Porcher Odyssey Pre-Planning Discussion Phase II

Once this gets beyond the surveying part and actually gets to the planning part I see a need for those of us actually participating to step out from behind the shield of anonymity that user names and vague locations allow. Is there a way to set up a database for names, phone numbers etc. that we can limit access to only those actually going. For planning purposes we are actually going to need to be able to call each other ect. Just thought I would mention it so our resident brains can figure it out.

I believe I can set 'security' so only particular people can see the form/spreadsheet. But I'd need email addresses of those people. We can cross that bridge if/when we get to it.

Right now it's set that only people w/ the 'link' can view it. It's won't show up in google searches (at least it's not supposed to).

Although it's still early in the process, I would have thought more of our Florida contingent would have responded to the form Mike so graciously provided .. I think Gracie is on vacation .. ?? At any rate, I just hope I was not wrong in my assessment of a large portion of the Tribe being located in Florida .. at my age, who knows .. ??

Well, because I am not retired, I would not want to burden the rest of your passengers with me having to get back in time to go to work. I have vacation time. That's not a problem. I would more than likely go in my vehicle and be perfectly happy to follow along once you guys pass through my neck of the woods. Going? Yes, I very much want to go!!

And I'm sure at least one of the contingent in my Passenger Manifest would be happy to keep you company .. in fact, by then, all may have had more than enough of me and would prefer to hitchhike rather than endure any longer ..

I think we do have more. Does anybody remember who it is that was talking to me about Loxahatchee, FL. She works at a dog kennel place. Haven't heard from her in quite a while but, she did pop up on the back porch just recently.
Johnny, Susan and Gracie are all close to Central Florida and I will be in Ft. Lauderdale area permanently in a few months. Somebody is also in the Jacksonville area but, as usual I can't remember his name. Active on the porches though.
Willy, Did you post anything about this on the Front Porch? Might get a few more there. Like us that tend to stay on the Back Porch there are some that pretty much stay on the front. Your call if you want to extend the call to action there.
This was a great idea and I really hope we can make it a reality. Thanks my friend for getting the conversation started.

I agree, It needs to go on the FP, too. That'll teach 'em not to check in on the BP & be social!

Ok, I got the info on the stem cell study I'm up for. Here is what I waas talking about being worried about might prevent me from being able to go.;

"You will be in the study for about 52 weeks or 1 year, which includes a possible 4 week screening period, a 12-week safety and efficacy period, and then a 40-week long-term safety and efficacy follow-up period.".

If the trip falls in the last part, then I'm pretty sure I can go as long as funds allow. The 12 week part may only mean a once a month visit, in which case I can probably go, too. I won't even know when I get the infusion until 8/21 so I guess I'm on hold till then.

Fishing off the dock ... how'd I miss that? Maybe I was too busy trying to see where the electrical outlets were for plugging in all the batt chargers that are sure to be there.
