No apologies needed, Jingles.
I am interested in the cCell coils, too. Wish they had them for the Airs, I would give them a try. I'm all about the flavor, just like you.

Well Hey There CA You Got It! Fantastic! I know You have been Pretty excited about getting it and Now You Have it In Hand! Awesome! Who cares if it doesn't match! I'm like Lynn some of My setups look Weird or Out of Place but they Work & Taste that's the Most Important Thang!

Ah, You have an X-Cube Too! I have a number of Different smok Box Mods. Nothing organised about them at all just Great Deals I had to Jump on! Some of the Best Deals I've got have Been on the SMOK Box Mods! Recently got a couple XPro BT50's. Didn't need em but for the price ($10 each) I just had to try em! They Connect to your Smart Phone with Bluetooth to adjust and Monitor! Just Crazy! But they are a Little Smaller fit the Pocket Nice and 50 watts can handle some Great tanks & Coils! And they Have a Great Selection of Unique Colors! The Pro Series have some Great Options available!!

When You get back and Wrap that thing make sure you share it with us!

Have a Great Weekend!

Skully {:{}

Mine showed up today! It was a total surprise. I was only able to track it to when it entered the country (on the 6th) so I didn't know when it would be here. Now I can't wait for my white Cubis tank to get here!! It's supposed to be Monday but DHL hands my stuff over to USPS so it will probably be Tuesday. Until then I am running my Reaper Plus on it because I just set it up and got it ready for our trip this weekend and the iStick is just so much more portable than the X-Cube II I was running the Reaper on. it doesn't match very well, but it sure is a delicious vape!!! :)

Hey Kabong: Congrats on the Two iStick 100 TC's! Personally, I would never consider taking my RX200's or DNA 200 out of the House just Too Big! They are more comfortable next to my Recliner or on the work bench in the garage! The iStick 100 TC is much more comfortable, user and pocket friendly going out! But even then there are smaller Mods that are much easier to transport! But between the Wismec and iStick, definitely the iStick works much better for out and about!

Both have Killer Battery Life and are Great for those Energy Graving Coils!
What about Your Better Half what does She say about the Two Mods and their Portability? Or is She just Sporting the iStick? Her Thoughts on the iStick?

Skully {:{}

Got two of them in (the one that got lost in the mail magically showed up), really a cool little mod, gave the second one to the wife. I have a hard time picking between this one and my RX200 because I like them so much. The Reuleaux won today, but tomorrow is gonna be an iStick day. Really dig the thing and battery life is stellar at about 35-40 watts!

Hey Jingles: I'm doing the cCells just like you! I don't have the Tanks or Mods! I have the cCell's in the Aspire Atlantis, Triton & Atlantis Mega Tanks. I'm almost Two (2) Months into using them!

Old Atlantis Tank? Is that the Original Version 1? Two Weeks is Nothing for the cCells you haven't even Broke it in Yet! The iStick 50 has the Power to Run em! You have any other Mods and tanks you can use with the cCells? Did you get a Pack of 5? I take it you have the .9 Kanthal? The way You have it set up I'd say you are MTL 'Mouth To Lung' Hitter?

You are Not the First to Wish for them in GS Air and Nautilus design! Though that would be Cool I'm not so sure that Vaperoresso will? I could see a Chinese company coming out with a Type of Clone or something!?? I think that would be more likely but Heck I could be totally wrong!

Oh Boy, Lynn & Nanny Get Us with Those Eye's Don't They! Both are Mesmerizing! I think Lynn's is a Bit More Seductive and Nanny's is More Psychedelic! Just My Opinion! But Both are Vaping Masters So Watch Out! Ha Ha Ha!

Skully {:{}

Wow Nanny! I didn't know that you had gotten a Vapresso tank! I don't have that tank, but I do have the cCell coils. I am really liking the flavor from the cCells. I am using it in my old Atlantis tank with a narrow drip tip and the airflow halfway closed. I have it on my IStick 50 at 27 Watts. I am in my second week of using it with the same coil and the flavor is still excellent. I wish there were ceramic coils for the GS Airs or the Nautilus tanks!

Thanks, IMRs! I really like the finish on it. It's a pearly-white. So much better than the dark gray for me. :)

I have 2 Evic mini's with the pearl white and one with grey. I can interchange the colors with the battery covers. It's about time they came out with more white. I think the white mods are pretty cool looking.

Hello all!
I joined this website hoping to see if someone can lead me in the right direction? The question I have is about the CCELL Ni200 coils? I can not find any range to use them! I noticed in this forum that "Skullman" and "KelogGes" have been writing about them. Give you some info on my gear = Triton 2, with the Joyetech Cuboid 150 watt, no upgrade, do not see a need to go to 200 watts? I do have the Istick tc40, but I use that with my aspire Nautilus and the mini, easier to conceal and carry around. Back to the CCELL I get vapor cloud production (I'm not a cloud chaser) But I want the flavor, and I am not getting it with these! It is very very muted? Almost to the point of NO Flavor? I have been up and down the temperature and the wattage in TC mode for Ni coils, I have done the initial ohm check at room temprature and locked it in? But Now when I put the Aspire Clapton 0.5 ohm in the flavor is awesome. I bought the CCELLs for the flavor, sort of wished I would have bought the kanthals! Any help from you all would be appreciated! I am new to this, 3 months in and 3 months off the smokes!!! Happy about that, flavor or no flavor!!! Thank you for any help!!!!

Hi and welcome!

Each coil has sort of its own personality. Since you're using both the cCell and Clapton heads in the same tank, you remove many of the variables. The next place I would experiment is airflow. The more restrictive (tighter) the draw, the more liquid is drawn into the head and to the wicking.

Since you're using the Triton 2, I'm assuming that you're a direct-to-lung (DTL) vaper, as opposed to mouth-to-lung (MTL). Either way, the following method should get you where you want to be. The easiest way to figure this out is by only changing one variable at a a time and improving the vape with each step.

Make sure your Cuboid is in Temp Ni mode. Start with the temp set at 420 deg F and wattage at 50 (ceramic coils tend to need a bit more power to heat quickly). Tighten the airflow control a bit at a time, until you reach maximum flavor. You'll most likely reach a point where tightening any further doesn't noticeably increase flavor. Tightening any further may increase the risk of gurgling and flooding (depending on other variables, including how you vape). Next, adjust the temp up or down until the flavor "pops".

Once you have the airflow and temp dialed in, try to monitor the display and notice the wattage being applied while you vape and if the Cuboid reaches "Protection" (your preset temp). It should be reaching "Protection" and power being applied should roughly even out at your set temp. Adjust the wattage to 10ish Watts above where things seem to even out while vaping. Vape it for a while. If the coil seems like it is taking a very long time to heat up, bump up the wattage to where it takes approx one second to get to temp ("Protection"). That's about the best that coil, in that tank, will get you.

You MAY have to go though this process with every new coil head but you'll have a very close point to start from. You may have to adjust temp for each flavor you vape, as flavors often have their own "sweet spot". Almost all vacuum based tanks require a balance (sometimes trade-off) between flavor and airflow.

This process works with most every tank, clearomizer or RTA.

Let us know how you make out. Good luck!

Thank you very much Aldenf!
I started with the Istick TC40 and both Aspire Nautilus's, but I was up to 24mg of nicotine, trying to beat the urges! Plus trying to vape MTL on the Nautilus's is llike trying to suck a Mcdonald's chocolate shake thru a coffee stirring straw, wasn't for me, but are very nice tanks. That is when I went to the Triton 2 and the Cuboid, found out that I AM a DTL, and have reduced my nicotine to 3mg and prefer sub ohming a lot better. I am not the cloud chaser, but love the flavor. I do not know what I was thinking buying the Ni200 CCELL, From My understanding TC is a bit more for not burning the cotton? Well the Ceramic really does not have cotton, at least touching the coil! Should have gotten the Kanthal, a noobie mistake! Well Thank you very much, I'll give it another go with your suggestions and will report back here in a week! Thank you.

There has been much talk about the Ni200 cCells. Some have reported needing much higher temperature settings than they are used to, upwards of 600 deg F. I also believe that many vapers simply enjoy vaping at much higher temps than is currently believed to be safe, finding TC not to their liking. They try tricking the chipset into giving them what they desire. By doing so, however, they negate almost all the safety aspects of the technology.

TC was developed for many reasons but mostly for safety. Burning our wick is only a small part of the safety concern. It is loosely believed now, pending further studies, that our e-liquids break down into undesirable components when temperatures reach 700 deg F. By limiting temp to 600 F, it is believed we avoid said detrimental breakdown. Realize that cotton and Rayon, if dry, WILL burn at <600 F.

Scintillated ceramic coils, like the cCells, are very new on the market. New technologies never quite seem to be perfected before being released to the vaping community, turning us into unofficial beta testers. If you decide to return to the Kanthal-based cCells, they should operate nicely at whatever wattage the Ni200 coil settles into while vaping. Adding 5W, to the non-TC coils, will help with heating ramp-up. Again, you'll have to play a little. Remember you are "sucking" the e-liquid THROUGH the ceramic wick to the coil. A little tighter draw may be required than that for cotton/Rayon.

I realize it may seem a bit complicated. After you dial things in, it should be smooth vaping for you.

Well Hey There MotorcityVapeman and Welcome! Sorry to hear you are having a Not So Pleasant Experience with the Ni cCell Coils! aldenf has shared some Great info there! I don't know how much you have read of my experiences with the cCell Coils I don't think I have posted that much here? In Fact I was thinking of Re-Posting what I've posted in a Different Thread when I First Started Using the cCells near Two Months ago. Hmmmm?

First Off this will be My 13 Cents worth so take it with a Grain of Salt and do you own Research and Experimentation! Most Folks that Do Not Care for TC Don't Really Know How to Use it! May Have Had Bad Coils, Equipment or eLiquid and Haven't given it another Chance! Knowing How to Use TC Properly is a Great Way To Start!

Like I said I'm almost Two Months in on using Both the .9 Kanthal and .2 Ni200 TC Coils in Heavy Daily use in Eight Tanks. I have No Experience with the Triton 2 Tanks. I'm Using Original Triton Tanks and the Atlantis Mega Tanks. I have since added the Original Atlantis Tanks to the Fold and the Tobeco Mini Supertank. But the original Tanks I listed will be used for Evaluation.

First thing I noticed with your situation I see No Talk about Your eLiquid??? What are You Using? PG? VG? % Ratios? You've given us the Nic Level. With TC I have Found that Quality of eLiquid and PG/VG % Ratio can Really make a Difference!

With My eLiquids VG Runs from 70% to 85%. I only had one Problem with a Single Coil not Reading Correctly (Short) on a WISMEC Realeaux RX200 in a Mega Tank. When I tried to remove it, it was not in the Base but up in the Chimney? I've found that at some Refills this has happened. Also the cCells were a Little tough to install in the Triton Tanks like there was a Bad Spot in the Threads had to back Thread a couple times to get them to install properly!?? Other then That No Problems! After initial Priming of them all I went to town!

Every Coil Hit Great and was Intensely Flavorful from the Start! There was a Flavor I could Not identify or Pin Down and think that it may be the Ceramic or Cotton in each but it went away quite quickly! I've been Vaping them in Rotation Every Day since! All Day Every Day! Many Many ml's of eLiquid have gone through them! I have kept a Log but it's not in front of me. I have only given Myself Breaks from them to Break Up Vape Mouth or Give Myself a Treat with other Flavors from time to time. My Best ADV's are being used!

I inspect the Coils at every Full Fill and there has been No sign of Extreme Wear or Use! My High VG Liquid goes from Relatively Clear to Very Dark High in Sugar content. It's Like They Haven't even Been Broken in Yet!

I Really Don't See much of a Difference in Flavor between the Kanthal and Ni200 cCell Coils but Then I have been doing this a while and Can Dial in Wattage for Best Vape on the Kanthal Coils.

Questions? How many Tanks are You Running the Ni Coils in? We Need to Know about your eLiquid? PG/VG % Ratio? Have You Tried other eLiquid? What Temps & Watts are/were You Running on Average? Have You Changed out the cCell Coils in Your Tanks? could Be a Bad Coil!?? Have You inspected the Original cCell Coil? Compared it to the other cCell Coils? Something is Suspect especially if You are getting Cloud Production but No or Muted Flavor??? I'm Not a Cloud Chaser Either, Flavor and Vape are My Goal but you should still Produce Impressive Clouds! But With FLAVOR!!!! AWESOME FLAVOR!

Just Going the Kanthal Route is the Easy Route and Basically Giving Up! You have TC Devices do You want to use them?

Fill Us in with All the Rest and Lets See if We can Help You Out?

Congrats on Getting Off the Sticks!

Hello Skullman,
LOL, on the skully name, I have a friend we call skully( actual name Bill, but I am the only one that can get away calling him Billie, and we go up north to camp and dirtbike, we call it the skullathon!
Anyhow thank you for the info! Right now I have only the one tank Aspire Triton 2 for sub ohming, the other 2 I barley use are the 2 Aspire Nautilus and the mini Nautilus, good MTL when I first started, but I found I liked the DTL hits, not really for the clouds, but liked the flavor, Started with the Aspire clapton .5, in wattage mode.
So I decided to try the CCElls, and got a % pack of the Ni200? WHY? Do not know, should've bought the Kanthals, being a noob I did not, just using wattage is so much easier!! But I am not giving up! just need to learn the learning curve! I am having great success with the wattage mode, but not TC mode! Maybe I should try my Istick TC 40 and not my Joyetech Cuboid 150 watt?

So for the questions, only the Triton 2 tank, coils fit fine, no problems, same coils as the Aspire Atlantis and Triton 1. Eliquid? I am using a 80vg/20pg only, I have about 6 different flavors. I do have some 50/50, but I bought that for my Nautilus and has 24mg of nicotine, I can not use it for the sub ohm, kills my throat. I have not tried another Ni200 coil, only the one, figured the vapor cloud was there, must be good, just me not knowing which way to go in the TC watts and temp range? What settings? If I remember correctly, I started at 35 watts and about 375 F, then moved up the temp range in 10 degrees, sometimes flavor got better, but still nowhere close to the stock coils? So then I went up the wattage, then again the temps, I was like a dog fascinated with my tail? Kept chasing it all day long until I was dizzy? :nah:
I am almost done with this tank full, time for a cleaning put the Ni200 Ccell back in and try what Aldenf suggested? Ill try it on both Mods, if I have no luck, i'll try a new Ccell , see what happens there. Then I'll return and give you guy's some feedback! See if we can figure this out? Thank you all for the help!

Time for bed, I am done studying for my test tomorrow (LOL, Being tested for a new job, something that I have done for over 25 years?:-x) and need to go to sleep!

Hey MV: Yeah, Skull is My Last Name! I've been the Skullman since I was Twelve Years old! Folks have played off my name in various ways all my life. I kinda like Skully! The Last Motorcycle Club I was in The Doc started calling me Skully and it stuck!

Your PG VG % Ratio Sounds Fine! I'm thinking that the Coil may be Suspect! Personally I would have Started Lower on Both Wattage and Temp to Start out! You may want to Try that if/when you start over!

Update; I just got done messing around with My Wismec DNA Reuleaux 200 & IPV D2 Both have the cCell Ceramic .2 Ni TC Coils with the Same eLiquid. I Ran up the Temps and Wattage on Both and got Big Clouds and Muted Flavor! Kinda Yucky Muted Flavor! Now I'm thinking the Coil may be just fine!

Maybe You just Started out to High Both Wattage and Temp for Your eLiquid!??

Try starting out a Lot Lower on Temp and Wattage like 275 degrees and 20 watts and see what happens? Then move up slowly from there!

I've found that iStick 40 TC's tend to Run a bit Hotter to Get Equal Vape and Flavor then other Mods but Your Experience May Differ!??

Let Us Know How Things Go!

Skully {:{}

Howdy MCVM

I am still learning using cCells by using with a new Triton ver 1 and my 40W TC iStick
its been quite a learning curve to get it all dialed in to say the least; I am using cCell nickel coils; controlling in TC mode; so I cant say how to use cCell kanthal coils controlled with watts (ask Skully)

TC mode controls by temperature, not by watts or voltage

I suggest on your Triton TRY opening up the lower bottom airflow control to about 1/2 way open or more and your upper top airflow opening closed down ALMOST all the way to just a little opening !

start at about 380 degrees F and go up in 10 degree F steps and vape several times before moving to higher temps to 450 degrees F and find the best sweet spot you like best

after this you can try higher temps if you want step by step but i think you will find your sweet spot in this range ?

Adjust temperature for best flavor

I almost forgot make sure your juice always smells fresh not burnt or sharp by smelling it regularly ! washing your tank regularly

I am running my temp right now @ 420 F using 50/50 % pg/vg mix! sometimes 400-450 F

CA, I hope you never get to see some of my setups! Lol Right now I have a gold Kangxin mini VF mod with a white/red Vapresso tank. I stick out like a sore thumb! :w00t: There's a guy at work with a complete black Kanger Subox setup that laughs at me every day when he sees me. I don't care though! I love the mod and the tank! And it works for me! :D
Hahaha, I know what you mean, Lynn. It really is all about how the mod and tank work together. My setup still doesn't match, lol. I ended up getting a silver Cubis tank but I have a white Tobeco Super Tank Mini on the way. It should be here tomorrow, so we'll see if the whites match up or not. The finish on the iStick is a really pretty pearly white and the Target tank is more of a marshmallow white so they don't match perfectly, either. Since the Tobeco tank also takes cCells, though, I am jazzed about that. I also have a HUGE amount of my favorite juice on the way so I should be good to go for a while! :)
