Can vaping cause stomach pain?

Hi guys,

My name is Nate and I’ve been vaping for about 3-4 years now and for the past year or so I’ve been dealing with extreme hunger pains/gas. Mostly everything I eat isn’t enough and I have to eat more or it turns into really bad gas. Specifically right in the morning when I wake up..and throughout the day if I keep vaping. If I stop for a few days, it’ll go away but my discomfort for my functional dyspepsia is still there but it’s not exasperated like it is when I vape

I’ve gotten an endoscopy and they said my stomach was great with nothing wrong but was diagnosed with functional dyspepsia.. maybe vaping + Functional dyspepsia isn’t a good mix?

I’ve heard it could do with the PG and VG levels but you’d think that a 50/50 ratio would be good? Reguardless if it’s 70/30 I wouldn’t think it would make a difference

Please let me know if anyone can help it’s killing me and I don’t know what to do

LOST VAPE URSA MINI POD DEVICE review by hittman

Hello dedicated readers. Thank you for joining me for another review today. I’m rather excited today to be able to present my very first review for LOST VAPE. I was sent the Ursa Mini in order to provide a fair and honest review so that you may decide for yourself if you would like to try one for yourself. The Lost Vape Ursa Mini is very similar in design as the Ursa Quest but much smaller. It comes in several vibrant colors and is very lightweight and can be easily carried for use out and about. The Mini contains a 1200mah internal battery and has an output range of 5-30 watts.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the Ursa Mini is fairly standard. It starts with the white outer sleeve with a nice color picture of the device on the front of the package. Once that was removed, inside was the mod with pod tank installed wrapped in a protective plastic sleeve along with the user guide and a slim box that contained the USB-C charging cable and two coils. The coils included in the kit are .4 ohm KA1 coil rated for 20-30 watts and a 1.0 ohm KA1 coil rated for 10-15 watts.

On the front of the mod going from top to bottom is the fire button which is nice and clicky followed by the .69” display screen and below that is the + and – buttons. The mod is made of zinc alloy and stainless steel and is very lightweight.

upload_2021-8-22_13-16-23.png

On the right side is the shiny colored panel with Lost Vape one the frame and the Lost Vape logo near the bottom on the shiny side panel. On the left side is another shiny panel along with the words Ursa Mini on the frame. Even though the panels are shiny, they don’t show fingerprints. The one I received for review is the Glitter Ocean version but I also have the Phantom Blue version that I won on a contest. The back of the unit has no branding. On the bottom of the unit is the USB-C charging port along with three venting holes. On either side above the side panels is the infinite airflow control. There are four different sized holes to make the airflow adjustment easily set to your personal preference. The stainless ring has vertical notches cut into the ring to make it easier to move. There is a positive stop on the airflow adjustment ring.

upload_2021-8-22_13-17-56.png

Of course, above the airflow ring is the pod receptacle of the mod. The receptacle has a metal ring for the six pod magnets to attach to and has two spring loaded gold plated contact that make contact with the coil.
upload_2021-8-22_13-18-43.png

The .69” display screen shows the following information.

- Battery level indicator

- Coil resistance

- Set wattage

- Length of current puff

- Puff counter

The menu operation of the Ursa Mini is fairly simple. The button operations are as follows.

- Press the fire button five times to turn the device on and off

- Press the fire button and + button to lock or unlock the adjustment buttons only

- Press the fire button and – button for three seconds to reset the puff counter

The mod has a maximum battery voltage is 4.2v so does not have a boost circuit. I honestly wouldn’t expect it on a small device like this. The promotional literature claims that the 1200mah battery will last all day. I think that depends on how heavy you use it and which coil you are using but yes I could get it to last an entire day since I’m not an extremely heavy vaper. The Ursa Mini does have smart coil detection which is a good feature to have on a device like this to keep new users from damaging new coils.

upload_2021-8-22_13-19-50.png

upload_2021-8-22_13-20-12.png

The Ursa Mini pod is fairly dark tinted and a little hard to see the liquid level depending on the light level where you are. The pod holds 3ml of liquid which is a really good size for such a small device. The drip tip is a molded part of the pod and is not replaceable. I didn’t mind that and found the tip to be very comfortable to use.

The fill port rubber plug is on the bottom of the pod like most pod devices we see these days. I found it easy to fill with the bottles I commonly use and had no mess. I found it interesting that the opening where you push in the coil there is a plastic support on either side of the coil which I assume is to help keep the coil in place. Normally what I see is just the coil hanging out the bottom of the pod on other devices. It’s not really necessary but I like that Lost Vape thought of it to add that feature. I was able to change the coils in the pod very easily and was able to change them with a partial tank of liquid with no mess. However, if it’s too full then you will get some spillage.

upload_2021-8-22_13-21-13.png

Like I mentioned earlier there were a .4 and a 1.0 ohm coil included in the kit but there are also a .8 and a 1.4 ohm coil that can be purchased separately that can be used in the Ursa Mini.

I liked the .4 ohm coil very much and felt like it delivered very good flavor and a generous amount of vapor. My preferred setting was at 22 watts with the airflow completely open.

I don’t normally use higher resistance coils that much but really liked the 1.0 ohm coil at 14 watts and once again with the airflow open. Due to the design of the coil the airflow is somewhat restricted by the coil itself. I prefer an airy MTL vape and was able to get nice performance with this coil. You could also close the airflow down to one hole or a partial one hole to get a tight MTL if that’s something you like.

upload_2021-8-22_13-22-0.png

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I already owned several Lost Vape devices before receiving the Ursa Mini for review and associate their name with quality products. I was not disappointed. I felt like the Ursa mini was a well done rendition of the Ursa Quest of which I own three and thoroughly enjoy.

I like the simplicity of the button operation of the device along with the USB-C fast charging, infinite airflow control, the very strong magnet connection, and of course the very good flavor and vapor production. After all, flavor production is a big part of what can make or break a device for me.

The zinc alloy and stainless steel construction give a quality feel to the Ursa mini without it being a heavy device. It is small enough that it can almost be completely hidden in the palm of my hand which is nice if you need to stealth vape or don’t want to draw attention.

So would I recommend the Lost Vape Ursa Mini pod device for you? I really would. I have very much enjoyed testing it and plan on continuing to keep it in my rotation. I would like to thank Lost Vape and Chloe for sending the Lost vape Ursa Mini for this review and look forward to future cooperation with them. A great big thank you to you the readers. This doesn’t happen without you. Below is a link to the Lost Vape website if you would like to look around.

OBS Engine 100W Box Mod - Review

Hi ECF members, In this review I take a look at the Engine 100W Box Mod from OBS. The OBS Engine 100W Box Mod was supplied for the purpose of this review by Sourcemore.

OBS Engine Mod 100W Box Mod single 18650/20700/21700

YL48i35.jpg

Introduction

My introduction to OBS was the original Engine RTA and more recently they have had great success with the Cube series of space saving, compact, power only devices. Here I take a look at the Engine 100w Mod which has so much operationally in common with the Cube but takes the Engine name as with the kit version it's paired with the Engine sub-ohm tank!

The top power of the Engine is 100w when in 21700 mode and 80w when in 18650 mode, it has the Auto wattage adjust lock which is common with other OBS mods and is a simple select your wattage and vape device!

The Zinc Alloy constructed device comes with either a Resin or Metal replaceable battery tube giving multiple aesthetic options so less of my waffle and let's take a closer look!

Aesthetics and Ergonomics

The Engine 100w Mod came in simple cardboard box packaging with a picture of the device on the front and contents etc on the reverse. The device comes in 2 different frame colours, SS or Gunmetal and as well as Carbon Fiber and 5 different Resin battery tube options they have now released 5 all metal versions, I was sent the Stainless Steel framed Puzzle Purple version.

The Zinc Alloy chassis is narrow at the front and then has a top and bottom battery tube frame to the rear allowing replaceable tubes to slide in place. The face has a tinted plastic panel with plastic protruding round fire button top and vertically lined up navigational buttons bottom with the screen between!

To one side of the chassis towards the bottom we have a vertically positioned Type C USB port and on the opposite side in the same position "OBS" etched on the metal. The top rear frame section for the battery tube within an indented rectangular section has "ENGINE" in raised lettering with metallic finish to the face of the lettering and the bottom battery cap has printed safety stamps!

Moving up top we have a 25mm Stainless Steel plate screwed directly to the frame with spring loaded 510 pin. The device with battery tube at the rear and narrow front is one of the smallest 21700 devices I have used with a nice ergonomic shape, size and weight! Lastly when shaking the device I got no button rattle whatsoever!

Fitting The Battery

The Engine 100W accommodates either a 21700, 20700 or 18650 with the supplied adaptor. We have a bottom battery cap that screws on not just to secure and complete the circuit for the battery but also to secure the battery sleeve into position because with the battery cap removed the tube freely slides out of the frame. In my opinion it slides out too easily without any resistance so even when secured in place with the battery cap it can still be easily turned but the trade off is the sleeves can be bought separately so you can give your device many different aesthetic looks as there is 11 different tubes available, the Resin options will all be unique!

26KViG9.jpg

Orientation is well marked and once secured (I tried an 18650 and 21700) I got no battery rattle whatsoever, the threading on the cap isn't the smoothest but it gets the job done!

ku499Cc.jpg

_________________________________________________________________________

The Display

The screen has a tinted cover and although sharp, colourful and quite bright in indoor conditions I found I couldn't see the display outdoors very easily at all.

Top left we have "OBS" and then to the right the battery life as a percentage followed by a status bar. Underneath we have "POWER" (the only mode) followed by the wattage, to the right of the wattage we have a padlock in either a locked or open position depending on the status of the navigational buttons!

Underneath the wattage we first have voltage followed by resistance and then the duration of your vape. Next we have the four digit puff counter followed right at the bottom by the colour palette for choosing the colour of the accents on the display!

Between the puff counter and colour options we have one of those graphic equalizer style graphics that is animated while vaping but doesn't actually refer to anything, just an aesthetic feature!

Navigating The Engine 100

This is a less detailed review than I usually write but that's because it's a simple power only device and no real issues to report, the device does what it say's and does it very well. When first installing the battery it asks if it's an 18650 or 21700 because if you choose 18650 it limits the device to 80w rather than 100w which is the maximum power in 21700 mode!

hPoSDnY.jpg

It's the usual 5 clicks of the fire button to turn on and 5 clicks to turn off and once on simply adjust the wattage and vape. The wattage adjusts in 1w increments from 5w all the way up to 80w in 18650 mode or 100w in 21700 mode at a nice speed and round robins. Whenever the fire button is pressed the navigational buttons Auto Lock which I think is a great feature, to unlock so the wattage can be adjusted is 3 quick clicks of either the up or down buttons.

Pressing the fire button 3 times quickly changes the colour of the accents on the display, the options are Red, Purple, Slate (Pacific) Blue, French Blue, Yellow or White! Fire and down together resets the puff counter and pressing all 3 buttons at the same time displays a device information screen.

Protections:

Short Circuit Protection
High Temperature Protection
Low Battery Protection
Over Vape 10s Protection
Open Circuit Protection

_________________________________________________________________________

Charging

As always I recommend charging your battery externally if at all possible but if you do need to charge in the device the Engine has a Type C connection and 2A charge rate. While charging the screen displays both a progress status bar and the charge as a percentage, the Engine also supports pass-through vaping and upgrades.

My Thoughts

I really liked using the Engine 100 Mod for both it's unfussy simple navigation and it's very small size and ergonomics, a nice device for when out and about! I have always liked the way the navigational buttons auto lock on OBS devices and with the Engine 100 we see the addition of a puff counter and being able to customise the colour of the display. The display is bright and colourful but the tinted screen means it's not easy to see in outdoor conditions which is a con!

I also like that it asks for which battery is being installed and that it limits the device to a realistic 80w if using an 18650 and that it also does not reset the puff count when swapping batteries. However my biggest issue is that every time a new battery is installed it doesn't remember your last wattage setting and defaults to 40w (In either 18650 or 21700 mode) which I found very annoying and I can see a few low wattage MTL vapers frying their coil accidently forgetting that the wattage needs resetting!

I also really like that the battery sleeves can be bought separately so you can customise the look of the device but just wish they fitted with more resistance so once secured with the battery cap they couldn't turn although this is far from a deal breaker and wont bother everyone, the sleeve does need turning on purpose, it's not like it moves on it's own just I personally found it a little annoying just knowing it can turn!

When testing i had no issues whatsoever with performance and like with most modern devices it fired without delay and hit set wattage instantly! The buttons are nice and clicky with average travel but quite a quiet click so not going to annoy those around you! It can also accommodate up to a 27mm atomiser without overhang which is impressive for such a small device and for those that need to charge in the device we have Type C and a 2A charge rate, it also supports both pass-through vaping and upgrades!

My last con is the manual which is poorly translated into English so makes little sense plus many things like how to set the puff counter isn't even mentioned!

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

I knew the device was going to be small but didn't know that it was going to be as tiny as it is and it's tiny folks. I had forgotten just how tiny the original Mini ISTICK was way back in the day, size is about the same as the original but this version 2 has a couple of nice features that wasn't even a idea back then. Packaging of this kit was done nicely.

20210821_071752.jpg

The first thing that I wanted to see was the supplied coils, you have now seen the device but still don't realize just how small it is. Coils are also small and both are mesh but the 0.8Ω coil is made from AST stainless steel rated at 8-15 watts while the 1.4Ω Kanthal mesh is rated for6-12 watts.

20210821_081056.jpg

Coils are screwed into the base and then the base is screwed on to the tank, don't forget to first prime the coil with a couple of drops of e-liquid and after connecting the base to the tank and filling let the tank sit for 5 minutes before vaping. Now you can see just how small the device is, heck 3 coils stacked on top of each other almost equal the height of the device. I put a standard toothpick in front for a size scale.

20210821_075334.jpg

The GS Air Tank has very large fill ports that accommodates any sized bottle tip or dripper, the top cap has a thick gasket that seals tightly. The 510 pin on the tank has a hole in it but it's not for squonking it's for the auto draw feature of this kit. The drip tip is a replaceable standard 510 and very comfortable to use so I saw no need to use one of my own. In combination with the Mini ISTICK 2 this tank can be used in auto draw.

20210821_084338.jpg

20210821_084123.jpg

The 510 top plate of the device is raised because that is where the tank gets it's air supply from, there is a very small gap but it's really not noticeable unless you are looking for it.

20210821_103619.jpg

The device sits flush on any flat surface and has 3 ventilation holes at the bottom that are slightly recessed on one side. The matt gunmetal color of the main body frame accents the green color of the mods wrap around cover.

20210821_103346.jpg

Eleaf made the name of the device and it's company name almost transparent by stealth printing both names on the device, you have to have the light catch it just right in order to see both names. I really like the effect it gives and I have seen it used before on other devices. One side of the device has ELEAF printed while the other side has MINI ISTICK 2.

20210821_094536.jpg

20210821_090930.jpg

Using the device has been a very pleasant experience and the GS Air 4 tank works well and both match up nicely. I decided to start out using the 1.4Ω MTL coil and found after activating the auto draw in the settings it worked well on the single smallest airhole setting of the dual slots but was just a bit tight for my liking, the airflow can really be tightened down for a tight MTL vape. I then tried 2 of the smallest holes open and found that I had to inhale deeply in order for the auto draw to kick in and sometimes it would just quit working until I inhaled deeper. I'll chalk that up to my MTL vaping style and not the auto draw.

The manual button works great and the 2 smallest holes open was my sweet spot using the fire button. I didn't get massive vapor using this coil but it's not intended to do so, what was produced more than satisfied me. Flavor was there but not fantastic although it did improve after about 2 refills of the tank so there is a bit of a break in of the coil.

My sweet spot for wattage using this coil is 11 watts and it lasted me all day with some power left in it the next day. Having 2A fast charging works great only needing 30 minutes to be fully charged back up again.

One thing I want to focus on is that this device has the smart feature that limits your wattage when using GS Air coils, the device will max out at 25w but only reaches 17.9 using the 1.4Ω coil, using the 0.8Ω coil it stops at 25 watts. The Mini also has a dry hit protection feature for AST COILS that can be turned on or off in the settings so remember to activate it.

Next to try was the AST 0.8Ω coil, so I started out at 12 watts fully open and found it to be more of a loose MTL vape than a RDL. Again flavor was not the best but after a couple refills of the tank flavor improved. Using it in RDL mode fully open or on any airflow setting the auto draw worked great and more vapor was produced also.

The front face of the device is clean with a large fire/power button at the top and has a rocker style adjustment button that has plus and minus symbols engraved on it, below that is the type-c charge port.

The display screen is fairly bright with sufficient sized fonts that are easy to read. There's not much information on the display screen but there really is no need for more than what is displayed. Displayed from the top to bottom is ohms reading, battery bar and wattage/voltage.

20210821_101655.jpg

MENU

* ON/OFF - 5 Presses of the fire/power button

* Power Modes and Settings - 3 Presses of the fire/power button to enter menu then adjustment buttons to scroll through Wattage, Voltage, Screen Stealth, Auto Draw

* Dry Proof Tech - Press the fire/power and plus buttons simultaneously

* Screen Flip - Press and hold the fire/power button and minus button simultaneously

* Adjustment Buttons Lock - Press and hold the plus and minus buttons simultaneously

FINAL IMPRESSIONS

I really like this tiny device because of it's appearance and size as well as having a auto draw function that only works when using the GS Air 4 tank.

If you plan on using another tank on the device know that the 510 pin is fixed and not spring loaded so your tank will more than likely have a sizable gap.

This tank in my opinion with the supplied coils is more of a MTL tank than can be very tight or very loose of a vape that should make most MTL vapers happy.

Because of it's very fast charging your down time will be short ( 30 min ).

I really like the stealth names of the device and company, it adds to the nice appearance in my opinion, sometimes less is better.

Overall I think Eleaf did a great job with the Mini ISTICK 2.

I would like to thank Ameon and VAPESOURCING for providing the Mini ISTICK 2 for the purpose of this review.

THANK YOU

Lost Vape THELEMA QUEST 200W Kit; First impressions:
Curiously, Lost Vape for this powerful dual-battery kit has chosen a name already used for its previous All-In-One product ... Quite different in appearance and size.
Here you find my review: Lost Vape Thelema 80W

LostVape Thelema Quest 200W 7.jpg

Like all Lost Vape products, also in this case the impression is of great strength and structural solidity with a high degree of finishes, despite all this Thelema is a kit that basically belongs to a rather affordable price range.

The design of this 2-battery Mod is of a "classic" type like there are many others, however one gets the impression of handling a Hi-End device. The weight is quite low, only 150g empty. I was particularly pleased to find the UB Pro Pod tank that had fully satisfied me during the Lost Vape Grus v2 Mod test.

For this review I received the Black version with transparent battery cover which is part of the "Clear" line. This line is available in 3 different frame colors. Lost vape offers the Thelema Mod with 11 different total colors that are divided into 3 variants depending on the composition material of the Cover (Clear, Carbon Fiber, Calf leather).
So you just have to be spoiled for choice if you decide to buy this item's.

LostVape Thelema Quest 200W 8.jpg

Lost Vape THELEMA DNA 250C Version:
The same Mod with the same size and the same form factor is also proposed by Lost Vape in an Extra-Luxury version with the adoption of the prestigious DNA 250C chipset inside.
For the Thelema with DNA 250C chipset and for your insights, I refer you to the official page: Thelema DNA250C MOD – Lost Vape

LostVape Thelema Quest 200W 9.jpg

Lost Vape THELEMA DNA 250C; Side view:
The element that characterizes the Clear line by Thelema is the cover with "C" design of the compartment / batteries. The transparency of the cover allows you to see inside the batteries (if they are installed), while without the batteries installed it is possible to view the entire electronic package. I already own some transparent mods so for me it is not an absolute novelty and perhaps I would have liked a "classic" version more considering that there are several Thelema setups with really nice combinations of materials and colors.

Around the transparent panel there are the uprights of the frame with engravings on the metal in full Lost Vape style, on the uprights of the frame it is possible to see on one side the writing "Lost Vape" and on the other side "Thelema Quest". Both are laser printed and are white in color.

Hello! I'm vaping since 2016 but I still need help

Hello! My name is Artemis and I live in Quebec, Canada. I started vaping in 2016 and I still need help figuring some things

I started on an eleaf istick with a aspire K2 tank (bvc coils) and 6mg 50/50 e-liquid.

A year later, I bought an eleaf aster and I kept my K2 tank (and for the e-liquid 3mg 50/50 watermelon ever since).

I love the vaping experience I get with this mod/tank but my eleaf aster kept breaking every 8months (stuck firing buton) and I have difficulty to find it on the market now (same thing for my aspire K2 tank).

So I tried 2 other mods (eleaf pico 75w and Tesla cigs punk 85w). The pico came with a tank but I really didn't like it (vapor too hot and too difficult to vape) and with my K2 tank, the coils burned too fast (2days). With the punk, I kept my K2 on it but the feeling was not the same (my mouth was dry).

I vape 10ml of juice a day at 8w.

I wondered if you could suggest something similar as the combination of the eleaf aster/K2 tank on the market today.

Thank you for your answers and sorry for my english, french is my mothertongue

CE3 Replacement

I'm sure this hasn't come up in sometime now, but I am just getting back into it and CE3's were my favorite. Now that I have to start all over again, could you tell me of any setups that use coils without the cotton in them? That is what I loved about the CE3's--no cotton, and I liked the bottom coils. I am willing to try a completely new set up as long as it doesn't involve cotton in the wicking (hope I'm getting the wording right!). Thanks so much!!

VOOPOO DRAG S PRO AND DRAG X PRO review by hittman

Hello once again. Today I’m here to talk about not one but two new kits from Voopoo. These are the latest addition to the Drag family of pod mods. They are the Drag X Pro and the Drag S Pro. Besides the size difference, the X Pro can use a 21700 or 18650 battery while the S Pro has an internal 3000mah battery. Both are similar in this new design upgrade and have some really nice new features along with a newly developed pod tank. I will get into that more later. For now let’s see what’s included in both kits and take a look at some of the new features then I’ll give my opinions on how both performed.

VOOPOO-Drag-S-Pro-Kit-New-GENE-FAN-3-0-Chip.jpg

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

Both of the units arrived in small boxes that are pretty standard packaging from Voopoo. Inside of each kit was the mod, the new TPP X Pod Tank, two coils, USB-C charging cable, and user guide.

The Drag X came with the TPP .15 ohm coil rated at 80-100 watts according to the literature and the .2 ohm coil is rated 40-60 watts. The X uses a replaceable battery and can be used with a 21700 battery or an 18650 battery with the included battery adapter.

The Drag S came with a .3 ohm coil rated for 32-40 watts and a .15 coil rated for 60-80 watts. The .15 coil is not the same as the one that came with the Drag X. This one is a TPP-DM1 and the one that came with the X is a DM3. The Drag S has an internal 3000mah battery.

The Drag X and the Drag S are very similar in appearance with both kits coming with the same tank that holds 5.5ml of liquid. Both mods have the same configuration on the front which has the fire button on top followed by the display screen, the + and – buttons, the new “One Switch”, and the USB-C charging/update port near the bottom.

upload_2021-8-20_21-2-22.png

On the left side of the frame are the words “Designed by Voopoo” and on the right side are the words “Gene Chip inside”. On the back is a nice leather like wrap with the words “Drag X Pro” or “Drag S Pro” stamped into the leather depending on which mod you are holding at the time. Above the leather is the new 360 degree airflow control. I very much like how it is built into the mod frame and we no longer have the rod sticking out for airflow adjustment like there have been on past versions. A definite improvement in my opinion. There is a wide airflow slot as well as a single small hole that would be good for a tight MTL for those that like that. Of course, above the airflow control there is the receptacle for the pod tank. Both mods now have an airflow sensor that allows the user to activate the mod by button firing or auto draw. I found the auto draw worked best with the airflow control mostly closed. The airflow sensor on both kits is offset inside the pod receptacle so it’s not in line with the coil and is thus somewhat protected against any liquid leakage.

upload_2021-8-20_21-3-2.png

Like I mentioned earlier, the S mod has an internal battery but the X mod can use either a 21700 or an 18650 battery with the included adapter. On the bottom of the mod is the hinged battery door. There is a small slide release on the cover used to open the lid. I found it to work very well compared to some other mods that I have used in the past that were often a little difficult to open. It did not appear that there was any markings on the inside of the mod for battery polarity but there is a – sign on the flip up cover underneath to indicate which way to install the battery.

upload_2021-8-20_21-3-44.png

On the .96” TFT display the following information is given going from top to bottom.

- The word Drag and battery level indicator

- Set wattage and mode of operation( S= Smart/ R= RBA) TC will be available for download on the Voopoo website

- Voltage under load and coil resistance

- Length of current puff and Puff counter

The menu operation for both mods is somewhat simplified due to the addition of the One Button Switch. Just like other Drag devices, the mods go into standby after a period of time and when you’re ready to use them again then you must press the fire button once before it will fire.

- Press the fire button five times to turn the device on and off

- Press the fire button and the – button to clear the puff counter

- Press the + and – buttons to enter the menu where the choices are Switch, Mode, and Exit

- Once selected using the fire button, the switch menu allows you to use the switch to either lock or turn off the device. Once locked, the auto draw will still operate.

- Mode allows you to switch between Smart and RBA modes

VOOPOO-Drag-X-Pro-Kit-tank.jpg

Both kits include the new TPP X Pod tank. It is a really different design from the prior PNP and TPP pods. The tip included has two o rings and a metal ring on the bottom that matches the tank. Below that is the new fill port design. You have to press the black fill port cap and turn the ring to the left and then the plug can be pulled away to fill the 5.5ml tank. The tank section is made of food grade PCTG. The body of the tank is made of stainless steel. The TPP X Pod tank uses the TPP series coils but has a wide range of compatible coils. The chart on top is from the Drag S Pro literature and the one below is for the Drag X Pro.

upload_2021-8-20_21-5-56.png

I of course preferred the .2 ohm coil in the Drag X and preferred the .3 ohm coil in the Drag S. It had been a while since I had used a TPP coil and forgot how good the flavor and vapor production is with them. I do like these coils and have tested them during prior reviews. The .15 ohm coil included with the Drag X is just out of my range of operation. I just can’t do more than a couple puffs at 80-100 watts. I just am not comfortable running higher than 60-70 watts even with 3mg liquids.

If you aren’t familiar with the TPP series of coils, they are a push and pull coil just like the original PNP coils but have larger liquid flow openings in them. I think both coil types were very good but have experienced some leakage with the PNP coils in the past. I have not up to this point experienced any leaking with the TPP coils that were included in both kits.

upload_2021-8-20_21-7-15.png

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I very much enjoyed testing the Voopoo Drag S Pro and the Drag X Pro. I like that the S has the large 3000mah battery and also like that the X can use the 21700 size battery for longer battery life especially when running higher settings.

The new features like the 360 degree airflow control, the One Button Switch, Auto fire, Gene 3.0 with boost circuit are all welcome additions to these devices. Also the new TPP X Pod Tank design is very nice in my opinion. To be honest it took me a little bit to figure out the new fill port design. I didn’t get at first that you needed to push in on the black tab in order to turn the ring and open the port for filling. I’m ecstatic that they moved away from the bottom fill port that was used on both the PNP and original TPP pods.

I even liked the included Drip tip which is usually one of the first things I would normally change. I do think that if I was going to consistently use this tank in auto fire mode then I would probably use a tip with a little more restricted airflow in order to get better performance from the airflow sensor. I felt like the tank produced very good flavor and vapor production but the airflow ring had to be mostly closed in order for the auto draw function to work well. Once I had it dialed in though I was pretty happy with it.

It has been promised that in the future users will be able to download an update so that temperature control will be available in the menu along with Smart and RBA modes. The cable that comes with the kit must be used in order to update and the triangle shape on the cable connector must be pointed down in order for the mod to update.

Here we are again. So, would I recommend the Drag S Pro and the Drag X Pro for you? I think it’s good that there are two options to fit those that have to have replaceable battery units and also fit those that prefer to charge an internal battery. I almost forgot to mention that the Drag S charges at 5v/ 2.5A which is a very nice charging rate but it is recommended to use the included cable from Voopoo. So, in conclusion, if you would like a very well performing pod mod with many coil options then Yes I would recommend whichever of the two would best fit your type of use. I’d like to thank Voopoo and Aimer for sending these two kits for this review and I have thoroughly enjoyed using them. As always, a big thanks goes out to the readers. Below are links to the Voopoo site for the two devices that were covered in this review.
