Is there a good weight based mixing program available for Android devices? Please don't suggest one for a computer, I am not running out to buy a computer to mix eliquid. Thanks

I have not tried it yet as I am brand new to weight based mixing and my android device but earlier in this thread the app. Liquix, available for very short money at the app store, was recommended .

I don't care so much about the increased accuracy, I probably can't tell the difference. But, the concept of 'less hassle' intrigues me. So I just ordered me a Amazon.com : My Weigh Ibalance 201 Table Top Precision Scale - SCM201 : Educational And Hobby Weighing Scales : Office Products

...along with a 500pk ($10) of disposable pipettes!

I have a good feeling about this....:vapor:

ETA: I ordered that one because a poster mentioned that you can turn off the auto-shut off feature so I can take my time. Also it comes with an AC adapter and calibration weight.

I have a couple other E-calculators and there is a great one listed above by one of our members but for a $1.39 I took a chance and did my first ever app. purchase. You have to enter all your ingredients and flavors one time but after that it seem to be a real nice app and with the push of a button, it switches between units of measure ml /g / drops / % . I like it and found it quite intuitive.

I have already started to put most of my syringes away :)

Would this make a suitable scale?

Yes, it should be fine.
Any reasonably accurate 10mg scale should be good.
Main differences will be the highest amount it can weigh and a few other things like auto-off time.

From what I have gathered, most modern scales are pretty accurate to the 10mg level. But YMMV obviously.

I had been thinking about getting a scale for this for a while, but kept putting it off.I was figuring even if i didn't mix by weight,i could still use it to weigh out my em crystals, etc. Well i scored the best deal i've ever found and got me a scale haha. When i looked this thing up,it retails for right around $90-$118 depending on the seller, but i found it at a thrift store of all places haha, and paid a whopping $7.50 for it.Came home and weighed a few things that i know the weight of,and it's dead on.Now the next time i make some juice up,i'm going to give the mixing by weight a go,definitely seems easier, and easier is always good haha.

After picking it up,i realized all the potential for this thing.I have sold several little small items on ebay over the years, and got tired of going to the post office just to weigh the thing i was listing,i won't have to do that anymore either,so that in itself was well worth the $7.50 haha, this one will weigh up to 6 pounds so it will be very versatile for alot of things.

I got a good (enough) digital scale for food and things like that, but measuring by the drop? Yeah, different scale! LOL. I want one of those Adam Scales, but I will settle for a cheap one until I can stop spending on other stuff.

I think a lot get's down to How Large of a Quantity on is Mixing.

If you are Off a Couple of Drops making a 60ml Batch. Eah... Ca Sara Sara. But if you are Off the Same amount doing a 5ml Test Batch, well, that might be a Different Story.

I started with syringes, etc... but almost immediately went to weighing. Started with a small scale from Amazon to see if I would like doing it this way and within a week, graduated to this scale:

http://www.tmart.com/300g-x-0.001g-B3003T-Electronic-Balance-Laboratory-Scale-White_p152567.html

I almost cannot believe how easy it makes all of this and especially how quick and repeatable with very few tools and very quick cleanup.

I also cannot believe the negative reaction by some when it comes to weighing. Over on FB, in the DIY groups, they are endlessly talking about syringes and counting drops, etc... but GOD HELP YOU if you suggest that they try weighing... The purpose of those groups being to help people DIY safely, easily and consistently... but weighing? Might as well be a liberal trying to talk to a bunch of tea party folks... or visa versa

I've had a simple suggestion to use a scale deleted from a topic that went on forever about how to calibrate and count drops with the explanation being that 'weighing is too confusing for beginners'... What a load of crap...

Another group was met with a trolling jerk who kept going on about how different VG's weigh different amounts, how ridiculously expensive it is, how inaccurate it is etc, etc... my only response, besides the obvious, was to ask them what their time was worth in $$$... in the end, that topic too was deleted...

So basically, I've decided that if I see someone ask about weighing over there, I will take it off line and PM them... but I'll be damned if I'm going to waste a single key stroke 'helping' in a group that doesn't really want any help, other than to continuously tell people how to eyeball syringes, calibrate drops and not vape with flavors that they buy at Walmart...

Considering just how pleasurable and easy weighing is, I just cannot believe the resistance to it..
