Hello and welcome back for today's review of the Voopoo Doric 20 that was sent to me for review from Voopoo. This is a very simple and easy to use AIO having no display screen or wattage adjustments other than it's 3 power levels of LOW, MED, and HIGH just like it's big brother the DORIC 60 that I recently reviewed, if you missed it I will leave it's review link here

Just like it's big brother the Doric 20 rest in a plastic tray housed inside a box with the charge cord, user manual, and both coils in a separate box that is fitted underneath the tray that the Doric 20 is in.
I received the Gray colored one that is of a lighter shade of Grey than the Doric 60 that was sent earlier. The color is kind of metallic that has a shimmer to it and looks attractive to me.
Picking the device up it's lack of weight was a nice touch though I thought it would be fairly light. The pod ships without a coil pre-installed and when I tried to pull the pod off the Doric it took considerable force to release it from the device, no magnets are used to hold the pod in place but rather 2 small tabs located 180° from each other that slip over a thin metal band at the connection point.
This pod is a side-fill that located toward the bottom with a fill plug that is very thin but easy to open by sliding your finger across it, the fill port isn't the largest and I wouldn't recommend using a glass dripper bottle tip to fill but 100ml tips work fine.
The mouthpiece is part of the pod so there is no putting on your own drip tips but it's a true MTL mouthpiece that narrow enough to get the job done while being comfortable as well.
Voopoo has a new coil that's used in the Doric 20 pod called the ITO coil that is a mesh style on both the 1.0Ω and 1.2Ω.These coils are the push in type with 2 flat sides that have to be matched to the flat sides of the pod when installing the coil in the pod.
These new ITO mesh coils although similar in diameter have different air supply openings from each other. The 1.2Ω mesh coil has 4 separate air holes to channel airflow while the 1.0Ω mesh coil uses 2 slots 180° apart from each other. Both coils produce pretty good flavor but the 1.0Ω produces more vapor with a slightly looser draw, don't get me wrong these are both MTL coils and work well but you can get a very very tight RDL vape with the 1.0Ω with all 3 air holes open on the airflow control if that's what you like.
Just like the Doric 60 does the Doric 20 gives you a choice to either use the fire button or you can use the auto-draw feature that it has. I feel that the auto-draw is better on the Doric 20 than the 60, it really works very well and I've been forcing myself to not use the button because I prefer to Button fire and the auto-draw has fired every time.
Inside the connection spot of the pod/device are 2 gold colored spring loaded contact pins to connect to the coil and between them underneath the metal support rim lies the auto-draw air nozzle tube.
Turning to the bottom of the device Voopoo put a rubber bumper on the protect the finish if of desk or table which it does do but it also can make it prone to tip over if the table or desk it's sitting on is bumped, even sitting it down it wobbles for a second.
I always keep my eyes on the juice level and always refill when juice in the tank reaches half, so laying it down is not a issue for me besides the airflow control lever and fire button stick out just enough to prevent it from rolling off any surface it's laid on. There are 2 ventilation holes in the center for battery safety.
On the Doric 20 there is adjustable airflow via 3 airflow holes and each hole is a different size, that should make most MTL vapers happy providing differing selections. The first air hole that is closest to the airflow control lever is the smallest with the next being slightly larger and the next one being the largest of all three.
You can get the auto-draw to engage even fully closed so some air is still flowing but nobody would vape it that way, way to tight ( eyes popping out tight ), the type-c charge port location is underneath the airflow selector.
Fully open it's a loose MTL and with 2 holes it becomes a somewhat tight MTL vape, 1 holes makes it super tight, my preferred setting is 2 holes open. Auto-draw works very well on all airflow selections.
The Doric 20 has a very tiny but bright LED light right above the fire button that illuminates when vaping or charging, this LED light has 2 functions, 1 function is to select your power level of which there are 3 and they are color coded, you battery strength corresponds to the colors as well. When charging the LED will breathe on and off until fully charged where it will remain solidly lit. Turned on/off is done as most devices by pressing the fire button quickly 5 times, once on 3 quick presses of the fire button will change your power level, each time you press the fire button 3 times the power level will change.

USING THE DORIC 20
I really like the metallic color that sort of shimmers in some lighting, this light Grey finish isn't slippery at all and hold very well in the hand.
In the week I've been using it I haven't had any leaking from either coil, I will say the 1.2Ω really drops in the vapor production from the 1.0 Ω coil but that's not a bad thing in fact it's been beneficial to me this week, I had to spend a number of hours in a place that was to far away from outside doors and there was no place to have a vape except a very small rest room that had staff coming and going , but I managed to hide my vaping in there because of the 1.2Ω coil without getting caught.
The 1.2 is a good coil with good flavor but not as good as the 1.0 that became my favorite of the two, but I thought it would before even trying them because I like a warm vape and the 1.0 coil satisfied me more. Throat hit was good for both as well.
I did not get a full day of battery life but more like 5 or 6 hours of heavy use, flavor was so good that I left my standard mod and RTA at home and just brought the Doric 20 and another pod system from another manufacturer to work for the week of testing, this is something I never do.
In closing I think Voopoo did a great job on the Doric 20 and the new ITO coils perform very well, the auto-draw actually works great on the device in any airflow setting selected.
Having the 3 airflow choices is a big plus there's actually more than 3 if you close the holes down in slivers. I think every MTL vaper should be able to find a setting that they like on the Doric 20. I will 100% recommend the Doric 20 for a half a day of heavy vaping and being that it charges fully in about 1 hour you wont be down for long.
I would like to thank Aimer and Voopoo for providing the Doric 20 for the purpose of this review, if your in the market for a AIO that has good flavor producing coils with adjustable airflow options and is a true MTL AIO get yourselves one, it's a winner.
THANK YOU
