To see a brief view of your alerts you have way too many steps now.. 2 taps to get you to another screen.. then you have to go back from there... lotta work to see likes... or comments, it was easier before
Agreed . . . Really "Like" the "Agree"/"Disagree" buttons too . . . Now if "We" could get a "Read" Button added to acknowledge reading the post without providing a comment would make it really nice - IMO . . . Just Sayin' . . .

I think over time, especially within a thread, the buttons will get their own meanings. I like having the extra choices now, especially the heart, to send a caring hug on some of the posts where the news was sad.I think we sort of have those options..
Let's just use an example, someone says, I have cancer. You could use the heart button to show some love, or someone says My house was hit by the hurricane, you could use the informative button or the optimistic rainbow button symbolizing hope..
