New member: Hello!

Hi all, nice to sign up! I’ve been vaping for eight weeks now, heartfelt support for this way. Asthma gone, better sleep, lower heart rate, abandoned feelings of guilt etc.
Started with Melo4/PicoX, after two weeks bought Zeus X Mesh and Aegis Max.
All of our regular customers know that I smoke, now they notice the switch and ask how it’s working, and I have to say that it’s impossible for a kiosk clerk to answer accommodating TPA!

Zeus X Mesh problem

I got 2, built one with included ni mesh, the other with ss 200 mesh. Using both with temp control. On the ni build dry hits after a couple second puff. On the ss build, it flooded within a couple minutes of filling, I used it anyway and after I dumped the flooded juice, it vapes great, but now it's about due for a new wick. I think. I ran about 200ml thru, vape is still decent, but it is losing some flavor. Also both are built with rayon. From Sally's the Graham 44060 Just trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong to correct it.

Rec's on FSUSA-like liquids? Pleeeease.

I've been ordering from FSUSA for over 10 years. LOVE how clean their liquids are. I know the ingredients. But their customer service lately SUCKS. Last order took 2 weeks. They don't answer their phone or return calls when you finally get someone. Last order I had to call Michigan to have their associate call to get my order sent. I've now been trying to order again for over a week and can't get a call or email back.

Is there another company that has similar ingredient liquids? I don't want bulk manufactured liquids. I LOVE the flavors I get from FSUSA. I've been using them for 10 years.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!!

Fake News: Study Says Quit This Bad Habit Before COVID Vaccine

Appears the falsified research and assertions of lying sack of ...., Stanton Glantz, may live for some time in derivative studies. At some point, these researchers will realize they’re building on a house of cards.

Study Says Quit This Bad Habit Before COVID Vaccine
Inhalation of e-cigarettes aerosol has also recently been linked to immune suppression within the respiratory tract, specifically the nasal mucosa. We propose that changes in the nasal mucosal immune response modify antiviral host defense responses in e-cigarette users. Juice consumption

I am vaping very airy mtl but lately a lot restricted direct lung on a hellvape md with a small Clapton coil 30/40 7wraps or something ...at 23watts and with a full tank 4ml I get like 100puffs if I do direct lung like 3-4 seconds each puff...

Ok I know depends the time of Puffs and how much someone vapes and all that but I was wondering....

I was thinking to buy a zeus x rta and get also the mesh deck to have both...
The thing is I wonder since my hellvape eats Soo fast the juice ....
How will zeus with dual coil be...or the mesh with 4ml tank???

Anyone using it and how many times u refill per day hahaha must be a lot isn't it??

Disclaimer: I was sent the Manik Pod Mod by both Wotofo and Health Cabin for the purposes of this review.

Design & Build Quality
The Manik Pod Mod is available in four different colours; Nano Gunmetal, Nano Black, Nano Chrome and Prism Gunmetal. I received both the Prism Gunmetal (from Health Cabin) and the Nano Black (from Wotofo). The Nano colour options have a matt finish on the zinc alloy body, while the Prism Gunmetal has a polished finish.

The body of the Manik is constructed from a zinc alloy and there is a grip portion which curves around the back. At first glance I thought the grip was going to be similar to the Aegis line, but on the Manik it is actually more of a tough grip instead of a soft cushion. It’s certainly comfortable to hold and provides a nice grip in the hand.

On each side of the mod at the top there are two airflow slots which allow air to pass through into the coils. There are no adjustable airflow options on the Manik.

The fire button is located on the front panel near the top. It is square shaped and slopes out subtly towards the bottom of the button. It’s a nice fire button to use whether you are firing with your finger, thumb or side of your thumb. It is also really responsive when using.

The colour display is located below the fire button. It’s 0.96” in size and has a crisp resolution and vibrant colours.

The two adjustment buttons are below the screen. They are small squares and again are very responsive in use.

Below the adjustment buttons is the micro USB charging port.

On the bottom of the mod is the battery door. It is hinged and slides out slightly to lock / unlock the door. When a battery is installed it all sits snugly with no rattle from the battery or the door.

The overall design is similar to other pod mods with this form factor and it is similar in size and weight. The build quality is great, nothing to complain about at all.

My only negative is for the Prism Gunmetal version, which has a polished finish on the body. It’s a fingerprint and smudge magnet and I much preferred the matt finish on the Nano Black version.

Features & Functions
The Manik is a simple pod mod to use. It is solely a wattage mode device, so the only changeable option you have is selecting your wattage which is done using the up and down adjustment buttons.

The wattage ranges from 5-80W and is adjustable in 1 watt increments. Holding the up or down adjustment button will scroll at a faster pace and it does round robin when at either 5 or 80W.

As I mentioned above, the display is really crisp and vibrant. It shows your battery percentage and a battery indicator in each top corner. You then have your selected wattage, voltage when firing, resistance of the inserted coil and a puff counter. At the bottom is a last puff timer. The puff timer is large, taking up about a quarter of the screen real estate. I don’t know why this information was given prominence. I would have preferred it to be smaller and maybe included Amps drawn information too.

Manik Pod Mod Button Combinations
  • Turn On / Off: 5 x clicks of the fire button
  • Power Lock / Unlock: 3 x clicks of the fire button (Locks all buttons, including fire button)
  • Puff Counter Clear: Fire button and down adjustment button simultaneously
  • Change Colour Scheme: Fire button and up adjustment button simultaneously
  • Wattage Adjustment Lock: Up and down adjustment buttons simultaneously (Locks adjustment buttons, but can still fire)
Pod
The pod has a built in drip tip, which is comfortable to use. Personally, I have no issue with a built in drip tip on a pod device.

The pod has a 4.5ml capacity (2ml capacity TPD version).

The pod has a smoked lower section all the way around which makes it easy enough to see your liquid level both in use and when filling the pod.

The fill port is located on the top of the pod. The silicone stopper sits flush with the top of the pod, so it’s not noticeable when in place. It sits securely in the fill port and opens with a little pop. It’s definitely on the more chunky side and doesn’t feel flimsy like on some other pod devices.

The fill port itself is a nice size and I haven’t had any issues filling the pod even with bigger nozzles. I can’t fit my really chunky nozzles into the fill port but haven’t had issues just squeezing it in; no airlocks have occurred.

The pod doesn’t use magnets to secure it, instead it has a little ridge on the back which is inserted first and then it has a button / latch which clips into place on the front. Taking the pod out is just a matter of pressing the button / latch on the front and the pod releases. I don’t mind magnets if they are strong on a pod, but I also like the way this pod attaches; it is secure and easy to remove when needed, but accidental removal of the pod with this system is very unlikely.

Coils are inserted into the base of the pod and are plug and play style. It’s easy to pull out the coils and push in a new one. The coils have straight edges on two sides which line up with the straight edges on the pod to ensure the airflow slots on the coil base line up with the airflow intake slots on the mod. It is foolproof to install coils.

Coils
The two coils included in the Manik box are:
  • D15 Clapton Mesh Coil (pre-installed) recommended for use between 45-55W
  • D14 A1 Conical Mesh Coil recommended for use between 35-40W

There are also two other coils included in the range which are:
  • D11 Net Mesh Coil recommended for use between 45-55W
  • D13 A1 nexMESH Coil recommended for use between 37-43W

Also, the coils are cross compatible with Voopoo’s PnP coils and Vaporesso’s GTX coils. This is a nice move by Wotofo giving you plenty of options for coil usage. Furthermore, if you already have a Voopoo or Vaporesso device which uses the PnP or GTX coils you can try out the Vaporesso coils in your existing device.

There is an RBA section which is also available, but unfortunately I didn’t get this to try out. It looks like a nice addition, being able to take a single or dual coil setup.

Performance
As well as the two included coils, Wotofo also sent me the other two coils available in the range.

All four of these coils provided really good flavour, but the Clapton Mesh coil was the star of the bunch for me. The flavour is really great, especially at 55W. Usually I tend to be impressed with one of the coils and the others feel like a disappointment, but all of these perform really well.

The mod itself is a pleasure to use. It’s nice and comfortable to hold, the screen is nice and vibrant and it fires really fast.

Filling the pod was easy, even with chunky nozzles and I experienced no leaking from the bottom of the pod.

I was enjoying vaping on the Manik so much that I prematurely burnt out the first two coils I tried, forgetting to keep an eye on the level of liquid in the pod. I had literally vaped the coils dry.

Verdict
When it comes down to it, the Manik is another Pod Mod. We’ve seen the form factor before, it is a similar size to other external 18650 pod mods and it doesn’t bring anything new to the table.

No adjustable airflow may be an issue for some, but I didn’t find myself wishing it was available.

Being Wotofo’s first pod mod, I wish they’d gone for a 21700 battery instead. It would have made it stand out from the overcrowded 18650 pod mod market and given it a bit more of a realistic use with the dual coil RBA section available.

That being said, it is a well made, solid feeling pod mod and what it does, it does really well. The flavour from the coils is really great, especially the Clapton Mesh coil.

Then you have the compatibility with PnP and GTX coils, giving you even more options. An RBA section for rebuildables and you can even use the PnP RBA coil or the GTX RBA coil; lot’s of options here.

It’s so easy to use and provides great flavour, I’ve found it a pleasure to use while in work and out and about.

Pros
  • Great flavour from all four coils, especially the Clapton Mesh
  • Really easy to use
  • Nice and comfortable to hold
  • Lovely display, crisp and vibrant
  • Very responsive and fast firing
  • Top fill and large fill port on pod
Cons
  • No adjustable airflow may be an issue for some
  • QR sticker on mod leaves a sticky residue
  • Micro USB port (subjective, who actually charges their batteries in a mod anyway?)

Thank you for reading and thank you to both Wotofo and Health Cabin for sending me the Manik Pod Mod for review.

You can see the Manik Pod Mod on Wotofo’s website and Health Cabin have it listed for £14.46 ($18.58) on their site at the moment.

Today I have the newest Voopoo product in the Argus line, the Argus and Argus Pro. Both are pod-mods with internal batteries, but the Pro is simply bigger, with a larger battery and higher output. Both pod-mods adept with the well-known PnP pod and the RTA Pod by Voopoo.

I will mention the differences between these pod-mods throughout this review.

Thank you @VOOPOO_Thea for sending me these kits for review.

Specifications:

This time I will not put specifications with pictures, but you can find them through below links:

1 x Type-C Cable
1 x User Manual

So, as you can see the differences in packaging. The Argus Pro is packed in the very nice plastic case, and the Argus is not. And the Argus has an additional MTL pod, which the Argus Pro does not have. Obviously, the coils are different as the power output of each device is different.

Review:

First impression; the same thing as the Drag X/S, quite similar in looks wise, both are equipped with a similar chip, same airflow system and both use the same pods/coils. Of course there is some differences, but are they worth a different device? Also, the first Argus devices that came out were not like neither the Vinci nor Drag series. The Argus GT is a nice and unique dual 18650 mod and the Argus Air also quite a new type of device in the Voopoo line, so I am not entirely sure why Voopoo came up with the Argus and Argus Pro. Still, I am quite sure they perform outstanding just like most Voopoo devices.

Both devices feel solid and lay properly in the hand. It to me is much more comfortable than the Drag X and S. One thing they did not have to include for me is the little metal chain connector as it moves and rattles with ever movement, you can take it off with pliers if desired.

Like the looks of this device a lot, the dark matt black color if the main body of the device just looks really cool, the leather part as well and it is nice that you can customize it by taking of the frame. I am not a fan of the spatter action going on, sometimes I think it is dirt or liquid on the device.

Buttons on both devices have the same form factor, on the Argus Pro they are simply slightly bigger. All of them respond very well and feel properly installed, no rattling. Like always with the Gen chips, it just fires up like a rocket.

Always I had the impression when I first heard the names Argus and Argus Pro that the Pro version would be an 1860 or 21700 replaceable pod-mod, but to my disappointment it is not, it has an internal 3000mAh battery. Both devices on the bottom have a cap sticking out that has some ridged design to it, I was thinking it was a battery cap, but its not.

We see the same airflow system as on the Drag X/S with a lever sticking out. It allows for either a lot of air DTL hit or restricted DTL hit, it is for me not the MTL airflow I am looking for. With the airflow entirely closed you still get a loose MTL draw. Funny enough on the Argus Pro the MTL-draw is tighter than on the Argus, which is kind of unexpected. I really hoped for the Argus to allow for a tighter MTL draw as the MTL coils they have in the PnP line are good. Overall the airflow is very smooth.

If it is about the menu on both devices there is differences. The Argus is more limited with its smaller screen and lesser options, it has no color on the screen and the details are quite limited, but the navigation is the same on both devices. On both devices: 5 clicks on/of, 3 clicks to switch between modes, fire-button and down to reset puff counter and fire-button and up to lock the device. Main difference is that the Pro has 4 modes; RBA A&P, RBA P, Smart A&P and Smart P. Argus has only two modes A and P. The P stands for ‘Press’, meaning button fire only and A stands for ‘Auto-Draw’ allowing auto-draw on both devices. RBA on the Pro allows the user to set wattage with no limits, while smart recognizes the coil and does not let you go over its recommended wattage.

Something I never liked about the Gene chip is that when locking the device, you cannot fire. Auto-draw works very well on both devices, but you do feel a difference in auto-draw or press-draw, it just hits much harder on press. From my experience with similar Voopoo devices I know that at a point in time the auto-draw will not function properly. That is due to condensation build-up blocking the auto-draw ‘sensor’. I found an easy way to fix it, just pack the base (under the metal ring) with some cotton and put the device up-side-down for 15 minutes, this will allow the cotton to suck out all the excess liquid.

The Argus comes with a 1500mAh and the Argus Pro with a 3000mAh internal battery. Both devices have a plug on the front of the device under the + and - button that covers the USB-C port. One thing that stood out to me is that the Argus has 5V – 1A written under the port and the Argus Pro 5V – 2A, wondering why they did not go with 2A charging for the Argus. You are not able to vape while charging, but below battery performance I registered on both devices.

Argus Pro: full charge takes 85-90 minutes – 70W, 0.15ohm, 108 puffs
Device gets quite warm when chain vaping at 80W.

Argus: Full charge takes 85-90 minutes – 35W, 0.3ohm, 125 puffs

So, the conclusion is that the Argus needs really a bit too long for me too charge a 1500mAh battery, especially considering you just get over 100 puffs at 35W, 2A charging should have been possible. Please Voopoo, include a longer USB-C cable next time, this one is so short!

I am not going to write much about the PnP pod as I have done that so many times already. It is a nice pod and just works well and has no major issues with leaking or filling. It has a large fill-hole on the bottom for a mess-free fill and the coil options in these pods are just endless. You can choose between 12 different PnP coils which range from 10 to 80W, choice between DTL, Restricted DTL and MTL coils. That is obviously a good thing, cool options.

In the Pro kit you get a rubber tank protector whish kind of feels more to be useful design wise than protection wise, the PnP pods are made from hard plastic, so there is no reason to add any additional protection in my opinion. I also prefer the looks without.

In general, I like the PnP coils, all of them. The performance of the DTL and MTL coils are similar apart from the vaper production. Flavor is good on the PnP coils and they generally last quite long, depending on your juice of course. I do have a feeling that PnP coils are not always performing exactly the same, sometimes exactly the same type of coil loses the flavor after 4-5 days already while the exact same coil type that I put in next suddenly provides good flavor for almost 2 weeks. I did read somewhere on the internet that it helps a lot on PnP coils to comb the wicking ports out a bit so that the cotton is not too tightly packed in there, and it does help quite a bit.

Conclusion:

Again, two very well performing pod-mods by Voopoo, something I kind of got used to with their pod-mods, always good.

Like the form factor a lot and it’s a nice and comfy device to take along with me when out of home. Both vape good, perform stable and are reliable.

I personally like the Argus Pro more as it is not much bigger than the Argus but does have twice the capacity, a more 2020 looking menu and does have a tighter MTL draw.

Improvements that should have been applied are a tighter MTL draw, replaceable battery (maybe 21700?), 2A charging for the smaller battery Argus, and a longer USB-C cable.

Even though I really like the PnP pod devices, I really wish Voopoo will come with something else next time. The devices are all slightly different, but still, the coils are all the same and the vape as well.

Let me know if I missed anything on these devices, and if you have any questions, shoot!

Thank you, have a good day!

Dovpo Top Gear is the latest flagship DNA250C box mod by the company. It utilizes dual 18650 batteries, as well as a rotating top gear knob to make settings adjustments. However, for those of you who enjoy the traditional methods of making changes, the front panel still has three buttons to make menu navigation a breeze. The Dovpo Top Gear Mod also features an exquisite design as the chassis is made with CNC machined aluminum alloy that is covered with carbon fiber. And, you may choose from these finishes: Monet, Carbon/Blue, Carbon/Rusty, Carbon/Black, and Carbon Grid.

What makes the Top Gear Mod so expensive is its Evolv DNA 250C chipset, but that's to be expected because the chipboard permits stable and accurate performance that is state-of-the-art on all levels. With a massive ability to put out up to 200W dual bottom-loaded 18650 batteries, the mod can also operate in temperature mode between 200 and 600 degrees and is compatible with any build or tank down to just 0.08ohm. For convenience, you may also customize your favorite settings by way of eScribe software. This desktop program further permits adding your personalized settings in several memory slots, as well as uploading themes or change the layout of the full-color TFT display screen. Best of all, the Top Gear Mod features a replay function, so you may boost initial power to your liking to produce your ideal flavor from your atomizer in any of the modes.
