Haven't been buy any gear for the last few years. I would like to ask about what is the best site to buy gears based in the US?

I was looking at DWM's Facebook page and other descriptions and noticed that nowhere did they use the term "Made In Canada". What I did notice was on the back of the coffin and headstone boxes it says "Made In China". Can anyone shed some light on this please?

Now I know just because it comes from China doesn't mean it's crap. Just wondering if it's authentic or a clone and how to tell!

I know its a long shot but I love all my gas mods Rda's. I just have a problem with how easily the caps break when you sleep drop... I found caps for my Gr1 rdas but nothing for my Nixon s...I really dont feel like re-buying the rda just looking to buy the top caps.

I've been mixing liquid for close to a year now and have been mixing by volume, with various graduated cylinders, and recently, syringes for the small measurements.

Full disclosure: I'm a water/wastewater engineer and calculate feed rates, dilutions, volumes, and weights all day long, using metric and English units. I can figure out how many liters/hour of a chemical of a given concentration must be added to treat a stream of millions of gallons/day of water to achieve the required final concentration. Calculations with water based systems are convenient because one liter of water has a mass of one kg. Certain shortcuts can be employed due to this fact. Not so fast with English units.

We buy nicotine liquid that is measured in mg/ml (mass/volume) of solution, not mg/kg (commonly called % by weight) of solution. The final product is also expressed in mg/ml (mass/volume) not mg/kg of solution. As long as the total mg of nicotine is properly measured and calculated, and the total volume of product is properly measured and calculated, the results are perfectly accurate (at least in the spreadsheet).

The only aspect where % by weight would be useful would be in calculating VG/PG ratio. Since the specific gravity of VG and PG are pretty close, the results of a volumetric calculation seem close enough. Who really cares whether the VG/PG ratio is 75/25 or 75.3/24.7? Measuring by weight, and making the conversions just seems like so much mental masturb@tion.

I haven't read much about the process of mixing by weight, so perhaps mixing by weight is EASIER than mixing by volume, maybe less messy, and maybe its easier to make accurate measurements by weight than by volume. Graduated cylinders CAN be hard to read if the lighting is wrong, they have to be level, and you have to look at it on a horizontal plane, etc. And then you have to clean and dry them. If that's what this is all about, then, fine, we don't have an argument.

I suppose that mixing by weight also has a certain mystique about it, and I wouldn't doubt that this can result in hype.

Test Results
This cell is accurately rated, which is great to see, but it runs hotter and worse than the Samsung 30Q, Murata VTC6, and Vapcell Blue K28 2800mAh. It performs about the same as the Vapcell K30. It appears to be a cell from one of the smaller China factories.

I don’t know why this cell was wrapped by Vapcell as it performs the same or worse than their other recent 15A-20A, 2800mAh-3000mAh 18650’s but perhaps it’s being priced lower.

It’s not a bad cell at all, about the same or a touch worse than the LG HG2. But if this Vapcell G30 is priced about the same or higher than the Vapcell K28 or Samsung 30Q then I recommend those other two cells instead.

The two G30’s I tested delivered 3037mAh and 3101mAh and meet Vapcell’s 3000mAh rating. This is not great consistency but is typical for cells not from the big manufacturers.

The Vapcell G30 runs hotter than the Murata VTC6, Samsung 30Q, and Vapcell K28 but this cell’s 15A rating seems reasonable. If price is the priority, not performance, and you can find it for less than what the 30Q and VTC6 cost then you might consider giving this Vapcell G30 a try.

The 35A max rating is preposterous and useless, ignore it. In my opinion it was set in a marketing meeting, not a test lab, to try to make this cell more competitive in a market flooded with exaggerated current ratings.

So it wasn't hitting right and I accidentally unscrewed it from the bottom part rather than taking it off the mod completely (the tank). Leaked a bit and I just dumped out the juice and cleaned out the whole thing. Made sure all of the rings were properly sealed, some are a bit yellow (it's a new coil), washed it out and reset it w/ new juice. Hit it again and it wouldn't hit until it flooded my mouth with juice. Tried cleaning it again, double checking all rings, but it just started burning hard in the middle and flooding the glass chamber w/ smoke.

This makes me think it could be:
coil issue (setting, something happened)
improper valve/ring (tightening issue?)
improper device setting (checked, but who knows)

I'm ordering more coils online now, but don't want to get them and find out it doesn't work still from an easy fix. Any suggestions?

Hello again. Today I’ll be covering the Voopoo Argus GT kit that was sent to me by Sourcemore for the purpose of providing a fair and honest review. In the past I had not owned many Voopoo products but after seeing a review on ECF, I had decided to give the Argus a try and have become fairly familiar with it and the PNP tanks and some of the coils so feel like I can give a decent review of this product. I’ll start with some specifications and pictures then give my thoughts on this device. So, away we go.











What’s in the box?

First Impressions:

When I opened the box and slid out the nice looking plastic case, I was impressed. Usually all you get is a box and the contents. The Argus GT is packaged in a very nice hard case with foam inserts. Inside I found the mod, PNP tank, two coils, charging cable and user manual. I received the red/black version and have to say that it is a beautiful mod. I never usually buy mods with red on them but love the looks of this one. I also noticed on the mod that there is what I would call a splatter effect on the outer black parts. I guess it’s to add to the visual affect. I could do with or without it.



I was already familiar with the PNP tank since I’ve already purchased and used some of them. The tank holds 4.5ml of liquid which is a good amount for me. The tank is a bottom fill with a decent size opening for filling with most bottles and makes no mess but I always wipe after filling with a paper towel just in case. The two coils included in the kit are .15 ohms rated at 60-80 watts and .2 ohm rated at 40-60 watts. I very much like the flavor and vapor produced by these coils. The tank portion has magnets that are very strong and I had no issues with the tank pulling away from the 510 base.



The user interface with the Gene chip is fairly simple and I like it. Five clicks of the fire button will turn it on and off. The default screen when you turn it on is yellow which is Smart VW. Three clicks of the fire button will switch to RBA wattage mode and three more clicks will take you into Temperature Control menu where you choose which type of coil material you are using and long press the fire button to select the type. Pressing the fire button and the plus button will lock the device. Pressing the fire button and the minus button will clear the puff counter. While in temperature control mode, pressing the plus and minus buttons will take you into another menu where you can set the wattage, tcr, and resistance.



The mod has the battery door on the bottom of the unit which is marked with + and – but is not marked inside the unit. The Argus GT is equipped with a USB-C charging port that is on the side of the unit underneath a rubber plug.



Final Thoughts:

To be honest, I never really given much thought to Voopoo products in the past. I feel like they are really putting out some good devices now. The pictures really don’t do this mod justice. One thing I really like about this mod is that it is very lightweight for a dual battery mod. Also it is skinny and fits in my hand very nicely. Like I mentioned earlier, I saw a review on ECF of this kit and knew I had to try one. Since then, I’ve added a few to my collection. I haven’t tried charging using the charging port since it’s not recommended and I always charge batteries in a charger inside a charging bag since one time a few years ago I had a charger and batteries catastrophically fail on me.

To me the Gene chip and user menu are very user friendly and easy to navigate. I have tried the Argus and the PNP pod in all three modes. I enjoyed using it in temperature control with the watts set at 80 and temperature set at 400-410. I haven’t used temp control in a while but this mod seems to do a good job of it. I also would switch to smart or rba modes and run either coil around 50 watts. The recommended wattage on the .15 coil was just too warm for me.

I very much like the PNP tank and coils. I felt like both coils produced very good flavor and plenty of vapor. Even though the drip tip is not removable, it wasn’t an issue for me since I find the tip to be very comfortable to use. It’s nice that the tank is held on to the base with magnets so you don’t have to unscrew from the mod to fill each time. When using the .15 coil I checked each time I filled the tank and it was dry underneath each time until I got to a little over 300 on the puff counter and experienced a little beat of seepage which was easily remove with a paper towel. I’m still using the .2 coil and have not experienced any leaking or seepage so far and am a little over 300 on the counter.

So, would I recommend the Argus GT for others to purchase? Definitely yes! I very much like the Argus GT from the carrying case to the performance it is a real winner in my opinion.

One thing I really like about this mod is that it is very lightweight for a dual battery mod. Also it is skinny and fits in my hand very nicely. Like I mentioned earlier, I saw a review on ECF of this kit and knew I had to try one. Since then, I’ve added a few to my collection. I haven’t tried charging using the charging port since it’s not recommended and I always charge batteries in a charger inside a charging bag since one time a few years ago I had a charger and batteries catastrophically fail on me.

To me the Gene chip and user menu are very user friendly and easy to navigate. I have tried the Argus and the PNP pod in all three modes. I enjoyed using it in temperature control with the watts set at 80 and temperature set at 400-410. I haven’t used temp control in a while but this mod seems to do a good job of it. I also would switch to smart or rba modes and run either coil around 50 watts. The recommended wattage on the .15 coil was just too warm for me.

I very much like the PNP tank and coils. I felt like both coils produced very good flavor and plenty of vapor. Even though the drip tip is not removable, it wasn’t an issue for me since I find the tip to be very comfortable to use. It’s nice that the tank is held on to the base with magnets so you don’t have to unscrew from the mod to fill each time. When using the .15 coil I checked each time I filled the tank and it was dry underneath each time until I got to a little over 300 on the puff counter and experienced a little beat of seepage which was easily remove with a paper towel. I’m still using the .2 coil and have not experienced any leaking or seepage so far and am a little over 300 on the counter.

So, would I recommend the Argus GT for others to purchase? Definitely yes! I very much like the Argus GT from the carrying case to the performance it is a real winner in my opinion.
