I have been testing mine today. Mixed up 4 little bottles of unflavored and I have 2 I like best. I made my own chart for notes so once the format is confirmed I will be able to report my findings.

Interesting to me, I know people vape unflavored all the time but I have never tried it. Because of this I realize it is pretty good! And will be great for resetting burnt out tastebuds!!

USPS did deliver today!

There's more color difference among the 4 samples than I expected.

I mixed up small bottles 1ml VG, 2ml PG, 1ml PG nic for 25mg 75/25. This is the upper limit of what I use, usually only used when I just want to take a few puffs and stop and put it away. I'm using a little tootle-puffer mini dripper at 1.8 ohm, 7.5 watts and getting a lovely throat hit and very little taste from the first sample I tried. (This is what the RDA looks like Mini RDA )

Later, I'll mix some 6mg which is my all-day every-day level. Still debating the VG/PG ratio that I will use.

Yep, that surprised me too as I was dispensing them.

I use nothing except small RDAs, bottom-fed though, and I do run them a little hotter than that though. 15-20 watts is no problem with the right build, so just above tootle-puffer territory.

That Mini RDA looks perfect for testing like this.

Good, I was hoping it wasn't due to excessive heat while in transit.

With a drilled out airhole, yes. It was hard to get used to the tight airflow again when I pulled this one out of storage last week. It used to be possible to find the mini RDAs in the US, but they don't seem to be as popular anymore.

I've just gone back through the last few pages of this thread and it looks like everyone has reported receiving their samples except Johnny. Johnny, would you mind confirming receipt? USPS claims they delivered at/in your mailbox on July 16, 2015 at 3:59 pm.

went through 1st 10ml sample A today mixed 50/50. making notes until standard is decided. i vaped some flavored juice from other devices during test to give taste buds a change up. seems to make it like you get a fresh test when you pick up and start vaping flavorless again.

Here are my notes thus far...

VT - VapersTek
VZ - Vaping Zone
XV - Xtreme Vaping
NN - Nude Nicotine

Others you may have on hand and tested for comparison Name 1, Name 2, etc.

Circumstances...
Nic Level for testing ____ (Please use a constant level across tests)
Vaping Wattage ____ (if known)
Type of Atomizer _____
Clarity of Dilutents ...
PG/VG Ratio for Testing (50/50 suggested) _____

The following are taken from Cyrus's original evaluations - some interpretation may be helpful.
My Scalar thoughts offered...
Clarity of Color, Undiluted (Scale 1 to 10 with 10 being most clear)
Clarity of Color, Diluted (Scale 1 to 10 with 10 being most clear)
Clarity of Odor, Nosed (Scale 1 to 10 with 10 being most ???)
Clarity of Odor, Vaped (Scale 1 to 10 with 10 being most ???)
Clarity of Flavor, Vaped (Scale 1 to 10 with 10 being most ???)
Throat Hit (Scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the greatest TH)
Pepper Taste (Scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the LEAST pepper taste?) Depends if pepper taste is desirable...
Purest Possible Taste while Maintaining (Massive?) Throat Hit (Scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best)

I'm mostly with you on this.
But, would 1 be the lowest among the 4 samples or lowest of anything we've ever tried?
I'm not sure I can separate "Clarity of Odor, Vaped" from "Clarity of Flavor, Vaped"
I think there should be 2 "flavor" rankings, one to indicate a pleasant natural or tobacco taste, one for objectionable tastes (rubber/fishy/chemical). I guess I'm seeing a pleasant tobacco-ish taste as different from pepper taste. Or just change the wording from "Pepper" to "Pepper/tobacco"

Wow1420, I find 1 that has a pleasant slight tobacco taste and another that tastes peppery and super harsh and not pleasant, and then there is 1 that has a slight chemical odor, but very light taste. o_O

I don't think we should talk much about specifics observations yet, but at least all 4 are still better than the worst I've ever tasted (one brand that got fishy with age).

Tested my second one this morning. Very different from the first. I think Tuesday evening when all the box mods are back home I am going to vape them all side by side with new wick and wire. .5 ohms at 40 watts. They all have different rda's on them. But they are all basically equal when it comes to flavor and airflow. Max vg at 6mg.

I have only mixed 50/50 @ 12mg in a tank so far. Bases are flavorless with vg having the standard light sweetness to it. Essential depot vg stored in glass liters. My pg is from heartland flavorless with that very slight bump at the back of the throat. To me one sample is just better than the other. Still have 2 samples to go on this initial round.

I think that 'tobacco taste' and 'pepper' can be distinctly different. I do applaud your suggestion that 'tobacco taste' be considered for taste testing.

'Pepper' can be as much or more of a feeling in the mouth as it is a 'taste.' At least that was my experience with some now long gone nic base.

Visual Evaluation: Since I was charged with this, I will present some results. I don't think this will skew anything because everyone else can also see their samples. My plan was to fill a 30 ml glass bottle with each base, but it turns out I don't have enough identical 30 ml clear glass bottles to do that and make 30 ml bottles of vapable mix. So I'm doing this in the process of mixing down. I began by putting a measured 5ml of base in each bottle:

Yes, they're arranged by our perception of how dark the colors are. Sample A is definitely the darkest. There's very little difference (if any) between D and B. C is clearly the outlier here.

We (neither my daughter or I) spotted any cloudiness or turbidity in any of the samples. So we're calling them all equally "clear" despite their differences in color.

Next I added 3 ml of PG to each sample. The PG was sourced from Vapers Tek; I received it in the same package as their their nic a few weeks ago. Then I added 12 ml of VG. The VG came from Nude Nicotine, also in the same package as their nic. Both the PG and the VG were smell-tested and neither had much noticeable odor. Anyway, the resultant mix is a 25mg 40/60. I usually vape at closer to 30/70, but I upped the PG in the name of science. In addition, I made a 5th bottle of 0 mg 40/60 (8 ml PG, 12 ML VG).

Here are the freshly mixed vapable samples:

What I find interesting here is sample C no longer looks entirely colorless in comparison to the nic-free PG/VG mix (but it's close).
