I cannot speak for Cool_Breeze, but I do know that many people(and eliquid-makers), myself included, add water for the reasons of improved wicking, improved evaporation and "more opened" taste, even with unflavored... A 50/50 mix for me, would be 45/45/10, not counting the nic, and that is still 50/50 pg/vg ratio :)

Absolutely :toast: 10% water with my PG liquids. 20% water my with 100% VG liquids. :)

I cut my VG with 15% water to get the viscosity I like. I'm thinking each of us needs to note our mix ratios and perhaps sources to help interpret each others' findings.

On a related note, I'm thinking a vodka gimlet would be an appropriate palate cleanser before embarking on these comparisons. :D

Ok got mine and already made my testers up - all these huge ego batts are coming in very handy. ;) Since I am only doing 4 with nicotine, it is easier to use a 1- 4 scale. If I try to do a 1-10 scale I have no idea how to do it. I will use 70%PG/30%VG (otherwise it is hard for me to breathe), 16.5mg nicotine (what was easiest to make doing 3ml testers).
Pepper and/or Throat Hit is gonna be tricky for me. There is 1 I am already sorry I mixed with 16.5mg nic. It numbs my tongue!

Sorry, I don't know if it's common knowledge, but I browsed around the heartlandvapes page, and by checking the coa and then afterwards the batchnumber I can tell you that they for sure uses alchem's nic i.e. nicselect.

Ecx is listed on the nicselect page, so that's no surprice and mfs isn't listed, and I know they reported to having stopped using it a long time ago, but I am pretty sure they use it again because they have the nicselect banner about purity, but just changed out 'nicselect' wording with 'mfs', and the same marketing phrases...

Anyway, just a small FYI from me :)

I will be vaping each of these for 2-3 full days, alternating daily. With a side by side when needed - using two matching FEV v3's; at high power and temps on pure rayon.

I'll be mixing at 9mg, 9pg/91vg... I typically vape 100vg - no water, until it gets below 55°f, then as little as possible for tanks.

I find water mutes the flavoring myself, even at 3-5%.

Somewhere out there
Still waiting for USPS to do it's thing.

While waiting, I've read through some of the early posts by Cyrus in this thread. I found post #1 and #65 helpful in understanding the attributes used in his reviews.

Is anyone in the test team able to test nicotine levels? All four of the vendors involved have good reputations, so I'd be very surprised if anything was found to be amiss. But in the interest of completeness, it may be worth checking?

Ok it is going to be way too hot this next few days so are we all decided on what we are doing??
I mean as in questions and way to grade each nicotine? o_O

yeah. Some sort of simple template or something for us to note as we sample would be cool.

Haven't mixed anything up yet, been working like crazy and haven't had time, but I'm looking forward to it.

Lol, Roly, or Oldsoldier came in here once and yelled that testing nic levels should be the first priority here.
