Just ordered some Nude Nicotine Nic Salt's HIT to try.
Supposedly, you can achieve a better throat hit (which I prefer, I think I'm of the rare type that likes TH) but using less nic.

quoted from NN:
"This is a character that is extremely attractive to some! The vaper may focus on the throat “bite” of “Hit,” rather than that of dosing with nicotine or the need for the other effects of nicotine."

Thats my goal on this endeaver.

I typically vape 18mg nic, mtl, I would like less nic effect on my body, but with more TH, and this is supposed to go that way. We'll see!

Anyone have tried the nic salts back to back with regulard nic at same strength?

thx

Haven't had to order nic in over a year. Last time it was Nic River (Nicselect) and it has been great. My brother ordered some 50/50 12nic about 4 months ago per my recommendation and it was rank. They sent him two different replacements (100% pg 12nic and 100% vg 12nic) and same thing, rank nasty taste. I really didn't believe him at first but he sent it to me last week and yep, rank and nasty. Very harsh and makes me cough. Unvapable.
So now I'm apprehensive about buying more from NR. Anyone have recent orders turn out good? Bad?
I ordered the exact same thing on August 4th of this year and mine was fine other than seeming a little "thick" for 50/50. I've been vaping it unflavored since and it tastes fine. Hmm-maybe your's was from an earlier, older batch?

...and is it possible to 'salt' existing nic?

Yes, in principle, but I have never done it myself. One would add a benign acid, like citric or pyruvic acid, until the pH drops to where you want it. Besides NN, I have seen this done commercially, Vermont Vapor, with citric acid, but not for the purpose of creating salts, just during production of nic solutions to cut down on smell of the pure nic. This was years ago, and I am assuming they still do this. They sell 35 mg/mL DIY VG-nic, which if only free-base form would be about pH 10.4, but theirs is roughly pH 9. So a significant amount of the nic is citrate salt form. I don't have exact numbers since it is an amphoteric salt, which adds a bit of complication to the calculation.

And of course if you were to do this, or purchase nic salt solutions, you will no longer be able to determine nicotine content by titration kit, since the acid (like citric) essentially titrates some of the free-base nic, which is what a titration kit will measure, not total nic content, free-base + salt form. Some flavors will do this too if they are acidic...which also makes salts.

Well i got my litre of MFS 100 mg nicotine. I am very impressed, clean no noticeable smell and very smooth indeed.I vape flavored at around 8 mg but i am currently vaping it unflavored at 15 mg to test it.I normally vape RTS or NN and cannot tell the difference between all three. This was a bargain for $36 including shipping.I ordered it Monday and it arrived in Pennsylvania today.

Good to hear @Dubminer I just got 4L of 100mg, ordered Saturday and came in today. MFS has impressed me, my first order with them, got the black Friday deal and new member discount, $32 a liter shipped. Of the 11 orders I placed from different suppliers over the weekend, MFS and Bulk Apoth were the best as far as super fast shipping and tracking communication. I've barely heard from some of the other suppliers yet, that kind of service makes a difference.

@Fozzy71 Thank you fozzy,i vape around 8mg and could not tell the difference between NN and RTS.Both seem very neutral which i like.I hate the peppery tasting nicotine and thought i read somewhere MFS was peppery.I think i will order a Litre.
It's been about a year since I used my MFS Nic but to me it was slightly peppery, NN is not.

What causes the peppery taste we get from some nics?
What causes some to have a strong nic taste that screws with our flavors?
What causes some to have an intolerable massive throat/chest hit even at .2%?
All questions I would love to know the real answers to but probably wouldn't understand the science behind. Still, could it just be the PH? Will salting fix it? Hmmm...
I have a crap load of "unvapable" nic from NR. If using citric acid could fix it I would be willing to give it a try.
