What is the internal resistance of this cell?

We don't have any to test at the moment, but if its between 20-24milliohm (lower is better) it should be ok. If the internal resistance gets over 25mohm and you want to push it to 50 watts, this can cause too much voltage drop. It's critical that you use a GOOD battery if you are going to use it at higher power.

If you are only vaping at 10-30 watts, it's probably fine.

Another great option would be the LG HG2 3000 mah. Those have a internal resistance of around 20.4 which is really good.

Thanks. I don't vape over 10 watts, so it's likely academic in my case. I don't know how to compute the internal resistance of any cell. I don't know if anyone can figure it out from the specifications:

AW IMR18650 3000mAh 20A FLAT TOP

Specifications :

Nominal Voltage : 3.7V
Capacity : 3000mAh
Lowest Discharge Voltage : 2.50V

Max. continuous discharge rate : 20A

Operating Discharge Temperature : -20 - 60 Degree Celsius

I think we're going to need a new Provarinati end cap.

Will the new cap cause problems with the 2.5 glued-in board?

This is our concern with the mini. The longer 2.5 has more room and the P3 is a-ok in all configurations.

The 2.5 being a low power unit doesn't benefit really, but the P3 and beyond do.

When you check IQ on the P3 with the new cap you will see a difference :)

What about the Classic, should the cap be OK in all three configurations?

Well, considering I was one of those people asking for an 18650-only "P4" with 30W+, I'm obligated to get a Procyon. After owning a satin silver P3, that's my first choice of 'color' now. At least the wear patterns were interesting with the P2.5's teardrops and crop circles - not sure how the plain tube wear pattern would look (but we'll see photos someday).

Is the Procyon now the highest wattage tube mod available? I know there was a 40W tube using the DNA40. Maybe ProVape just wanted the crown. :)

I'm keeping the P3, especially since it's 'special' - it's a beta model. Time to thin out the collection a bit more though. Maybe some of my older mechs can go. Hummmm...

#TubeLove! Wait, that could be misinterpreted. ;)

Firmware updates... There's always a tradeoff. Plenty of shops have programmers for the P3 now. I would assume the same programmer could be used on the Procyon, as I doubt shops will spend the $$$ on a whole new setup. I would venture a guess that a new end piece would be needed due to the full-size tube on the Procyon, but not the programmer itself.

Display size... I agree there is room for improvement, but it doesn't require a new screen, just a different GUI design. Perhaps a much larger wattage display, drop the .2 increments after 10W (or just don't display them) - they're a bit silly IMHO after 10-20W anyway. Make the display toggle between two screens every 2 seconds (and go back to screen 1 with every fire button press). Screen 1 has wattage and battery meter; screen 2 has coil resistance and battery meter. Menus could be a single, larger line. No need for the scrolling wattage screen IMHO - just change the numbers. Just a few thoughts. I'm fine with it the way it is, but in an attempt to please the most people...

P3 threaded... Sure would still like to see a single P3/510 adapter instead of the bolt and beauty ring that seizes to tanks. Hopefully an accessory in the works. I'll need 3 - P3, Radius, Procyon. You listening @Vape360? Thanks! :)

Thank you for responding....
Buuut you've been using the same screen size for years!!! With all the R&D that goes into these devices I'm sure by now ya'll have got to know many of your customers are not in their 20's with 20/20 vision.

Not trying to be funny- right now can only speak for myself. A few months ago I had eye surgery. If it weren't for that surgery, the only menu I could use was the 2.5....even now owning a Radius, I have to grab glasses to see anything I am doing- my other devices (not ProVape) I don't need an extra pair of eyes at all.
That's a good point but maybe there is a way to increase the magnification of the window without significantly increasing the size. By using a higher magnification than the current window it wouldn't require changing the display, just the window.

Just stainless steel caps at the moment. Don't know if they will be available in TI yet :)

Probably available in black and satin silver to start.

That was more in the way of wishful thinking on my part.

Given the way I vape, using mostly 18350s and fairly low wattage, they aren't strictly needed.

When I stumbled upon the new page on Provape's website last night, my thoughts went INSTANTLY to you!
I'm stoked you got your suP3r Provari!

(Get it? s-u-P-3-r Provari? Cuz it's a Super P3...with a new name?)

Hey John! Welcome back.

I guess the Dicodes Dani Extreme v2 is 40W.. If there is any other tube at, or above, 50W I'd look to their line, but as of now, I think you're right; the Procyon is the winna and champeen for now anyway.
