If you enjoy taking apart your PV every 15 to 20 minutes and thoroughly cleaning every conceivable contact point with alcohol to keep it performing at its advertised specs then this is the unit for you. My 2.5 was a great piece of equipment. The 3.0 is in my estimation is on par with the China mods of a few years ago.

Just a few questions, what batteries are you using and how old are your batteries and what are you seeing for the IQ on them? What watt or voltage are you trying to run the P3 at with what type of resistance atomizer?

That new Procyon is sweet. Might have to pick up the black one!
It would have been nice to see them rework the Radius model into the industry standard side by side mod for the procyon instead of a 50w long tube.

Not bashing them, I have two provaris and like them and love the craftsmanship of their work. I just wish they would take the lead on design instead of always playing it safe.

Playing it safe is what they have always been about. And I like that myself. When I pick up a Provari and hit that fire button, I don't want anything bad happening. I had a Sigelei 30w mini that started auto firing after 3 weeks, scared the heck outta me. Never again. I am confidant that won't happen with a Provari.

Im not talking about playing it safe with safety. Im talking about the design of the mod body. They could have put a little more effort into a newer design for this new 50w product instead of just using the P3 model and stamping a different engraving on it. The industry is trending to smaller, compact and better form factor. They just could have used this opportunity to do it.

Provari has definitely fell way behind the curve. They really need to consider upping their game. I am still partial to them tho because my OG Provari was the first premium mod I ever bought and it still works perfect to this day. I will still probably pick up one of these Procyons but might wait a bit to see if they put a V2 out that has more wattage and TC.

I have 5 Provaris, 2- 2.5's, a Dragon, a P3, and a Classic, never a problem. Have you contacted Provape about the problems?
Sent it back and they say it's fine, just needs cleaned. Yeah, it does work great after being cleaned, IQ above 60, for about 25 minutes then IQ drops back below 50. I use the recommended batteries to no avail. Until Provape gives me some satisfaction I will never purchase from them again.

Yes I have contacted them. All they ever say is clean it. I do and it works fine for about 15 minutes, that is an IQ above 60 that allows watts over 15. They down it goes allowing only 15 or less watts. Happy to hear yours works fine. Wish mine did.

Even Phil Busardo says the latest Provari's are a tough sell. For a couple of years that's about all you saw him vape with at vape meets.

I have a couple of 2.5's and a P3. Loved them and was one of the bigger supportors of Provari, but my vaping style has changed (surprise!!) from the Tootle Puffer days to using 30 watts in a mech and RX200. I doubt that I've touched a Provari in over a year. I think I would like the Radius, but...

Provape seems to have resorted to lying about other devices in order to elevate their own product. Sad that it's come to that.

Where exactly have they resorted to lying about other devices?

In the Procyon presentation. The "erratic output" of other devices (most of the popular devices today are very accurate, and certainly not erratic), safest electronic cigarette (it really doesn't have safety features that other modern mods lack). If not outright lies then certainly exaggerations. It could also be argued that the longer runtime claim is not strictly correct either as single battery isn't mentioned. The 4x improvement in electrical connection due to the "high performance end cap" seems a bit incredulous as well. That would require the conductivity of other mods to be truly horrid, when it in many cases comes close to the conductivity of good mech mods.

I wouldnt call the "erratic output of other devices a lie"

I kave a Kanger Kbox mini that is definitely not accurate at lower wattage settings. I use it only as a stand for rebuilding. Thats all its good for.
I also have an Aspire Pegasus that I really want to like, but anytime you change atomizers it wants to fire at an absurd 6.5v- 7V for several seconds before settling in on the set wattage. Thats the supposed way it checks to see if it needs to be in temp control. I think its defective as its supposed to only do it for a second or two but it does it for much longer. I contacted Aspire, but the return policy is a joke and somewhat expensive for returning a defective product. I didnt bother trying with the Kanger as that was a cheap POS anyway.
