Oh, one positive change feedback. I like how the default avatar for a member who doesn't upload one is now a color box with their username letters. It does look nicer than the grey generic male/female/? avatar there was before.

I dunno. I'm kinda looking forward to that in one specific section of the forum.
OK, now with a little time on Aluminum, I do like the look. Sort of like the card look Google did for phones and now a little more like Apple is with iOS 11. I am happy the text in black, far more readable. It's loading just fine for me, but I'm on high speed Ethernet so no feedback on a dial up. For the occasional times I access by mobile I use Tapatalk so I have no idea how this change here will possibly translate to their, if at all.
I'll have to play around more with the post/text editor but it seems full featured.
Still not crazy about the round vs. square avatars. My personal preference would still be square and it would still be in keeping with the new look on Aluminum.

Oliver is really trying hard to get the forum in top shape. He's been working non stop for days and he really does want the site to be better.
We all know you can't please everyone but some of the remarks are just disheartening to him.
At least he is keeping us in the loop and taking all suggestions to heart. He does listen to the people that are the backbone of a good forum.
Please be patient. It will all work out in time. There may be tweaks that are needed but we will get there.

I'm going to subscribe and start giving money to the forum, although I'm thinking I'll wait til the new theme is ready.. don't want my membership lost..

They were only back for 2 seconds on mine. I liked a post (yes it was sweet) but didn't show on post as liked.
This means they will be back sooner rather than later..

FYI: I do not think that is what is going to happen. I'm stealing this one cuz I LIKE it!
The positive nature of ECF is one of the things that keeps everyone coming back and building the friendships.
As a person that does rely on the like system......a lot..... this is just as frustrating to me as it is to everyone else. I know they will come back so I'm exercising my patience button.....a lot....
