipped with a valuable anti-leaking system and an AFC with a particularly wide adjustment, it also offers full compatibility with all Nautilus and Triton coils, allows the entry-level user to customize the own experience to eventually find your own vape style.

• Mesh Coil 0.3Ω Range 23-28W:
This aggressive resistance with Stainless Steel Mesh seems made just for my RDL Vaping style (I love this coil). In combination with the larger air passage hole (3mm), I was able to get a truly satisfying RDL vape already starting at 23W of power. The perceived flavor increases by raising the Watts and even at 28W the resistance does not seem to suffer. However common sense tells me not to use it over 25W, I have had confirmation from the fact that after about two weeks of use its performance is still excellent. During use with this Coil I often select other holes of the AFC, so to have more Hits and more heat I sometimes choose the medium 1.5mm hole with satisfaction.

• Mesh Coil 1.0Ω Range 13-15W:
This Mesh Coil in kanthal AF has been defined by someone as the best resistance produced by Aspire, in my opinion it worthily replaces the 1.8 BVC for the MTL vape which remains the most suitable for tobacco base liquids. The 1.0Ω Mesh Coil guarantees incredible responsiveness already starting from 13W. The amount of vapor is truly remarkable with a warm and fluid Puff, the Mesh emphasizes the perception of sweetness in the liquids used. It consumes a lot and can be effectively adjusted in restrict MTL, by selecting the smallest AFC holes. However, thanks to its characteristics it defends itself very well in RDL with 1.5mm or 1.8mm holes selected. The duration of this resistance has been defined by many users as optimal and on a par with the best and longest-lived resistances made by Aspire for the Nautilus over the years.
