Ditto here. I was into the idea of scattering the ashes also (almost wrote "myself", but that would have been confusing/humorous). However my sister was having none of that so they're going to bury half of my ashes and the other half spread. I have to stop by and check out my tombstone while I still can. When I took care of my uncle, I bought mine before inflation hit.

My father has a stone at the family plot, but he isn't there. He wanted to be scattered at his place, my place, and his father's farm. I know he's there everytime I step outside. My grandmother needed something tangible to visit so we got the plot and stone. Seemed like a waste of money and space to me since Dad was adament he didn't want to be planted. I should probably ask my mother where it is in case I ever need to find it later.

Mom has a stone at her family plot as well but is also quite vocal about not being stuck next to her step mother and step siblings for eternity. I guess we'll have the end date put on it when the time comes but she won't ever be there.

It's hard to balance the wishes of the deceased with those of a grieving family. I have left instructions to be turned into as little a package as possible and buried with my favorite dogs in the memorial garden in the back yard. I also asked my husband to see if the funeral director would load me up with high test alcohol first, just so I can have one last multiple alarm fire department run before I go. I'm a jerk like that. :)

FC, lol. Yeah, I suggested a "Planted after date", but my sister didn't like that idea either. They'll go out after the date is known and fill in the blank. Whenever my mom and I discussed funeral arrangements and getting cremated (something I decided for myself at a very young age after some of those viewings), I always told her, pointing, "I'd much rather head up that direction than that direction" It always got a laugh from her, the advantage to talking to someone that couldn't remember much anymore.

I left work yesterday with my left eye feeling a little irritated. I ended up trying to rinse it out last night but nothing helped. I went to my regular doctor first and then he sent me to an eye specialist. The specialist pulled three small pieces of metal out. I'm really sensitive to light right now but it feels better with the pieces out.

Glad you got it out Hitt, hopefully with a bit of rest, your eye will feel better. I was always kind of grateful I wore classes. I can't say how many times they prevented me from screwing up doing something stupid. That was one of the reasons I never considered contacts. Funny that now I hardly ever wear them around the house. I just grab for the reading glasses so I can read the small print that they keep making smaller every year.:cool::blush:

Pretty funny. I ran out of my only bottle of Passioncake from Nicoticket. It was 12mg of nic which was higher than I normally vape because I was buying bottles at going out of business sale prices and picking up whatever. In addition, my gf's daughter in law had sent me her whole supply when she quit vaping after quitting smoking. I opened up a bottle of Franilla that I really like.

I've been vaping it for about a week and was putting fresh batteries in my Alien and topping up the tank for the day when I thought, what mg is this liquid? Omg, obviously one of the bottles she sent me. I didn't even notice the difference.

It's always something, hopefully it's not too bad.

We were supposed to install the wheelchair lift today but his mother decided she didn't want it installed. Now understand, we had a deck installed on a house they don't own yet and who knows what will happen after he passes. I took three trips to Delaware to buy, deconstruct, dismantle, move it and put it back together, didn't put steps in and had a pad poured for it before she decided it wasn't needed. Needless to say, I've just about had it.

I definitely understand you're frustration. You have been very generous in helping them and it seems unappreciated.

I'm taking my daughter today to file an accident report. Yesterday was homecoming and I didn't want to make her miss it to go to the police station.

    She sure sounds like it.

We didn't have to file a report but the insurance company will ask if a report was filed and I wanted all bases covered. I've had a couple bad experiences over the years where people didn't notify their insurance company of the accident and I played hell getting them to pay. One was in my first company car and the person wouldn't acknowledge the accident. My boss turned their name in to the collection agency we use and threatened to sue them for reimbursement. The person finally woke up and called their insurance company. Another time the persons insurance company had to threaten to cancel them to get a call back. So, I'm always suspicious in the case of an accident.

I just had a package from Snus Central sit in an "FDA paperwork loop" in Europe for 2 days before it crossed to the US. The explanation on their site isn't very clear. Do any of you boys know what they have to report to the FDA? It's never happened on a package from there before. Is it a first step in collecting their draconian tobacco taxes?

Don't know FC. I had one shipment disappear for over a week after arriving in the country. It supposedly was something about the FDA but, when the package arrived, it looked untouched and I never heard anything else. That was a few years ago so I don't know. It could have just been waiting for someone to sign off for all I know.

Wow, just wow. I think I may have stumbled upon one of God's healers.

I mentioned limping around for the last three weeks after stepping on a dog bone at night in my stockings. I was really waiting until after I enrolled in my healthcare stuff, around the,16th, to find a doctor and get it looked at. When I went to my chiro yesterday as he keeps getting the shoulder I fell on 3 or 4 years ago back to 100%, I mentioned my foot and the bone I stepped on. He said, "Let's look at it".

He did his thing, had me stretch my foot and toes in all directions and then said I had locked up the muscles on the outside edges of my foot which was precisely where the pain was radiating from. He went up to my left ear, felt around for a few seconds and pinched an area when he found the right spot. A few deep breaths and the pain in the ear area disappears. After that, he used his ball peen hammer device on spots in my hip area and down my leg, finishing up on areas of the foot itself. That brought a bit of pain in the area where I had stepped on the bone.

Then he had me stand up and give it a feel. It wasn't perfect but a lot better. For the first time since the incident, I had some flexibility in my foot. I went out to his receptionist to set up my monthly appointment and said I might be calling in before if my foot started tightening up again. As I said, it wasn't perfect, but much better. I don't expect I'll be returning before my appointment.

When I got up this morning, the dog immediately was whining to go out. I put my shoes on, grabbed his leash and headed out the door (coat soon to be required). When I headed down the eight steps from the deck to drive, it was like I never hurt my foot. Wait, that's an exaggeration. It is like 98% of normal. I have a full trailer of wood I need to gather up today, haul it home and unload. I was dreading the thought of it before, now I'm curious how I'll hold up. However, I'm real confident.
