I'm going to guess by the little star engraved on it, and the starry background on the web page, that it's named after the star.
Just a hunch.

I agree, but the thought of Procyon lotor was just too cool not to consider.

It looks cool, but not my vaping profile. I don't use the 18650 size in my ProVape tube mods and my happy place range is 9 to 15 watts.
I'm in the same boat. 350's for the tubes and the Radius for the 650's.

I like it, but other than the increased wattage, how does it compare to the ol' 2.5? I do love tube mods, they are less obvious. I am guessing this would be a better buy than the p3?

sent from my Galaxy Note 5

It's only a better buy if you can live with 18650 only.

I can do that at home, not out and about.

I use an 18490 in the P3 & full size, but 18350s in the rest. The only devices I use 18650s in are the Radius, Bobo, the Reo Grand and the Phidias

I've never used my P3 in 18650 mode. I've only used it in 18490 mode. But there have been many days when a 18490 battery pooped out on me. So, even though the Procyon will be taller than my P3, it will last me longer and I spect that'll be a good thing. Yes I do!

Sides, I'm the absolute worst when it comes to new Shiny-Itis. How can there be a cool new Provari out in the wild and SR, not have one? Huh? How?? LOL

Hey John! Welcome back.

I guess the Dicodes Dani Extreme v2 is 40W.. If there is any other tube at, or above, 50W I'd look to their line, but as of now, I think you're right; the Procyon is the winna and champeen for now anyway.

Nope, the Heatvape Power Tube is 60W and has TC. But it is also 18650 only and isn't nearly as nice looking as the Procyon, IMHO.

and I bet if you did a side by side comparison between the two...same atty, same build, both at max wattage...the 50 watt Procyon would hit harder then the 60 watt power tube ;)

You're probably right. ProVape puts quite a bit more research into their products and doesn't release until they are satisfied that they are putting out the best possible product. Heatvape has decent devices that perform well for "the masses", but they are not in the same category as ProVape. I have been quite pleased with my Invader Mini, though. That's the one that I use and abuse when doing yard work or am crawling underneath a car. It's rather inexpensive and can actually survive being driven over by a truck. I wouldn't cry if I managed to break it... a $200+ Procyon though... if I scratched it, I'd cry...
