TIOA Sns9 eps 44: Anjel rode Thunder, or more Thunder watched over her, the horse watching the two in front and listening to the two guards behind. Hunter went up by the side of his father. "So you want to shoot targets or finally go hunting?" Hunter listened and Anjel got closer. "I...... just the targets father." Scott looked at him as they went down the rest of the way of the city and placed his right hand on Hunter. "It is okay, both of our aims need to be better."
The group left the city and towards the trees, there were two targets of white with red stripes waiting. Hunter and Scott pulled up on the horses and they stopped, Anjel pulled but the horse was moving towards the others and stopped on its own, and started eating grass as she got off, the two guards sat on their horses talking to each other and looking around.
Hunter and Scott took the arrows and bows off the horses, and Scott said to Hunter. "Remember pull the bow away from you, do not have the bow out long and bring the arrow back." Scott listened and went against what he had done before. He placed and arrow in the string and drew the bow forward, he let it loose, the arrow flew and hit at the bottom of the target. "It is okay, try again." Hunter took another arrow and aimed a little higher, the arrow loosed again and hit high on the target.
Hunter sighed, his aim not good and Anjel came near. "Can I help you?" Hunter turned to Anjel shocked, and said. "You know the sword, do you know the bow?" Anjel smiled as Scott came near he said to her. "Take mine." Scott gave the bow and arrows to Anjel, she took an arrow out and said. "Do not think of your arm as an arm, it is a part of your sight." She put the arrow in the string and pushed the bow away.
"Your arm is the flight path, think of it that way." and loosed, the arrow flew and it hit two inches under center. "Wow." said Hunter and put another in, he thought of his arm as his eye and went faster, the arrow flew and hit just left of center. He was shocked and happy, the closest he had ever done. He took another arrow and did the same. "Breath out slow as you loose." said Anjel. Hunter listened and breathed out slow, he let the arrow fly, and it landed in his last arrow splitting it.
"Amazing!" he said as he took another more excited and forgot to breath and think of his arm, the arrow flew over the top of the target. "Shoot." said Hunter and Anjel got near him. "It is okay, you forgot to breath and aim with your arm." She took another arrow and shot, and hit the center. "You are a good shot, I thought you said you knew the sword?" asked Hunter.
"Yes, and do you want me to show you some?" replied Anjel. Hunter nodded and Scott was standing beside them smiling, Anjel went to the guards. "Give me your swords." The guards not listening looked at Scott and he nodded yes, the two guards gave her their swords and she went back to Hunter. "These are much heavier than the one's I have." she handed Hunter a sword and it fell to the ground heavy in his hands.
Theodous woke and looked his food still on his chest, he moved it over and got up looking at the bars. He placed his feet on the brick ground, the room cool and damp, he went over to the sink and washed his face looking in the mirror. He took a brush and combed his hair and beard and went back to the bed.
The eggs were old and cold, he took the turkey leg and chewed on it, thinking. The days were long sitting in the cell, and he was given one hour each week out to walk, and books to read. He had read almost all the books that could be given him and sighed. He laid back down in the bed and rested his head, he thought of his mother and brothers.
Theo's eyes started to get heavy again and closed. "There look mom!" "Shhhh." she said back. Jarrett was pointing at a small city as the night came on. "Let's go." he said and their mother responded back. "No, wait. We need to watch." The boys were disappointed wanting to go to a tent or building with heat. Abby pointed where the boys should go, Theo in front of her on Runner. Her oldest sons moved their horses to the right looking at the little city getting mad at their mother.
Abby moved Runner to the right as well, looking at the city. Her son's were just coming to a stop when there was a scream. Abby looked and listened carefully, Runner's ears picked up. "What is it mom?" asked Theo. "Shhhhh." was her reply, there was more screaming and then a fire. The building caught quickly and another fire. The shouts of war in the city rose and Abby said. "Let's go boys." Theo watched, the bear skinned men were many and came at them from two sides.
Theo watched as one of the biggest lifted a very heavy sword, as another man came at him. It fell fast and hard, the sword of the smaller man fell back and the big man's went down hard. Crushing the small helmet of the man into his head, he pulled it back out and went forward, a woman came at him with a dagger, she was take down with an arrow. The bear skinned men went forward, both sides of the city started to burn with fire. "Go boys, go!" said Abby silent but enough for them to hear. "Father?!? No!!!" shouted a young girl, she watched him being killed and looked on as one took her away, she said nothing else as she watched her mother and other sister come out being killed.
