Wotofo Disposables Review: Wafer, Mini +, Airy

The Wotofo Disposables: Wafer, Mini +, and Airy!

Hello vaping community! My name is Jen, with you folks today on my very first review here on ECF! I am aiming to provide you guys with an overview and user feedback of the latest disposable devices from Wotofo: the Wafer, Mini +, and Airy. These are kindly sent to me for review by Wotofo (thank you, Cara!).

Wotofo is a hugely popular manufacturer of vape devices. They have been around since 2012 and are one of the oldest mainstream vape companies in the industry. The have released many successful devices, including my go-to RDA for flavour, the Profile RDA. In recent years, they seem to also be involved with or a part of Smok and OFRF; for example, the Nexmesh sub-ohm tank was released as by both Wotofo and OFRF. But for today, we are going to be looking at something more simple than RDAs and sub-ohm atomisers, in these latest disposable devices from Wotofo.

Before going further, I do want to sort of address the elephant in the room, as we are indeed talking about disposables. I know that their rise and use is a polarising topic within the community for lots of different reasons. Some laud their simplicity and convenience especially for new switchers, whereas some are more concerned about their potential negative effects, of which there’s many to list including impact to the environment and to the industry as a whole. Whichever side of the argument we may be in, disposable devices are now in the market, and not all are made equal. And it is from this lens that I am sharing my experience about these new disposable kits from Wotofo, so that real world feedback about these is shared within the community.

My review will be from my own experience of using these devices in everyday life as a regular vaper.

Wotofo Wafer

Quick specs:

- 13 x 20 x 105 mm, kind of looks like a tall highlighter.

- 400 mAh battery

- Made from SS304 and food-grade PC

- Having a 1.6 ohms wire coil

- 2mL e-liquid volume and claims to have a 575 puff-life.

The Wafer has that classic disposable device form factor but with Wotofo’s style added to it. Its inner body has the brand, flavour and other information printed on it, and is then encased in a transparent plastic shell. This change in look alone makes it stand out from the sea of other disposable brands in the market and makes it undeniably a Wotofo creation (regardless of the huge branding Wotofo are known for).

It’s a simple pull and puff type of device without any extra features such as airflow control, rechargeable battery, or refillable pod. The device is responsive- one can generate a puff with its comfortable duckbill-type mouthpiece even with a slight pull. The draw is what I would characterise as medium MTL, with the air coming from the bottom where the white LED indicator light is also located. All in all, it’s a simple as simple can get and would be a good recommendation for the most basic of starter devices/disposables.

It comes in a variety of flavours, and I was sent these flavours: Strawberry Banana Ice, Strawberry Ice Cream, Mango Peach Pineapple Ice, Watermelon Ice, Blueberry Raspberry Ice. Sensing the common theme of “ice” from the flavours I received, I admit that I had some hesitation going in because I typically don’t favour any cooling or menthol in my e-liquids. To my surprise though, these tasted really good and on-point, even the Ice Cream variety. Sure, the cooling is there but it is not overwhelming the main flavour notes. I can only really sense the cooling at the end of the puff. It also doesn’t linger which is a pro for a cooling-averse person like me. All in all, I was very pleased with the Wotofo Wafer.

Did it last the advertised 575 puffs though? Well, not really. But we have to remember that the number of puffs depend on how hard we pull as well, and I do take deep pulls most of the time. I used these mostly in the mornings whilst working, and it did last me about 4 days before the LED light started blinking (that’s how the device tells you that it’s reached the end of its life). Still, this is better than others I have been asked to sample and so I was pleased with the lifespan of the Wafer.

Wotofo Mini +

Quick specs:

- 14 x 102 mm. The Mini + is of a cylindrical shape as compared to the rectangular Wafer.

- 500 mAh battery

- Made from SS304 and food-grade PC

- Having a 1.6 ohms wire coil

- 2mL e-liquid volume and claims to have a 575 puff-life.

The Mini + has that common pen-style form factor most disposables have. Compared to the Wafer, it is slightly smaller but does pack more battery life in it. The branding and product information are all printed on the outer shell. It also has a duckbill-style mouthpiece, albeit a little narrower than the Wafer’s. Nonetheless, I found the mouthpiece comfortable to use.

One big difference from the Wafer is that the Mini + has adjustable airflow at the bottom where the white LED indicator light is also placed. The airflow control is on a raised slider, and one can go from a loose MTL (a restricted direct lung hit is also possible if one so chooses) all the way to a very tight MTL. I really like the addition of this feature as this allows the user to truly tailor the draw they want from the device. Again, it’s a very responsive kit that just runs on auto-draw.

It comes in a wide selection of flavours as well, and I was sent the Grape Ice, Blueberry Raspberry Ice, Strawberry Ice Cream, Strawberry Banana Ice, and Mango Peach Pineapple Ice. As with the Wafer, I had the same misgivings upon reading the flavour names (even if they’re similar to the Wafer ones I received, they could still taste different) but I was also well impressed with the taste of these Mini + flavours sent to me. They are all pleasing to vape from a taste perspective. Overall, I was quite happy with the Mini +, and I prefer this one slightly over the Wafer purely because of the airflow control.

As for puff-life, the Mini + fared around the same as the Wafer (see the reasoning I gave above).

Wotofo Airy

Quick specs:

- 28 x 113.6 mm. This one is a fat and round tube!

- 850 mAh battery

- Made from SS304 and food-grade PC

- Having a 0.6 ohms mesh coil

- 12mL e-liquid volume and claims to have a 1000 puff-life.

- Has a micro-USB port at the bottom

Basing on the specs, you may already be able to tell that the Airy is not your run-of-the-mill MTL disposable. This is, in fact, a direct to lung (DTL) disposable! This is the first time I have used a dedicated DTL disposable, and very likely the only pure DTL disposable I know of that is currently in the market.

The device itself is again covered in Wotofo branding and device information. It is comfortable enough to use with its wide-bore, cylindrical drip tip. But its size is on the large side and so other people may find it to be strange-looking and bulky to be walking around with. It is not heavy at all though, owing to the materials used to build this kit.

Engaging the auto-draw (it has no buttons anywhere for an alternative firing method) in MTL will be challenging, and so I would recommend this device for DTL vaping only. You’d need to do a true DTL pull to get a satisfying puff out of this kit. But when you do though, it does actually chuck a sizeable amount of clouds! The mesh coil gives great flavour, albeit the vape will not be a typical warm DTL vape we are familiar with, and this makes sense given the battery and liquid capacity of the kit. It has no airflow control, and this is something that I wish Wotofo did add to this device to give it some versatility.

The puffs do wane a little bit with diminishing battery life, especially as this device doesn’t have power regulation, but it does charge quick enough. It charged to full at about 40 minutes of being plugged in.

I received the Granny Smith, Hawaiian Punch, and Tropical Fruit Gummy flavours. As with the other flavours I tried of these Wotofo disposables, I have no complaints about the taste of them at all.

But as a whole and even though I am not a pure DTL vaper, I did enjoy using this device and by quite a lot. I can see its appeal to the DTL market as they may not be considered by traditional disposables, the latter catering mostly for the MTL vapers.

All of these disposables will come in a variety of nicotine salt strengths depending on your region.

Final Thoughts:

I did genuinely have a pleasant experience using these Wotofo disposables. Having tested my fair share of them, I can tell that their quality is superior from some of the other brands I’ve tried. Also, with the release of the Airy, I was happy to see that Wotofo found a way to offer disposables to the DTL market.

I recommend the Wafer and Mini + to those who are very new to vaping and want to try the experience in the most fuss-free manner possible. These would also make good back-up devices in the car or when traveling.

My sincerest thanks again to Wotofo for allowing me to review these products!

Edit: Apologies for the placement of the photos, I'm still learning how to post in ECF! :)

Searching for Sahara by Migvapor replacement

I bought “Sahara” juice from MigVapor until they suddenly closed. It was as close to a Marlboro as I’ve yet to find. I’m an ex-smoker and seek a tobacco flavored juice that is not sweet and doesn’t leave a flavored aftertaste. VaporFi is a site that claims to have picked up MigVapor’s Sahara, but with the new laws the cost is ridiculous—the juice itself + their shipping + cost to require signature. I’m not even confident it’s the same stuff as the name now includes “Platinum” in it.

I recently bought a Sahara by Apollo but it’s nothing like Mig’s. The only other juice I’ve found I like is “Gold Leaf” juice by blu but I’ve only found pods.

Are there any ex-Sahara or current Gold Leaf users who have found good substitutes? I’m open to making some if anyone has a recipe. Your input will be most appreciated. Attached is picture of bottle.

Strict Reading | Could China’s E-Cig Regs Upend Global Open System Supply? | RegWatch

Late last year, China amended its laws, so that vaping product manufacturers are now subject to strict regulation by the Chinese government, under the same regulatory authority as combustible cigarettes.
The move outlaws the production and sale of refillable vapes for the domestic market, causing genuine concern over the future global supply of open systems hardware.

best liquid for mtl?

Hi Everyone,

I am new to vaping and have been trying to find the best for my taste but I don`t believe I am doing it right.

the device I bought smok nord 4 and bought ruthless grape drank on ice (grape & menthol vg70/pg30 0.6mg nic) to just give it a try. with 0.2 rpm2 coil the flavor was good but 2-3 days later it didn`t feel right. too sweet and too much menthol and soar throat.

Then I bought 1.2ohm coil and black note cavendish 0.6 mg nic vg/pg 70/30 to get a close to realistic tobacco flavor but it was not enough for me.

and with 1.2 ohm coil i tried ruthless the one I bought first and it didn`t give the flavor taste as 0.2 rpm coil.

I want to taste tobacco as closest as I can with vaping with mtl coil.
here in my country there is no much option to buy but I am between halo tribeca and naked american patriot freebase nic. (as I want to quit smoking or vaping, I don`t want go higher with nic like salt juices)

so do you think with 1.2 ohm coil can I get the right flavor of tobacco from naked american patriot or halo tribeca. I know tribeca is not tobacco only but as long as I get tobacco flavor which is not too sweet I am ok with it.
do you think they are suitable with mtl coil?

How to vape 70PG juice using sub ohm coils.

Hello all! I just ordered a new Innokin Coolfire z80 kit that comes with a free 30ml bottle of 70Pg juice. My question is; how can I make use of this juice with my sub ohm setup? The kit comes with a .3 ohm coil and a .8 ohm coil. But I usually use .48 ohm and .5 ohm coils. I'm hoping to make use of the juice without it being unpleasant.

Bench Test Results: LG H40A 21700…good performer, equal to Samsung 40T

These tests below only note my personal ESTIMATED ratings for the batteries I tested at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, or Sanyo can change at any time! This is one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers so carefully research any battery you are considering using before purchasing.

Misusing or mishandling lithium-ion batteries can pose a SERIOUS RISK of property damage, personal injury, or even death. They are not supposed to be used outside of a fully protected battery pack and you use them at your own risk. Never exceed the battery’s true continuous current rating and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.

Test Results

This is a good performing cell, essentially equal to the Samsung 40T at up to 25A. The Molicel P42A performs a little better but I don’t think you’ll see much difference in actual use.

I can not find a datasheet but Vapcell lists these with a 4000mAh 30A rating. Without a datasheet to confirm the claimed 30A rating I recommend staying under 25A with this cell to reduce voltage sag and extend cell life. Like any Li-Ion round cell not in a protected battery pack, you use it at your own risk.

The two cells I tested delivered 4006mAh and 4016mAh, meeting Vapcell’s 4000mAh rating. That is great consistency and is typical for cells from the major manufacturers.

I do not know who carries these cells but if you cannot find them anywhere Vapcell donated them for testing so you could contact them: 18650 batteries, Vapcell batteries, 18650 Chargers

Back to vaping

Hello guys.
Well some time ago I bought a vape, bottles, batteries, liquids, I tried to mix with not really good success so I just left it for some time collecting dust. But now I wanted to vape again. Basically I have a scale, 120ml bottle, nicotine base and flavour. Are these two even possible to be mixed together? Do I need to buy something else? I just want to buy/use this easy thing just buying premixed base and flavour. Thanks for answers.

Your most flavorful fruit juice for pods, pod mods , and tanks

Getting back into things again. As I just bought a caliburn G, and a Geek Vape Aegis Hero to use salts with, and still have the DROP as my RDA , and Horizontech Falcon as a tank..

Juice heads strawberry kiwi 25 mg salt is extremely flavorful in my caliburn G, but not so much in my hero

Pacha Mama-peach papaya coconut cream, One up vapor-orgasm, Ritual vapor Marea for sub ohm tanks all 3 could be too much for most people as far as flavor /sweetener .. there's alot going on there lol

Few questions on buying new.. everything Rda, coils, pods and mods

Well , I just went to our local vape shop and looked for a new coil for my Falcon, and maybe look at a new tank ( Sakerz ) or maybe a new mod kit in general as Im still using a smok alien, and Smoant battlestar mod lol. Both probably 5+ years old now. But anyways, was shocked to see how much the vape shop has changed in 2 years or so as I always ordered my juice as they didn't carry a lot that I wanted. All pods, pod mods, disposables and a handful of box mods .. where is all my cotton, coils, wire, for my RDAs, didnt even have any 18650s as my 6 year old sony vtc5s are about done ..

That being said.. I did end up buying a caliburn G ( not the g2, as it wasn't available ) and Juice Head 25mg strawberry kiwi nic salt, then fell for rip trippers video for the GeekVape Aegis Hero, as he so highly recommended it ..

Using the Juice head salt in both devices, I am actually very surprised that I'm getting much more/better flavor out of the caliburn, which is less wattage, with a smaller coil. Maybe i just need to break in the larger coil ( geek vape B series 0.6 ) for a tank or so?

which brings me to my next question.

At what point do you transition to freebase 6/12 MG vs using salts in a pod mod like the hero? The hero is obviously much more power, bigger coils , and you have the ability to inhale MUCH more vapor than the caliburn?

The caliburn i completely understand the salts, but the hero, or any other 40-60 watt "pod mod " is a different story, especially if I were to put in the 0.4 coil and vape at 40watts. In that case , it almost seems like a 6MG freebase would be better / safer especially if you vape a lot during the day.. If I was taking one big hit every hour , the 25 MG salt in the hero wouldn't bother me , but if Im taking a few good hits every 5 minutes.. Different story

Just wondering what you all think.

All that being said, lol

Is there a one stop shop in the USA to get things anymore, or is it kind of spread over different sites.

I live in Wisconsin ( if it matters for any vape mail issues )

I need

A new RDA ( currently still using a DROP )
Cotton
batteries
Good pre built coils ( I bought a coilology pack last year , but they all seem to OHM out to low when using them in pairs ( which I do in the drop RDA )

Which is odd as the 7 in 1 kit I have states each coil from between .21 and .36 ohms, which run in pairs should be about .1 to .18 (ish) ??

Thank you everyone for reading, Sorry it was so long, but there was alot on my mind ;)

► Hippovape B'adapt Pro 100w Sbs Mod; First impressions:
I was surprised (negatively) that in the B'Adapt Pro Sbs package there was no 18650 battery adapter (sold separately), not that this is of vital importance because the Mod still works with 21700 battery, but considering that it is of a small piece worth a few cents I do not agree with this choice of the manufacturer. For the rest B'adapt Pro 100w Sbs Mod is really light, rather compact and has an elegant appearance.

Hippovape b'adapt pro 100w sbs mod 6.jpg

The Mod is made of steel as regards the compartment / battery, the cap and the upper / lower plates. What convinces me the least is the thin 3D plastic material that the body is coated with. I just wouldn't want to test the drop to ground test of this cute Mod, I think the rigid and thin plastic material would definitely get damaged. B'adapt Pro 100w Sbs Mod for consistency is the polar opposite of another SBS Mod like Brunhilde which is made entirely of solid metal and which is certainly heavier to carry, however comparing it to B'adapt Pro 100w it transmits much more confidence with respect to any accidental impacts.

Hippovape b'adapt pro 100w sbs mod 7.jpg

► Hippovape B'adapt Pro 100w Sbs Mod; Front / back view:
B'adapt Pro 100w Sbs Mod seen from behind has a pleasant "mech style" appearance thanks to the steel tube that houses the battery, the thin plastic parts that embrace the tube at the top and bottom contribute to a comfortable grip. All this to the detriment of the fragile coating material that is exposed first in the event of a fall to the ground of the Mod.

The 0.96 "monochrome display is recessed on the front in a position protected from shocks. Above the display I would have expected to find the Fire button, but in this position there are only the" + and - "adjustment buttons which are housed on to a metal rocker. The display is quite bright and shows in addition to the classic information also the temperature of the PCB. The chipset also integrates all the main safety functions.

► Hippovape B'adapt Pro 100w Sbs Mod; Operation Guide:
• Power On / Off: Click the Fire button 5 times.
• Output Mode Selection: 3-click Fire button to enter VW, VV, Bypass, TC (SS, Ti, Ni) TCR menu interface. To select, use the +/- buttons then press the Fire button to confirm.
• Watt Mode: Here you can adjust the appropriate power (1-100W) in increments / decrements of 0.1W at a time and according to your needs by pressing the +/- buttons.
• Volt Mode: Here you can adjust the appropriate voltage (0.5-8V) in increments / decrements of 0.01V at a time and according to your needs by pressing the +/- buttons.
• Bypass mode: With this setting the mod directly sets the adequate power according to the resistive value of the resistance and the battery charge level, simulating a "mech" delivery.
• Temp mode: When entering Temperature mode, press "+ -" to select between SS, TI, NI, TCR, then press "fire" button to confirm.
The temperature range varies from 100 ° C to 315 ° C or from 200 ° F to 600 ° F. TCR parameters range from 800 to 8000. In Temperature mode, press the Fire button twice, when the Watt icon is flashing, press "+ or -" to adjust the wattage, then press the Fire button to confirm.
• Lock / Unlock the power adjustment: Press and hold the "+" and "-" buttons.
• Lock / Unlock the Fire Button: Press the "+" button and the Fire button at the same time.
• Puff count: If the vape time is greater than 1s the puff number will be increased by one, if the vape time is less than 1s the puff will not be counted.
• Puff Reset: Press and hold the "-" button and the Fire button at the same time.

► Hippovape B'adapt Pro 100w Sbs Mod; Alert:
• NEW COIL ?: Press the "+" or "-" keys to select "Yes" or "No", then press the Fire button to confirm.
• CHECK ATOMIZER: When the atomizer or the coil are connected incorrectly.
• ATOMIZER SHORT: When a short circuit occurs.
• OHMS TOO HIGH: When the resistance is too high.
• OHMS TOO LOW: When the resistance is too low.

Hippovape b'adapt pro 100w sbs mod 8.jpg

► Hippovape B'adapt Pro 100w Sbs Mod; Side view:
Stylistically very successful B'adapt Pro 100w Sbs Mod is appreciated in particular in the side view for the successful Mix of steel and plastic "wood style". One of the side panels houses the round shaped Fire key with a metallic texture. The manufacturer's choice to place the Fire button sideways (for my vaping habits) forces me to an unnatural and forced Mod grip, I believe this situation will certainly be better for right-handed Vaper's.

Hippovape b'adapt pro 100w sbs mod 9.jpg

► Hippovape B'adapt Pro 100w Sbs Mod; Bottom view:
On the bottom of the Mod there is the Usb Type-C port through which the battery can be recharged. Personally, I always recommend the use of a separate charger so as not to unnecessarily tire the Mod circuit. On the bottom of the Mod, in addition to a serial number and legislative marks, there are also three torx screws and the writing "designed by VSS Project X Hippovape"

Problems with GEEK VAPE COMPANY

Hi
I would like to share a very bad situation I'm currently in with GEEK VAPE. On January 15 at 3:00p.m. et I ordered a legend 2 complete kit w/free shipping. On Monday the 17 I received a e-mail stating my order had been processed and was on the way from the Santa Fe Springs,CA. Distribution center. On Tues the 18th I noticed a charge on my banking app from GEEK VAPE-Manchester for a additional $2.95.I e-mailed them back and they responding saying the additional charge was from my bank.I contacted my bank and was told that was totally incorrect. So on Wed. The 19th I sent GEEK vape a screen shot of the charge from my bank app. They have been continuing to deny that they have charged me any additional fees. In the mean time on Friday the 21st I decided to check the tracking to see where my package is and it hasn't even been delivered to the carrier yet. It's now Sat.1-22-2022 this item was reported to be in stock in the California distribution center in Santa Fe Springs. It's been 8 days and my order has not even began to ship. I have been charged an additional $2.45 erroneous fee for what I have no clue. My bank has informed me they have no fees for debit card transactions regardless of the country of origin. I'm at a loss of words to describe my disappointment and frustration over these various issues with the folks at GEEK VAPE.They keep using excuses about Covid, peak time and other invalid excuses. The erroneous charge I'm also in total disbelief about. I just wanted to warn people about GEEK VAPE and how their shipping and billing procedures have came off the rails since my last transaction back in 2018. If it wasn't for the fact that the Legend 2 kit is the most durable and dependable kit out there I would tell every one to steer clear of this company.Just be vigilant about the charges from GEEK VAPE when free shipping is a selling point also be prepared for a very archaic shipping and supply system. Its worse than any I have encountered in the modern Era of business.

Help with new RDA and Squonk wattage

Finally cigarette-free after 12 years....

Hello everyone,

I was a heavy smoker for over 12 years smoking 3-4 packs daily. Today I'm cigarette-free for 4 months for the first time ever thanks to vaping. I started my journey with a Geekvape L200 legend mod with Zeus sub-ohm tank. The downside was going through coils fast even though I was priming my 0.2 coils and vaping at 55 WAT. A coil would last 2 or 3 days max before losing flavor or taste burnt which adds up quite fast given that single-coil here costs 7$. Today I rewarded myself with Dvopoo Dual Topside squonk with a Dead Rabbit v2 RDA. I got some premade Alien Clapton Tiger coils at 0.36 ohm. I managed to build my first deck with dual coils that ended up giving me 0.3-ohm resistance. Would anyone help me choose optimal wattage and settings for flavor? Also, how to reduce spit back

I also have a Drop Digiflavour RDA as well as a Ragnar Aromamizer advanced kit coming soon. Which combo would give me the ultimate flavor experience with my gear?

Thank you for reading this

WOTOFO GEAR V2 RTA review by hittman

Hello again everyone. Today I’m here to present my first review for Wotofo. I was sent the Gear V2 RTA in order to provide a fair and honest review and that is what I plan to do. Wotofo has made the statement that “the essence of this upgrade starts with the idea of taking its original simplicity to a new level while boosting its performance enormously”. We shall see how it performs. The V2 is a single coil rta with a 3.5ml capacity and is 24mm in diameter. I have to say that I never tried the original Gear RTA so can’t really do a fair comparison but will do my best to cover this new version and provide my thoughts on it.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

Although this is my first review for Wotofo, this isn’t the first time I’ve reviewed a Wotofo product. The packaging of the Gear V2 was all too familiar in green and black with a clear outer cover that slides off. The rta is clearly visible through the top cover but I was a little surprised that it just said Gear and not Gear V2 on the front of the package.

Instead of being on the back like most samples I receive, the contents list is on the side of the box. Besides the rta, included in the package was a user manual, accessory pack, screwdriver, cotton, and two framed staple Clapton coils rated at .33 ohms. I like that everything you need to do a couple builds is included. I’ve reviewed a couple tanks lately that didn’t include coils or cotton.

As I do with all new tanks, I gave the V2 a good cleaning before putting a build in it. The tank breaks down into three pieces. The top cap with molded drip tip, the center tank section, and the base. The tip and top cap are one piece molded plastic as well as the outer part of the tank section with a stainless steel chamber inside the tank section. The base is of course made of stainless steel. The fill ports are plenty big and I had no issues filling the 3.5ml tank with any of the bottles that I currently use.

The base has two flat head screws to hold the coil in place. Beside each screw is a wall that helps to trap the wire under the screw as well as blocking the airflow that comes from underneath the go directly over the coil. Once the coil is trapped then it is very easy to trim the coil legs. This one is super easy to build.

I used one of the included .33 coils and the included cotton. The cotton included is pretty dense so I did a pretty good comb out on it so that I didn’t have to stuff the cotton wells and tried to keep the wick short enough so it went down in the holes without going all the way down to the bottom. I was probably a little high with the first build but it did work pretty well. After that I lowered the coil which did improve the flavor some.

The airflow on the V2 is fixed and not adjustable. That just seems weird to me. I don’t think I’ve tried another rta that didn’t have adjustable airflow. Wotofo says that the rta is designed with the optimal airflow built into the design. The airflow was fairly quiet but I have to say that if the airflow was adjustable then I would have dialed it in a little tighter. I was however running the tank at 37 watts which was a little lower than the recommended range.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

First of all, I really had a hard time mentally getting past the fact that a lot of the tank is made of plastic. It reminded me of a disposable tank that I received in a kit that I bought a long time ago.

I’ll start off with what I did like about the V2. The deck is a nice size and very easy to build on and trim the coil legs. The tank seems small to me and think that the short height was designed to help maximize the flavor production. It seemed to me that the coil seemed slightly cramped between the build deck walls. I felt that the flavor produced was good but not great. I’d probably give it a 7 out of 10. I’ve reviewed a lot of tanks and this one is good but not the best flavor producer that I have tried.

One thing I didn’t care for was how the drip tip and top cap are one molded piece. Also the top cap is very thin and not easy to get a grip on so I ended up using the drip tip to remove and install the top cap. One other reason I don’t like the molded tip is that I found if I filled the tank to the top that I would get some spit back and the hot liquid hit the back of my throat and made me have a sore throat for a day. If I could have removed the tip then I would have installed an anti-spit back tip on the tank.

I understand why the tank was designed small but found running the included coil that I would go through a tank of liquid fairly quick so a larger liquid capacity would have been much appreciated.

Well, in the beginning I said that I would try to give an honest review and hope that I have done that. I’d like to thank Wotofo for sending the Gear V2 RTA for this review and hope that I have given you the faithful readers enough information to decide whether you would like to try the V2 for yourself.

Need advice!

This is going to sound really stupid. I quit smoking 2 1/2 years ago using an aspire K3. I can’t find them anymore and all of mine are completely shot. So I was convinced to buy the Aspire Zelos 3. It looks great and everything but this thing is pretty fancy for me and I have no idea what I’m doing. I use a 70 PG 30 VG juice blend and I just need to know what to set this thing at to have the best throat hit in flavor and I don’t care about clouds. My coil is a 1.8.

what wattage do I set this to?
