I think my curiosity is killing me. I haven't had a cig since the day I bought my ecig. Do they taste horrible now? I'm so curious to see "how bad they are" to confirm I'm never wanna go back and they're nasty BUT I'm scared I'll go back to my old ways if I try one.

I haven't had one in over a year and no desire to try. As bad as they smell now I know they must taste ten times worse. Besides, I think somewhere in my head I'm a little afraid of getting hooked again. Definitely don't want that to happen, especially not with as much money as I have invested in vaping gear!

I haven't had a cigarette since February 2014, but the last one I tried I put out after just 4 puffs because I couldn't stand the taste.

I'm not worried about relapsing or getting hooked on smoking again. When I quit smoking I walked around with a half pack of cigarettes in my pocket for a month before I finally threw them away. I quit smoking because I no longer liked smoking, not because I was forcing myself to. To me that's amazing, considering I smoked more than a pack a day of Camel Filters and Camel 99s for 30 years before quitting.

I tried one last Saturday night while drinking and playing cards and I almost threw up. It was like that first smoke when we were kids and thought how gross it was... Then somehow we started that habit. So for me yes they are now horrible.

I did suffer a month-long relapse, mainly due to my illness last summer rather than any withdrawal problem. At the time I first smoked again, it didn't taste great, but after not eating or vaping for 4 days, NOTHING tasted good, so it was just more of the same. I can tell you that within 3 days, I found that I had smoked an entire pk one day, before 6pm... and that scared me, so I set about once again doing the gradual-smoking-out and gradual-vaping-in. The unpleasantness I noted with cigarettes, after having been smoke-free for 3.5 months before that relapse, was that they REALLY burned my mouth, like the smoke was an acid on my flesh or something. And the stink.. ugh. Everytime I'd go out to smoke, the very minute I came back in, I had to wash my hands and apply my vanilla-scented lotion, just to get rid of the reek.

It's really not worth it, if you have no particular reason to return to smoking. It'll get its hooks back in, licketysplit.

I recently tried one at a party and I can honestly say I have no idea how I chain smoked for over 30 years!

It tasted like I licked an ashtray!!!

The sad part though is that I still get that little voice in my head every now and again that says "hey you, you want a cigarette!":-x

No little voice... I do NOT want a cigarette ever again!!!!!!

I haven't smoked an analog since September 1st 2012 and to be honest I have zero desire to. My girlfriend still smokes and it doesn't make me want to smoke, in fact it encourages me to stay away from them because it smells rancid. Somewhere around the 6-8 months of not smoking my mentality completely changed from 'I need to go have a smoke' to 'I need to go vape' and other than when she smokes I don't think about analogs at all.

I smoked 2 yesterday, yesterday was a party day in holland, King's day (aka Queen's day) i got wasted and thus smoked 2 sigs in total. Can't remember the taste but i didn't seemed to mind at the time.. :/ But sometimes when i am sober (haha, that sounds so wrong :) ) i do take a puff from a friend who is smoking and funnily enough a sigaret tastes burned..

For a while I also got that little voice, that little nudge, but I'd just recollect -- ohh, vaping! Grab my mod and go to town. Now when I feel the nudge, it's telling me I want a vape, not a smoke. :D

I had a dream about vaping/smoking last night, I just remembered. Glad to know I was vaping in my dreams, too -- I guess my subconscious has finally figured out that nudging me to cigarettes is a non-starter. :D

For the first 2 months or so of vaping I still had cravings for a smoke (particularly first thing in the morning), then for the next few months, like you I was curious as to how I would like a cigarette but was worried that even one puff would set me back so I didn't try it. As time has gone on, I now don't think about it at all and am so pleased to be an ex-smoker :)

I'm at 3 weeks now, the day my Evods came in I had 3 smokies left in the pack. The last one late that night tasted pretty nasty. I've been
making a point to if anything, vape Too Much to be sure I'm keeping my nic levels up. I really haven't had the desire for one.

Try This. I GUARANTEE if you do, you won't smoke another one.

Get a coffee can, empty those last couple ashtrays into it. Add about an inch or two of water and Put. The. Lid. On. Tight.

If you even Think you Might Think about a cigarette, put your nose and mouth inside that can and Take A Big Huff.

I'll GuarenDamnTee you you won't smoke that ciggie after that.

I have not had a cigarette in about 7 weeks. There is a part of me that wants to have one, and lately it has been tougher. But the recollection of those aspects I didn't like about "being" a smoker that tends to put me off. For a long time, I vaped and smoked, hoping the smoking would start to taste bad--it didn't happen for me. That sort of scares me, and it has encouraged me "work" at switching entirely to vaping.
