Texas
Rather than holding it "inland", areas like South Padre Beach have tons of places to rent out for a weekend and some of 'em are fairly inexpensive, especially off season. Bonus.. Mexico is a short drive away for some rather awesome shopping. :D

Heck, I was in Ketchikan. 'Course, that was about 60 years back...
You and who else? That would have brought the population to 6, 60 years ago!
Besides, it's NEVER sunny in Ketchican!!! Their symbol (Honestly) is called the Ketchican Rain Bird, kind of a Pellican trying to hide under an umbrella!)

Ya, I know, there are a "few" more people in Ketchican than 6 but not many, ha, ha. You'd never recognize it now, that's for sure. It's actually become quite the "metropolitan area".
As of 2013, there were actually 8,214 people in Ketchican. ;)
The rainbird bar is still there and I pulled up this flyer image to show the symbol of Ketchican.

Yessir, sunshine is a rare commodity in Ketchican!
