Only when it ask me. Sometimes it will do it very fast, but not ask about the coil. Not sure how to force it to do that.
Well the way I usually do it is to unscrew the tank from the Pico. Press the fire button a couple of times. It will show "no atomizer". Then screw tank back on and press fire button again. It should ask you if it is a new coil. Just remember that you need to be in TC mode when you do that.

Cool I just noticed that the charger that fits my cellphone and Samsung tablet is the same charger that works with the Pico. Just tested it. That means I can use my car phone charger with my Pico, and never have to worry about my battery dying on me again. Loving this thing even more. :)

It's a standard "micro USB" plug.

The mod will draw what it has been designed for (1A for the JTechs) up to what the power supply is designed to provide, whichever is lower. As long as you don't try to over-draw from a very low current supply... all day, every day... then you shouldn't have a problem using most of today's common chargers.

Been eyeing an Alleria at a local shop and finally bought the silly thing today. Put a build on it and curiosity got the better of me. I'm happy to report that it will fit on the Pico, BUT there are some caveats with this pair! You will have to loosen the battery cap to adjust the AFC on it, as stated the knurling is large for the Pico, but it can be used.

Those Panasonics are 6a batteries.

VTC4's aren't all that great unless you're using a mech. Even then, the capacity isn't great.

HE4's are similar to 25r's.

In a regulated mod, The LG HE2/HE4/HG2 or Samsung 25r/30q(?) are just fine.
Those Panasonic batteries are 10 amps, and great up to 30w. The LG hg2 and Samsung 30q have more capacity and a higher cdr of course.

This was kind of odd. I was in the middle of taking a draw on the Merlin RTA with it on the Pico, and all of a sudden the vape stopped. I looked at the screen it it showed 0.00ohm. The tank was screwed down all the way, but I was able to tighten it just a small bit and it went back up to 0.19ohm. Isn't this supposed to have a spring loaded 510 center pin?

Does the Pico use a flat top battery only?
Not sure the batteries I have in there now are the small button top. I think someone said that it would work with flat top, but I am not sure on that. I got it working again, but I can unscrew the tank half way and the ohms don't change. So it's kind of strange that it randomly zeroed out like that and that I had to tighten it just a little for it to work again.

You can stuff a button top in the pico, it will put strain on the positive pin inside the battery tube and may cause damage.
They are designed to use a flat top cell, another problem using button top is most do not have a suitable CDR.
I'll keep that in mind when I buy new batteries. I wouldn't think it would be too bad unless I screw the battery cap on really tight. I just tighten it down to where it is snug. I would have though the positive pin on the Pico would have been spring loaded like most other mods. But It's not. Strange.

I have had no issues at all using button tops in my Picos. All my other mods take button tops, so that's all I've got. The battery cap screws all the way down no problem. I imagine it might be an issue if you used the button tops and then switched to flat?

I've searched the users manual, and there is no reference to flat top or button top in it at all.

Just looked in this thread a little, and I've gotten the "Device Too Hot" message. But its only happened when the battery is pretty much dead. I don't think it has anything to do with the button top.

I've never gotten that error, but I'm a tootle puffer--1.4 ohm coil at 10 watts. I am by no means pushing the device to its limits!

Yea, I normally don't go anywhere over 25W I never feel it getting hot. I know my batteries are old. I bough them brand new with my Lavatube 2.5 when it came out.

Does anyone know if the 510 center pin on the pico is magnetic or just spring loaded? It's strange that it somehow shorted out when the tank was screwed down.

Just wondered, I have both types of batts. The Picos have piqued my interest with so many using them, and liking them. I am a tootle puffer, building the atties on my Provaries to about 2.0-2.5Ω and running 8-10watts. Most of the Pico's goodies would be overkill for me and not used. I would run it in vw mode. I have an ego one 22mm tank coming, and I think this would be perfect for another out, and about mod. I haven't read thru this thread yet, but I'm working on it slowly. :)
