ISO - RY4, at least 70% PG

It's been a long break ECF, but I am in need of help, and you are my only hope.
I did some searching through here before posting, but everything I'm finding is many years old, and/or the businesses have closed.

ISO a good RY4, that is at least 70% PG.

When I first started vaping, I went through e-Smokey-Treats for his RY4.
Sadly, that came to an end. Still heartbreaking.
After rambling around, someone directed me to IndigoVaper, and I was shocked to see they closed down right around Christmas. This was a fantastic relationship, as being old school, I'm more about the throat hit than the plumes, and they would up my PG to 70%.

Now, I'm on a hunt again for a RY4 that is not only close to traditional RY4, but provides a good throat hit.
Oh yeah; and is still open for business.

Thanks for your help!

Asvape Hita Ink Pod Mod Kit - Review

Hi ECF members, In this review i take a look at the Hita Ink Pod Mod Kit from Asvape. The Asvape Hita Ink Pod Mod Kit was supplied for the purpose of this review by the Healthcabin.

https://www.healthcabin.net/asvape-hita-...25552.html

Introduction

Asvape were founded in 2016 and have never in their 4 years of manufacturing flooded the market with countless products but tend to focus more on quality at an affordable price and have released a few gems in their portfolio. The idea behind the Hita Ink is combining three previous Asvape devices, the Hita Pod mod with the form factor of the Strider and the illustration style of the Michael. The Hita Ink makes use of the previous Hita pod and coil heads including the RBA while introducing the new 0.3ohm coil head. The power only simple device has fully adjustable airflow, a type C USB and comes with a choice of illustrated finishes with either a Silver or Black frame, let's check it out!!!!

In The Box

Contents:

Asvape Hita Ink mod
Pod
0.3ohm Mesh coil
1.0ohm Mesh coil
2x Drip tip (MTL & RDL)
Type C USB Cable
Warranty Card
Social Media Card
User manual

___________________________________________________________________

Aesthetics and Ergonomics

The Hita Ink comes in a presentation box with everything neatly placed in their own compartments. The device is a mini pod mod which just gets swallowed up by the hand having a cylindrical spine and classic C-frame form factor, very ergonomic!!!! There is a plain Black option for those not into their illustrations but i am fine with these as they are not exactly Mickey Mouse or Scooby Doo but based on Chinese Mythology so are cultural! I received the Tao Wu design with a Silver frame, the design options are Quiong Qi, Tao Tie, Tao Wu or Hun Dun and come in a choice of Black or Silver frame.

The device at 100g is a nice weight and the design is raised and has a slightly rubberised feel to it. I am not exactly sure what the coating is but these raised designs and coating are also what we have seen on the Asvape Micheal, VSticking VK530 and Pioneer 4You iPV V-IT, so if anyone knows exactly how these raised coatings are done and what the tactile coating is i am sure people would love to know!

On the face we have a Black domed fire button then further down two side by side smaller domed navigational buttons. Between the fire and navigational buttons we have a large display and then right at the bottom a Type C USB port. On the base we have printed safety stamps and branding then moving up top we have the polished amber pod protruding, on the device each side towards the top we have a small airflow slot.

The device is extremely well made and i must admit when i first opened the box i immediately said to myself "this is nice"!

The Pod

The pod is cylindrical and up top we have a raised 510 fitting with pre-installed 510 tip which is more frosted than the polished pod and has an inner bore suited for a RDL vape. In the bag of goodies you also receive a more polished tip with very narrow MTL bore but you can also fit your own 510 if you prefer although due to the raised fitting some might look a bit funky although i found the Expromizer drip tip looks and works great with it. On the pictures you can also see how the coil head is also the chimney and just how close it is to your mouth so the vaper has very little distance to travel.

The pod is very transparent and most protrudes outside the device so your e-liquid level can be seen at all times. To one side we have a Black Silicone plug with an arrow showing where to lift and once lifted a generous fill port is revealed, you need the pod on it's side but it can be filled quickly and mess free!

Moving to the base with the 0.3ohm coil head pre-installed we can see the central positive and negative ring and then an outer magnetic ring which is fixed to the retaining base ring which is removable.

___________________________________________________________________

Fitting The Coil Head

The pod has a retainer ring on the base which attaches to the pod with a bayonet fitting, this ring both contains the airflow and makes the pod much more leak resistant than similar designs. The new 0.3ohm coil head comes as one but with the 1.0ohm coil head the lower base section unscrews so don't throw this bottom section as this is needed when getting more of the 1.0ohm coil heads, this bottom section is also included if buying a spare empty pod! The pod assembly just gets press fitted into the pod and then the retainer ring needs a quarter of a turn to secure in place.

As well as the included 1.0ohm coil head and 0.3ohm coil head there is also a 0.6ohm coil head and an RBA. I don't have the RBA but it seems to come with an adaptor to build and pulse your coils using the Hita Ink and looks just like any other 510 pod mod adaptor so i assume using this you could also use standard atomisers unless it doesn't fit well, again would be interesting if anyone has one?

There are no specs given for the coils other than they are all mesh and the resistant is etched on to the head, even more confusing is the 1.0ohm coils seem to actually read at 1.2ohm and although on the website it only mentions 0.6ohm coil heads i am finding 0.5ohm coil heads for this on some sites!

___________________________________________________________________

Fitting The Pod

Looking inside the bay we can see the Gold plated, spring loaded positive and outer negative contacts. We also see the magnetic ring which will line up with the one on the base of the pod. looking at the pod we have a little tab one side which lines up with a recessed rail to allow movement with stoppers for airflow adjustment. When lowering the pod in the bay just turn and you will feel it drop into place, it fits very securely needing a tug for removal.

___________________________________________________________________

The Airflow

The device has a narrow slot towards the top either side which lines up with slots on the pod when inserted. Due to the retainer ring the airflow is enclosed which is much better than on similar pod mod designs and having the side of the pod adjusting directly to the outer slot you don't get the air leakage as you do on fancy designs such as the Voopoo Drag X etc! As mentioned the pod has a tab that moves along a recessed section so turning as far as it will go one way is fully open and as far as it will go the other fully closed but you can see the pods slots through the outer slots so adjusting precisely is no problem, excellent adjustable airflow design!!!!!!!!

___________________________________________________________________

The Display

I really like the display on the Hita Ink, it might be a mini pod mod but it has a sharp, bright, large colour display which is well laid out! Top left we have "HITA" which i really wish this area was used to show the battery status as a percentage and then top right we have a battery status bar, underneath the top half of the display is completed with the wattage in nice large font.

Below to the left we have a padlock in either a closed or open position depending on the status of the device. To the right of the padlock we first have the resistance and then the voltage below. At the bottom of the display we have the puff count and finally below vape duration.

___________________________________________________________________

Operating The Device

The Hita Ink is a wattage only simple pod mod which can be adjusted from 5 to 40w in 1w increments and doesn't round robin! To turn the device both on and off is 5 clicks of the fire button within 2 seconds and once on the device can be locked by pressing up and fire together. When locked the device will not fire which for me is a con and the second mini pod mod in a row that has this annoying feature (i just want the navigational buttons to lock, if i didn't want to fire it i would just switch it off with 5 clicks)! The only other feature is the puff counter which can be reset by pressing down and fire together.

The device uses smart wattage which is becoming standard with pod mods of late so for example when i install the 1.2ohm coil head (labelled 1.0ohm) it automatically adjusts to 12w, what i prefer with the Hita Ink compared to the Argus Pod Mod i just reviewed is this doesn't limit wattage adjustment which is much better for when using the available RBA coil head.

___________________________________________________________________

Protections:

Low Voltage Protection
Overtime Protection
Over Temperature Protection
Low Resistance Protection
Short Circuit Protection
E-Liquid Leak Protection

___________________________________________________________________

Charging

The Hita Ink has a Type C USB port and 1A charge rate allowing the battery to be charged in less than 2 hours which for a 1500mAh battery is a little slow, it also doesn't support pass-through. A large charging progress bar is displayed while charging but the charge isn't given as a percentage or estimated charge time left so pretty standard!

___________________________________________________________________

My Thoughts!

When it comes to mini pod mods with an in-built battery this is the best i have used to date and compared to the Argus Pod Mod as a direct comparison then the Hita ink knocks the socks off the Argus especially when it comes to a MTL option!

I actually like the raised colourful designs and the tactile feel of the coating, the device just gets swallowed up in the hand making it great for out and about! The smart wattage feature i find better on this as well as adjustments are not restricted so will be much better with a rebuildable option. This is a more restrictive device than the Voopoo offerings so if you prefer a wide open draw then the Voopoo will be more to your liking but for those preferring a restricted draw or MTL you have no need to look any further!

The airflow adjustment just works so much better on this without the air leakage you get from the more complicated Voopoo design and with the retainer ring the air is much better directed making for more precise adjustments and smoother draw. The only criticism is with the 0.3ohm coil which once closing the airflow down more than halfway the flavour starts suffering but when fully open this gives a smooth RDL with flavour now to match the Voopoo PnP coils and can be adjusted down as far as halfway retaining good flavour. I personally think the 0.6ohm coil option with the airflow on the Hita Ink will give a great RDL option so will have to get some of those coils.

I like the flavour the Voopoo PnP coils give but i did say when i reviewed the Argus Pod Mod the flavour was down with their MTL coil but not with the Hita, the 1.0ohm coil head (actually 1.2ohm) gives absolutely cracking flavour. Wide open it gives a loose MTL but can be closed down for both medium and even tight MTL draws, the best MTL pod mod option i have used to date!

I really like the large screen on such a small device and you can fit your own 510, Type C USB is another pro and the 1A charge rate seems to be an average rather than max rate because this charges in 1 hour 40 minutes but doesn't support pass through!

The only real cons i have is i have to stay consistent and say needing to remove the pod to fill, also when using the 0.3ohm coil the 3ml capacity doesn't go very far. I also hate the whole device locking rather than just the navigational buttons! When it comes to battery life it's pretty good with the 0.3ohm coil head but very good indeed using the 1.0ohm (1.2ohm) coil head lasting pretty much all day!

Both RDL & MTL 510 tips included
Can fit your own 510
Pod fits very securely
Excellent adjustable airflow design

Probably switching to MTL from DTL style.

New here from Texas, not really new to vaping but been realizing I might have just been doing it the way I don't prefer the whole time. Been using box mods for a while like the smok gpriv and my latest one, the vaporesso polar just .... the bed. Went and picked up just a little temp pod one while I browse around for a new one and why is it so much more satisfying? Been smoking these big DTL style ones for a while and it seems like the couple times I've had to get one of these dumpy little temp ones they're oddly more satisfying. TL;DR version at the end.

Things I've realized..
1. I prefer a tight draw that simulates as close to the feel of a cigarette as possible.

2. I find huge clouds obnoxious both in that they give me coughing fits and when I want to hang with people or watch a movie/show I want to take a drag and not look like i just set the house on fire.

3. I've never ONCE used the million tweaks and features on those digital screens, aside from changing the voltage and that's just I've tried different coils ironically trying to get the low-cloud cigarette like feel and struggling.

4. I still have plenty of bottles of liquid here and I would greatly prefer something with easy refill options as I can mix flavors and easily pick my nicotine levels, etc.

5. Portability/form factor is a lesser factor to me. Having a smaller pen form factor is a bonus, but 95% of the time I vape is at home or in a relaxed setting where i don't have to carry it in my pocket. I absolutely don't care if its designed to look like a real cigarette with light up tip gimmicks or whatnot, as long as it hits good.

6. Battery life isn't a huge issue for me again for the same reason above, vast majority of time when I'm vaping is when i have easy access to a charger/power outlet.

So yeah, tl;dr looking for a high quality product of something with a tight cigarette-like draw, low cloud production, no LED with a billion settings menus, and refillable.

Greetings from Holland

Hi there, I am new to this forum. Almost 8 years ago I quit smoking thanks to the joyetech ego. Never touched a sigaret again. The last 5 years mixing my own liquid and building my own coils on several RTA's. My favourite setups at this moment are the Zeus RTA on my Aegis Solo and the Serpent Elevate on my Puma Baby mod. I am an active member on a dutch vaping forum and hope to share my experience and receive good tips on this forum too!

Beware of Everzon

Attention, do not buy on the Everzon site, they are scammers, I spent 120.00 plus the surcharge for shipping with DHL express! A day goes by and nothing no confirmation email or traceability, I thought saw and considered that it is New Year the site is offline, okay, it arrives day two with a confirmation and a code Traceability, I put it on the site and nothing appeared, day 3 I update the DHL website and the message appears "the label has been created we are waiting for the delivery of the package" Day 5 the story does not change, same writing on DHL, so I decide to write to the French DHL website to find out more who confirm the message, saying "if the sender does not deliver the package to us, we cannot send it to him" (how to blame him) Day 6-7-8-9-10 I repeatedly contact Everzon's customer service and I take the piss off saying it's DHL's fault for not updating the page. I personally have always had An excellent experience with DHL in whatever state I was. From today or started writing that I want my refund and that I don't want the package anymore, I'm waiting for developments DO NOT BUY FROM EVERZON !!!

My new Rose v3 4ml tank for your 2ml tank

I got a brand new unopened rose v3, the standard (4ml?) Size but I want the TPD version which is the nano 2ml size.

Perhaps you want to trade your nano chimney and tank for the standard chimney and tank.

I'd even pay your shipping!

If I can't find it I will prob sell this.

Is a low wattage bad for my vape ?

Hello everyone, i bought a new vape 24H ago because my first one was terrible.
And when i use the recommended wattage for my resistance. The tast in my throat is pretty agressive.
Recommended : 40-60 Watts
Using : 26-30 Watts
So i wonder if using a too lower wattage can be bad for my resistance;vape itself.

Also i want to know if i use if i puff aproxymatly 0.5s is bad and i should make it more long.

Thanks (I don't know if its a duplicate, sorry if yes.)

FreeMax Maxpod Circle review by Resistance

Greetings fellow vapers.

The FreeMax MaXpod Circle.
nokia 671.jpeg

image0.jpg

Box with specs. and warnings and warranty cards, two pods and a silver chain.
IMG-20210109-WA0015.jpeg

Now being a pod system lover myself due to ease of use and the fact that MTL rocks!. I have nothing bad to comment on this little pod.

The shape might be odd to some and it might only appeal to certain vapers, but I had no problem walking around with a medallion around my neck.

That said, the flavour off this little device doesn't fall short of its predecessors. Compared to the (Originally released) MaXpod, I must say that the flavour I got is slightly better and coupled with a better throat hit.(subjective)

The 2ml capacity pod utilizes SaltCoilTech 2.0. The NS Mesh with a combination of tea fiber cotton and organic cotton 66.66-33.34% ratio that can be used with both salts and freebase MTL liquids. (non replaceable coil) but can handle 6-8 refills. I have refilled more than that on fruit flavoured e-juice and the flavour is still good.

Out of interest sake and curiosity a 3mg DL juice performed wonders in there- Adequate vape coupled with a rather unexpected satisfying throat hit.
IMG-20201027-WA0007.jpeg
The 1.5ohm NS Mesh coil was designed with flavour in mind. Its compatible with most flavour profiles of various viscosity and can handle 50/50, 40/60 and 60/40 salts juices and 70/30, to 80/30 freebase juices.

It is draw activated (easy draw), but has the option to be button activated . The switch also switches the Maxpod on and off with 5 clicks. Using the button also secured a warmer and richer vape than without the button (subjective ,but not by much). Probably because it fires before you actually draw on the pod. Either way the vape off the Circle pod is still good.
IMG-20210109-WA0013.jpeg I’ve used this Circle pod solely as a main vape for a day and then coupled with the (original) MaXpod for a few days and I had no disappointments. Charging is quick enough +/- 35mins and it lasts majority of the day on a single charge despite it only sporting a 550mah power pack.
IMG-20201102-WA0000.jpeg
Its is a 3.7V, constant output(10W) pod and towards the end of the battery cycle there's a slight voltage drop (barely noticeable), but at that time its about time to recharge the pod.

The pods are smokey, but clear enough to see the juice level and when its low the pod can be tilted to inspect. Upon removing and inserting the pod a white light flashes. And when charging a solid green light and then flashes at the last bit of charging and then finally cuts off when full. Refilling is easy through the side of the pod and the rubber bung closes the fill port perfectly.

The pods are leakproof and not a drop condensation throughout usage.
IMG-20210110-WA0016.jpeg IMG-20210110-WA0015.jpeg Operating lights are green, blue and red. We all know what a red light means (recharge)

All in all this is another great release by @FreeMax.

I am using it every day either as a main or as backup.
IMG-20201029-WA0001.jpeg
Will I recommend it, Yes. This is a good backup for the MTL vaper or the MTL vaper only using pods systems and will be an awesome vape for the times when clouds are a big No (stealth vaping).

This is my views after using the Circle pod. Vaping differs from individual to individual and could be quite subjective.

I would like to thank @FreeMax and Tina from Freemax for allowing me the opportunity to review the Maxpod Circle. I have also used this Maxpod circle for+/- 2 months without issues.

Further info can be found on the Freemax site www.freemaxvape.com/maxpod-circle-kit/

Quit vaping for 2 month, made a less happier person

I "successfully" quit vaping for 2 month. It actually wasn't that bad, I was able to fill the void with music/gum/walks. Right now I have 0 physical temptation to vape.

But there has been many stressful situations and I feel without the vape it made everything harder. To me, it's not that I had to have it, but it was something enjoyed. And taking it away made life a little less fun. It's like saying you can never eat candy or drink coffee again.

The only reason I quit was for the health benefits. I heard vaping can cause COPD but then I also hear it's a lot less harmful than smoking. But here's the thing that really demotivates one from quitting vaping:

  1. We are not sure how harmful is it (if at all)

  2. There are many other things bad for us in life, like air pollution, asbestos, etc. Is it worth giving up something that you enjoy for a marginal health benefit? I vape at a low wattage so I don't think I'm getting lots of formaldehydes.
I'm really thinking about going back to vaping. I think I'll vape a few more years and if news comes out by then that vaping is truly really bad, then I'll quit...

I don't know... it's not like we are going to live forever even if we don't vape/smoke/do anything unhealthy...

IMG_0608.jpg

The Nfix-mate has a square shape; the frame is made of aluminium alloy with diagonal cut outs on each end. It feels very nice on the hand and is quite small.

It has a 1100 mAh internal battery that can be charge using the USB C provided, it charges in around 90 minutes. When charging the device shows battery percentage and time remaining.

info battery.jpg

At the top it has the pod and pod placement with two contacts and two strong magnets to hold the pod in place. No rattling whatsoever and I can lift the device by just holding the pod. There is no way this pod is coming out by itself.

At the front is slightly raised power/wattage selection button. This device is draw activated.

On the side it has a 0.69'' OLED Screen, on the top right have “SMOK” branding, on the opposite side at the bottom it has “Nfix-mate” branding, at the back we have a hole at the top for the cap lanyard or if preferred the long lanyard.

IMG_890.JPG

At the bottom it has the USB C charging port and some warnings signs.

The display on the device is simple. The main screen shows Ohms, Puff counter, Watts, Volts and Battery percentage.

To on and off the device press the fire button five times. If you press the power button twice it wattage will blink, then by pressing the power button you can change it to what you want and round robins, which is nice.

To reset the puff counter, hold the power button and pull off the pod.

A very simple display and menu with all you need for your basic operation of the Nfix-mate.

Here are some specifications and protections for this little device:

Pods

The pods are made of PCTG with 3ml capacity, and it has a rubber plug at the side of the pod to fill. It is easy to open and hold while refilling, the liquid will move easily inside the pod. I used a 10 ml and 100 ml bottle with no issues at all.

The pods are slightly tinted and it is easy to see the liquid level. Overall, all pros here for me.

filling-coils.jpg

The pods provided are:
  • Nfix Meshed 0.8ohm Pod (3ml) - Recommended 10-15W
  • Nfix DC 0.8ohm MTL Pod (3ml) - Recommended 15-25W
IMG_0769.JPG

Both pods provided with the kit I will consider them a loose MTL with one capable of being used at lower wattage resulting in the battery lasting a bit longer. On both the flavour was good and I didn’t experience any leaking but like I do with any pod system if not in use is better to remove the pod from the device as a precaution.

NFIX-MATE

Positives

  • Alloy frame and nice finish. It feels nice and it looks good.
  • Small.
  • It has a display and can change wattage.
  • Very simple interface, easy to use.
  • USB C charge port.
  • Strong magnets.
  • Three types of pods to choose from.
  • Good flavour.
  • Fill port is at the side of the pod and is easy to fill.
  • No leaks.
Negatives
  • Only replaceable pods.
  • Draw type mostly loose MTL.
Wishlist
  • A pod with interchangeable coils with a wider range so it could cater for true MTL and RDL vapers.
In conclusion, I would recommend the Nfix-mate device for a beginner or as a carry around for those who like loose MTL. I have to give SMOK a thumbs up for creating such a small device with a display and adjustable wattage.

I would like to thank @SMOK_Sophia for sending this device for me to review and share with the community.
