Ok I have an idea of how it works as well. I downloaded and updated the firmware V2.32 and I don't see anything in the menu for it. So an automatic feature maybe?

I have not experienced it. I run mostly in temp mode, however just tried going above 75W in Power mode and all is good.I hope this is the correct thread to ask this in but I was told that using the new v2.32 update on a dual battery SXJ that the screen glitches out when you try to go above 75 watts. Can anyone here confirm this?
You won't get a 80w vape from 40J. I doubt even set to PowerFu+ that you' get enough heat into the coil to get that level of vape. Crank it all the way up to 75J and give it a try.I just upgraded a Boxer to 2.32
No screen aberration up to 120
Crown .25Ω SS316(?) so .00092 @ 40J 500F compensation 25C is OK meh
back to 80W power mode.
Anyone have good safe settings that will give an 80W equivalent hit?
Thanks! That got it in the ballpark. .00094 @ 69J 450F is way betterYou won't get a 80w vape from 40J. I doubt even set to PowerFu+ that you' get enough heat into the coil to get that level of vape. Crank it all the way up to 75J and give it a try.
Also, the TCR of your coil isn't necessarily (or even likely) .00092. I don't have a Crown, but pre-built coils generally use a different metal for the legs of the coil to prevent the insulators from getting burnt. That means the overall TCR of the coil will be different (higher), So I recommend bumping the TCR up in small increments (.00002) until the vape suits you.
Hopefully down the road manufacturers will publish TCRs specifically for their coils.
Got an email from Ginger Vaper and thought I'd share a few things with their permission.
1) There is a new firmware update w/ the Boxer logo on the site. Also, they will receive a 150W firmware update sometime soon.
I've never had a 26650 mod before.
I looked at RTD for specs and see MNKE has this:
Genuine MNKE IMR 26650 3500mAh 3.7v
Maximum Continuous Discharging Current 20 A
Maximum Instantaneous Discharging Current 60 A
Maximum Continuous Charging Current 6.5 A
Maximum Rated Discharging Current 30 A
Nominal Voltage 3.8 V
Maximum Charge Voltage 4.2±0.05 V
We'd call this a 30A 3500 mah battery that can be charged faf?

2) They are working on a new YiHi Boxer, which should be available in November-ish. What's different this time? It's a 26650 mod. So if you want more battery life, but need something more slim/pocketable than a dual 18650 - here ya go.
Boxer 26650 - 81.5mm x 29.5mm x 51.2mm (3.2” x 1.16” x 2.01”)
SXMini M-Class - 94mm x 25mm x 41.5mm (3.7" x 0.98" x 1.63")
Boxer Dual 18650 - 80.5mm x 41.5mm x 39.2mm (3.17″ x 1.63″ x 1.54″)
And the Vape Droid design is complete.![]()
Hoping the 26650 mod gets outfitted with the V2 chipset...
