Right just ordered a thallos S after having and Rpm80pro which I bloody love but after ordering mtl coils for rpm2 I was wondering if there's an rba or can I use standard rba for thallos ( rpm & rgc rba)

Salt nic build- rpm rba 10-12mg nic level between 0.28-0.35. I kinda want a better build then mtl 0.4. And it's a small work area

Just want to say hello , 7 years smoke free here however finding the perfect device is getting really hard , hope you guys aren’t having the same problem

I just want to ask is rda are safe to smoke i smoke from last 9 years only use subohm tanks yesterday i buy rda tank but now im little bit scared because when i smoke i see the wire goes red and comes out thats the thing i was scared from. Please tell me is there any issues with rda or not and are they safe to smoke.

I "successfully" quit vaping for 2 month. It actually wasn't that bad, I was able to fill the void with music/gum/walks. Right now I have 0 physical temptation to vape.

But there has been many stressful situations and I feel without the vape it made everything harder. To me, it's not that I had to have it, but it was something enjoyed. And taking it away made life a little less fun. It's like saying you can never eat candy or drink coffee again.

The only reason I quit was for the health benefits. I heard vaping can cause COPD but then I also hear it's a lot less harmful than smoking. But here's the thing that really demotivates one from quitting vaping:

1. We are not sure how harmful is it (if at all)
   
   
2. There are many other things bad for us in life, like air pollution, asbestos, etc. Is it worth giving up something that you enjoy for a marginal health benefit? I vape at a low wattage so I don't think I'm getting lots of formaldehydes.
   

I'm really thinking about going back to vaping. I think I'll vape a few more years and if news comes out by then that vaping is truly really bad, then I'll quit...

I don't know... it's not like we are going to live forever even if we don't vape/smoke/do anything unhealthy...

The Nfix-mate has a square shape; the frame is made of aluminium alloy with diagonal cut outs on each end. It feels very nice on the hand and is quite small.

It has a 1100 mAh internal battery that can be charge using the USB C provided, it charges in around 90 minutes. When charging the device shows battery percentage and time remaining.




At the top it has the pod and pod placement with two contacts and two strong magnets to hold the pod in place. No rattling whatsoever and I can lift the device by just holding the pod. There is no way this pod is coming out by itself.

At the front is slightly raised power/wattage selection button. This device is draw activated.

On the side it has a 0.69'' OLED Screen, on the top right have “SMOK” branding, on the opposite side at the bottom it has “Nfix-mate” branding, at the back we have a hole at the top for the cap lanyard or if preferred the long lanyard.



At the bottom it has the USB C charging port and some warnings signs.

The display on the device is simple. The main screen shows Ohms, Puff counter, Watts, Volts and Battery percentage.

To on and off the device press the fire button five times. If you press the power button twice it wattage will blink, then by pressing the power button you can change it to what you want and round robins, which is nice.

To reset the puff counter, hold the power button and pull off the pod.



A very simple display and menu with all you need for your basic operation of the Nfix-mate.

Pods

The pods are made of PCTG with 3ml capacity, and it has a rubber plug at the side of the pod to fill. It is easy to open and hold while refilling, the liquid will move easily inside the pod. I used a 10 ml and 100 ml bottle with no issues at all.

The pods are slightly tinted and it is easy to see the liquid level. Overall, all pros here for me.




The pods provided are:

• Nfix Meshed 0.8ohm Pod (3ml) - Recommended 10-15W
• Nfix DC 0.8ohm MTL Pod (3ml) - Recommended 15-25W

Both pods provided with the kit I will consider them a loose MTL with one capable of being used at lower wattage resulting in the battery lasting a bit longer. On both the flavour was good and I didn’t experience any leaking but like I do with any pod system if not in use is better to remove the pod from the device as a precaution.



NFIX-MATE

Positives

• Alloy frame and nice finish. It feels nice and it looks good.
• Small.
• It has a display and can change wattage.
• Very simple interface, easy to use.
• USB C charge port.
• Strong magnets.
• Three types of pods to choose from.
• Good flavour.
• Fill port is at the side of the pod and is easy to fill.
• No leaks.

Negatives

• Only replaceable pods.
• Draw type mostly loose MTL.

Wishlist

• A pod with interchangeable coils with a wider range so it could cater for true MTL and RDL vapers.

In conclusion, I would recommend the Nfix-mate device for a beginner or as a carry around for those who like loose MTL. I have to give SMOK a thumbs up for creating such a small device with a display and adjustable wattage.

First - The Disclaimer:

I am not a professional writer, nor professional reviewer of any products/product lines. Over the past few years - the only reviews or suggestions I have made were at the time which I believed I could provide information or add something to the conversation. What’s more important, anything I said was – or will say, is – “My” Personal Opinion . . . So if you want to know what it is to experience this product from a personal perspective – "Mine" - then we’re good.


Now - As usual when testing any vaping equipment I use my ADV of Unflavored 50/50 24 NIC w/Koolada (sometimes 1-2 Drops of “Menthol Crystal Liquid) added to provide a "Cooling" Menthol effect. Also, I evaluated any equipment based on “My” experiences after using numerous different products for the past 9 years, first as a dual user then becoming a full-time vapor 2 years ago.


By now people know, I do not just jump on a product to just write a review without taking the time to actually test the product fully . . . So - For anyone interested in a more formal description and specifications about this product should check these links from Innokin about the Innokin Sceptre MTL/DL POD MOD & Sceptre Super MTL POD/MOD:




Now - This will not be a typical review, because as you can read in the discription and speciifcations linked above both the Sceptre MTL/DL POD/MOD & the Sceptre Super MTL POD are very similar to one another. So I strongly suggest, that if you haven't already, you should also check out my previous review about The Sceptre MTL/DL POD/MOD:



As you will notice at first, the Sceptre body/size has not changed, nor has the sleek design and feel of the materials used - Innokin Quality All The Way (Yes - I'm a "Fan Boy" ).








However, the outstanding changes between both Innokin Sceptre products is a major change in the New MTL POD itself and the New Sceptre Mesh 0.65 MTL Coil:

As such, this review will mainly focus on the new Super MTL POD & Mesh 0.65 Coil.



THE NEW “Super MTL POD”:



To be honest and make a fair comparison of the 2 different PODS, both were set up with the usual ADV E-liquid I use and the same Sceptre 1.2 ohm coil. Both PODS were adjusted to the same “Airflow” control level, from all the way open (to the right DL) and then restricted (to the left MTL) each time it was being used for this comparision. BTW: The “Airflow” Adjustment controls are very easy to use – no hang-ups and no difficulties moving from side-to-side, even if you have sensitivity problems with your fingers.

Fully open the original MTL/DL POD was very airy and talk about vapor production – way too much for me. It was only when I turned the “Airflow” adjustment of the original POD to the halfway point, that I could notice some similarities and the differences between the two PODS better.

As I started lowering the “Airflow” control of the original MTL/DL POD even further, I found that with it half way closed and the New Super MTL POD fully open, they seemed exactly alike in both “airiness” and Vapor production. It wasn’t until I had the original MTL/DL POD “Airflow” adjustment almost totally closed that I noticed where the New Super MTL POD “improvements” took a turn for the better and how effective the New Super MTL POD would be for someone wanting a more restricted airflow and possibly tighter draw.

I found the new Super MTL POD, to be much better at controlling the airflow and vapor production. While the airflow was limited at the lower setting I had, the "taste" and "Kooling" effect of the e-liquid I was vaping was quite evident. However, the vapor itself (which was still a little to much for me) was not "HOT" at all. I realize smaller and shorter "drags" were necessary to keep the vapor production at somewhat a minimum and to my liking.

BTW: Just as an FYI > IMHO - Closings off the airflow to it's lowest setting will be like "sucking" a thicker liquid thru a straw for some . . . However it was not bad - I found the best setting somewhere between the middle and to the far left at almost the lowest setting. And - For those who prefer an "Airier" draw I would suggest leaving the control lever fully to the right.


The New ” Mesh 0.65 Coil”:

PLEASE NOTE: I do not normally use – nor like sub-ohm coils for many different reasons. No matter, what I did in the past week and as I write this review - what setting – nor how much I tried, I could not find anything positive to say about this coil. Matter of fact, I had a somewhat bad reaction using the Mesh 0.65 ohm coil when vaping – as I have had with other sub-ohm coils (felt like I was getting way to much nicotine - even though I was still using 50/50 24 mg Unflavored Nic w/ Koolada, vapor was to "warm", and there was no “Kooling” TH for "Me"). Given this, I do not believe I can fairly evaluate or judge the Mesh 0.65 ohm coil.

I am sure there will be others who have used sub-ohm coils, particularly the Sceptre 0.5 Coils - that could give a much better evaluation then I can at the moment. So I would appreciate it - if and when someone does try the new Sceptre “Mesh 0.65 ohm Coil” - if they would leave a review too.

AND - A suggestion for Innokin: It would be nice if there was a New Mesh Coil that's higher ohm and not just sub-ohm - a 1.0/1.2 ohm Seaweed Fiber Cotton coil would be nice to try in the future . . . Just Sayin' . . .



So in conclusion:

At times, it amazes me how a minor change - can make such a major difference.

Simply put - The New Innokin Super MTL POD - works for “Me”, especially if I want a less airier draw/vapor then the original MTL/DL Sceptre POD provides. It just works . . .

Overall, another "KUDO" for Innokin, especially for listening to their consumers and making the right adjustments - no mater how minor - to meet their NEEDS.




BTW: For those who already have an Original Sceptre, the Super MTL POD is available and will fit. . . . Matter of fact, Innokin has both the Sceptre 0.65 ohm Super MTL POD & 1.2 ohm (with 0.5 ohm) MTL/DL PODS for sale for $4.99 here: Sceptre Pod 3ml

For those that are not familiar with Oxva is worth mentioning that is a fairly new company which has grown largely since it started over a year ago, why you might ask, in my opinion because they are innovative and above all they listen to his followers to make improvements on their devices. Their CEO is Justin Lai was the co-founder of Geekvape as well as the designer of the Aegis line and Zeus Tanks. I am happy to share once again my personal opinions with our vaping community.

Mod

The Velocity Kit in their own words ”The OXVA Velocity is the smallest single 21700 box mod featuring creative 510 connection. It's a perfect box mod, also an excellent pod mod with flavourful no leaking Unipro coils”. Personally I don’t this this is the smallest single 21700 mod in the market as I have seen smaller ones. It comes in a variety of colours Black Leather, Brown Leather, Carbon Fiber, Black Marble, Rose Gold and Gold Ripple. Mine is the Black Leather one.

The Velocity comes with OXVA Photon chip, with a buck-boost converter PCBA to offer more efficient and stable output when battery level drops. OXVA Velocity box mod is powered by a single 21700, 20700 and 18650 with the battery adaptor included with maximum of 100W output. The Velocity mod features what OXVA calls “a creative 510 connection”, which doesn't come off when you unscrew the tank.

OXVA Velocity mod supports 3 modes: Smart/Power/Voltage modes to meet vaper's needs.

OXVA Velocity is can be used with all OXVA coils, backward compatible with previous ones which is a plus. This kit can use the new Unipro coils (0.15ohm/0.3ohm and Unipro RBA) and Unicoils (0.2ohm/0.3ohm/0.5ohm/1.0ohm and Unicoil RBA). Worth noting that the Unipro RBA coil which is sold separately is the first MTL and RDL RBA due to the insert provided and airflow ring with different airflow options to suit true MTL vapers and RDL as well.

At the top we have the 510 connector and the pods, these are held in place by four strong magnets and two gold pins connectors.

At the front it has at the top three air slots in an oval shape, just below a square fire button, then a very bright colour screen, below the screen are the up and won buttons and the USB C charging port. It always recommended to use an external charger.

On one side we see the zinc alloy frame and the black leather padding, at the back at the top we see again three air slots in an oval shape and at the bottom right side “OXVA VELOCITY” branding.

On the other side we see the same black leather padding with the word “OXVA”. Its nicely done because it doesn’t stand out in a bad way. Very subtle.

At the bottom it has a slide to open battery door with vents and some warning signs.


The battery compartment has a latch type of connection to open and close. Also has clear markings for battery polarity inside in bright red. I just wish the minus sign would have been coloured. In the picture below you can see the 18650 silicone battery adaptor, which when in use it doesn’t rattle at all. Works really well with no rattle at all. Well done.


Worth mentioning that I did have some unexpected opening of the battery door, not during daily use, only when by chance I slide the mod over a surface. Also when this happened and put the battery back in and closed the door the mod came on which I think it shouldn’t happen. Justin Lai CEO of OXVA is aware of some Velocity mods showing this with the battery door, he and OXVA team assured me they are working on a solution. He also listened to my concern about the mod turning on when putting the battery back after the unexpected opening of the door. This could be hopefully fixed by a firmware upgrade. It happens because the chip remembers, to avoid it at the moment a possible solution will be to remove the pod or tank. In my opinion this should not happen at all, could lead to firing the mod by accident.

The Velocity 510 adaptor clips firmly in place and the only way to release it is using the tool provided, once this tool is screw onto the 510 it has to be tilted to release the adaptor. Also it could be done by tilting the attached atomizer. This tool can also be used to remove the coils as per picture below.


Overall, the velocity has a great feel to it, slight rounded edges, elegant, feels sturdy and comfortable to hold.

Display

The size of the display 0.96-inch OLED Screen. It is simple, very bright, it has relevant information and is easy to use. On the main screen we see OXVA logo on the top left, top right battery indicator, below wattage, under it shows mode and then ohms, volts, time and puffs.

To on and off the mod press fire button five times.

To change between the menu options, you press the select button three times, once inside using the up and down will give the following options:

• Smart – Smart mode set the watts to suit the coil and can only go to max VW for that particular coil.
• Power – 5W to 100W, goes up in 1W increment and round robin.
• Voltage – 0.5V to 8.0V
• Color – There are six colour schemes available to suit your preferences.
• Exit

If buttons up and down are pressed at the same time it locks and unlock the device while the mod is still able to fire.

Pressing the fire button and up button together it will take you straight to the colour options for the screen. Pressing the fire button and down button together it will reset the puff counter.



Pods

The Velocity comes with two pods, the new Unipro pod and the Unicoil pod used in previous OXVA devices making it backward compatible with unicoil series, both with a capacity of 5ml. They come with a 510 Drip tip, the pod uses press fit coils and it has a rubber plug on top of the pods to fill, the fill port is large so I didn’t experience any problem filling the pods, in saying so with bigger bottles the user might want to remove the drip tip for easier filling. If the user wants to use their own can fit a drip tips with O-rings on them.

The kit comes with only one adjustable airflow ring which screw on at the base of the coils, if you change coils make sure to take off this airflow ring which will be then screwed onto the new coil. The pods are slightly tinted but I can still see the juice level without any issues.



The coils provided are:

• Unipro Mesh Coil 0.15ohm – Rated for 60-80W (for use with Unipro Pod)
• Unipro Mesh Coil 0.3ohm – Rated for 30-40W (for use with Unipro Pod)

Always remember to prime coils first, press fit the coil into the base, then screw on the airflow ring, fill with juice of your choice, and let it sit for at least 10 minutes. Just to make sure the coil is fully saturated.

I used first the Unipro Mesh Coil 0.15ohm, a DL coil, at that high wattage the vape became too warm for my liking. In saying so the flavour was excellent with good clouds.

Then I tried the Unipro Mesh Coil 0.3ohm which is rated for lower wattage, once I adjusted the airflow ring to my preferred airflow it was great, good RDL and a not to warm vape with excellent flavour.

I didn’t have any coils to try the Unicoil series so I can comment on those but just looking at what is available there are a few options that I think will suit me and vapers who prefer lower wattage.

It’s great to see OXVA included the Unicoil pod which gives more choices as to what pod and coils we might want to use to tailor it to our preferences.

OXVA Unipro RBA Coil

The Unipro RBA Coil is a separated purchase and a well worth one to have; it comes with everything you need to build it. In the box you will find a shoelace cotton, one premade 3mm ID coil (Ni80 0.3Ω). A screwdriver, spare O-rings, additional screws and a Φ1.5 MTL airflow reducer for true MTL, a different airflow ring which provide different airflow options (Φ0.8 Φ1.0 Φ1.28 Φ1.5, RDL) and a narrowed drip tip. Also comes with a 510 adaptor to build on.

This DIY coil is a single coil RBA it features bottom airflow, it has four screws which means it doesn’t matter which way your coils are build (clockwise and anti-clockwise) will fit in. I made sure the coil was centre over the bottom airflow and slightly raised, dry burned and got rid of any hot spots, then I used the provided shoelace cotton and cut it slightly above the bottom edge of the wicking ports (blue O-ring), thinned the wicks by fluffing them. Wet them to get it started, screwed in the top part of the RBA coil and used the provided airflow ring to get a nice RDL. I am now using this RBA deck on the Unipro pod. It works great, excellent flavour, no wicking problems and no dry hits.



OXVA Velocity Kit

• Battery door opened while moving the mod on a desk, not while using it. This will be addressed by the team at OXVA.
• When battery is placed back inside the mod turns on – Fixable by removing the pod or tank, I also believe it could be fixed by a firmware upgrade.

In conclusion, for the price (under $50) you get a well-rounded device which comes with an array of different accessories and backward compatible with previous coils using the unicoil pod. Is a well-constructed mod-pod device with several designs to please every vaper in term of taste. It has plenty of accessories to cover a wide range of vaping styles and preferences, pod/mod, including an RBA coil which I love. Well done OXVA.

I've been using uwell caliburn for 3 months without a single problem like 7-8 months ago. But then a problem occurred which made me taste really bad while and after vaping. I tried new cartridges, new liquids, new flavors but none of them solved my problem. The problem is it tasted so bad like very sour taste. Before it happened, the taste was beginning to feel like spit. then it turned to a sour taste which even if I brushed my teeth after only one puff, it didn't go away. so I had to quit vaping and turn back to smoking. Now I bought smok nord 2 and the spit like taste came in after 20-30 puffs. I'm afraid I will experience the same things again. By the way I know it wasn't just tasting nothing because it was really awful. I tried licking lemon for a very long time without vaping, used mouth wash and everything but it didn't solve my problem. Even after I quit vaping, normal cigarettes started to taste sour too for a while. If the problem occurs again do you have any suggestions to fix it?
Note: I %100 believe it isn't caused by mouth hygiene because I'm already sensitive about my mouth hygiene and I also drink a lot of water everyday.
Also one of my friends tried taking some puffs with another cartridge from the same uwell caliburn when i had the problem but they didn't have any taste problems.
