Hey all!

I'm Jamie. I've tried to get into vaping and to quit smoking for the last few years until I found a device and liquid recently that seems to satiate me. Today is 2 full weeks without a cigarette after no less than 30 years of smoking consistently. I haven't been cheating either. No tobacco whatsoever. I'm pretty proud of myself, and I'm going at this with full force...I refuse to go back to cigarettes again. Strangely enough, after spending a decent amount of money on a mod and tank and juices and EVERYTHING a couple of years ago, I found my salvation a couple of weeks ago in a little smok novo with salt nic. I feel like I can keep this going forever and the no smoking anxiety is basically zilch. I'm usually a forum lurker.... so this may be all I say for a long while, but it's great to meet ya all, and I'm happy to find a common place here.

asMODus X Ultroner - Luna Squonker - Red

On the Luna…

I'm a huge fan of Stabwood mods as I am a Joiner by trade so they kind of have a good feel and represent me in terms of my career. They all look different and I haven’t seen one yet which is identical. So that’s something else. Ultroner has been big on this scene a while now and knows how to make it right. With the likes of asMODus helping out it sure is a good collaboration to have…

resize_DSC_0996.JPG
resize_DSC_0997.JPG

Out the Box

The Mod comes in 7 different colour options Green, Red, Purple, Blue, along with Mosaic White, Black and Red. Which gives the buyer a chance to show off with their RDA tanks. The kit retails at $59 USD and £45 GBP. But there are huge savings in places in and around the UK and China.

The battery requirements are 1 single 18650

The mod is an unregulated device that works on the power of the battery you provide where it will work down its cycle based on the overall battery life etc. usually above 3.3v, which is explained further down.

The kit includes two spare bottles.

Always at the bottom of the box are the user manuals along with a warranty card.

resize_DSC_0998.JPG

The Build

So, let’s start out with the shape, it’s a rectangular box design which is very light and feels great in the hand. Its constructed from Aluminium outer protection and the main material used is Wood. The action of the slip bottom housing is great and it’s very sturdy which I like a lot. For me the design is great, and it fits well into my hand no problems.

A 510pin located offset but central to the mod, which would only carry a 25mm tank nothing is really needed any bigger I used mainly the STNG RDA as I thought it would best suit the configuration. And the safety would be much more on the user's side. The battery is house under s screw bottom which is made of SS and this has a fold-down flap so you can tighten the battery in place.

To operate you click normal 5 times to switch on and off. The ramp-up time is really quick and there seems to be a minimal lag in the battery to the RDA which is great. There is no option to alter the wattage as previously stated as it will automatically work through the battery cycle. I roughly got 1 and a half days out of one single battery which was good I thought for an RDA and Mech mod.

The squonking bottle which is located to the front of the mod. This is very easy to squeeze and seems to work a treat every time using. Taking the bottle out if you need to change liquid is a nightmare its seal is really good and can cause issues I would ensure that you keep an RDA to change anything as it will result in less mess. The bottle is removed by a magnetic cover that comes away easily and then it is pushed in action.

The chip protects the user from these issues:

• Negative Polarity; the LED will flash green when you install the battery correctly, the LED will not flash if installed incorrectly.

• When the user’s battery hits 3.3v the mod will shut off, protecting the mod, battery health and most importantly, the user; the LED will flash RED five times indicating your battery is at 3.3v.

• The mod will automatically shut off when firing the mod for over 10 seconds to prevent any auto-firing moments

• The LED will flash red if the Luna detects a short in the user’s atty

• When the Luna Squonker mod reaches over 85 degrees, the mod will shut off automatically to prevent any accidents

Pros

· Quality workmanship

· A good weight

· Great feel to the mod

· Easy squeeze

· 6ml capacity

· Consistent power output until the battery is nearly drained (safety protection)

· Stylish

· Head turner stabwood

Cons

· Hard to remove the bottle

· Bottom magnets for bottle holde not strong enough

Conclude

I'm a huge fan of squonkers and this is an amazing addition to my collection. This has been a dream to review and worked a treat from day one. The Stabwood finish is awesome, as it ages with time which is pretty decent as it gracefully ages.

The battery life is really good especially when you are using an MTL RDA as it doesn’t weaken the battery hardly.

Overall, asMODus/Ultroner well done this kit is one to buy, if I broke it would I buy another? Damn right I would it is great and I love the design. Plus its 6ml which is much better than most tanks at the minute! Now please be sure to go out and try it and or even better buy it if you’re after a single battery squonk, it a good price in the UK and worldwide at the moment.

Nunchaku 2 problems anyone?

Heyya!
So i already asked the brand manager, and was referred to support. here:
UWELL Nunchaku 2

meanwhile wondering if anyone else has had this problems with the mod (and the other one in the tank; i got the kit, but won't repost in the tnak thread)

the less important and manageable one is the tank leaking after filling, esp. with 50/50 eliquid_ seriously profusely, i over-up the wattage and chain 10 minutes to stop it. It gurgles and leaks thru air, right into the charging slot and down

more importantly, the fire button sticks inside, i think it sort of jams under the case, though having tested applying pressure in different direction while i fire, it's quite unpredictable, so unavoidable. it's done it 5 times a day on average since i got it. fires continuously while stuck, until press it again with enough pressure.

anyone else got this?

btw. the moniter isn't 100% clear and the digital frame is uneven as well..

Nautilus AIO coil sticking

Hi All,
I just replaced my Breeze2 with a Nautilus AIO. I was having some problems refilling juice, when I noticed that when I try to remove the coil, I unscrew the chimney and the coil stays stuck in the unit. It does not come out with the chimney ring when I try to remove the coil fore replacement. Anyone else having this problem?

Minding Your mAhs Ep23 uploaded – Batteries and water = Danger?

Minding Your mAhs Ep23 has been uploaded to my Battery Mooch YouTube channel.

Many people say it is dangerous if a Li-Ion battery is dropped into water. Is this true? What about something more conductive? I do the tests and find out.

Tank atty vs rda

I have a TM 24 pro. I threw In a pair of Juggernauts just for astetic reasones.
I also have the geekvape mesh pro atty. With some, (most) juices I get a better flavor from from the mesh pro. With the TM24 pro and the Juggernauts I obviously get significant more vape. But my tank atty gives me more flavor. I fear pushing the 24 pro with the Juggernauts past 120-130w just because of the batteries i current have. Is it just the Juggernauts giving me the lower flavor or what? I have other coils, the alian, interlock alian, and the staggered fused Clapton. Is it the coil, our just the cloud chucking RDA o have.

Age verification required when ordering zero nic.

Now I've seen everything. I put in my ENTIRE order including my credit card number and THEN they ask for age verification! I'M ORDERING ZERO NIC! They asked me to do some garbage with a cell phone and my driver's license. I take pictures with a camera, not my phone. That was after they claimed they could verify my age as long as I gave them my real birthday, which I did. I'm thinking of cancelling my credit card and filing a police report. I've been vape shopping since 2011 and have never been put through such malarkey FOR ZERO NIC. I'm 60 years old!

Battery Question - how long do they stay charged when unused

I have decided to keep one of my mods with the battery removed in a spare purse. I had the bright idea that I'd keep 2 batteries charged in a plastic case. This way if I switch purses, I do not have to worry about forgetting my mod and, if I do, I will have a spare one.

So --- approximately how long will the batteries (21700) stay charged without being used?

Order#SMAA076954

Hi there I ordered a Coil art mage mech mod from sourcemore back on October 19th. It’s my first time using sourcemore and I’m just a little worried something has happened to my package because the tracking number doesn’t work to track my package. Also it shows order as complete on the website. Should I be worried? Is there anyway to track my package? When I click track order it only gives me the tracking number again which doesn’t work when I paste it into 17track.

Order number is
SMAA076954
Tracking number is

Thanks for any replies I’ve been excited to get this package and keep seeing other great deals from you guys but obviously don’t want to order anything else until I receive this first package I ordered.

VandyVape Mesh V2 RDA

Hi ECF members, In this review i take a look at the Mesh V2 RDA from Vandyvape. The Mesh V2 RDA was supplied for the purpose of this review by Viktor from VandyVape.

http://www.vandyvape.com/atomizer/rda/at...sh-v2-rda/

Introduction

Since VandyVape released the Mesh RDA atty's using mesh have moved on making it look quite outdated, so here we have it the updated Mesh V2 RDA which has had quite a substantial overhaul.
We now have honeycomb airflow that gets angled towards the mesh and much deeper juice well. The diameter has been increased to 25mm allowing for a wider strip of mesh, the wider clamps and greater distance between the two means a much increased surface area for both more vapor and flavour. Lastly of course we have the now mandatory spring loaded ceramic seat to keep the cotton fully in contact with the mesh at all times avoiding nasty dry hits. Coming with 4 different mesh strips so you can find your preference and available in 7 colours let's give the Mesh V2 a good look!

Aesthetics

The Mesh V2 came in Black Cardboard box packaging which on the side was marked Sample but everything listed in the contents was present. I received the Stainless Steel version which comes with a really nice Green Resin 810 drip tip installed, the colour options are Matte Black, Stainless Steel, Gold, Gunmetal, Shiny Blue, Rainbow and Frosted Grey.
On the front of the sleeve we have the same etched "M" formed by geometric shapes that was present on the original Mesh RDA. Towards the top of the sleeve we have dual honeycomb style airflow comprising of 2 rows of 10 holes so 20 holes each side in total.
The protruding top section of the inner sleeve has cog like teeth which both gives good grip while also adding aesthetically and as already mentioned the Mesh V2 comes with a rather nice 810 Resin drip tip. Moving to the base we have etched branding and safety stamps, the V2 comes with a standard, Gold plated pin pre-installed.
The 25mm in diameter RDA is quite heavy with thick walls, very solid indeed so no issues with build quality!

___________________________________________________________________

The Overhaul

I think vapers can get tired of new versions of pre-existing atty's coming out when there is very little difference from the original both in design and performance but in this case the Mesh RDA has had a complete overhaul.
With the Mesh V2 RDA we keep the same angled airflow on the inner sleeve but now we have the smoother honeycomb offering on the outer sleeve inlets.
The deck section is where most of the changes have been made firstly with now having the spring loaded ceramic seat which wasn't present on the original. The post clamps are now both wider and set slightly further apart creating a higher dome so therefore much greater surface area. Finally we go from having barely no juice well to speak of on V1 to now having a very deep juice well making the Mesh V2 very squonk friendly.

___________________________________________________________________

It's Various Parts And What You Receive?

The Mesh V2 RDA consists of Goon fitting 810 Resin drip tip, inner sleeve/top-cap, outer sleeve and base deck section. It comes with a standard gold plated pin pre-installed but included is also a Gold plated BF pin.
You don't receive an alternative drip tip but you can fit your own 810 and also included is a 510 adaptor. You receive all the tools needed including a mesh bending tool which bends the mesh to the exact shape needed to install onto the deck.
You also receive 4 different mesh strips which is a massive pro which includes a SS316L Mesh strip giving a TC option. You also receive 2 6mm thick shoelace cotton pieces and of course plenty of spare screws and o-rings.

___________________________________________________________________

The Included Mesh

You receive 4 different mesh strips all 17x9.8mm in size. The different mesh strips are Kanthal Dual Mesh with a resistance of 0.15ohm and recommended rating of between 45W - 70W. We also receive a Ni80 Mesh strip 0.15ohm with a recommended rating between 55W - 70W and with yet again a resistance of 0.15ohm a single mesh Kanthal strip with a recommendation of between 50W - 65W. Finally to give TC users an option we have the SS316L Mesh which has a resistance of 0.12ohm and is rated between 50W - 70W.

___________________________________________________________________

The Airflow

The outer sleeve has 2 rows of 10 holes each side which is commonly referred to as honeycomb and when fitting the sleeve over the deck lined up with the coil the sleeve moves on a track with stoppers.
The top section of the inner sleeve protrudes out from the outer sleeve and has cog like teeth which gives really good grip. The inner sleeve has a slot each side that you line up with the honeycomb airflow of the outer sleeve. The slots are angled downwards and inwards aiming directly at the side of the mesh and moving the inner sleeve reduces the airflow closing a hole in both rows one at a time giving really good adjustability.
This way of closing the airflow down on some atty's i have does offset the airflow but with the Mesh V2 as we close the airflow down we can then turn the outer sleeve on it's track to line it back up perfectly with the mesh.
Another thing which i like about the Mesh V2 is the tolerances are absolutely spot on, when the inner sleeve is turned the outer sleeve stays put but when needed the outer sleeve can also be turned with ease, nothings too tight or too loose. Finally when looking at the inner sleeve/top-cap we can see it's conical shape which should encourage flavour.

___________________________________________________________________

Spring Loaded Ceramic Seating

The use of Mesh has become the way to go with stock coils upping the flavour and giving coils more longevity but mesh RDA's until very recently have not been met with the same enthusiasm being inconsistent with flavour and renowned for dry hits.
Mesh gives great flavour, yes that's just my opinion but it is an opinion shared with countless others but the mesh needs total contact with the wicking material and a combination of the flexible mesh and cotton which expands, then shrinks as it dry's and also can sag and change shape as it's constantly expanding shrinking and sagging means with all the best will in the world trying to keep the cotton touching the entire surface area of the mesh in the past has been a big problem. It has worked perfectly with stock coils as the cotton is packed between the mesh and the outer shell of the coil head so the cotton always covers the mesh surface area.
Then came along the Wotofo Profile and Mr Justright's solution the use of a spring loaded ceramic seat which sits directly underneath where the Mesh domes over from post to post. The Ceramic seat pushes the cotton against the mesh and has the cotton expands, then shrinks etc the ceramic constantly pushes the cotton against the mesh with the spring allowing it to lower or raise to achieve this. Such is the borrowing of ideas nature of vaping and lack of integrity since the Profile we have seen other manufacturers using the spring loaded ceramic seat. That's not a dig at Vandyvape as all vaping manufacturers without any regard to ownership of ideas use existing ideas constantly and as vapers we have actually benefited.

___________________________________________________________________

The Deck and Build

The Deck is very simple with a vertical sitting clamp each side for the end of your mesh to slide into. The grub screws are on the sides, so simply loosen the screws, slide your mesh ends evenly in place and tighten the screws, it's that easy. The grub screws are phillips heads so in my opinion better than flatheads but would of preferred hex but phillips are fine. To make it even easier you are supplied with a simple tool to bend the mesh around before fitting, it bends the mesh to the perfect shape (another copied idea from the Profile).
Before wicking pulse your mesh at about 15w (20w max) to get rid of any hot spots and burn off any residue from manufacture. Wicking is done very generously and you get supplied with 2 shoelace cotton pieces which are 6mm in diameter purpose made for wicking the mesh, the cotton is available in packs of 10 and previous mesh strips from Vandyvape are also available in packs of 10 so i expect it will be no different with the 4 different mesh strips supplied with the Mesh V2 RDA. What i do like with the deck is the very deep juice well so after combing through and giving your cotton ends a bit of a fluff up you don't need to be shy stuffing the cotton down into the wells.

___________________________________________________________________

How It Vapes and Thoughts!

I used 2 of the supplied mesh strips, the pictured build is the SS316L Mesh which i actually used with the BF pin installed on my Half Moons Mech BF Mod with the airflow half open. I also used it again with the BF pin and half open airflow this time with the Dual Kanthal Mesh on the Aegis squonk mod which i found best at 55W. Before using the supplied Mesh i did a build with the standard pin using NexMesh to get some comparison with the Profile and when it comes to flavour there really is nothing in it but i am finding the airflow smoother on the Mesh V2.
The 2 different supplied mesh strips i tried both gave flavour very close to the NexMesh with the Dual Kanthal Mesh pretty much matching it.
The Mesh V2 with airflow fully open gives plenty of air which can be adjusted to get the restriction you like and as already mentioned the airflow is particularly smooth.
Apart from the lack of Innovation as this as all been done before i only have one issue as it's a really good Mesh RDA. The issue is when swapping pins the ceramic seat and spring also comes off the deck which i found quite annoying, seeing has everything with the Mesh V2 is copied you would of thought they could of at least come up with some idea of their own so pins could be swapped independently of the ceramic seat.
Finally back to the pro's, the Mesh V2 really shines on a BF device, leak resistant with the high angled down airflow, deep juice well and the juice entering directly on the cotton below the mesh with the surplus entering the wells either side for your cotton ends to soak up.

Pizza Dave Delivers - A Squonk Kit Review - The Wasp Nano by Oumier

INTRODUCTION

_____________________________________________________________________________________

_____________________________________________________________________________________

Hello Everyone and welcome to Pizza Dave’s Vape Reviews and today I will be going over the Wasp Nano Squonk kit by Oumier. Ah yes, the Wasp Nano. It is one of the most beloved small atomizers ever made. For a while it was held as a pinnacle of great flavor for a cheap price, so why not just make a kit out of it? I can’t help but think that Oumier has been sitting around, watching forums and other online vaping media and found that so many loved that atomizer that they went for it and made this kit. It’s been out for a while, and for me, it seems to have flown under the radar. Now, it is my turn to give my opinion on the Wasp Nano Kit. Let’s get right to it eh?

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Gorgeous! That was the first thing that popped in my head when I opened the box. The mix of resin and brushed gunmetal work well together. It looks really great, even though the colors are a bit out there. If you like the color choices, you will love how this looks in person. The resin exterior has a honeycomb pattern inlay which plays off the Wasp theme well and the atomizer colors look excellent as well. This thing is solid. The feel in hand is excellent, and I couldn’t be more impressed by the overall fit and finish of this device.

_____________________________________________________________________________________

OPERATION

The overall operation segment isn’t going to take long. This is a non-regulated mechanical mode which features all of the protections we are used to seeing these days. Five clicks of the fire button turn the device on and off, and it features a small LED above the USB port to indicate faults and battery life.

BATTERY INDICATION

  • Green – above 3.9v
  • Blue – 3.6v-3.9v
  • Red – less than 3.6v

It doesn’t last too long once it hits the red, but being this functions basically the same as a mechanical mod, you will feel a drop off in vapor production and vapor temperature well above hitting the red. The amount of battery life you get will be solely based on what resistance you run, so I won’t comment on that here.

The only other tidbit of info you may want to know is about the squonk bottle. This features an 8ml bottle, which is the generic removable bottle hidden behind a magnetic cover plate which is well secured. The bottle is kind of odd though. On one hand, it has great knurling and a cap system which gave me plenty of grip for unscrewing without making a mess. On the other hand, it is sticky? The silicone on this is just sticky right away, and it has a smell. I didn’t chance anything with it and gave mine an alcohol rinse a good cleaning before I filled it up. It never proved to be an issue during use, and maybe it would have been just fine, but I didn’t want to mess around with it.

_____________________________________________________________________________________

HOW IT VAPES

The vape that you get from this will be 100% based on how you build it. The Wasp nano atomizer can provide some excellent flavor, but one issue with a single coil on a mechanically functioning device is dialing the right resistance for fast ramp up and higher temperature. I built mine with a few different coils and found the sweet spot to be right at about 18-ohms and not a ton of mass. It provided a warm, flavorful vape that was quite enjoyable. The Wasp Nano has been talked about so much that I don’t feel I need to go on and on about it, but it works well on this device. It is easy to build and wick, and the flavor is great for how cheap it is. The only thing I never liked about them is depending on the build, the air flow can get kind of turbulent or even produce a whistle that my dog does not appreciate. The thing can also get a bit spitty with it’s low stature. Luckily the kit comes with an extended tip which gets your mouth a little further from the coils. Flavor reduction is slight, but at least you don’t get a ton of spit back with it. With a single 18650, I was able to get through a full workday of use, which also equated to about 1 full bottle. Yeah, the vapor temp was dropping off around the end, but that is to be expected with a single 18650 device.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I have extremely mixed feelings about this device. To keep this from getting wordy like I often do, I am breaking it down into what I like and what I don’t like.

WHAT I LIKE – The fit and finish is excellent. The brushed metal look is done well, and the resin is unique on everyone. The button feels nice and clicky and the whole thing fits in the hand like a glove. The Wasp Nano is a cheap atomizer that just vapes well, and it pairs up well on this device.

WHAT I DON’T LIKE – The colors are unique, but they will not be for everyone. The squonk bottle is sticky, and I questioned liquid contamination at first. It takes some time to dial in just the right single coil for mechanical use. My least favorite aspect of this is the 18650 battery. I am spoiled by 21700s, as they last longer and offer less voltage drop.

Like I said, some mixed feelings. It feels so nice, and looks great, but it doesn’t offer anything that hasn’t been done before. I kind of look at it like a new Pico squeeze V1. The biggest let down on this is the 18650 battery. 21700s are superior in so many ways, especially for single cell devices. I would like to see this one reworked with a 21700 battery and more basic color schemes. I think the best judgement of if this device is for you comes down to a few simple questions.

- Do you like the colors?

- Do you like single 18650 mechanical-functioning devices?

- Do you like squonking?

If you say yes to all three of those things, you will love this device. Simple as that.

OVEN TEST

If I this were to accidentally fall into my pizza oven would I go out and get another? No, not this time.

Pizza Dave – Delivering real reviews, with no extra toppings

REVIEW CRITERIA: I use each item for about two weeks to ensure I have collected enough data to adequately write a review. I use the same e liquid in tanks or rdas throughout all my reviews to ensure that I am comparing apples to apples between all modern equipment. I do not post reviews until I feel confident that I have used it enough to give an educated review. The reason I started doing reviews was due to poor purchasing decisions in my vaping infancy about two years ago. Back then, I purchased several different pieces of hardware without really enjoying it and I hope my reviews can guide people into spending their hard-earned money more wisely than I did! ****Keep in mind that some items I receive may be pre-release and not in retail packaging. Quality may be less than the finished product and what is in the package may differ from the retail package as well.

Signature + TVC + DovPo = SQ Topside Review

The SQ Topside is, as the name suggests, and collaboration between Signature Mods (makers of the SQ217) and DovPo/The Vapor Chronicles, maker and designer of the Topside squonker. When the SQ Topside was announced to be released at the Vaper Expo UK in October...well...you can guess the number of folks that booth got at the expo.

Trying to get into high-end but information is scarce at best

Hello everyone. I've been vaping for almost half an year now and I've been absolutely loving it. I started with an aspire starter kit, then went to an aegis legend kit with a sub-ohm tank and now I've got 3 different RTAs (Zeus X,Profile RTA and Aromamizer Lite). As you can see I'm quite hooked on vaping / building in general. Over the past few months I've avoided making topics with stupid questions in them and have basically read and watched all the informative vids out there. As far as mainstream products go there is abundance of information and it's pretty easy for anyone to find their way.

Now to the issue at hand: While watching a review I came across a high end tube mod ( Dani 25 ) and I realized there is a whole `nother level to this ballgame. I want to get into high end attis and mods made in the west but it's hard to find even a list of high end brands let alone reviews on all of those. Basically my question to you is : If I have money burning in my pocket and I want to buy something cool how do I know what's good and what's basically a ripoff?

While I'm fine taking the risk of buying a defective/not very good 30$ tank, it would be an absolute disaster if I were to buy something 10 times that price that's garbage.

Do you guys know any sources that review high-end stuff exclusively and any specific brands I can look at?

Bench Test Results: Hohm Tech Hohm Life 20.7A 3077mAh 18650...accurately rated

These tests below only note the ESTIMATED ratings for these batteries at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, or Sanyo can change at any time! This is one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers so carefully research any battery you are considering using before purchasing.

Misusing or mishandling lithium-ion batteries can pose a SERIOUS RISK of personal injury or property damage. They are not meant to be used outside of a physically and electrically protected battery pack. Never exceed the battery’s current rating and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition. Use of any of these batteries is AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never, ever, be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.

Bottom Line
This is an accurately rated cell that performs the same as the LG HG2 and the Samsung 30Q. The Sony/Murata VTC6 performed a touch better in my testing than those three cells but I don’t know if you’d see the difference when vaping.

The capacities for the three Hohm Life cells I tested ranged from 3074mAh to 3092mAh at 600mA (0.2C) down to 2.5V. Though one of the cells was a tiny bit under the 3077mAh rating it was very close and I am using different equipment than Hohm Tech. I am rating these cells at 3077mAh. This is the same capacity range as the VTC6, HG2, and 30Q.

Hohm Tech is switching over to a wattage-based ratings system and the Hohm Life cell is using a wrap with these ratings. There is a 60W rating in a larger font (thankfully) and an “87W MAX” rating with an asterisk that is explained in fine print elsewhere on the wrap.

This max rating is temperature limited to 80°C. This means you could potentially use this cell at up to 87W if you don’t let it get hot. That is about 30A though and while it is possible to go that high with this cell it does not lead to good performance and your vaping time will be short. I recommend limiting use of any cell to its continuous current rating or lower. This reduces risk, increases overall cell life, and improves performance.

Some of the ratings on the wrap are still printed quite small and the Wh rating is hard to read on the patterned background they use.

This new wattage-based ratings system, when fully implemented, could make things easier for new vapers to choose the Hohm Tech cell that best fits the way they vape. But it means they might not learn about current ratings and other things they will need to know if they use any other company’s batteries. I’m torn as to whether it is a good idea or not. I look forward to seeing how the community reacts to it.

Hohm Tech (www.hohmtech.com) donated cells for testing, thank you!

Performance Specs
  • DC Internal Resistance = 16.7mOhms*** (milliohms) average for the three cells.
  • Watt-hours (energy) delivered at 10A down to 3.2V = 7.4Wh
  • Watt-hours (energy) delivered at 20A down to 3.2V = 5.4Wh
I want to work for the vaping community full time! If you feel what I do is worth a couple dollars a month and you would like early access to battery availability, battery and charger testing and news, and a say in what I test, then please consider becoming a patron and supporting my testing efforts: Battery Mooch is creating battery tests and educating vapers | Patreon.

To see how other cells have tested check out this link: List of Battery Tests | E-Cigarette Forum

***I have switched test jigs, resulting in slightly lower IR readings versus my previous setup. Add 1.6mOhms to this IR value in order to compare these cells to others tested previously.

Closed/Sold Suorin Air with extra cartridges

Suorin Air with extra cartridges

Brand new in shrink wrapped sealed box.
Includes six extra cartridges (comes with one, so you'll have seven in total).
The color of it is black.
I bought this on impulse, but I've been reluctant to rock the boat with new things.
I've been cigarette free since moving to Juul almost a year and a half ago, so I'm going to just stay put with what's working.
