ECF Members can help everyone by reporting spam to the Moderators.

This is very useful because you may well see it before our team does. All you need to do is hit the warning triangle icon at the bottom of the left column, in the offending post.

You get a message box then, and you can put a message about it there. Just a simple SPAM or ABUSE is fine. Here are things you might see that you could report:

Spam
This is often obvious - links to N1ke or V1agr@ sites, and that kind of thing.

Abuse
Members need to treat each other with respect. You can attack someone's post - but not the poster. Strong or abusive language is not allowed. If you see it - report it please.

Unregistered suppliers
Traders are not allowed to post adverts here (that is, anything to do with their products), unless they have registered with us and been approved. All registered suppliers have that under their username, in some form, such as: 'Registered Supplier - offline', ECF Approved Supplier, or similar. If they have 'Supplier - unregistered' it means they have not been approved yet, or were rejected. Any posts referencing some kind of products for sale, that are not from a Registered Supplier, can be reported (except in the Classifieds section).

Thanks for your help!

Although we have a large Moderator team here at ECF, it is very hard to check every post in every thread in every forum. We rely heavily on members' input in regards to thread and post contents. After all, our members make these forums what they are, and without you, we'd be non-existent.

If you see a post you think violates the Rules: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/announcements-rules/51178-forum-rules.html]
...which can be offensive language, spam, advertising, etc, then what you can do is report it. Here's how:

If you see an offending post, click the little
report.gif
icon. In this picture, you can see it circled on the post. It will always be in the same spot.

When you click it, the next screen will show a box where you can type some text to the moderators to tell us how this post broke the rules.

When you click next, it will make a thread in the Moderators' section where we can look at it and follow up on any action taken.

The post looks like this:

If you are unsure if a post is breaking the rules, report it anyway.

We thank you for taking the time to keep our forums spam and flame-free!

-ECF Staff.
