ok gotcha. So they are interchangeable right? Use the v2 for heavier VG. Taking notes :)
I normally vape 50/50 but buy a lot of trendier stuff lately that is higher VG
I have problems with PG so my juice is 70 and 80% VG.

I use Kayfun Monster Mini V3, and silverplay nano.

Those have 3 mm Juice Wells and NO problems wicking.

I am very pleased with my vape

The STM V2 RBA heads sku 3822800 are fine. Work nice and parts interchange with the original RBA heads.
I agree on the bases and will only order genuine ones now.
good to know. Well, thanks all for the lessons in STM. I just went and bought 3 more.

you're welcome.
Glad I could help. Plenty of people on here helped me in the past and still do from time to time.
They are really good at helping me spend my money ;)

No issues with the FT RBA heads either. But 4 out of 5 bases had too short of a 510 to work in any of my mods.

Solder;)
Single (Silver Solder) Dot and file flat :)

There are actually a few approaches to making things reach :D

So file the extension?

Good Idea had thought of this but will use tiny brazing rod and microtorch.
with pin removed of course :)

Still ticked me off that the cloners could not get it right.

far from a newbie, been vaping for 3 years and on this forum for almost that
We are all newbies about some aspect of vaping or vaping equipment.
I am preparing to start rebuilding GS air coils for instance.
Cheech and the folks on the GS airhead thread have been a fantastic help with getting me ready for that.

EVERYONE needs a little help from time to time.

Anyone who never needs help is either lying or doesnt do anything.

In my opinion, stocking up on RDA's and RTA's should be the #1 priority. Unless you have access to a CNC machine, or know someone who does, you will not be able to make them yourself. The only problem with longevity for these items would be the insulators and the glass for tanks. I hope to see products hit the market that are purposes built to last a lifetime, before August. Some 3rd party company should start manufacturing ss tanks for all popular RTA's (any reccomendations in this area would be appreciated).

You can make your own mods with some basic soldering skills. The only components that the FDA could screw with are 510 connections and regulated boards, so stocking up on 510 connections would be a good idea. There are ways to make a regulated mod without e-cig specific boards, but stocking up on boards would be smart as well.

Planning to build your own mods is a more future proof endeavor than stocking up on the mass produced products currently on the market. If, like myself, you don't have a lot of disposable income, I would hardly bother. Making things is more fun anyway.

Just ordered 3 of the 9.99 STM's. Cheap as just buying bases and get lots of parts.
Have plenty of the V2 RBA's.
That price is so good, I want to buy half a dozen. But, I haven't even tried the Subtank yet!

Didn't they used to make mods with coaxial cable ends? I wonder what threading that worked with. That was back in the days of 801 and 901 atties.

Fat daddy vapes has nice ones around $4 a piece, but i have a few from Fasttech that were like $7 for 5 of them, and they look and function just the same, but the flat top part is a bit thinner.
do not buy SKU 2013500 510 connector. Bought 2 to try and a 510 will not even screw in the first one. Have not even looked at the second one...
FT stuff stuff a crapshoot.
I would go with fatdaddy or varitube.
I should have said WILL go with.
