Introduction

Like many vapers Lost Vape were my go to brand for lower cost high end devices which accommodated the latest DNA chipsets but since introducing the Quest chip first in the alternative to the DNA Go Orion device they have mainly concentrated on lower priced devices. So in recent times DNA devices have become a rarity (thank goodness for Dovpo) for Lost Vape in preference to their own Quest chipset and moving from a lower end high end manufacturer to a higher end lower end manufacturer making their sister brand Modefined redundant!

The Grus after a few duds is a return to form with build quality that wouldn't look out of place if it had a DNA75C chipset under the hood. With a unique form factor and creative styling the Grus can accommodate either a 21700, 20700 or 18650 battery and accommodate up to a 30mm atomizer while also allowing a MTL smaller tank not to look out of place! The 100w max device has Power, Voltage and basic TC modes while also having 3 function buttons for easy operation, let's check out Lost Vapes best non DNA mod!!!!!

Aesthetics and Ergonomics

The Grus comes in quite basic cardboard packaging with a picture of the design of choice on the box. I received the Black Walnut Wood version which has a Black chassis and a Walnut Wood inlay either side, it comes in a choice of 3 colour chassis with either Carbon Fiber, Resin or Wood inlays, the options are SS Carbon Fiber, Gunmetal Carbon Fiber, Black Carbon Fiber, SS Zebra Wood, Gunmetal Walnut Wood, Black Walnut Wood, SS Jungle, Gunmetal Puzzling, or Black Marine.

If the device had come with the face on show in the box before lifting the device out i would of thought "here we go again more lack of creativity" as it's identical to the Mirage with round fire button at the top followed by the screen and then 3 rectangular function buttons followed by a Type C USB at the bottom all within a curved elongated pill shaped plastic vertical panel (sound familiar)! But as far as looking like any previous Lost Vape device that's were similarities end as this is such a unique looking design and only wish they could also show this sort of creativity with any new DNA devices which have disappointed in this regard!

The spine like the front is curved making this much more ergonomic than it looks, in fact it feels fantastic in the hand. With a Zinc Alloy main chassis and Stainless Steel both up top and for it's base plate this has a solid feel but is heavy especially for a single battery device. The sides have a raised curve down the centre which then has flat pill shaped inlays, this flattened central curve each side gives the device it's interesting form factor and aesthetic appeal. Up top we have a Stainless Steel cylinder that extends down from the 510 plate, the 510 is spring loaded. On one side of the cylinder we have "GRUS" and "LOST VAPE" printed on the other side.

Moving to the solid Stainless Steel base plate we have etched safety marks and a battery plate with stiffened pull out lever, the plate also has venting. The device is very high quality despite it's reasonable price tag and has no rattles whatsoever!!!

Fitting the Battery

The Grus has a solid Stainless Steel base plate and an old school style battery plate with fold out lever, we also see venting on the plate which is good to see! The lever is nice and stiff unlike some of this design that can be loose and i must say when unscrewing and retightening the plate the threading is noticeably very smooth. We have a spring loaded contact with + embossed at the bottom of the tube and - is embossed onto the underside of the plate and while in most light the - is easy enough to see i would rather it be in Bright White!



I like this method of installing a battery as you can't damage your battery wraps and is very secure even if it's slightly more time consuming than other methods.

The Grus will accommodate either a 21700, 20700 or 18650 with supplied adaptor, i tried both a 21700 and 18650 and had no battery rattle or movement whatsoever, cracking job!

The Display

The Grus has a bright, colour display with a coloured chevron two thirds down with the area above the chevron being shaded the colour that is set and below Black. The chevron, shaded area, and the words "TIME" and "PUFF" are in whatever colour is selected which will be explained in the next section.

Top left we have the battery status bar and top right the resistance, below we have mode followed by the wattage, voltage or temperature depending which mode you are using. Below the chevron to the left we have the duration of your puff and to the right the puff count, when the device is locked a closed padlock appears between vape duration and your vape count.

Finally at the bottom of the display we have a row of 6 different coloured squares, whichever one is highlighted will represent the colour of the already explained items on the screen! After 10 seconds of inactivity the display dims and after a further 10 seconds turns off but springs into life with a press of any button.

Navigating The Grus

The Grus is the usual 5 clicks of the fire button to turn on and 5 clicks to turn off and as mentioned after no activity for 10 seconds the screen dims and if no activity for a further 10 seconds the device goes into sleep mode. When in sleep mode any button press wakes the device up and there is no delay whatsoever when firing the device from sleep mode! The wattage adjusts in 0.1W increments from 5W all the way up to 100W but switches to 1W increments when the button is held down, it scrolls at a decent speed and round robins!

The up and mode (centre button) buttons pressed together locks and unlocks all the function buttons, when locked the device still fires. Down and mode together resets the puff count and each time the mode button is held down for 2 seconds the next colour square at the bottom of the display is highlighted and certain accents and information on the screen becomes that colour, the colour options are Cyan, Yellow, White, Red, Green and Purple.



Unlike the previous Quest devices which were Power only the Grus also has Variable Voltage and basic TC settings. Pressing the mode button highlights the mode and you can then switch between Power (Variable Wattage), Voltage (Variable Voltage), Ni, Ti or SS316 modes, the TC modes do look quite basic as i can't find anyway of either setting wattage or locking in the resistance!

If you do need to charge in the device i am pleased to tell you it has Type C USB but no idea of the charge rate as it isn't in the specs, manual or mentioned on their site, it doesn't support pass-through vaping!

My Thoughts!

I love the look of the device, in fact this is the most creativity i have seen from Lost Vape for a long while and it's build quality is beyond it's price point so i am sure i wouldn't be the only one wishing this had a DNA 75C fitted as the quality is all there and it looks great!!!!

As it is this is without doubt Lost Vapes best non DNA device and the Quest is an excellent Power chip that won't disappoint, not really a TC user with proprietary chipsets but it does seem very basic in that regard but i am sure someone will do a review covering the TC if that's how you vape!

It is heavy but very ergonomic even if it doesn't have a particularly ergonomic look, it fires out the gate and all buttons have a nice click! Being petty i wish the battery orientation was more clearly labelled but i love the style of battery plate used and it has both a nice stiff lever and silky smooth threading.



Up top we can fit up to a 30mm atomizer but unlike most devices that can fit large tanks smaller MTL offerings do not look out of place as i have been using it while testing various MTL RTA's and all have looked good in my opinion. We have a type C USB which is good to see but no idea of the charge rate and the Grus doesn't support pass-through if that's a necessity!

Being able to accommodate a 21700 which gives better top end performance and increased battery life will appeal to many (i must admit single 21700 are my favourite kind of device) but for those that still swear by their trusted 18650's then rock this with one of them using the supplied adaptor, everyone's a winner!

I am still shocked just how solid and well made the Grus is for it's price point which in my opinion makes it a sure fire winner!

Just about to treat myself to the latest aromarizer plus (have four of the previous version) and looking for a mod that fits these beasts. Currently use a tired Radar which was about the smallest lightest mod I could find that fitted a couple of years ago - any suggestions? Would love to stay as small and as light as possible.

Design and first impressions:

I received the Red Imperiale version, what I immediately noticed are the very small dimensions, the new device is very similar to the small Swag-1, the Swag-2 instead is the most bulky of all three.
With the Tank installed, the PX80 is certainly the most compact of the family. PX80 is extremely portable and ergonomic practically disappears in the hand.
Swag PX80 has a shell constructed of sturdy zinc alloy and weighs 100g, the Swag-1 weighs 113g, the Swag-2 is the lightest (70g) but is not constructed of zinc alloy.

As I said in the introduction the Swag PX80 has two completely different sides; the carbon look style IML panel acts as a screen and with the mod off completely hides the display from view. When you activate the button, the display magically lights up, you can read various information on the display; battery status indication, watts or volts depending on the mode you are using, graphic equalizer (purely aesthetic), Best range, Coil value, voltage, puff counter and duration of the last puff.
Visibility is good thanks to the enlarged fonts, in case of exposure to ambient light the reading of the display becomes more difficult but not impossible.
After 20 seconds of inactivity the display turns off and disappears from view, I love this technical aspect madly.

The display positioned laterally has the advantage of being able to be more dimensioned than the front ones.





The front section of the Mod is essential and bare due to the absence of the display, however the view appears pleasant.
Swag PX80 is equipped with a chrome Fire button, well worked and with good tactile feedback, the adjustment keys and the USB Type-C charging socket are arranged vertically.

The rear part has a recess for the palm of the hand and the handle is really comfortable.

I know you’ve been seeing a lot of me lately but received several kits at the same time for review so I’m doing my best to work through them. Today I will be covering a device that I had never heard of before but have grown somewhat fond of after using it for the last couple weeks. This device that I’m speaking of is the Artery Cold Steel AIO Pod mod kit. There are two versions of this kit. The first is the XP version that comes with two stock coils and a 4ml tank. The second is the RBA version and has a 2ml pod tank which is the one that I received. It has some really interesting features and accessories that I enjoyed experimenting with. Before I get too much into it, let’s take a look at what was included in the kit I received and see what the features are of this kit.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

I really liked the packaging on the Cold Steel AIO. I thought the gold and black packaging made for an attractive look. The top lid does not go down completely over the bottom portion of the box so it makes it easy to grip the bottom while pulling the top off. Once off, inside a found the gun metal version of the Artery Cold Steel AIO inside with the pod already on and the RBA deck inside the pod. To the side was a long skinny box which contained the 18650 battery adapter, 510 thread adapter, a ni80 coil, some o rings, and the user manual. The packing list on the website mentioned four silicon air reduction parts but none were in my kit. I have a feeling that it was a misprint and that they are included in the other kit which I did not receive.











I find the mod itself rather nice looking. It is all metal and honestly I was surprised at how heavy it is. It comes in at almost nine ounces on my scale. That is with the 21700 battery installed. On the front of the mod is the fire button at the top like most mods. Next is the display screen which is a standard .96” color screen with some different color options. The screen shows the wattage set, coil resistance, puff counter, liquid detection, and battery level. Also below the wattage is a lock/unlock symbol depending on whether you have the device locked. Below the display is the + and – buttons. On the bottom of the mod is a threaded battery cap with a clearly marked – sign on the threaded cap to indicate how to install the battery and next to that is the USB-C charging port which seems to me to be a really odd place to put it. That being said, I’m guessing that it is only intended for upgrades and not charging unless it’s an emergency since it will fit 18650, 20700, and 21700 batteries. On the left side of the mod “Cold Steel AIO” is stamped into the metal and below that the words “Designed by Artery” are printed. That is the only branding on the mod. Near the top of the mod on each side are three airflow holes. Where the pod connects there are two electrical contacts that are recessed inside the top of the mod. To the rear of the opening is a third spring loaded pin or sensor. This is where it somehow senses the liquid level to prevent dry hits. This of course only works with the pod and not with the 510 adapter.

The user menu is not hard to navigate but there is quite a bit there. I’ll cover the basic operation below and then get a little more into details.

The mod does allow the user to change the color schemes. The available colors are white, orange, purple, blue, and green. After pressing the fire button three times to enter the menu system, the choices can be scrolled through by pressing the + or – buttons. The first level options are Power mode, Temp mode, Voltage mode, Bypass mode, Curve mode, Power lock/unlock, E-juice test on/off.

Once Power mode is selected then you have the option of Soft, Normal, or Strong. The Temp mode has the usual options of Stainless, Nickel, Titanium, and TCR. Curve mode allows you to set a custom power curve. It’s a little difficult to set but I did use it and liked it with the included coil in order to provide a preheat to ramp up the coil quicker. The Power lock/unlock was on lock when I first tried to use the device and it kept me from going above a certain wattage setting depending on my coil resistance. Very similar to smart mode on other mods I’ve tested. The E-juice test on/off was off when I received the kit. I did end up turning it on in order to test the feature. There is a pin on the mod that meets up with the contact on the pod to sense the liquid in the pod tank. If it gets too low then it will prompt you to refill the tank. This is an interesting feature and I’m not really sure how it works but it does. That being said, the sensor is on the opposite end of the tank from the coil so when you tip it to take a vape, the liquid moves away from the sensor. This can cause some premature notification but isn’t a big issue. Also, the tank is slightly tinted but liquid level is easily seen so it’s not really necessary to me in this instance. However, it’s nice that Artery is trying to provide a new feature and maybe they will use it on future releases.






Now let’s talk about the pod and RBA deck. The pod only holds 2ml which is a bit of a con for me. The coil included for the initial build required me to run near 30 watts and it wasn’t long before I needed to refill. Definitely would have liked to have seen a 4ml tank on this unit.

The pod is not held in by magnets. You put the tip end of the pod down into the mod first and then snap the fill port side down into the mod. It latches in place very tightly and will not come loose by accident. To take the pod off you have to press the release button on the pod to lift it off.






The RBA deck has four screws available but is a single coil build deck. It was very easy to build the included coil on and trim it. The wick needs to be cut just long enough to go in the slots cut out on each side. I did not need to thin the wick and all and it wicked fine the entire time I used it. The deck is just a slide in like most of the new coils and has an o ring on the deck to make it seal as to not leak. After a couple weeks of use I did get a little bit of liquid under the pod but it was easily wiped up.





I was glad to see a top fill port on this device but I do have a complaint on it. Once you slide the fill cap out to fill the pod, the opening is recessed enough that it made it difficult to fill with a standard 10ml plastic bottle. A longer tipped bottle would work much better. Also when filling I got a little vacuum reaction going on where I could see the pod was not full but the opening was blocked with liquid. When I slid the port cap closed then any liquid inside that recess would come out the top and I would have to wipe it off.





The drip tip on the pod is replaceable but the silver ring is not part of the tip so it protrudes out the top of the pod so not all 510 tips may look right on it. I found the included tip to be plenty comfortable and didn’t feel the need to change it out.

The kit included a 510 adapter for the mod that actually has a dual purpose. I feel like Artery really put some thought into this kit. Yes the adapter locks in just like the pod so you don’t have to worry about your tank falling off once screwed in. Also there is an adapter included in the kit that allows you to thread the RBA deck onto it and then screw the adapter onto the mod 510 adapter for building and firing the coil before inserting the RBA into the pod. This is a nice feature in my opinion.





FINAL THOUGHTS:

I really feel like Artery put a lot of thought into the design and features of the Artery Cold Steel AIO kit but find that the execution was a little lacking on some things. It was very nice that there were 510 mod and 510 RBA adapters included for building and using the unit as a standard mod.

I like very much how the pod locks in and does function well. I would have preferred a larger liquid capacity and would have rather seen the fill port flush with the top of the pod rather than being recessed so much making it difficult to fill without a long tip bottle or making a little bit of a mess. The liquid sensing function is a neat design feature but not really necessary when you can see the liquid level so well. I guess it might be handy if you were out at night or not in good lighting then it could save you from dry hits and having to rewick the deck.

The mod itself is a bit heavy but feels nice in the hand. It’s all metal and should be pretty durable. It has a lot of features but you can either use them or not. If you just want to run in power mode then you can do that. You may need to go into the menu and turn off the power lock to make it fully adjustable. The buttons feel nice and don’t rattle at all. I am considering ordering more of these for myself just to use as 21700 mods.

Would I recommend the Artery Cold Steel AIO for others? I think I would. Even if you don’t want to mess with the pod and RBA deck then you still have a really solid feeling 21700 mod that can be used with any tank.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS


After opening up the package then sliding out the inner box gave me the first look of this kit that had the key components sitting in the usual foam cutouts with the mod, extra coil, 2 drip tips, type-c charge cable with extra o-rings. Your warranty card and user manual lay on top of them. Lost Vape supplies 2 coils with the 0.2Ω that is rated for between (40-60w) being pre-installed within the pod, the other coil is a 0.3Ω that is rated for (30-40w). Also included are two 510 drip tips with one having a very narrow bore that would be used for MTL and the other having a much wider bore used for DL OR RDL. The color that was sent for this review is the Gunmetal/Ukiran Leather that has a attractive wild design but is not a spongy type of leather at all.





To remove the pod from the device just pull up on it, 4 magnets are used to connect the 2 together. The Thelema ships with the 0.2Ω mesh coil pre-installed and has a protective orange sticker attached at the base to prevent a accidental firing, this must be removed in order for the device to operate.

After removing the protective sticker remove the coil by just pulling it out. These coils are Push and Pull type of coils. If you choose to use the other supplied coil you will have to unscrew the coil ring at the base that is the devices airflow selector. Be careful not to lose the control ring because if you do you will lose the adjustability of your airflow, and don't forget to reattach to a new coil when changing. Don't forget to prime your coils and let it sit for 5-10 minutes after filling with juice.





The Thelema gives the user a few choices in the adjustment of airflow with a couple of holes being one of them and a slotted channel that can be dialed in to your desired airflow choice.






Both of the supplied coils are mesh with my preference being the 0.2Ω for warmth and better flavor, the 0.3Ω takes a little while to break in before flavor improves, after about 2-3 pod fills flavor does improve but IMO it does not improve to the 0.2Ω level. I had no problem with vapor production from either coil except the 0.3Ω was not as pronounced as the 0.2Ω .





As far as the pod itself goes it's a top fill and I'm happy for that but I have all my juices in 100ml bottles and because of the orientation of the fill port I have to remove either drip tip in order to fill the pod, smaller bottles or glass drippers will have no problem. There really is no other place to put the fill port on top, but the side of the pod would have worked but then to fill, the pod would of had to be removed in order to get to it so I'm happy it is where it is.

The fill port cover opens easily and can be rotated out of the way when filling your juice and it has a big opening allowing air to escape when filling making it a mess free pod. You will notice in this picture that the device is laying flat/front side down and you will see a cutout in the device at the top with the wood grain of my dresser being able to be seen through it, this is the juice view window of the pod but because the pod sits in away from the cutout as well as being tinted you can't really see the juice level in the pod requiring removal of the pod to see your juice level.





The Thelema itself as a whole system feels very solid and not cheap by any means and has some heft to it without being heavy feeling, the weight seems appropriate for a device of this size. The Thelema is a bit on the tall side of devices in this category but sits solidly on a flat surface without falling over easily, the base holds the device in place nicely. Looking at the base it appears to me that it might have been originally designed for a replaceable 18650.





As I said earlier I consider the Thelema device I received to be a attractive looking piece with a wild design that some might not like but I do. The material the Thelema is made out of is zinc alloy which is why it feels as solid as it does. There are only 2 locations of branding on the Thelema with both locations being on either side of the device. The branding gives it a nice look having some texture with LOST VAPE engraved on one side and THELEMA engraved on the other side. The top of the device on either side has slots cut out for your air supply.







The front of the device is where your juice window, display screen, fire button, adjustment buttons and type-c charge port are located. Starting at the top is the useless juice window with the fire button below, under the fire button is your display screen with wattage adjustment buttons below it, the charge port is at the very bottom.

The fire button as well as the adjustment buttons are clicky without being noisy and perform fine and the display screen is bright with the numbers and letters being sharp and vivid. The Thelema offers the user to choose from 6 different color choices for the background and they are as the little squares at the bottom of the display show - blue, yellow, white,red, green and purple that I have as my background color.





As I mentioned earlier this is a wattage only device that really has no menu to it only a few button combinations that I will cover now.

FINAL IMPRESSIONS


Well folks I think I've covered everything and have to say that the Thelema has worked fine without any problems showing up other than the juice viewing window and having to remove the drip tip when filling. There is a nice selection of Ultra Boost Coils that can used in the Thelema but I only tried the 2 that came with the kit and have no prior usage of the other coils.

I hope that in the future a 510 adapter plate becomes available because having the choice of using your own tank would be a big plus. I have enjoyed using the 0.2Ω coil and found my sweet spot at 44 watts with no need to increase. Battery management is very good also.

Airflow is smooth and I found that the 2 hole setting worked great for me giving a warm RDL vape. The supplied wide bore drip tip was what I used in testing this kit and found it functional as well as comfortable and saw no reason to use one of my own. Ok, so, I live in a state where they started tightly regulating vale juice. I haven’t made my own in almost 4 years but I figured I’d start again, save some money cuz what little flavored juice you can find at the few stores that absorb the fines is at a markup. I used to be good at it but I also used to basics love at the vape store and also build all day long religiously so, there’s that too. ok, enough of my life story.

I made a few flavors and al went well except for one. I made it a long time ago but I’m getting different results now. It is a blue raspberry flavor. no sweetener, I don’t like the Sucralose and it preserves coils that way. 70/30, 20% flavor mixture 3 parts blue raz sour candy to 1 part blue raz. Touch of menthol, you get a blue raspberry slushy. I swear it worked once upon a time ago. Well, something weird is happening. I did only steep it for a few days, like 3 or 4, but it’s not wicking, or maybe it is, but no vapor hardly at all, and immediate burnt taste. In fact, I tried wicking a new coil with it yesterday. Waited 10 minutes after priming, fill up the tank, start at 60w, small tip, nothing, I don’t think much of it cuz it’s a 110w coil, so I really rip it, and boom the coil is totaled. Load up new coil, and i prime with a different juice I made and it’s totally fine. Tastes great. I pop in the blue raz again, even mixed into the existing juice and I immediately have problems. Barely any vapor and now I’m not burning the coil out but it just tastes like a plant is on fire. So I thought, maybe something about this mixture needs to be thinned out. I load in some more PG and flavoring which is PG based, wait a day. Come today. It’s worse than yesterday. Now not very little, literally no vapor is coming out and I can’t get a half hit before I just get a nasty plant like taste.

I can rule out sugars because there is no sweetener, I can rule out viscosity because it’s now more like a 60/40, and I can rule out a bad coil because other juices are fine. It’s just this one flavor, which is a shame because this one is my favorite.

does anyone know what might be going on with this and have any ideas on what I might be able to do to fix it? I am super confused by this. I can do complex math in my head and some how it’s making blue raz vape juice that’s making my head hurt.

I’m glad to be back again today with a very nice pod mod called the Lost Vape Thelema pod mod kit. It was sent to me by Sourcemore in order to do a fair and honest review. I have just within the last month or two become more familiar with Lost Vape hardware having purchased a couple of the Grus mods and an Ursa Quest kit. My initial impression after trying those two is that they make some well- built equipment. Enough about those two. Let’s go down and take a look at the Thelema Pod mod and I’ll give you my input on it.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging on the Thelema is nice and simple. The outer cover slides off exposing a lift off box top. However, unlike almost every kit I open with this kind of packaging, Lost Vape had the forethought to have cut outs on each side of the box lid so you can easily grip it by the sides and remove the box top. Most kits you have to shake or wiggle the box top to get it off. It’s a nice touch that they thought of it. After removing the top, underneath I found the black with Ukranian leather Thelema pod mod with the pod on it and the .2 coil pre-installed. Also on nice thing was there were two drip tips included with the kit an MTL and a DTL tip. Of course, also included in the kit was the USB-C charging cable, user manual, and some extra o rings for the drip tips.





In my opinion the Thelema is a very classy looking mod. I’m pretty sure that it is real leather that is used on this mod. Some mods have a leather look but don’t feel or look like real leather. This one does. It doesn’t seem as padded as some do underneath. I’m not usually a big fan of red on mods but love the red leather on this one and the designs and textures stamped into it are truly beautiful.

On the front of the mod going from top to bottom is first what is supposed to be a viewing window for the liquid level but honestly I can’t see the level through it. Looking through the opening to the tinted pod, it’s just too dark for me to see the level. Below that is the fire button which just sticks out a little bit from being flush. Next is the .96” TFT color screen followed by the + and – buttons and finally the USB-C charging port on the bottom which is rated for 2 amps for charging the mod since it has an internal battery which is rated at 3000mah and a maximum of 80 watts. Facing the screen, to the right is the Lost Vape name and on the left is the word Thelema both etched into the metal frame. On the back and wrapping around the sides some is the beautiful leather wrap that I mentioned earlier. Also there is a fairly large opening on either side of the mod to allow for airflow and you can even see the coil ring through it.

The display on the Thelema reminds me of the screen on the Grus. It has a proprietary Quest chip but I’m not sure if it’s the same one as the Grus. On the screen at the top is a battery level indicator with the coil resistance to the right of it in very small font. A little too small for me. Below that is the word Power followed by the wattage set and a W below that. Next is the puff time and puff counter. On the bottom of the screen is a series of colored dots indicating the colors available for the display. They are light blue, yellow, white, red, green, and purple.

Operation of the Thelema is as follows:

• Five presses of the fire button to turn the device on and off
  
  
• Press the + and – buttons to lock the adjustment buttons but the mod will still fire
  
  
• Press the fire button and the – button to reset the puff counter
  
  
• Press the fire button and the + button to change the screen display color
  

For the most part, I liked the pod used on the Thelema. It has a 4ml capacity which I think is a good size for a device like this. It has replaceable drip tips and came with two. One for MTL and one for DTL. The coils included with the kit are the Ultra boost series of coils. Included was the M4 coil already installed which is .2 ohms and rated 40-60 watts and the other tip included was the M1 coil which is .3 ohms and rated for 30-40 watts. I found myself running both coils lower than the recommended wattages. I was running the M4 at 36 watts and the M1 at 22 watts. I felt like both coils performed well and gave pretty good flavor and plenty of vapor production. One other nice thing about this device is there is an RBA deck available for purchase separately so you aren’t locked into buying coils if you don’t want to.

One thing I absolutely loved about the pod was that it is top fill. Way to go Lost Vape! You don’t have to remove the pod to fill. So many I’ve seen lately are all bottom fill. The rubber plug for the fill port has the word OPEN on it and has an arrow pointing to the direction to pull the plug from. That’s another that a boy for Lost Vape.

On the bottom of the pod are four strong magnets which match up with the inside of the mod along with two gold plated contacts for electrical contact. Once you get the pod close to being inserted, the magnets will pull it in by themselves. The pod is somewhat tinted but I can still see the liquid level when the pod is removed but just cannot see it through the viewing window.

The coils are actually a push in but there is a collar that screws onto the coil before pushing it in and it has the airflow slots built into it for adjusting the airflow.







FINAL THOUGHTS:

I very much liked testing the Lost Vape Thelema Pod mod kit. To me it just screams quality and is has a very attractive appearance. From the real leather wrap to the metal frame it seems to be a quality made device. Some might say it has too much branding on it but I don’t mind the etching on either side. I’ve used it for almost two weeks and have had no issues with it and nothing more than a little condensation under the pod.

The mod is not heavy and not light. It’s a good weight for a pod mod. The screen is bright and being able to change the colors of the display is a fun feature. After reviewing a couple of mods that don’t do it, It’s nice to test one that does allow you to fire with the adjustment buttons locked.

It has a 3000mah battery with a 4ml liquid capacity. To me that is a pretty good match up with what the coils are rated for that are included in the kit.

I simply love that the pod is a top fill. I do however wish that I could see the liquid level through the viewing window in the pod while it is installed but it’s too dark. I think there would have had to be an opening in the back as well as the front to allow enough light in to see the liquid level. That is really the only con I found with this device.

And here we are at the end again. Would I recommend it? If it’s a well-made and attractive looking pod mod that you’re after with an available RBA deck and enough features to make most users happy then yes I would recommend it. It has been trouble free for me during my testing period. I did not receive the RBA with it for testing so cannot comment on how well it works but would like to try it some day.

Regarding the Berserker V1.5. Please keep in mind this is a dripper with an optional squonk pin. To me, it’s the best MTL squonking dripper out there. The airflow inserts are such a great idea. The V2 berserker RDA to me was a downgrade. I bought the V2 a while back and promptly resold it.
