IPV3 510 Connector Replacement

Hey everyone. Looking for a little advice on replacing the 510 in my IPV3. I have a Varitube 22mm 510 on the way and it looks pretty straight forward. The thing I'm confused about is the fact that the IPV3 only uses a positive lead on the 510 and no negative lead. Is this going to be an issue with the Varitube installation?

I'm guessing the negative lead is grounded to the box? Does it go from the chip to the somewhere on the box like a Hana? If so, it should be fine. I put fdv on a Hana that way.

The chip is grounded to the box yes. I was figuring that is how it works upon further inspection.
