Hey everyone,

I've had ulcerative colitis for almost 20 years now. It's been hard. I view myself as being lucky because I have kept my bowel and have access to good treatment.

I'm in a really bad place with my bowel.

I only have a few more drugs available, many have just not worked for me. I'm giving a nicotine vape a go. I've been vaping for 4 days now at 12mg.

I'm not a smoker. Some people quit smoking and then later get the ulcerative colitis diagnosis. Some go back to smoking and then they're good, bowel no inflammation.

Even though I'm not a smoker, I'm still giving nicotine a go. If it doesn't help I'll switch to analogs and give them a go.

Has anyone had success with their colitis through vaping nicotine? I'm on day 4, 12mg. How long do you think I need to vape before calling it quits. If vaping can help my bowel I'd be happy to continue with it.

I just need new tank recommendations for my Innokin MVP4, I’m currently using a TFV8 baby tank and I’m wanting an upgrade (for more flavour and clouds) and I usually vape between 70-80 watts. I have the new Freemax Maxus Pro Tank and I have some wierdness going on. The tank has worked great until a small drop from the couch. It won't read double mesh coils anymore and I've tried multiple coils. It reads the single mesh coils just fine. Does anybody have a idea on what I could do to fix this? I just don't get why it reads the single mesh ok and the double mesh I get a no atomizer message. I've tried on multiple mods to and it the same thing. Any help would be appreciated, nothing looks bent or out of sorts. It literally only fell a few feet or less onto carpet!!

Unflavoured Nicotine 200ml

I had a drag voopoo since 2018, but now it's kinda broken. I'm thinking in buying drag 2 because this is the best mod I ever had with a pharaoh tank.

So what are the best mods out there? any budget one?

Today is my 3rd day since I last vaped and while the cravings are not as strong as trying to quit cigs, I definitely feel something is missing from my life. You know what I'm talking about.

I'm sure I can last weeks with will power but it's not so much the withdrawal symptoms or any adverse effect, but more of "gee a vape would be nice about now" that really makes this psychologically challenging.

I'm kind of debating whether I should continue. Does it get easier as time goes on? At least with cigs you know it's bad for you but with vape being "safer" the motivation to quit drops dramatically. If it's not going to get any easier than I'm not sure if it's worth the tradeoff...

Firstly a thanks to the forum - not been on much in ages, and wasn't on that much before, but when I got my Mesh 24 this morning and had my first go at wicking it up, I knew I either had a dud or needed to harness others' experiences, so here I came and, it solved my issues by the 3rd wick - CHEERS!

I wanted to post in the thread I'd been reading but my humble and meagre permissions denied me access, so here I am!

Having seen the size of the drip tip, and read reviews of VV's mesh dripper, I must say at first I was horrified by how tight the draw was on this thing! I'd done it up with a tight sausage of Japanese cotton pad as per my fat dripper coils, and had the overall diameter of coil and wick overinflated, top too tall, and cwick *way* too hard for this unit, as it turned out, so for the 2nd time the whole lot came out, and after my final vitis here, I set to again for the 3rd time.

Here's wot I done wot wurked:

This time I grabbed some odd bits of cotton batton I had left, cut a few short strips and wadded them together keeping all fibres vertical, trimmed the bottom end and tried it for fit in the well, pulled a few strands off, and plopped it in, with one end of the mesh already secured.

I pushed the cotton and gently compacted it away from the remaining post to keep it out the clamp, then gently fed the end of the mesh through, closing the loop enough so it was *just* under the diameter of the juice well, then making sure I had it straight and the wick held down into the well with gentle pressure, I tightened the second end of the mesh, trimmed the top to just below the tops of the posts, fluffed out into all corners of the mesh/posts and down into the juice well using a long pin, then at the top I pushed the fibres out from the centre slightly to make a little well, lightly trimmed off some of the overhang, pre-wet the wick and coil, test fired and reassembled with the liquid still in the glass from the last build still, and behold it worked like a dream!

It's still a waaaay tighter draw than I'm used to, or indeed than the tank I got the other day as part of my Reuleaux RX Gen3 kit that throws huge free breathing clouds as well as my Buddha V3 did, but now I got the airlow maximised and balanced with the shape and diameter of the wick and coil, and have a fairly loose, springy wick with straight fibres nicely fluffed out, it just *works*!

To summarise, it wasn't what I expected, wasn't what I wanted, but I am not about to give it up now I bloody well have it, and I haven't even tested it on TC mode yet.

Review:

It looks fancy this device and the machining is done very well. The front and back panel flow well into the metal frame of the device of which I like the 'gunmetalish' color. It just feels very properly made. It is on the small side and very pocketable.







And to come straight into something I don't like much, it is the fire-button. It is the only button on the device so I would expect it to be well made, but it feels cheap compared to the rest of the device. It is made from thin plastic and it rattles quite a bit, such a pity as the device itself is so promising.

Good thing is that it his airflow adjustment with the lever on the back panel of the device. On mine it is not moving very smoothly, need to apply quite some force for it to move, but I guess that’s a good thing. Airflow is restricted DTL only, when fully open it still is restrictive. With the 0.8ohm coil and the airflow entirely closes you still get a loose MTL draw, that is because there is lots of airflow going through the top of the device. Even when I strongly seal the airflow inlets on the side there is still a loose type of MTL draw, so for me this device is restricted DTL only, but that's because I like tight MTL.



Screen is nice and bright, not sure why it is not centralized, it is displaying on the left of the screen panel. It contains the necessary info, puff counter, resistance, wattage level and battery indicator.



There is not much you can do with this device apart from firing and adjusting wattage, you for example not reset the puff counter which is kind of a pity. To adjust the wattage you simply click 3 times and then the wattage starts blinking, each click is 1W up and once reaching its max 40W it sets back to 5W. Holding down the fire button allows for fast scrolling and once the desired wattage is reached you simply wait for it to stop blinking.

A very impressive 1800mAh battery for the size of the device. It charges rapidly in about 60 minutes with its USB-C 2A charging. I get about 250-280 puffs at 30W, which is a really good number for this type of device. Good job on the battery there Vaporesso.

Pods have one of my favorite type of fill system for a pod-system, just pop off the mouthpiece without having to take out the pod from the device. A large fill hole uncovers and the venting on the other side makes this an easy mess-free fill. Love it.



The pods click into the device with a click system and sit very well into place. 3ml capacity for this device and coils is more than enough, no need to regularly fill. Coils press fir right into place and voila, ready to fill and vape. Nice that Vaporesso included two pods in the kit so you can have two coils/flavors ready to be vaped on simultaneously.





GTX coils, have written about those many times. They are all delivering great flavor, very crisp and dense. Obviously the 0.6ohm one delivers more vapor than the 0.8ohm one, but both are flavor wise the same, simply fantastic. From how far I could investigate, not all GTX coils are compatible with the Luxe PM40, only the ones included in the kit. That means that we have a device that fires up to 40W, but coils that only fire up to 30W. I hope Vaporesso will release additional coils that can reach that 40W mark.



Conclusion:

A nice little pocketable RDL vape you get from the LUXE PM40.

With a very comfortable fill-system and minimal operation it is the perfect device for those that like to keep it simple but still expects a very flavorful dense vape.

With its 1800mAh battery you can get quite some vaping time out of it and with its USB-C 2A charge you are ready to go just within an hour, very impressive.

Downsides for me are the fire-button feeling a bit cheap, no way to reset puff-counter and the airflow not being true MTL.

I personally prefer the Vaporesso Xiron which I also reviewed (check my profile), but the Luxe PM40 is doing its job very well.

Another pod-mod by Vaporesso, the new Luxe PM40. A device that from looks straight away reminds me of the Nord X, it has the same shape and a screen on its side.

Review:

It looks fancy this device and the machining is done very well. The front and back panel flow well into the metal frame of the device of which I like the 'gunmetalish' color. It just feels very properly made. It is on the small side and very pocketable.







And to come straight into something I don't like much, it is the fire-button. It is the only button on the device so I would expect it to be well made, but it feels cheap compared to the rest of the device. It is made from thin plastic and it rattles quite a bit, such a pity as the device itself is so promising.

Good thing is that it his airflow adjustment with the lever on the back panel of the device. On mine it is not moving very smoothly, need to apply quite some force for it to move, but I guess that’s a good thing. Airflow is restricted DTL only, when fully open it still is restrictive. With the 0.8ohm coil and the airflow entirely closes you still get a loose MTL draw, that is because there is lots of airflow going through the top of the device. Even when I strongly seal the airflow inlets on the side there is still a loose type of MTL draw, so for me this device is restricted DTL only, but that's because I like tight MTL.



Screen is nice and bright, not sure why it is not centralized, it is displaying on the left of the screen panel. It contains the necessary info, puff counter, resistance, wattage level and battery indicator.



There is not much you can do with this device apart from firing and adjusting wattage, you for example not reset the puff counter which is kind of a pity. To adjust the wattage you simply click 3 times and then the wattage starts blinking, each click is 1W up and once reaching its max 40W it sets back to 5W. Holding down the fire button allows for fast scrolling and once the desired wattage is reached you simply wait for it to stop blinking.

A very impressive 1800mAh battery for the size of the device. It charges rapidly in about 60 minutes with its USB-C 2A charging. I get about 250-280 puffs at 30W, which is a really good number for this type of device. Good job on the battery there Vaporesso.

Pods have one of my favorite type of fill system for a pod-system, just pop off the mouthpiece without having to take out the pod from the device. A large fill hole uncovers and the venting on the other side makes this an easy mess-free fill. Love it.



The pods click into the device with a click system and sit very well into place. 3ml capacity for this device and coils is more than enough, no need to regularly fill. Coils press fir right into place and voila, ready to fill and vape. Nice that Vaporesso included two pods in the kit so you can have two coils/flavors ready to be vaped on simultaneously.
